Abstract

 AbstractThis study aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills on SPLTV material through a Problem Based Learning model based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The research instrument used a test method in the form of critical thinking description questions to analyze the achievement of critical thinking skills and a questionnaire to determine student responses to the implementation of STEM-based PBL on SPLTV material. Research results students have been able to solve problems with a complete score of 73% and reach indicators of critical thinking skills, namely: the ability to generalize, the ability to identify, the ability to formulate problems into mathematical models, the ability to deduce using principles and the ability to provide further explanations. There were 8 students or 27% in the incomplete category and did not reach the indicators of critical thinking skills in working on the questions. Meanwhile, based on the student response questionnaire, it shows that the student response questionnaire with an average percentage of 80.68%, so it can be concluded that students gave a positive response to the implementation of STEM-based PBL learning on SVLTP material with a reliability of 0.82. Student responses at the time of the interview showed that learning with the STEM-based PBL model is a new model and has never been applied by teachers in learning Keywords:  Critical Thinking Analysis, STEM-Based  PBL, SVLTP AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi SPLTV melalui model Problem Based Learning berbasis Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah  kualitatif deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan metode tes berupa soal uraian berpikir kritis untuk menganalisis ketercapaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dan angket untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap implementasi PBL berbasis STEM pada materi SPLTV. Hasil Penelitian siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan nilai tuntas 73% dan mencapai indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu : kemampuan menggeneralisasi, kemampuan mengidentifikasi, kemampuan merumuskan masalah ke model matematika, kemampuan mendeduksi dengan menggunakan prinsip dan kemampuan memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut. Terdapat 8 orang siswa atau 27% dalam kategori tidak tuntas dan tidak mencapai indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam mengerjakan soal. Sementara berdasarkan angket respon siswa menunjukkan  bahwa angket respon siswa dengan persentase rata-rata 80,68%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap implementasi pembelajaran model PBL berbasis STEM pada materi SVLTP dengan reliabititas sebesar 0,82. Tanggapan siswa pada saat wawancara menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model PBL berbasis STEM merupakan model yang baru dan belum pernah diterapkan guru pada pembelajaran Kata Kunci : Analisis Berpikir Kritis, PBL Berbasis STEM, SVLTP

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis aspek kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP Quran Kisaran pada materi segiempat. Sample yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah 32 orang siswa dari populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Quran Kisaran di ambil secara acak. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deksriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal tes kemampuan literasi matematika berupa 3 butir soal essay serta wawancara. Hasil tes yang telah dilaksanakan pada beberapa soal literasi matematika menunjukan hasil yang baik. Terlihat dari presentase per indikator disetiap butir soal. Indikator  pertama yaitu merumuskan masalah nyata dalam pemecahan masalah memperoleh hasil untuk butir soal 1, 2 dan 3 masing-masing sebanyak 90,62% (29 siswa), 84,37% (27 siswa), dan 81,25% (26 siswa). Indikator kedua yaitu menggunakan matematika dalam pemecahan masalah memperoleh hasil untuk butir soal 1, 2 dan 3 masing-masing sebanyak 93,87% (30 siswa), 90,62% (29 siswa), dan 87,5% (28 siswa). Indikator ketiga yaitu menafsirkan solusi dalam pemecahan masalah memperoleh hasil untuk butir soal 1, 2 dan 3 masing-masing sebanyak 84,37% (27 siswa), 81,25% (26 siswa), dan 87,5% (28 siswa). Kata Kunci : Proses Jawaban Siswa, Kemampuan Literasi Matematika, Model Discovery Learning

