Abstract

ABSTRACTCareer aspiration is very important for students because career aspiration is the desire or hope, ideals, ambitions, and dreams that realistic individuals against certain achievements in the future. Career aspiration are associated with the primary desire of the individual, and an achievement that would like tried to be achieved. Based on the facts found in the field, the low high school graduates who do not attend school to college. In fact, the phenomenon had been contradiction with the high school purpose to continue their education to a higher level. That phenomenon is an indication that the students career aspirations are in the low category. One of the efforts to improving the students career aspiration is within information service. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of information services using discovery learning approach in improving students career aspiration. This study uses quantitative methods using Quasi Non Randomized Experiment with the design of pretest-posttest control group design. Subjects were students of SMAN 8 Padang as an experimental group and a students at SMAN 7 Padang as the control group. The research instrument used was Likert Scale models, then be analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test Two Independent Samples with SPSS version 17.00. The findings of this research generally indicates that the information service using discovery learning approach is effective in improving students career aspirations. Furthermore, research findings in particular that: (1) there are significant differences career aspiration in the students the experimental group before and after the information service using the approach of discovery learning, (2) there is a difference career aspiration in the control group before and after the information service without using the approach of discovery learning, (3) there is a difference career aspiration between the experimental group students were given information services using discovery learning approach to the control group were given the information service without using discovery learning approach. Based on the results of the study showed that the experimental group and the control group had increased scores in career aspirations but the experimental group experienced a greater improvement than the control group. Furthermore, based on the results of this study that can be suggested to the parties concerned to be able to work together to help students improve their career aspirations.Keywords: Career Aspiration of Students, Information Services, Discovery Learning

Abstract

AbstrakKonsep yang disajikan Permendikbud Nomor 81A Tahun 2013 mengenai potensi peserta didik untuk aktif mencari, mengolah, mengkontruksi, dan menggunakan pengetahuan tergambar jelas dalam pembelajaran kontekstual. Pembelajaran kontekstual dapat terlaksana dengan menggunakan tujuh pinsip yaitu kontruktivisme (constructivism), menemukan (inquiry), bertanya (questioning), masyarakat belajar (learning community), pemodelan (modelling), refleksi (reflection), dan penilaian autentik (authentic assessment). Terkait dengan adanya Bimbingan dan Konseling di sekolah maka substansinya adalah Bimbingan dan Konseling perlu disiapkan untuk memfasilitasi satuan pendidikan dalam mewujudkan proses pendidikan yang memperhatikan dan menjawab ragam kemampuan, kebutuhan, dan minat sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Bentuk pengimplementasian pembelajaran kontekstual dalam Bimbingan dan Konseling adalah adanya pelaksanaan layanan informasi format klasikal.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Bimbingan dan Konseling.

Abstract

ABSTRACKAcademic procrastination is an act of delays in doing a task. Based on the findings in the field, it was revealed that there are students who perform academic procrastination action. Procrastination is done in the form of a delay doing the thesis that has an impact on the completion of the study. The findings of this researcher into an indication that students have academic procrastination problems in doing thesis. One effort to solve the problem is by providing information services. This research uses quantitative method. This research type is experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. Research subjects amounted to 24 students of guidance and counseling courses above the eighth semester until academic year 2017/2018. The research instrument used Likert Scale model. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 20.00. In general, research findings indicate that information service is effective in reducing student academic procrastination in doing thesis. Specifically, 1) the level of student academic procrastination in doing thesis before being given treatment is in very high category; 2) the level of student academic procrastination in doing thesis after being given the treatment is in the high category; and 3) there is a difference or decreased level of student academic procrastination in doing thesis after given information service. Based on the results of this study can be suggested to the relevant parties in order to work together in helping to overcome the academic procrastination of students in doing thesis. Keywords: Academic Procrastination, Information Service.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPemanfaatan perkembangan teknologi kearah yang negatif mengakibatkan munculnya berbagai masalah diantaranya masalah penggunaan smartphone. Penggunaan smartphone yang salah dalam hal ini adalah penyebaran informasi yang tidak benar atau sering dikenal berita hoax. Permasalahan tersebut harus diatasi dengan pemberian layanan informasi format klasikal bermuatan pendekatan discovery learning. Informasi yang diberikan diharapkan memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa dalam mengatasi masalah pemanfaatan smartphone, sehingga pemberian informasi tersebut dapat memberikan efek yang positif kepada siswa dan terhindar dari penyampaian berita hoax. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Discovery Learning, Layanan Informasi, Format Klasikal IMPLEMENTATION OF DISCOVERY LEARNING APPROACH TO CLASICAL FORMAT INFORMATION SERVICESABSTRACT The use of technological developments towards the negative leads to the emergence of various problems including the problem of smartphone use. Incorrect use of smartphones in this case is the dissemination of information that is not true or often known as hoax news. These problems must be overcome by providing classical format information services with a discovery learning approach. Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research is intended to reveal students who are from outside the city of Padang. This research uses qualitative with descriptive method through collecting data with interviews, observation, and documentation. After the data is obtained then it is done by using the steps as follows, Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusion Drawings. The informants of this study were one person from outside the city of Padang and one person from the city of Padang. The results of this study are: 1) on indicators that discuss personal difficulties that are difficult to understand, 2) on indicators of social communication prepared about difficult time in socializing. Suggestions in this study are expected for migrants to be able to socialize well and are expected to be able to speak the new language, so that communication can continue.   Keywords: Self-Adjustment, Outside the City of Padang

Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi yang menjadi salah satu syarat dalam menyelesaikan studi seringkali menjadi fase yang dinilai berat bagi mahasiswa. Pada penyelesaian skripsi biasanya mahasiswa mendapatkan berbagai rintangan terutama godaan, serta rasa malas yang begitu besar sehingga dalam penyelesaiannya mahasiswa melakukan penundaan dalam penyusunan skripsi. Menunda dalam mengerjakan skripsi dapat dikatakan sebagai prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang nantinya analisis data mengunakan rumus persentase. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 24 orang mahasiswa yang berada di semester sepuluh. Temuan penelitian ini secara umum adalah tingkat prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan skripsi berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, dengan rata-rata 122,6. Berdasarkan hal tersebut diharapkan permasalahan prokrastinasi akademik tersebut dapat secepatnya diberikan solusi. Kata Kunci: Prokrastinasi Akademik, Mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION STUDIES GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING THE UNIVERSITY OF PGRI PALEMBANG IN A THESIS COURSE ABSTRACT Thesis which is one of the requirements in the studio that is completed becomes the agreed phase for students. At the completion of the thesis, students get various difficulties, temptations, and a sense of laziness that is so great that they can overcome the difficulties of students in completing the thesis. Scripts can help academic procrastination. This research is a quantitative descriptive research that analyzes data using a percentage formula. The subjects of this study were 24 students who were in the tenth semester. The results of this study in general are the level of student academic procrastination in working on the thesis in the very high category, with an average of 122.6. Based on this, it is expected that this solution to academic procrastination can be protected by a solution. Keywords: Academic Procrastination, Studies Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Verbal aggressive behavior is a negative behavior that is often found in everyday life. Researchers found verbal forms of student behavior when communicating with friends such as taunting friends by mentioning the name of a parent, hurting a friend by calling him an illegitimate child, and speaking harshly to the teacher. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the school environment on students' verbal aggressive behavior in communication. The population of this research is VIII grade students. The research sample of 160 people were selected using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data analysis using correlational product moment with the results of r_count of 0.328 and r_tabel value of 0.148 or in other words r_count> r_tabel = 0.328> 0.148. This shows the influence of the school environment on students' verbal aggressive behavior in communication.

Abstract

The problem of this research is based on the large number of students entering high school on the wishes of parents, students feel wrongly entering the department because it is not in accordance with their talents, interests and potential. Furthermore, efforts have been made by the teacher for guidance and counseling in providing Holland theory career guidance services. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this study were counseling teachers and students. Data analysis in this research uses steps of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Holland's theory career guidance services has been going well. From the results of interviews, observations and documentation to research informants regarding the implementation of Holland theory career guidance services, it can be understood that at the planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up stages have been going well as they should, this is evident in the existence of service program plans, materials and instruments Holland, as well as the results of the Holland instrument analysis of students who already know the personality type and direction of their career choices.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang sering melangar Peraturan tata tertib diSekolah Menegah Atas Pgri 5 Palembang, Seperti tidak memakai atribut sekolah dengan lengkap, terlambat kesekolah, keluar masuk jam pelajaran, tidak memasuk ketika bel sudah berbunyi. Oleh karna itu diperlukan layanan khusus yaitu pemberian layanan bimbingan kelompok supaya permasalhan siswa dapat teratasi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya layanan bimbingan kelompok terhadap pelangaran tata tertib yang dilakukan oleh anak-anak kelas 11, untuk mengetahui adakah bentuk keberhasilan setelah di diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini maka guru bimbingan dan konseling memberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik diskusi kelompok untuk membantu siswa mengatasi permasalahan yang ada disekolahan. Metode yang dipakai yaitu deskriftif kualitatif dengan mengunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok dilakukan dengan 4 tahap yang meliputi pembentukan, peralihan, kegiatan dan pengakhiran, ke empat langkah tersebut sudah dilakukan guru BK Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data, anak mengalami perubahan dari buruk ke baik. Dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signitifikan hasil perubahan perilaku siswa yang memperoleh bimbingan dari metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan siswa yang tidak memperoleh bimbingan di PGRI 5 Palembang.
