Abstract

This study aims to investigate the meaningful pattern that can be used to improve digital culture in higher education based on parameters of the technology acceptance model (TAM). The methodology used is the data mining technique with K-means algorithm and text analytics. The experiment using questionnaire data with 2887 respondents in Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The data analysis and clustering result show that the perceived usefulness and behavioral intention to use information systems are above the normal value, while the perceived ease of use and actual system use is quite low. Strengthened with text analytics, this research found that the EDA and K-means result in harmony with the hope or desire of academic society the information system implementation. This research also found how important the socialization and guidance of information systems, especially the new one information system, in order to improve digital culture in higher education.

Abstract

Fokus utama naskah ini adalah gagasan tentang penterapan Total Quality Manajemen untuk peningaktan mutu madrasah. Pembahasan menggunakan analitis kritis sebagai pengembangan dari metode deskriptif. Objek kajian adalah gagasan atau ide. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah book survey atau library research. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa banyak hal yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas madrasah, salah satunya melalui penterapan manajerial berbasis peningkatan mutu. Implementasi Total Quality Manajemen untuk peningkatan mutu madrasah dapat diidentifikasi dari karakteristik TQM di madrasah meliputi Efektifitas proses belajar mengajar tinggi; kepemimpinan madrasah kuat; pengelolaan tenaga kependidikan yang efektif; madrasah memiliki budaya mutu; madrasah memiliki teamwork yang kompak, cerdas dan dinamis; madrasah memiliki kemandirian; partisipasi warga madrasah; madrasah memiliki transparansi menejemen; madrasah memiliki kemauan untuk berkembang; madrasah melakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan secara berkelanjutan; madrasah responsip dan antisipatif terhadap kebutuhan; madrasah memiliki akuntabilitas. Adapun strategi penterapan TQM di madrasah dapat diidentifikasi melalui kesatuan tujuan, concern pada kualitas, fokus pada peserta didik, komitmen jangka panjang, kerjasama tim (teamwork), perbaikan sistem secara berkesinambungan dan adanya pelibatan dan pemberdayaan seluruh SDM.

Abstract

The rising global competition makes State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, to increase the quality of its institution toward World Class University. This study aims to describe the university policies and the recommended top priority programs for the next five years (2019-2023). This study was conducted in 2019 on the campus. The study used descriptive analysis and the result was analyzed based on Quacquarelly Symonds (QS) ranking. The data was gathered using a forum group discussion and field study. The field study was in the form of benchmarking on several universities in Indonesia. The result showed that the growth rate was constant, and it can be meassured that UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung will become World Class University by 2029; It will have score 23 and will be in the 500 QS Asia World University ranking. Through annual programs and targets, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung can achieve its goals to be a world class university. Abstract

This paper aims to identify the financing management in a pesantren in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative approach employing a case study. The data collection techniques used in this study were in-depth interview, observation, and literature study. The research was conducted at Pesantren Tarekat al-Idrisiyyah Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia and it found several findings: First, the source of financing came from the santri (pesantren students), government grant, social donation and auction from jamaah (communities), and pesantren business unit. Second, the financing plan of pesantren was prepared and established in the form of RKP (Rapat Kerja Pesantren/Pesantren Budget Plan) through Rakernas (Rapat Kerja Nasional/National Summit). Third, the implementation of financing included the receipt and expenditure of funds record. Fourth, evaluation and financial accountability took place as reflection of good financial management. When financing management was done professionally in spending salaries, benefits, and purchase of infrastructure improvement, the impacts led to pesantren achievements both in academic and non-academic fields.