Abstract

AbstrakThis study aims to determine the ability of students mathematical representation on arithmetic sequences and series. This type of research is a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 15 students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Air Batu T.A 2020/2021. The test instrument used in this study was in the form of 5 test questions referring to indicators of representational ability including: (1)visual representation ability, (2)mathematical expression representation ability, (3)written representation ability. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that about 73% of students were able to work on visual representation  ability questions and about 27% were less able to work on visual representation problems. While mathematical expression skills, about 53% of students were able to work on mathematical expression representation skills and about 47% were less able to work on mathematical expression representation problems. And for written text abilities, about 33% of students were able to work on written text representation abilities, and about 67% more who have not been able to work on written text representation problems.  Keywords: Sequences and Series, Mathematical Representation Ability. AbtrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi barisan dan deret aritmatika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah 15 siswa kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Air Batu T.A 2020/2021. Instrumen tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa 5 tes soal yang mengacu pada indikator kemampuan representasi diantaranya: (1)kemampuan representasi visual, (2)kemampuan representasi ekspresi matematis, (3)kemampuan representasi tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sekitar 73% siswa mampu mengerjakan soal kemampuan representasi visual dan sekitar 27% lagi yang kurang mampu mengerjakan soal representasi visual. Sedangkan kemampuan ekspresi matematis, sekitar 53% siswa mampu mengerjakan soal kemampuan representasi ekspresi matematis dan sekitar 47% lagi yang kurang mampu mengerjakan soal representasi ekspresi matematis. Dan untuk kemampuan teks tertulis, sekitar 33% siswa mampu mengerjakan soal kemampuan representasi teks tertulis dan sekitar 67% lagi yang belum mampu mengerjakan soal representasi teks tertulis.

Abstract

The education system of Indonesian during the pandemic is using an online learning system, where in this learning system many problems occur. Among them, do not have a handphone, do not have internet quota and network, and others. This causes many declines. One of them is the reduction of learning motivation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, where the researcher has purpose to describe or explain students' motivation to learn mathematics by using learning video media. The source of data is the seventh grade students of Pangeran Antasari Junior High School. The Data is obtained through filling out a questionnaire to determine the category of students' motivation to learn mathematics with 20 statement items. Measurement of statements by using a Likert scale. The result shows that from 27 students as research samples, 8 students are in the very high category, 16 students are in the high category, and 3 students are in the middle category. In addition, the average of all indicators shows that students' motivation to learn mathematics is included in a good category with an average value of 3,04.Keywords: Learning Motivation, Learning Video Media, Mathematics

Abstract

AbstractThis study ass to describe the effectrvencss of students in solving logic problems ia terms of the mathematical communication skills of students in class X1 of SMA Swadaya in Academic Year  2020 / 2021 . the subjek of the study  are 14 student  of class X1 of private High School in Academic Year 2020/2021.The instrument in this research are 3 essay questions which refers to indicators of  mathematical communication skills. Determination of the sample is done using the total , Sampling technique, Based on the results of data processing, 12 students (85,7%) are belonged to “Hight" category because they are able to complate the three indicators of mathematical communication skills hingt, and 5 students (14,2%) are in medium Category, because they are sbic to complete the three indicators of mathematical communication ability well but are wrong in writing symbols. Keywords: Mathematical Logic, Mathematical Communication Skills, WhatsApp Media. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikann keefektifan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal logika  ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa di kelas XI SMA Swasta SwadayaTahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas X1 SMA Swasta Swadaya Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Instrumen soal yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa 3 butir soal berbentuk essay yang mengacu pada indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Total Sampling.Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, diperoleh sebanyak 12 siswa (85,7%) termasuk dalam kategori “Tinggi”  karena mampu menyelesaikan ketiga indikator kemampuan komunikasi mmatematis tersebut dengan sangat baik, dan 5 siswa (14,2%) termasuk dalam kategori “Sedang” karena mampu menyelesaikan ketiga indikator kemampuan komunikasi mmatematis tersebut dengan  baik namun salah dalam menulis simbol.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain information on how much students make mistakes according to Polya's theory and to find out the causes of students making these mistakes. This type of research is qualitative research that is analyzed using a descriptive approach in problem research. The subjects of this research were class VIIIB SMPN 2 Sintang with 37 people, and the data analysis used descriptive qualitative. The results obtained are 89.3% of students' errors in understanding the problem, 41.5% of students' misconceptions in formulating problems, 32.2% of students making mistakes in carrying out plans and errors when checking back answered 36.4% of students. Factors causing these errors: (1) students are less interested in learning mathematics, (2) lack of talent in mathematics, (3) difficulty working on problems and (4) teachers' teaching methods are less varied in providing explanations about mathematics lessons, mainly based on local culture

