Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the comparative advantage and papaya competitive and to design its development model by using the approach of local base agriculture development. This research uses survey method. The resulting research shows that papaya is a base commodity that has comparative advantage and competitive. The development papaya in the district of Sukabumi is quite good bases on eight superior creations. But in order to be the main sector in economic development and has a competition, the development of papaya must concern to its influence factors. In supporting papaya development as a competitive local superior commodity, it needs to be done some efforts are as follows: (1) increase a skillful worker; (2) improve business management; (3) increase papaya productivity by using technology and study papaya planted technology in specific local superior commodity; (4) develop the involvement of the business relation; (5) provide market information and information technology network; and (6) improve infrastructures.

Abstract

Abstract

Agribisnis mangga gedong gincu tidak terlepas dari adanya resiko di berbagai sumber (agen resiko) seperti resiko produksi, resiko harga/pasar, resiko manusia, resiko finansial dan resiko institusi. Semua sumber resiko tersebut berpotensi mengakibatkan gangguan pada proses produksi di petani hingga keseluruhan proses agribisnis dan pada akhirnya mempengaruhi pendapatan petani mangga gedong gincu di Kecamatan Sedong. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan identifikasi kejadian resiko dan sumber (agen resiko) yang sering terjadi dan berpeluang muncul kembali dan merancang aksi mitigasi untuk meminimalisir resiko tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model House of Risk (HOR) yang terdiri dari 2 fase. Fase pertama yaitu pengidentifikasian resiko dan agen resiko, yang kemudian dilakukan pengukuran tingkat severity dan occurance serta perhitungan nilai Aggregate Risk Priority (ARP). Fase kedua yaitu penanganan resiko. Setelah dilakukan penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat 20 kejadian resiko dan 12 agen resiko. Terdapat 5 aksi mitigasi yang dapat dilakukan oleh petani dengan harapan mampu meminimalisir resiko pada agribisnis mangga gedong gincu di Kecamatan Sedong

Abstract

Agribusiness gedong gincu mango can not be separated from the risk in various sources such as production risk, price / market risk, human risk, financial risk and institutional risk. All these sources of risk have the potential to cause disruption to the production process to the entire agribusiness process and ultimately affect the income of the gedong gincu mango farmers in Sedong District. Therefore, it is necessary to identify risk and resource occurrences (risk agents) that are frequent and likely to reappear and designing mitigation actions to minimize those risks. This research using House of Risk model (HOR) which consist of 2 phases. The first phase is the identification of risk and risk agents, which then measured the level of severity and occurance as well as calculating the value of Aggregate Risk Priority (ARP). The second phase of risk management. After the research, there were 20 risk events and 12 risk agents. There are 5 mitigation actions that can be used, in the hope of mitigating the risks on agribusiness gedong gincu in Sedong District.

Abstract

Food is a basic human need that adequacy is a top priority. Stability in a country will be good when food for people assured. Therefore, food security becomes important things. Food security at the household level is the  important thing because food security begins with the smallest level. In this case, the household food security of farmers is also interesting to note because they are a food producer. Patokbeusi District, Subang Regency is one of the potential rice producers, but the dynamics of land tenure affect the food security of farm households. This study aims to determine the major rice production which influence the level of household food security of farmers and socio-economic factors that influence it. The research method used is a survey technique using primary and secondary data. The sampling method uses stratified  random sampling with 97 respondents consisting of rice farmers. The analysis technique uses logistic regression and descriptive techniques. The results from this study as follow: characteristics of farmers are farmers with medium land, with a level of high school education, aged over 40 years, and production average  6.6 tonnes ha/year. Rice farmers in Patokbeusi classified as food secure with indicators of accessibility, continuity, stability, and quality of food. While, the socio-economi factors that influence the rate of household food security is the level of education of farmers and the amount of expenditure to food.

