Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kesalahan dan faktor penyebab mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada mata kuliah kalkulus peubah banyak. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, karena mendeskripsikan dan menggali informasi dengan kata-kata.  Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika semester lima STKIP PGRI Tulungagung. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan banyaknya kesalahan yang dilakukan dan kemampuan komunikasi lancar. Instrumen utama adalah peneliti sendiri dan instrumen pendukung adalah soal kalkulus peubah banyak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Untuk menguji keabsahan data digunakan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan meliputi jenis kesalahan konsep (aturan rantai dan penggunaan harga mutlak, turunan trigonometri ,turunan parsial, konsep integral dan eksponen), kesalahan operasi (perkalian antara koefisien dan variabel dari sebuah fungsi dan operasi bilangan bulat) dan jenis kesalahan prinsip (penulisan rumus aturan rantai).Abstract:The research aims to analyze the students’ errors and the factors causing the errors in answering the multivariable calculus tests. The research used qualitative descriptive research because it described and deeply explored the information narratively. The research subject was the 5th semester students of mathematics education department in STKIP PGRI Tulungagung. The subjects were selected based on the number of errors made by the students and their ability to communicate smoothly. The main research instrument was the researchers themselves and the secondary instrument was the multivariable calculus test. Data collection technique used test and interviews. To test the data validity, the researchers used triangulation technique. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The research findings indicated that the error types made by the students consisted of conceptual errors (chain rule and use of absolute price, trigonometric derivatives, and partial derivatives, integral and exponent), operational errors (multiplication of coefficients and variables of a function and integer operation) and principle errors (writing the formula of chain rule).

