Abstract

Sebagai pendidikan nilai dan moral PPKn membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kesadarannya akan nilai-nilai yang termuat dalam hal yang menjadi obyek pembabasannya. Siswa diharap dapat menemukan, merasakan, serta memabami nilai yang termuat dalam hal atau obyek yang sedang dibabas, diharapkan siswa merniliki kepekaan untuk merasakan nilai-nilai bagi hidupnya, mernikirkan dengan benar dalam usaba mewujudkan nilai-nilai yang memang menjadi tujuan bagi bidupnya, dan akhiroya diharapkan siswa mampu mempertimbangkan dan mengambil keputusan uotuk bertindak secara moral dapat dipertanggungjawabkan mewujudkan nilai-nilai yang telab ditemukan tersebut. Dalam rangka mengembangkan kesadaran siswa akan nilai-nilai melalui pembelajaran PPKn, peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran paradigm a pedagogi reflektif pada Siswa SD Kelas II, Kelas 111, Kelas IV dan Siswa SD Kelas V. Pengguoaan model pembelajaran pedagogi reflektif, berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kesadaran siswa akan nilai kedisiplinan untuk siswa kelas II, kesadaran siswa akan nilai cinta tanab air untuk siswa kelas III, kesadaran siswa akan nilai globalisasi untuk siswa kelas IV, dan kesadaran siswa akan nilai demokrasi untuk siswa kelas V. Hal itu ditunjukan pada hasil analisis statistik bahwaada kenaikan rata-rata kesadaran siswa akan nilai-nilai tersebutdari pre-test ke post-test secara signifikan, (p = 0,000 < a =0,05).

Abstract

Teachers’ belief is an element that influences teachers’ decisions in their activities in the classroom. Researchers have formulated theories to conceptualize teachers’ knowledge and a fundamental belief in their teaching and developed methods to unpack them. ’Bumpy moments’ has been indicated as a potential method to uncover teachers’ belief in their natural setting. This study aims at developing an understanding of primary school teachers’ beliefs which underlie their decision in their classroom setting. The research used bumpy moments as a method. One primary school teacher who participated in this research were videotaped while she was teaching. The researchers and teacher watched their recorded teaching and the teacher was interviewed by using unstructured interview protocol. The research question was answered by running qualitative research to the primary school teacher. The research demonstrated that there are teacher beliefs held by the teacher. This can be seen in 1) beliefs in experience and ability in using media and methods in teaching, 2) beliefs in good teaching skills because understanding the students 'emotional dynamics in class and understanding the students' thought processes in learning, 3) beliefs in experiences in learning pedagogical knowledge in teaching. Bumpy moments methods were a potential method to be developed in Indonesian contexts.

Abstract

During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, changes in routine have affected students’ psychological development. This study aims to determine elementary school students’ mental health during the Corona Pandemic. The benefit of this research is as a basis for efforts to prevent and overcome unexpected psychological conditions in students. This research is a descriptive quantitative study using a survey method. The population in this study were 148 students aged 9-14 years. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. This study used the Indonesian version of Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire for Children (SDQC) arranged by Robert Goodman. The result showed that the condition of the students was in the "abnormal" category which was indicated by a condition that was less good than the condition in general. There were 17 (11.49%) students in the abnormal category on the disruptive behaviour subscale, 11 (7.43%) students on the hyperactive-inattention subscale, 10 (7%) students on the emotional subscale, 5  (3%) students on the indifference subscale, and 2 (1%) students on the relation problems subscale. Overall aspects of measurement show that the students show a state of "abnormal" status in one or two aspects and it means that students have good mental health.

