Abstract

In this paper we consider the single vendor-single buyer integrated inventory model. We relax the assumption of deterministic demand and assume that it is stochastic. We also consider the buyer’s lead time can be shortened at an extra crashing cost which depends on the lead time length to be reduced. We develop effective iterative procedures for finding the optimal policy.

Abstract

New innovation of electrics technology is not basically easy to permeated by society, includingsaving energy lamp. In fact, theese topics is interesting for the researchers. Reducing of electrics consumption in usage of lamp almost 50% from total cost usage of electrics energy. This research aim to choose the best tube lamp by considering of energy efficiency and reduce expense of electrics. Measuring input energy and output energy is conducted to two lamp type taken as this research namely transformer system lamp (NST) and electronic system lamp(NSE).Measuring of input energy and output energy is conduted by two factors experimental design with one block (Factorial Experiment Randomized Block Design). Theese factors are tube type and ballast type, while energy size as block. Result of research is analysed by using analysis of variant (Anova). Calculation of usage expense is conducted by considering four category according to electrics basic tariff (TDL). Based on analysis of variant, it is known that tube type and factor interaction do not have an effect significantly to input energy and output energy. While for the efficiency of energy, only tube type factor which do not show influence significantly.Percentage differenciation average of input energy, output energy, and energy efficiency NSE each 49%, 63%, and 49% bigger than NST. NSE more beneficial than NST as technically and economically. Most economical NSE is 20 watt.

Abstract

In the fast globalization era, people need good public transportation facilities to easily carry out their daily activities. However, public transportation such as angkutan kota mostly is not preferred compared to other modes of public transportation because it is difficult to acquire necessary information regarding angkutan kota routes in one area. This research aims to develop a mobile application to enhance the process of acquiring information of angkutan kota routes in Bandung. Eight potential users of the developed application were involved as participants in the research, from the identification of user needs through interviews and usability testing, the selection of design concept, to the evaluation of prototype. Based on the thirteen identified user needs, we developed two alternative design concepts from which we chose one best concept to be developed further into a prototype. The evaluation of the prototype through usability testing showed that the developed mobile application has good usability with 73% of efficiency measure, 90% of effectiveness measure, 78% of learnability measure and System Usability Score (SUS) of 71,25.

Abstract

PT XYZ is the cargo company that had operate along Surabaya-Solo-Jakarta rute. This company opeated the bussiness by a traditional carrier that only used truck as a transportation mode. The company decision to used this mode because of its had any strengthen like the easyness of locations access and the more delivery frequency. But in its operations also had any weakness like the problem of time, quality and cost. The frequent problem is about the losses because of the cost of delivery is more than its benefit. So that, its required to changed the transportation mode to solved this losses. The changed of transportation mode that can be applicated is the used of train. We used an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to make decision about the best alternative in this problem. From the equation we have a percentage of the used of train can solved this problem 53% more than the used truck.

Abstract

Higher demand requires company to optimize its production capacity. Optimization of production capacity can be done in many ways, such as making optimal scheduling of working hours, adding overtime, adding labor or adding machine. However, due to limited capital these demand often be ignored. If the problem continues, the company would have lost sales, which affect to the company's profits. For that, it needs to be optimized by considering the company's production capacity of existing human resources. In this research, the production capacity optimization is done by determining daily working hours, using linear programming methods. This model has the objective function to maximize profit. The model considers gross revenue, production costs, and lost sales simultaneously to obtain the optimum working hours per day. As the result, it is obtained that the model is a maximum function. Increasing production capacity means increasing profit. But, the production capacity only be increased up to it’s maximum level. Over the level, the profit becomes less and continuing to decrease. Numerical example is also given to show the model characteristic and its sensitivity analysis.
