Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Penggunaan Gadget dengan Perkembangan Sosial Emosional Anak Usia 5-6 tahun di Era 4.0 di TK Kuncup Harapan Ponorogo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana yang sebelumnya melakukan uji prasyarat normalitas,uji linearitas, uji Heteroskedastisitas . Teknik dari pengambilan sampel dengan cara non-probability sampling. Responden dalam penelitian adalah 20 anak TK Kuncup Harapan Ponorogo berdasarkan hasil pengamatan guru terhadap peserta didik dan 20 orang tua dengan persepsi orang tua terhadap anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket  dengan instrument berupa skala gadget dan skala perkembangan sosial emosional. Data diperoleh secara langsung oleh peneliti yaitu pengisian angket dengan dibantu applikasi google form. Teknik analisis yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui hipotesis penelitian. Analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan bantuan perangkat software yaitu SPSS 16 for Windows 8. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.013   0.05 yang dapat dinyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulannya adalah ada Hubungan Penggunaan Gadget terhadap Perkembangan Sosial Emosional Anak Usia 5-6 tahun di Era 4.0 yang bertempat di TK Kuncup Harapan Ponorogo.

Abstract

The concept of English for Business purposes has endured substantial shifts over the last few years which caused by numbers of development, such as behaviour change of the customers, improvements in technology, and the coming together of Businesss Communication and English for Business Purposes. Due to this current situation, companies need to improve not only the quality of their product but also the quality of the human resources This research is intended to investigate the extent of Business Conversation mastery by ICCRI employees in 2019 and examine further the factors that may be related to it, such as (1) the teaching process carried out by teachers, and (2) the employees' perceptions of the importance of Business. Speaking test and a questionnaire is used to answer problems of the research.

Abstract

Penelitian.ini.bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kreasi cap jari untuk menstimulasi motorik halus anak usia dini di Play Group’Aisyiyah Sang Surya.Babadan Ponorogo. Subjek.penelitian ini adalah siswa di Play Group Aisyiyah Sang Surya yang berjumlah 8 siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kreasi cap jari dalam menstimulasi motorik halus anak usia dini di Play Group Aisyiyah Sang Surya Kanten Babadan Ponorogo sudah terlaksana dan sesuai tema yang ada di RPPH. Implementasi kreasi cap jari untuk menstimulasi kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini dikemas dengan bermain sambil belajar, karena dengan.bermain anak akan senang serta tidak.merasa terbebani untuk belajar.dan dengan bermain.anak akan lebih mudah.menerima materi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how cartoon film based-discussion can improve students’ speaking. This Classroom Action Research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. The subjects of the study were 22 female and 10 male students. The data were collected through English speaking test. From the test result, cartoon film based-discussion was very effective; there was a significant increase in student’s speaking skill (M=76.09 in Cycle 1 to M=77.28 in Cycle 2) and students’ active participation (76.56% - 79.68%). This leads to conclusion that cartoon film based-discussion can improve students’ speaking and active participation by three main factors; First, they can discuss about particular topics in the discussion before taking the Speaking test. Second, cartoon film succeeds to stimulate students’ mind in collecting vocabularies during watching. Third, students’ grammar and pronunciation are also increased because they are accustomed to the structure of English subtitle provided in the movie.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the difficulties faced by teachers in managing a large class and the teacher strategies in managing a large class. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with the subject one of the English teachers of SMA N 1 Badegan and students of Class XI MIPA 1- XI MIPA 4 as participants. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and questionnaire. The results showed that in teaching and learning English in a large class, there were found three main challenges that must be faced by the teacher, namely the difficulty in giving attention to each individual in the class, heterogeneous student abilities and the difference of student background knowledge. The strategies used by the teacher to solve the problems in managing large classes include division of heterogeneous groups, small-group strategies, peer tutoring, visual imagery, and translation strategies. The application of classroom management skills includes asking skills, explaining skills, variation skills, and teaching a group and individual skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine what factors have the most dominant influence on the low motivation to learn mathematics subjects related to algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and trigonometry in students of the Mathematics education program STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa Sintang. This study uses a quantitative approach with data analysis using exploratory factor analysis and descriptive analysis with 64 research subjects as students of the Mathematics Education Study Program of STKIP Persada Khatulistiwa. The results showed that the most dominant factor affecting the low learning outcomes of mathematics education study program students was the learning facilities factor with a variance percentage of 20.914%. Keywords: The most dominant factor, learning motivation

