Abstract

The application of an oral contract in buying and selling transactions in Palangka Raya City is a form of contract adopted from Banjar culture. Even traditional market players in Palangka Raya City, in particular, interpret the oral contract as something that is very principle, so that they consider a contract invalid if it is not stated verbally. This article explores the question of why the oral contract in buying and selling in Palangka Raya City is still being applied and how the oral contract law is in buying and selling transactions in Palangka Raya City. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. This study found that the application of oral contracts in buying and selling transactions in Palangka Raya City originated from the habits of Banjar tribe traders who trade in Palangka Raya City. This habit, then, develops into the habit of the local community, so it becomes a necessity to be implemented. The law of the oral contract in the transaction is valid in terms of Islamic law and civil law because it fulfills the requirements and is in harmony with the contract in buying and selling and is carried out voluntarily, is based on the principle of freedom of contract. There is a balance of achievement, and has legal certainty so that it binds both parties. The existence of this oral contract shows the legitimacy of legal norms, religious norms, and customary norms.

Abstract

The actual dynamic authenticity of social life often shows accusations that religion is a source of social friction, violence, or conflict. The spirit of the Koran shows an appreciative attitude, even inviting to the meeting point (common platform) of monotheism (tauhid) which is the basic teaching of the Torah, the Bible, and the Koran. This paper aims to explore the existence of non-Muslims from the perspective of the Koran, the variants, and principles of social harmony with them. This paper uses qualitative as a method and literature as an approach. From the perspective of the Koran, there are 3 variants of arranged interactions. First in trade relations, second in marital relations, and third in political relations. The three variants of interaction must be based on the principle of Ihsan (good behavior) and Adalah (fair). Implications of this research present the idea of a meeting point between religions. This meeting point is expected to eliminate the friction of exclusivity between religious communities to create harmony and peace.

Abstract

Learning objectives can be achieved in various ways, one of which is by implementing learning strategies. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Theoanthropocentric learning strategies for improving students’ conceptual understanding skills. The research population is all junior high school students (SMP), and the sample comprises students from class VIII. The random cluster sampling technique was used to choose the study’s sample. The data collection method used in this research is the conceptual understanding test. Descriptive and inferential statistics serve for data analysis, including the independent t-test. The results show a significant difference between the conceptual understanding of students who used Theoanthropocentric learning strategies and those who did not use Theoanthropocentric learning strategies. The descriptive statistical test results show that the students in the experimental group have a higher mean score than students in the control group. The independent t-test result has strengthened the statistical test results, namely, 0.00 (p 0.05), from the finding, it follows that the application of theoanthropocentric learning strategies has an enormous impact on improving students’ conceptual understanding skills. Therefore, the Theoanthropocentric approach could be used as a solution to improve students’ conceptual understanding skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the reasons for migrant Bugis pilgrims to carry out the mapatoppo ritual, the mapatoppo process and the impact of the mapatoppo on the lives of migrant Bugis pilgrims. This research is included in qualitative field research. The research setting is located in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province with a focus on Kuala Jambi Subdistrict, especially Tanjung Solok Village and Kampung Laut Village as the base for overseas Bugis people. The research subjects in this study were the village head and his staff as many as 2 people, 20 people for haji and hajjah of Bugis migrants and 2 people as topanrita (ulama / ustadz) of Bugis. The results of this study found three main conclusions: first, the pilgrims were interested in performing the mapatoppo ritual because they considered the mapatoppo ritual as a symbol for wearing the pilgrims attributes officially. In addition, they also consider the mapatoppo ritual as a means of dipalecceki barakka (the process of transferring barakka / blessings from anre gurutta or sheikhs). Second, the mapotoppo process for the male congregation begins with the way they sit in a half circle in front of their sheikh. Then they are summoned before the sheikh one by one. Then they were asked to intend and then paired with a white rimless fezlike cap and surubeng by the sheikh. They do this in turn until it's finished. Meanwhile, the mapotoppo process for women congregation begins with the way they sit in a half circle in front of the sheikh's wife. Then they were asked to intend and they were taught to use talulung. After finishing using the talulung, then put trispak on top of the talulung. Then they are dressed in kabbe (skipping clothes). Third, the impact felt by pilgrims who have carried out the mapatoppo ritual is that they always wear Hajj clothing on official occasions and in everyday life. In addition, they also enforced againts not to work for 40 days. They just rested at home while worshiping and waiting for the arrival of their family and neighbors
