Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. It was found that there is a difference in knowledge before and after the intervention through the WhatsApp media with a p-value of 0.000 (p-value <0.05). There is a difference in attitude before and after the intervention through Whatsapp media with a p-value of 0.000 (p-value <0.05). The conclusion of this study is the effectiveness of health education via WhatsApp in increasing the knowledge and attitudes of TB sufferers in the prevention of pulmonary TB transmission. Pneumonia cases in 2018 decreased, in 2013 the percentage of pneumonia was 1.6% while in 2018 increased to 2.0%, and Bunut Public Health Center obtained an ISPA proportion from the year 2018 – 2020 amount of 16%. The purpose of this research was to find out the behavior of ISPA prevention in the work area of Bunut Public Health Center Pelalawan Regency. This research employed a quantitative research cross-sectional analytic approach. This research was conducted from August – September 2021. The respondents in this research were 70 respondents in the work area of Bunut Public Health Center Pelalawan Regency. This research employed univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The research results that obtained p-value < 0.05 were such as immunization status variable (p=0.000) with POR = 32.763, occupation variable (p=0.024) with POR = 0.183, parents’ role variable (p = 0.032) with POR = 5.300 and not correlated variables namely attitude (p=0.917) with POR = 0.918, education (p=0.649) with POR = 1.403, smoking (p=0.299) with POR 0.649. Parents’ role is necessary for increasing awareness about the danger of ISPA and parents’ active role towards the infant and toddler health status and to give complete basic immunization to prevent ISPA even though the parents are busy working.

Abstract

Increased levels of uric acid as a natural antioxidant are characterised by complaints of pain accompanied by joint swelling with acute symptoms and repeated attacks. One of the plants that is useful for reducing joint pain and swelling is red lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus L. Randle). This study aims to analyze the effect of complementary therapy by soaking the feet with a mixture of red lemongrass as an analgesic and reducing uric acid levels in rheumatoid arthritis patients. This research method is pre-experimental with a one-group pre-test and post-test design without a control group on 23 elderly people. The results of the Wilcoxon non-parametric test showed that there was a change in pain scale and uric acid levels after the intervention (p = 0.00 and p = 0.02). It was concluded that warm water bath therapy with a mixture of red lemongrass was effective in reducing pain scale and reducing uric acid levels in rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Abstract

The mortality rate of mother infants in West Sumatra is very high, with a mother mortality rate of 12, an infant mortality rate of 15, and a neonatal mortality rate of 71 in 2020. This indicates that emergency obstetrics and neonatal care practices are not yet optimal. (PONED) is located at a PONED-compatible health center. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of PONED program services at health centers. The survey method used the descriptive qualitative method conducted from March to October 2021, with deep interviews, document reviews, observation-based data collection, and seven information providers. This requires good cooperation and support from local governments. In summary, the implementation of the PONED Health Center program is not optimal, and maternal, infant, and newborn deaths are still recorded. Therefore, there is an urgent need to assist local governments and stakeholders by providing resources in accordance with PONED implementation requirements at health centers

Abstract

Indonesia is the world's largest producer of tempeh and the largest soybean market in Asia. As much as 50% of Indonesia's soybean consumption is in the form of tempeh. The proteins found in tempeh are relatively easy to digest. Frozen food can be a solution in extending the shelf life and durability of a product and causing food to become durable and not easily decompose. The purpose of this study is to find out the receiving power of frozen food tempeh as an alternative to toddler supplements in an effort to prevent stunting. This study was an experimental study using RAL (Complete Randomized Design) with one control and 3 treatments, 30%, 50%, and 70%. Furthermore, hedonic tests are conducted on each frozen food and proximal tests on frozen foods are most preferred to find out carbohydrate levels, protein levels, fat content, water content, and ash levels. The results showed that the most preferred treatment in terms of color, aroma, taste, and texture of frozen food meatballs was with the addition of 50% tempeh (P2), while for the nugget and ball groups, the most preferred panelists were the addition of 70% tempeh (P3). Kruskall Wallis test results showed the addition of tempeh gives a noticeable influence on the level of fondness for the color, aroma, taste, and texture of tempeh meatballs, nuggets of tempeh, and tempeh balls.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which a child experiences growth disorders, resulting in a height that exceeds his age due to long-term dietary deficiencies. In 2021 Pekanbaru City was designated as a stunting focus location, totaling 15 urban villages with 303 stunting toddlers. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with stunting in children under five in Pekanbaru City in 2022. This type of research is quantitative analytic observational with a case-control design. The sample in the case group was stunted children under five, while the sample for the control group was children under five who were not stunted. The sample size for the case and control groups was 73 children under five, so the overall sample size was 146 children under five. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling at the integrated service center level. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate with a chi-square test. The results showed that exclusive breastfeeding (OR = 10,247), quality of complementary feeding (OR = 9,362), Infectious Diseases (OR = 4,1940, Mother's Knowledge (OR = 9,4410, and parenting patterns (OR = 10,065) associated with stunting. This study concludes that not exclusively breastfeeding, poor quality complementary feeding, presence of infectious diseases, low maternal knowledge, and suboptimal parenting have more risk for stunting in children under five. Public health center in order to provide information and education to the public regarding the risk factors for stunting.

Abstract

Family planning programs have a role in reducing the risk of maternal death through the prevention of pregnancy, delaying gestational age, and determining the spacing of their pregnancies. Men can share roles by participating in family planning and reproductive health issues. The coverage of the use of family planning methods/methods among married men includes MOM (0.2%), condoms (3.1%), and traditional methods such as interrupted intercourse (2.9%) and periodic abstinence (1.1%). This study aims to determine the determinant factors of male participation as family planning acceptors in Indonesia (2017 IDHS Data Analysis). This research was quantitative with an analytic design and cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was all married men aged 15-54 years old in Indonesia in 2017. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study used univariate, bivariate (chi-square), and multivariate (multiple logistic regression). The results of this study showed that there was no relationship between employment status (p = 0.197), there was no relationship between age (p = 0.0167), and there was a relationship between education (p = 0.001), economic status (p = 0.001), and area of residence (p=0.001; OR=3,7) with men's participation as family planning acceptors. The factor that is most related to the men's participation as family planning acceptors was the economic variable. Suggestions for the government to make regulations and socialization, in order that community no longer considered that being a family planning acceptor was the women's duty.