Abstract

A shift is happening in languages used in Indonesia, especially in English as a foreign language that must be taught as a compulsory subject in Indonesian formal education institutions from primary to tertiary levels. English takes a place in the third position after Bahasa Indonesia and the regional languages. Since English as an International Language (EIL) paradigm appears, some debates burst up whether it is native speaker or non-native speaker teacher who should teach English in outer-expanding countries. This paper provides a discussion about the issue of native and non-native speaker of English related to the selection of English teachers in Indonesian context. The issue is analysed by using a list of teaching behaviours between native English speaker teachers (NESTs) and non-native of English speaker teachers (NNESTs) examined by Medgyes (1994). A few recommendations about the issue of selecting English teacher in outer-expanding countries are presented in the end of the paper.

Abstract

Writing is an important language skill because it becomes a means of learning, discovering, developing, and perfecting language skills. The researcher using Problem-Based Learning method to enhance students’ writing ability. This research aims to develop the students’ intelligence by learning to solve problems and shapes students’ interaction with the new environment that confronts students to real world problems to begin learning so that the students become critical thinkers. The researcher used a classroom action research design. The subject was the English department students at Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo in the academic year 2019/2020. The class consists of 16 students. Before implementing, the researcher made a lesson plan, the steps of Problem-Based Learning method, and prepared instruments, questionnaires, observations, field notes, and test will be conducted in the last meeting. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. Based on the result of the observation it showed that the students were more active than the previous meeting, the percentage was 52% in cycle one and 84% in cycle two. The result of the questionnaire score was 84% in cycle one and 96% in cycle two it means the students were more enjoyed, gave a positive response and looked more fun with the implementation of this method. The result of the writing test in cycle one is that 13 students or 81% who got score ≥ B- (2.5), in cycle two was 100% or all students got score ≥ B- (2.5). The result of writing test in cycle two, it showed improvement. The research finding proves that Problem-Based Learning method was successfully improve writing ability. Hopefully, this research can be a reference for the lecturer of writing course to teach and learn writing and for the next researcher for conducting the next research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mendeskripsikan kesulitan memecahkan masalah soal cerita, (2) mendeskripsikan minat belajar, dan (3) mendeskripsikan perbandingan siswa minat belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan 6 subjek kelas V. Cara pemilihan subjek yaitu pertama diberikan angket kepada 15 siswa kemudian digolongkan sesuai dengan kategori minat belajar masing-masing. Setelah itu dipilih 2 siswa dari masing-masing minat belajar yang memenuhi kriteria dengan memiliki komunikasi yang baik. Dari keenam siswa tersebut kemudian diberikan soal tes berupa soal cerita materi bangun datar. Setelah diberikan soal, kemudian hasil jawaban siswa dianalisis dan dilakukan wawancara untuk menggali informasi lebih dalam terkait hasil jawaban siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi dapat memahami soal, mengoperasikan pecahan, dan merefleksikan proses.Namun masih sulit untuk menerapkan berbagai strategi. Untuk subjek dengan minat belajar sedang siswa sulit memahami soal, sulit mengoperasikan pecahan. Namun dapat mefleksikan proses memecahkan masalah meskipun sulit menerapkan berbagai strategi. Untuk subjek dengan minat belajar rendah siswa sulit memahami soal, sulit mengoperasikan pecahan, siswa juga sulit menerapkan berbagai  strategi  serta merefleksikan proses dalam memecahkan masalah.