Abstract

Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan strategi pembelajaran dari offine menjadi online, dimana pada sistem pembelajaran ini terdapat beberapa masalah atau kendala yang terjadi. Diantaranya, tidak memiliki Smartphone, tidak mempunyai kuota, jaringan internet yang kurang stabil dan lainnya. Dalam penelitian ini pelaksanaan pembelajaran online dilaksanakan menggunakan aplikasi whatsapp. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dimana penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar matematika siswa masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan menggunakan WhatsApp di SMP Swasta Pangeran Antasari. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Swasta Pangeran Antasari tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Sampel yang diambil kelas VII-1 yang berjumlah 38 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui pengisian lembar kuesioner untuk mengetahui kategori penggunaan whatsapp dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa dengan jumlah item sebanyak 40 pernyataan. Angket yang digunakan sudah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya menggunakan Pearson product moment dan alpha cronbach’s. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa 1) Penggunaan whatsapp dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VII di SMP Swasta Pangeran Antasari ada pada kategori cukup baik, dengan persentase sebesar 49,9%. 2) Penggunaan whatsapp terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa masa pandemi Covid-19 di SMP Swasta Pangeran Antasari melalui analisis angket diperoleh skor rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 3,33% kategori baik.Kata Kunci: Penggunaan WhatsApp, Motivasi BelajarDuring the Covid-19 Pandemi, it caused a change in learning strategies from offine to online, where in this learning system there were several problem or obstacles that occurred. In this study, the implementation of online learning was carried out using the Whatsapp application. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method, where this study aims to determine the students’ motivation to learn mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemi by using WhatsApp in private junior high school Prince Antasari. The population in this study were all seventh grade studendts at SMP Swasta Pangeran Antasari for the academic year 2021/2022. The sample was taken by class VII-1, totaling 38 students using purposive sampling teachnique. Data was obtained through filling out a questionnaire sheet to determine the categories of whatsapp use and students’ motivation to learn mathematics with a total of 40 items. The questionnaire used has been tested for validity and reliability using Pearson’s product moment and cronbach’s alpha. Based on result of the study, it shows that 1) The use of whatsapp in learning mathematics for class VII at Prince Antasari Private Junior High School is in fairly good category, with a percantage of 49,9%. 2) The use of whatsapp on students motivation to learn mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemi at Prince Antasari Private Junior High School through questionnaire analysis obtained an average score of 3,33% of student’s learning motivation in the good category.Kata Kunci: WhatsApp usage, learning motivation

Abstract

Online learning carried out during this pandemic has a great opportunity to influence students' attitudes and anxiety in learning mathematics, which in turn affects mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of attitudes on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) determine the effect of mathematics anxiety on mathematics learning outcomes, and (3) determine simultaneously the effect of attitudes and mathematics anxiety on mathematics learning. results. The research was conducted at SMPN 2 Ambal, Kebumen, Central Java, in the 2020/2021 school year, when learning from home was carried out due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The population of this study was all seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Ambal. Sampling used cluster random sampling so that a sample of 70 was obtained. The instruments used were mid-semester assessment tests, attitude scales, and math anxiety scales. This scale has been validated empirically. The F test and t-test were carried out by starting with the classical assumption test, namely normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. This study concludes: (1) there is a positive effect of attitudes on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) there is a negative influence of mathematics anxiety on mathematics learning outcomes, and (3) there is a simultaneous influence of attitudes and mathematics anxiety on mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran secara daring menjadi pilihan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan pada masa pandemi. Selama pandemic ini, siswa mengalami banyak kesulitan terutama belajar matematika secara online. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan yaitu untuk menjelaskan proses berfikir siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbasis PjBL. Data dikumpulkan melalui pemberian tes, wawancara tidak terstruktur serta dokumentasi kepada 3 siswa dengan tingkat kognitif tinggi dilihat dari hasil belajar dan juga rekomendasi guru. Keabsahan data diuji dengan menggunakan trianggulasi, data dianalisis melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Proses berfikir siswa  , ,dan  dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika PjBL dengan langkah start with the essensial question, design a pland for the project, create a schedule, monitor the students and the progress, assess the outcome and evaluate the experience.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of motivation by looking at the effect of emotional intelligence, lecturers' teaching style and learning media facilities on statistical understanding. The sample in this study was 239 respondents who were students majoring in Accounting at Prima Indonesia University. The data is processed using path analysis. Emotional intelligence, teaching style of lecturers and learning media facilities strongly support motivation to be better. In learning the teaching style of the lecturer is very supportive in growing student motivation, if the lecturer as the main actor in learning has good pedagogical abilities and uses effective learning media in teaching, it will be able to grow student learning motivation and will produce a high level of understanding in the subject. . Students who have good emotional intelligence will have good behavior and motivation in learning. Therefore, the influence of motivation can be seen from emotional intelligence, lecturer's teaching style and learning media facilities in understanding statistics.