Abstract

Indonesia has the potential for extensive dry land (LK). These FIs are generally in critical status and are located in disadvantaged villages, most of which are managed by poor farmers who are unable to carry out conservation efforts, so that their conditions deteriorate. The pattern of agricultural development in accordance with the characteristics of FIs is integrated farming. Integrated farming has three main functions, namely improving welfare and encouraging economic growth, food security and maintaining environmental sustainability. The well-being of the farm family is the output of the resource management process and overcoming the problems faced by the farmer family. The study aims to determine the welfare of farmers who are UTPPT actors. Research method: survey of 250 farmers in Tasikmalaya Regency in a proportional random sampling manner. Data were analyzed by analysis of income structure and expenditure structure / consumption of farmer RT food, as well as the exchange rate of rural household income (NTPRP). The results of the study: the income of farmer households comes from the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors as well as from the income of family members. Revenues from the agricultural sector are obtained from polyculture farming (forestry, plantation, horticulture and food) and livestock business. The contribution of livestock business income is greater (37.99%) than polyculture farming (35.52%) and non-agricultural (26.49%) and family member income (7.91%). Income from UTPPT is the biggest contributor to farmer household income. A total of 71.46% of farmer families share the income from the agricultural sector> 80%. As many as 63.67% of farmers depend entirely on the agricultural sector. The share of food expenditure for farmer households is still quite high, 42.19% of farmer households spend between 60-80% and> 80% on food. NTPRP has a value of> 1, farmers experience a surplus which includes the category of prosperity.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keunggulan cabe  merah dan tomat di Kabupaten Sukabumi agar dapat menetapkan arah pengembangannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey, dengan fokus penelitian mengaplikasikan metode description scoring dalam menentukan kriteria unggul cabe merah dan tomat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis description scoring tersebut kemudian diusulkan arah pengembangannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa cabe merah memiliki kriteria lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan tomat. Walaupun berdasarkan nilainya cabe merah lebih unggul, namun berdasarkan kategori keduanya termasuk pada komoditas sedang berdasarkan kriteria unggul. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak kelemahan pada kedua komoditas ini yang harus ditingkatkan sehingga keduanya dapat dikatakan benar-benar memiliki keunggulan yang tinggi.  Berdasarkan kelemahan pada kriteria unggul, pengembangan cabe merah dan tomat di Kabupaten Sukabumi hendaknya diarahkan kepada peningkatan pada kriteria-kriteria keunggulan yang masih kurang. Upaya peningkatan dapat dilakukan diantaranya dengan penguatan kelompok tani dan peningkatan peran pemerintah.Kata Kunci:, unggul, pengembangan, cabai merah, tomatAbstractThe objective of this study was to find out the superiority of chili and tomato in order to determine its development. Survey method was conducted by applying description scoring in determining superior criteria of chili and tomato.  Its development would be suggested based on the result of description scoring analysis. The result of this study indicated that based on the score chili has more superior criteria than tomato. However based on category both of them were included in medium commodity of superior criteria. Thus, it indicated both of the commodities have weaknesses that should be improved to gain high superiority. Based on the weaknesses on superior criteria, the development of chili and tomato in the District of Sukabumi should be directed to the improvement of superiority criteria which were still lacking.  The efforts of improvement could be conducted by reinforcing group of farmers and increasing role of government. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan : 1) Mengindentifikasikan karakteristik petani kedelai Program Pengembangan SL-PTT Kedelai di lahan sawah dan darat, 2) Mengindentifikasikan respons petani dalam melaksanakan usahatani kedelai Program Pengembangan SLPTT Kedelai di lahan sawah dan darat, dan 3) Menganalisis hubungan karakteristik dan respon petani dalam Program Pengembangan SL-PTT Kedelai di lahan sawah dan darat. Objek penelitian ini adalah karakteristik dan respon petani dalam melaksanakan program pengembangan SL-PTT Kedelai yang mengambil temapat penelitian di Kabupaten Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Dengan responden dalam penelitian ini 241 petani kedelai lahan sawah dari 4.256 petani, dan 137 petani kedelai lahan darat dari 2.414 petani dengan menggunakan stratifikasi random sampling. Untuk mengidentifikasi masalah ke-satu dan ke-dua dianalisis dengan menggunakan tabulasi silang dan diukur dengan analisis nilai I (interval) untuk mengetahui pengukuran indikator karakteristik dan perilaku petani kedelai, dibagi kedalam lima kategori dengan panjang kelas interval untuk setiap kategori. Untuk masalah ke-tiga berkaitan pengukuran dengan skala ordinal digunakan uji korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) Secara umum karakteristik petani peserta Program Pengembangan Kedelai Model di Kabupaten Ciamis baik lahan sawah maupun lahan darat masuk dalam kategori sedang. Karakterisrtik petani kategori lahan sempit untuk petani lahan sawah masuk kategori sedang, sedangkan petani lahan darat masuk kategorirendah. Karakteristik petani kategori lahan luas untuk petani lahan sawah masuk kategori  tinggi dan petani lahan darat masuk kategori sedang 2) Respons petani peserta Program Pengembangan Kedelai Model di Kabupaten Ciamis secara umum masuk kategori tinggi. Respon berdasar katebori lahan sempit untuk lahan sawah masuk kategori sedang dan petani lahan darat masuk kategori tinggi. Untuk kategori lahan luas respon petani lahan sawah masuk kategori tinggi dan petani lahan darat masuk kategori sangat tinggi 3) Terdapat hubungan karakteristi dan respon petani dalam program pengembangan SL-PTT kedelai di Kabupaten Ciamis. Dengan sifat hubungan semakin tinggi karakteristik petani maka semakin tinggi pula respon petani dalam pelaksanaan program pengembagan SL-PTT kedelai di Kabupaten CiamisKata Kunci : Karakteristik, Respon Petani, Kedelai, Lahan sawah dan Lahan Darat