Abstract

This research aims to provide insight and training of healthy habits in humans’ daily activities. The results of the initial observations and interviews conducted by the volunteers show that the limited access to information is the main obstacle. The implementation of this community service was carried out by distributing brochures as the media of information and providing training on healthy living habits supported by the provision of supporting tools such as masks, hand soaps, hand washing stations as the model so that people can develop independently. This Community Service is focused on 7 Healthy Living Community Movements  in accordance with the recommendations of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, namely (1) doing physical activity through healthy exercise, (2) eating healthy food with balanced nutrition and how to cook it, (3) maintaining family health, (4) using masks and self-made masks, (5) independently detecting symptoms of Corona Virus (Covid-19), (6) maintaining environmental cleanliness, (7) hand washing movement with Tegalsari, Karangmojo, Gunungkidul villagers. The conclusions of this service activity are: 1) The understanding of the people in Tegalsari about the Covid- 19 pandemic is getting better, so that they can protect themselves from the risk of contracting Covid-19, 2) There is an increase in people’s awareness about the Covid- 19 pandemic, namely: increased availability of masks and the use of masks among the people of Tegalsari, 3) The people of Tegalsari feel helped by the Food Security and Health Package provided by community service. ---  Perkembangan penyebaran Covid-19 harus diantisipasi dengan baik, termasuk kemungkinan ditemukannya kasus tersebut di desa-desa. Berdasarkan situasi yang terjadi, masyarakat Dusun Tegalsari mengatakan bahwa perlu adanya informasi mengenai pencegahan penyebaran wabah Covid-19 ini. Mereka merasa membutuhkan bantuan secara pengetahuan, pelatihan dan kebiasaan hidup bersih dan sehat. Tujuannya adalah memberikan wawasan dan pelatihan kebiasaan hidup sehat dalam beraktivitas. Dari hasil observasi dan wawancara awal yang dilakukan oleh pengabdi terbatasnya akses informasi menjadi kendala utama. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan penyebaran brosur sebagai media informasi dan pemberian pelatihan kebiasaan hidup sehat didukung dengan pengadaan alat-alat penunjangnya seperti masker, sabun cuci tangan, tempat cuci tangan sebagai percontohan agar masyarakat mampu mengembangkan secara mandiri. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini difokuskan pada 7 Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat (Germas) sesuai dengan anjuran Kemenkes RI yaitu (1) melakukan aktivitas fisik melalui senam sehat, (2) makan makanan yang sehat dengan gizi yang seimbang dan cara memasaknya, (3) cara menjaga kesehatan keluarga, (4) penggunaan masker dan pembuatan masker mandiri, (5) deteksi dini gejala Virus Corona (Covid-19) secara mandiri, (6) menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, (7) gerakan cuci tangan bersama warga desa Tegalsari, Karangmojo, Gunungkidul. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Pemahaman Masyarakat Dusun Tegalsari mengenai pandemi Covid-19 semakin baik, sehingga mereka menjaga diri dari resiko tertular Covid-19, 2) Peningkatan pemahaman Masyarakat Dusun Tegalsari terhadap pandemic Covid-19 yaitu: semakin tersedianya masker dan penggunaan masker semakin meningkat bagi masyarakat Dusun Tegalsari, 3) Masyarakat Dusun Tegalsari merasa terbantu dengan Paket Ketahanan Pangan dan Kesehatan yang diberikan oleh pengabdian.