Abstract

Abstrak:Telepon pintar dapat digunakan untuk berbagai fungsi, salah satunya adalah multimedia pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, masih sangat jarang pengguna telepon pintar bersistem operasi Android khususnya siswa SMA yang menggunakan telepon pintarnya sebagai multimedia pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android dengan nama JiMath untuk siswa SMA dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa serta tingkat efektivitas dari multimedia pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan. Subjek uji coba sekaligus sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 6 SMAN 2 Cianjur yang berjumlah 32 orang siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android yang dikembangkan menurut ahli media memenuhi kategori Sangat Layak dengan persentase mencapai 81%, sedangkan menurut ahli materi memenuhi kategori Layak dengan persentase mencapai 65,83%. Kemudian untuk efektivitas multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menurut responden memenuhi kategori Layak dengan persentase mencapai 74,1%, sehingga multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android ini efektif digunakan sebagai multimedia penunjang belajar untuk siswa yang dapat digunakan kapan pun dan di mana pun.Abstract:The smart phone can be used for various functions, one of which is multimedia of education. However, it is still very rare for smart phone users with Android operating system especially high school students who use their smartphones as multimedia of education. This study aims to develop multimedia of mathematics education based on Android with the name JiMath for high school students and to determine the response of students and the level of effectiveness of the multimedia education mathematics developed. The subjects of the experiments as well as the targets in this study were the students of class X IPA 6 SMAN 2 Cianjur which amounted to 32 students. The method used is research and development with ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The result of the research shows that the multimedia of mathematics education based on android developed by the media expert meets the Very Eligible category with the percentage reaching 81%. Meanwhile, according to the material expert meets the Eligible category with a percentage of 65.83%. Then for the effectiveness of multimedia education developed according to respondents meet the Eligible category with the percentage reached 74.1%, so that the multimedia of mathematics education based on Android is effectively used as a supporting multimedia of education for students who can use anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun karakter mahasiswa melalui nilai-nilai matematika, capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah dan upayanya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket, studi literatur, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat nilai-nilai matematika yang dapat membentuk karakter. Nilai-nilai matematika yang ada pada setiap mata kuliah dapat membangun karakter mahasiswa yang meliputi sikap sungguh-sungguh, teliti, jujur, kerja keras, tekun dan yang lainnya. Pendidikan karakter dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa dan membutuhkan figur teladan dan bimbingan dalam membangun karakter mahasiswa.Abstract:The study aims to build the students’ characters through the values of mathematics, the achievement of learning subjects and efforts. The method used was qualitative method by collecting data through questionnaire, literature study, and interview. The study findings showed that there were mathematical values that were able to build the characters, the study program set the learning outcomes actualized in every subject. The values of every subject could build the students’ characters through the characteristics of the subject consisting of the attitude of earnest, thorough, honest, hard work, diligent and so forth. The character education is urgently needed by the students and requires an exemplary figure and guidance in building the characters of the lecturers.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa sekolah menengah pertama yang ditinjau dari gaya kognitif Field Dependent (FD), Field Intermediate (FDI), dan Field Independent (FI). Subjek penelitian ini adalah adalah siswa SMP Negri 3 Batu kelas VIII-G berjumlahkan 26 siswa yang dikelompokan berdasarkan gaya kognitif yang dimiliki oleh setiap siswa, setiap kelompok gaya kogitif diambil perwakilan 2 subjek dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling untuk diukur kemampuan koneksi matematisnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini kemampuan koneksi matematis yang dimiliki oleh setiap siswa berbeda-beda. Subjek dengan kelompok gaya kognitif Field Independent (FI) memiliki perbedaan kemampuan koneksi matematis, salah satu subjek dapat memenuhi semua indikator dan subjek lainnya hanya memenuhi beberapa kemampuan koneksi matematis. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa subjek yang termasuk dalam kelompok gaya kognitif yang sama belum tentu memiliki kemampuan koneksi yang sama. Subjek dengan kelompok gaya kognitif Field Intermediate (FDI) hanya memenuhi beberapa indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis. Subjek degan gaya kognitif Field Dependent (FD) belum dapat memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis. Hal ini menunjukan bahawa subjek yang memiliki gaya kognitif yang sama belum tentu memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis yang sama juga.Abstract:The objective of this study is to describe the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students in terms of the cognitive styles of Field Dependent (FD), Field Intermediate (FDI), and Field Independent (FI). The subjects of this study were the students of State Junior High School 3 Batu of class VIII-G consisting of 26 students who were grouped based on the cognitive style possessed by every student. The study used purposive sampling technique for selecting the sample by taking 2 representative students from every cognitive style group to measure their mathematical connection abilities. The findings show that the students’ mathematical connection abilities are different each other. The students from Field Independent (FI) cognitive style group have different mathematical connection abilities, one student can fulfill all indicators and the other one only fulfills some mathematical connection abilities. It can be inferred that the students who have the same cognitive style group do not necessarily have the same connection ability. The students with Field Intermediate (FDI) cognitive style group only fulfill several indicators of mathematical connection ability. The students with Field Dependent (FD) cognitive style cannot fulfill all indicators of mathematical connection ability. It indicates that the students who have the same cognitive style do not necessarily have the same mathematical connection abilities as well.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan buku keajaiban angka dalam Alqur’an yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahap analisis muka-belakang (front-end analysis), tahap prototipe (prototype) dan tahap penilaian (assessment). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Jenis data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer, yaitu data yang diperoleh langsung dari angket. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket uji validitas dan angket  uji praktikalitas. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa buku keajaiban angka dalam Alqur’an valid dan praktis untuk digunakan.Abstract:The research aims to produce a valid and practical book of miracle of numbers in the holy Qur'an. The research method used was a developmental research consisting of three stages, namely, front-end analysis, prototype, and assessment stage. Data collection was conducted through the observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The types of data taken in this research were the primary data; it was the data that were directly obtained from the questionnaire. Data collection instruments were in the forms of validity test questionnaire and practicality test questionnaire. The data obtained were then analyzed by using descriptive analysis techniques. The research findings showed that the book of the miracle of numbers in the holy Qur'an is valid and practical to use.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the effect of the use of learning media based on presentation media on learning interest and mathematics learning outcomes of students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Soppeng. The design of this study is nonequivalent control group design of a quasi-experimental. The statistical technique used is descriptive statistics and hypothesis is tested by using independent sample test and Mann Whitney sample test. Hypothesis test of learning interest uses Mann Whitney sample test, It shows that there is a difference in the average value of the increase of the mathematics learning scores which is significant between the control class and the experimental class. Testing the hypothesis of learning outcomes using the Independent sample test shows that there is a difference in the increase of students’ mathematics learning outcomes that is significant between the control class and the experimental class. Therefore, the use of learning media based on presentation media has an effect on learning outcomes and interest in learning mathematics in class X MIA SMAN 1 Soppeng.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis media presentasi terhadap minat belajar dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Soppeng. Desain penelitian yaitu quasi experimental bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Data minat belajar siswa dan hasil belajar didapatkan dari kuesioner dan tes. Teknik statistik yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif yaitu pembuatan tabel distribusi frekuensi, menentukan interval kelas, rata-rata, presentase nilai rat-rata, standar deviasi dan kategorisasi minat dan hasil belajar serta statistik inferensial yaitu uji normalitas, homogenistas, hipotesis (Independent sample t test dan Mann Whitney Sample U Test). Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Independent sample t test dan Mann Whitney Sample U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar matematika siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat sebesar 8,88%. Hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat sebesar 32,58%. Pengujian hipotesis minat belajar menggunakan uji Mann Whitney Sample U Test, menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai peningkatan skor minat belajar matematika siswa yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis media presentasi berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar matematika siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Soppeng. Pengujian hipotesis hasil belajar menggunakan uji Independent sample t test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis media presentasi berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Soppeng.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses dan kualitas pembelajaran mata kuliah program linear mahasiswa semester IV Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika melalui Lesson Study. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil observasi/pengamatan akivitas mahasiswa dan dosen. Kegiatan Lesson Study dilakukan sebanyak dua kali open class, masing-masing open class terdiri dari tiga tahap kegiatan yaitu: perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan, (do), dan refleksi (see). Pembelajaran dilakukan melalui penerapan model kooperatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah:  meningkatkan aktivitas mahasiswa dengan penerapan model kooperatif pada mata kuliah program linear, meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan masalah maksimasi dengan metode simpleks, interaksi antar mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif pada mata kuliah program linear dalam kegiatan lesson study dapat meperbaiki proses dan kualitas pembelajaran. Abstract:The research aims to improve the process and quality of learning linear program at the fourth semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program through Lesson Study activities. This research is descriptive research to describe the observation results of the students and lecturers activities. Lesson Study activities were conducted in two times open classes, each open class consisted of three activity phases, namely: planning (plan), implementation (do), and reflection (see). Learning was conducted through implementation of cooperative learning models. Based on the findings, it is recognized that the lesson study activities improve the students’ activities through the implementation of cooperative model in the linear program subject, improve students’ understanding in maximizing problems with the simple method, and improve the interaction among the students. Based on those findings, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model in the linear program subject through lesson study activities can improve the process and quality of learning.

