Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni is an international journal dedicated for the publication of scientific articles in language education, literature, and arts education. It was firstly published on March 2000 with ISSN 1411-3732 in 2007 by Faculty of Language Literature and Arts Universitas Negeri Padang. This journal had ever been changed into Jurnal Bahasa dan Seni during 2004-2013. In 2014 this journal is renamed as Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni applies open journal system (OJS) and peer-reviewed online journal in 2017 with Online ISSN 2548-9097.

This novel is one form of communication between nations conducted by the author with her readers. The storytelling technique used by NH Dini is narrative that invites the reader to indirectly see and be involved in describing the story. As an author, NH Dini is so straightforward in telling the story which is played by the main character who does not forget the background of Javanese culture and love the second homeland France. From Fontenay to Magalliances is an expression of the author about how should a woman who grew up in a cultural environment of Java can still coexist with the people around her without losing her identity as a foreigner in the second homeland. Communication that occurs between the characters is a form of communication between nations that is no longer so accentuate each other's culture and remaining respectful. In this case, the main character can still be a wife to her French husband without having to change her appearance and lifestyle, although the internal communication between them is no longer in harmony, but as Javanese woman, Dini still keeps their relationship in front of their relatives. The aim of this research is to reveal the uniqueness of the cultural style of Minangkabaunese as one of the Minangkabau language diversities. The peculiarities are described in terms of its lexicons and sentence structures. This study was a descriptive qualitative research type. Object of research was the cultural style of Minangkabaunese, while the research data were the customary speech variety. In terms of lexicon, there are a lot of the typical vocabulary items that are rarely or not used in the general variety of Minangkabaunese. The cultural style of Minangkabaunese uses metaphors that are rarely used in the general variety. In terms of sentence structures, this style uses many compound and complex sentences with many subordinate clauses in one sentence. To make the class activities effective, creative and fun innovation in teaching and learning process is required. One innovation that can be done is the use of numbered heads in a group discussion model. This method allows students to be actively and creatively involved in the activities, so the teaching process can be more interesting for students. The Complete Anthology of short stories written by AA Navis is the most complete collection of all short stories that have been written by Navis for fifty years of work. Based on a description and interpretation of data, theoretically, this study aims to (1) reveal the author's ideas and re-attempt the update against the ideologies of traditional Minangkabau society in ALCN which includes a description of Minangkabau culture, AA Navis with the process of creativity, as well as tradition and renewal, (2) develop and accumulate the research on the sociology of literature. Practically, this study aims to (1) provide advice and offers to the reader to constantly adapt and socialize to the demands and needs of the time by relying on rationality and morality, (2) provide an understanding of the short stories contained in ALCN. The research used the descriptive method of description of the facts followed by analysis of activities that include (1) forms the natural understanding of Minangkabau culture, AA Navis and authorship, (2) disclosure of Navis’ thoughts through theory and methods of sociological literature proposed by Swingewood Alan and Diana Laurenson, and (3) tradition and renewal efforts against traditional notions of ALCN. The results showed that the various ideas of Navis in ALCN are reflections of society psychological level and lead to a contradictive dialectical. Various complexity of community problems root on two things: (1) human nature is no longer guided by the nature, (2) the policy was decided without considering the principle of K4 (appropriateness and usefulness of togetherness and equality). Some thought the updates offered in ALCN are (1) awareness of human self to always adapt to the demands of the times, (2) implementation of worship should be interpreted rationally by humanitarian considerations, (3) renewal is a change in attitude towards a more humane and civilized; (4) acceptance of outside elements should be based on the principle of benefit and suitability, (5) philosophy stems renewal in humans and humanity, of nature as the basis for the interpretation and reasoning and rational thought. This study is aimed at analyzing the implementation of the cooperative principles in Avatar cartoon movie. It was a descriptive study with the content analysis technique. The data were taken from the conversation from the characters in the Avatar movie. The utterances were grouped into four types of cooperative principles; they are the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relation and the maxim of manner. It was found that the utterances among the characters in Avatar cartoon movies both fulfill and violate the cooperative principles. Key words: utterances, conversation, cooperative principles

This research is emphasized on phrase structure and sentence structure of Tsumori and You To Omou. This research is structural analysis which is conducted to analyze phrase and sentence used Tsoumori and You To Omou that are found in the novel Harry Potta To Kenja No Ishi . This novel is written in Japanese language. It is written by Matsuako Yuuko. The problem that will be analyzed in this research is dealing with phrase structure and sentence structure of Tsumori and You To Omou. The aim of this research is to describe the phrase structure and sentence structure of Tsumori and You To Omou sentence. The method that is used in this analysis is descriptive method by explaining or describing the features of accurate data clearly and in detail. Keyword: Structure, phrase, “tsumori”, “you to omou”

The purpose of education is to develop all the basic potentials possessed by the learners. To develop the potentials of learners, the professionalism of educators should be improved. Therefore, improvement of professional skills of educators should be directed to the standard of competency. Learning the art of the ideal culture should be in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. The definition of the relation of meaning is the semantic relationships that exist between one language and another language. The units of this language can be words, phrases, or sentences, and semantic relationships that can express the similarity of meaning, the conflict of meaning, inclusion of meaning, duality of meaning, or also the excess of meaning.