Abstract

Sexual education is importantly needed in giving students adequate knowledge on how important it is to take care of their reproductive organs and to raise an understanding of moral values about sexuality problems. In the other hand, as a fact, teachers and parents often give abstract explanation when children ask about sexuality. Based on the data from Komnas Perlindungan Anak, the fact shows that in January to June 2013, there were 1.032 violence cases done to children. These cases were divided into two: 294 physical violence cases and 241 psychological violence cases. The aim of this social service program was to conduct a practice of sexual education counseling for students in SD Kanisius Sengkan. The sexual education counseling process was done through Ignatian Pedagogy Paradigm (reflective) learning process. The results from the sexual education counseling done to students in SD Kanisius Sengkan showed that 69% of male and female students understood the sexual education given and knew how to take care of their body, 100% of male students and 94% of female students were able to take care of their body after they were given the sexual education counseling, 69% of male students and 80% of female students got the benefit from the sexual education counseling conducted.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic places learning from school to home, thus making the process of planting character education previously carried out by teachers experiencing obstacles. Children experienced similar problems in Temben Hamlet, Ngentakrejo Village, Lendah District, Kulon Progo Regency, who had to learn from home during the pandemic. In getting a holistic personality, it is necessary to have a character that is inherent in a person's personality. This community service activity aims to assist children by reading storybooks as a medium for character education for children in Temben Hamlet, Ngentakrejo Village, Lendah District, Kulon Progo Regency. The method of this service activity is that the servant uses observations and interviews about the characters who need assistance to the child, then analyzes and makes recommendations for the character to be formed with the child. After assisting, the servant conducts observations of the final interview.  Then proceed with a joint reflection on the character of the child that has been formed. The conclusion of this service activity is 1) Children can grow the character to dare to try new things, 2) Children can grow the character of love for living things, 3) Children can develop a family character to feel like helping and working together in a family environment, 4) Children can develop the character of being responsible for maintaining personal and environmental hygiene for joint health, 5) Children can develop independent characters and know themselves to be seen. Based on the participation of children following every activity to learn to be independent and understand what happens to themselves.   Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 menempatkan pembelajaran dari sekolah ke rumah, sehingga membuat proses penanaman pendidikan karakter yang sebelumnya dilakukan oleh guru mengalami kendala. Permasalahan serupa pun dialami oleh anak-anak di Dusun Temben, Desa Ngentakrejo, Kecamatan Lendah, Kabupaten Kulon Progo yang harus belajar dari rumah selama masa pandemi. Pada proses mendapatkan kepribadian yang holistik, diperlukan karakter yang melekat pada pribadi seseorang. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mendampingi anak dengan membaca buku cerita sebagai media pendidikan karakter anak di Dusun Temben, Desa Ngentakrejo, Kecamatan Lendah, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pengabdi menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mengenai karakter yang perlu mendapatkan pendampingan pada anak, kemudian melakukan analisis dan membuat rekomendasi karakter yang akan dibentuk bersama anak. Setelah melakukan pendampingan, pengabdi melakukan kegiatan observasi wawancara akhir. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan refleksi bersama mengenai karakter anak yang telah terbentuk. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) Anak-anak dapat menumbuhkan karakter berani mencoba hal baru, 2) Anak-anak dapat menumbuhkan karakter cinta terhadap makhluk hidup, 3) Anak-anak dapat menumbuhkan karakter kekeluargaan sehingga muncul perasaan ingin membantu dan bekerja sama dalam lingkungan keluarga, 4) Anak-anak dapat menumbuhkan karakter bertanggung jawab untuk menjaga kebersihan diri dan lingkungan demi kesehatan bersama, 5) Anak-anak dapat menumbuhkan karakter mandiri dan mengenal diri sendiri terlihat dari partisipasi anak-anak mengikuti setiap kegiatan sehingga anak-anak dapat belajar menjadi mandiri dan memahami hal-hal yang terjadi pada diri mereka sendiri.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi ini menuntut orang tua, guru dan masyarakat untuk bekerjasama dan memperhatikan anak secara psikologis. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar anak dapat mengatasi masalah emosi dan perilaku dengan baik. Para guru yang berkomunikasi dengan anak setiap hari membutuhkan pendampingan untuk mengasah kemampuan tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan, nampak bahwa guru membutuhkan pendampingan mengenai: 1) Pendidikan Anak, 2) ICT dalam pembelajaran, 3) Kesehatan Mental Anak, dan 4) Kesehatan Medis Anak. Metode pendampingan yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan sebanyak enam sesi, yaitu 1) Pendampingan anak selama belajar daring, 2) Penggunaan ICT dalam pembelajaran daring, 3) Mengenal emosi anak, 4) Kesehatan mental anak selama pandemic, 5) Kesehatan fisik anak selama pandemic dan 6) Pencegahan dan diagnosis infeksi pada anak. Hasil dari pendampingan ini adalah sebanyak 100% guru mendapatkan pemahaman dalam mendampingi anak belajar daring; sebanyak 99,3% guru mendapatkan motivasi dan semangat kembali dalam mendampingi anak belajar daring; ebanyak 99,3% guru mampu membedakan kondisi mental yang sehat dan yang membutuhkan bantuan; sebanyak 100% guru merasa perlu memberikan perhatian kepada kesehatan mental anak selama pembelajaran jarak jauh; sebanyak 99,3% guru merasa mampu mengenali dan 98,6% guru merasa dapat mengatur emosi anak; sebanyak 99,9% guru mengetahui dampak pandemi pada fisik anak; sebanyak 99% guru mengetahui cara pencegahan infeksi covid-19 pada anak; sebanyak 99,7% guru mendapatkan ide dalam merancang pembelajarang daring menggunakan ICT dan sebanyak 100% guru bersemangat menggunakan ICT dalam pembelajaran daring.