Abstract

Kurikulum adalah ruhnya Pendidikan, mengembangkannya adalah sebuah keharusan dan keniscayaan bagi semua Lembaga Pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi kurikulum prototype sebagai bentuk inovasi dan jawaban dari perubahan dan tantangan zaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan library research. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik studi perpustakaan (Library Reseach). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan latar belakang, konsep, teori serta seperangkat pembejaran terkait kurikulum prototype telah disiapkan oleh pemerintah. Kurikulum prototipe merupakan lanjutan dari kurikulum masa pandemi Covid-19 atau kurikulum darurat yang telah diluncurkan pada Agustus 2020 silam. Fase dan Struktur Kurikulum Paradigma Baru Tahun 2022 meliputi: Struktur Kurikulum, Capaian Pembelajaran, Fase Sekolah, Jumlah Jam Pelajaran, Asesmen Kolaboratif, Pendekatan Pembelajaran, Adanya Mata Pelajaran TIK di SMP, Mata Pelajaran IPAS, Program Peminatan di tingkat SMA/MA dilaksanakan di kelas XI.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of limited face-to-face learning in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This study is conducted in the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung during the trial phase of limited face-to-face learning from October to December 2021. The data are collected from documentation and questionnaires given to students as the subject of this study. The results showed that limited face-to-face learning is conducted systematically and following the protocols during the New Normal era. This face-to-face learning is attended by 3rd-semester students from all majors. The university has planned and prepared every aspect to support the process of face-to-face learning. The process of teaching is done well and the evaluation on the effect of limited face-to-face on the quality of acquired knowledge showed a maximum score. The main obstacle during the limited face-to-face learning comes from technical aspects such as the provision of facilities and resources for conducting limited face-to-face learning. The results of this study are hoped to be used as consideration for policymakers in conducting limited face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Research without the publication has not provided meaning about benefits and research results. Research results need to be published or disseminated to benefit the community. The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of universities in the acceleration of publication of research results. The research method used a qualitative approach. Sources of data consist of interviews with lecturers and team of journal publications, document studies, and reports on the achievements of publications of scientific papers. This study uses inductive thinking. This research was conducted on journal team and publication of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and research and publishing institute of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the publihed research results by professors in three State Islamic Universities (UINs). By using the descriptive–qualitative analysis and quantitative data reading, this study analyzes research outputs of lecturers with a full professorship in the State Islamic Universities from January to October 2019. The research finds that most of the professor’s research results were not published whether in the forms of books or scientific journal articles. 60% of the professors have a lack of understanding of the open journal system, which causes a low level of publication among them. One program that is very effective in helping them to increase the productivity of the publications is a program of publication assistance.  The well-versed information technology assistants help the professors to get familiar with the information technology. This study adds to the existing literature regarding the research performance of university professors, especially in understanding what factors that hinder the publication performance of State Islamic University professors in Indonesia.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi tata kelola sains agroteknologi di Pondok Pesantren Al Ittifaq Bandung, Jawa Barat. Pengembangan pertanian di Al Ittifaq tidak terlepas dari teknologi yang mendukungnya sehingga berpengaruh pada hasil pertanian. Fokus masalah penelitian ini pada dua hal yaitu agroteknologi dan etika pertanian, serta tata kelola sains di Al Ittifaq. Dua masalah tersebut dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus dan kajian filsafat etika pertanian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa agroteknologi yang diterapkan menggunakan smart greenhouse berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), dan penggunaan komposter dengan bahan dasar mikroorganisme fermentasi alami untuk pupuk organik. Dari segi implementasi tata kelola sains di Pondok Pesantren Al Ittifaq termasuk manajemen lembaga pendidikan modern karena mengadaptasi ilmu dan teknologi untuk mencapai tujuan. Kesimpulannya, agroteknologi di Ponpes Al Ittifaq sesuai dengan kaidah filsafat etika pertanian, dan tata kelola sainsnya merepresentasikan aplikasi sistem adaptif terhadap teknologi.

Abstract

This study aims to design a hadith study model to be involved in realizing the idea of society 5.0. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying the analytical descriptive method. The formal object of this research is the study of hadith in a broad sense, while the material object is the latest relevant method to realize the idea of society 5.0 as a research context. The results of this research and discussion propose the findings of the design of the hadith study model, especially through the application of the design thinking method and Higher Order Thinking Skills to transform hadith into the form of society 5.0. This study concludes that the use of the hadith study model design with the latest methods to realize the reality of society 5.0 requires a review of the classical hadith study habits through continuous testing until a more appropriate model is found.