Abstract

Abstract:The study aims to find out the profile of junior high school students’ problem solving in answering the content PISA test of uncertainty and data based on IDEAL (I-Identify problem, D-Define goal, E-Explore possible strategies, A-Anticipate outcomes and act, and L-Look back and learn) problem solving. Three students of the third grade state junior high school (SMPN) 1 Salatiga of academic year 2018/2019 were selected as the subjects of this study. The study used test, interview, and documentation as data collection techniques. Based on the results of the written test and interview, it is found that some students were able to implement all problem solving stages appropriately and sequentially. The subjects tended to ignore ’exploring strategies’ and ’look and learning’ stages.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil pemecahan masalah siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA konten uncertainty and data berdasarkan pemecahan masalah IDEAL (I-Identidy problem, D-Define goal, E-Explore possible strategies, A-Anticipate outcomes and act, dan L-Look back and learn). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil tes tertulis dan wawancara diperolehbahwa sebagian siswa mampu melaksanakan tahapan pemecahan masalah dengan runtut dan tepat, dan cenderung semua subjek kurang dalam tahap explore strategies dan look and learning.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk pengembangan dalam bentuk desain didaktis dan mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Data diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan nilai rata-rata sebesar 74,2% dan tingkat kelulusan 76,19%. Hasil tertinggi dari aspek pemecahan masalah adalah memahami masalah 90,48% dan nilai terendah adalah memeriksa kembali sebesar 56,55%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa hasil posttest menunjukkan indikator memahami masalah sudah baik artinya siswa mampu memahami masalah dengan menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. Namun, pada indikator memeriksa kembali diperoleh presentase terendah, karena siswa jarang memeriksa kembali jawaban yang telah ditulis.Abstract:The research aims to create a developmental product in the form of didactical design in order to know the students’ ability of mathematical problem solving. The data were obtained from interview, observation, and problem solving skill test. Based on the results of field try-out, it was obtained the mean score of 74% with achievement level of 76.19%. The highest problem solving aspect was understanding the problem with the score of 90.48% and the lowest score was rechecking skill with the score of 56.55%. Based on the findings, the posttest results show that the indicator of understanding the problem is good, it means that the students are able to understand the problem by writing what they know and what is being asked, but the indicator of rechecking gets lowest presentation score because the students rarely recheck their written answers.

The study used quasi-experimental research design. The population of this study was all the second grade students of SMPN 1 Pallangga that consisted of 11 classes with the total number of 343 students. The sample was determined by using purposive sampling technique. The data analyses techniques used were descriptive and inferential statistics by using F one-way Anova test and follow-up testing by using Scheffe test. Based on the statistics analysis, it was found that there were the students’ mathematical learning outcome differences through the implementation of Think Pair Share (TPS) type, and Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type at the second grade of SMPN 1 Pallangga. Based on the mean scores, the highest score of the students’ learning outcomes was the experimental class implemented learning model of TPS type.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS), Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), dan Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 1 Pallangga yang terdiri dari 11 kelas, yang berjumlahkan 343 siswa. Penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan uji F one-way Anava dan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan uji Scheffe. Berdasarkan analisis statistika menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matemaika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS), Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), dan Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada kelas VII SMPN 1 Pallangga. Berdasarkan nilai rerata, hasil belajar matematika siswa yang tertinggi adalah kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran tipe TPS.