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi jumlah produksi tanaman hias Dracaena dan menganalisis tingkat efisiensi alokatif penggunaan faktor produksi usahatani tanaman hias Dracaena di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Sukabumi sebagai sentra tanaman hias Dracaena terbesar di Provinsi Jawa Barat pada bulan Januari sampai Juni 2018. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey dengan pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 35 orang petani tanaman hias Dracaena di Kabupaten Sukabumi dengan tujuan pasar ekspor. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap jumlah produksi tanaman hias Dracaena menggunakan analisis fungsi produksi dan analisis efisiensi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi usahatani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah produksi tanaman hias Dracaena di Kabupaten Sukabumi adalah luas lahan, benih, dan tenaga kerja dimana kenaikan atau penurunan penggunaan ketiga faktor produksi tersebut akan mengakibatkan kenaikan atau penurunan jumlah produksi Dracaena. Pengalokasian faktor produksi luas lahan, benih, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja pada usahatani tanaman hias Dracaena di Kabupaten Sukabumi belum efisien sehingga penggunaannya perlu ditambahkan untuk mencapai efisien, sedangkan penggunaan faktor produksi pupuk pada usahatani tanaman hias Dracaena tidak efisien sehingga penggunaannya perlu dikurangi.Kata Kunci: efisiensi alokatif, faktor produksi usahatani, tanaman hias DracaenaAbstractThis study aims to identify the factors that can affect the amount of Dracaena ornamental plant production and analyze the level of allocative efficiency of the use of Dracaena ornamental plant farming production factors in Sukabumi Regency. This research was conducted in Sukabumi Regency as the largest Dracaena ornamental plant center in West Java Province in January to June 2018. The research was conducted by survey method by sampling using simple random sampling. The study was conducted on 35 Dracaena ornamental plant farmers in Sukabumi Regency with the aim of the export market. The data collected was analyzed using the analysis of factors that influence the amount of ornamental plant production Dracaena used an analysis of production functions and an analysis of the efficiency of the use of farm production factors. The results showed that the factors of production that had a significant effect on the amount of production of Dracaena ornamental plants in Sukabumi Regency were land area, seeds, and labor where the increase or decrease in the use of the three production factors would result in an increase or decrease in the amount of Dracaena production. Allocation of production factors for land area, seeds, pesticides, and labor in Dracaena ornamental plant farming in Sukabumi Regency has not been efficient so that their use needs to be added to achieve efficiency, while the use of fertilizer production factors in Dracaena ornamental plant farming is inefficient so their use needs to be reduced.Keywords: allocative efficiency, farming production factors, Dracaena ornamental plants
