Abstract

This research was conducted as the teacher had not yet used group dynamics in teaching the characteristics of shapes topics. This had made the learning process became teacher-centered and the students’ learning achievement got low. The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement of the students’ learning achievement on the characteristics of shapes topics by using jigsaw cooperative learning model. This reseach was conducted at SDN 03 Pelangai Gadang. The subject of the research was the teacher and the fifth grade students. The result of the research indicated that there was an improvement on the plan, the implementation of the plan and the students’ learning achievement. This result had indicated that the use of jigsaw cooperative learning model could improve the students’ learning achievement on the characteristics of shapes topic in the fifth grade of SDN 03 Pelangai Gadang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low student learning outcome at Curriculum and Technology of Education in Education of Sciences Faculty, State University of Padang. The purpose of this research was to reveal the relationship of learning motivation and learning attitudes with learning outcome of student TM 2013 semester 2 in KTP FIP UNP majors. This research used quantitative methods to the type of correlational research. The sample in this research were 77 students TM 2013 semester 2 in KTP FIP UNP majors, used Slovin formula with proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument was structured in the form of a questionnaire with Likert scale models, after being tested looking for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression and multiple regression. The results showed that (1) There was a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and learning outcome of students TM 2013 semester 2 majoring in Curriculum and Educational of Technology at 0.492, (2) There was a significant positive relationship between the attitude of learning with learning outcome of students TM 2013 semesters 2 in Curriculum and Educational Technology majors by 0,646, (3) There was a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and learning attitude toward learning outcome for student TM 2013 semester 2 in Curriculum and Educational Technology majors at 0.702. Based on the findings of this study concluded that the two independent variables, namely learning motivation and learning attitude played a very important in improving learning outcome, in addition to other variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the students learn of result in Natural Science through discovery approach of the IV grade students of Elementary School in Air Tawar, Padang. This research is a Classroom Action which consist of two meetings in two cycles. This research utilizes four steps of actions, are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of the study shows that the students learn of result in Natural Science experiencing of improvement and the improvement of students’ achievement can be observed from the affective, psychomotor, and cognitive.

Abstract

This article aims to discover, interpret, and identify the educational values embodied in the song of Minangkabau creation by NN. The identification process is done by a multidisciplinary hermeneutic analysis. Interpretation is generated by associating the aspects of language, music/songs, psychological, socio-cultural, and educational, so it can be identified seven (7) educational values. The educational values is a means to educate learners to perform the actions and behaviors that reflect proper Minang people. Education and learning as a means of cultural inheritance are obliged to explore, socialize, actualize, and cultivate the educational values on an ongoing basis in order to create learners who are well-mannered, civilized and noble character

Abstract

This research based on the lack of effectiveness of the administrator function of the Principal Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) 10 Padang. This research is designed to reveal teachers perception on the implementation administrator function of principal, which will be seen from: 1) teachers perception about implementation administrator function of principal of SMAN 10 Padang related to curriculum administration, 2) teachers perception about implementation administrator functionof principal of SMAN 10 Padang related to personnel administration, 3) teacher perception about implementation administrator function of principal of SMAN 10 Padang related to school facilities and infrastructure administration, and 4) teacher perception about implementation of administrator function of the principal of SMAN 10 Padang related to financial administration. This descriptive research with the population of all teachers who have the Civil Servants status at SMAN 10 Padang with the number to 61 people. Sample of this research amounted to 36 people, taken using the formula Cohran. Sampling technique is based on stratified proportional random sampling. The tool used for data collection is a questionnaire that has been tested for its validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using percentage and average formulas. The results of this research indicated that the general perception of teachers on the implementation of administrator function of the principal is in category good with an average score of 3.87. Furthermore, teachers perceptions regarding to the implementation of curriculum administration, personnel administration, facilities and infrastructure administration and financial administration are (4.19, 3.63, 3.86 and 3.81), respectively, where the whole is in good category

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman kesantunan berbahasa siswa dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran Budaya Alam Minangkabau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan dengan desain nonequivalent-group pretest-posttest design yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari metode role playing. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 11 Padang kelas VIII sebanyak 64 orang yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok. Hasil analisis data menghasilkan temuan bahwa metode pembelajaran role playing efektif meningkatkan kesantunan berbahasa. Hal ini terlihathasil penelitian diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 73,406 dan kelas kontrol 62,781. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji Independent Samples Test (t-test) diperoleh t-hitung 5,728 pada taraf kepercayaan α 0,05 sedangkan t-tabel 2,000, sehingga t-hitung > t-tabel. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan penerapan metode pembelajaran role playing dapat meningkatkan kesantunan berbahasa siswa pada mata pelajaran Budaya Alam Minangkabau di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 11 Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA menggunakan metode eksperimen di kelas VI SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas VI SD N 14 Gurun Laweh Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung Padang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengamatan RPP dari 69,65% dengan kualifikasi cukup pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 94,64% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik pada siklus III. Pelaksanaan dari aspek guru dari 71,25% dengan kualifikasi cukup pada siklus I menjadi 90,25% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik pada siklus III. Pelaksanaan dari aspek siswa dari 67,06% pada siklus I menjadi 89,77% pada siklus III. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 66,63 pada siklus I menjadi 77,87 pada siklus III

Abstract

Hasil studi dokumentasi Prodi D III Kebidanan STIKes Ranah Minang Padang tahun 2012/2013 ditemukan bahwa masih rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Asuhan Kebidanan kehamilan, dan hasil diskusi dengan dosen mata kuliah Asuhan Kebidanan kehamilan selama proses pembelajaran menunjukkan kurangnya keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Model pembelajaran yang dapat mengaktifkan peserta didik adalah pembelajaran kooperatif, salah satunya model pembelajaran cooperative script. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative script dalam rangka meningkatkan aktifitas belajar mahasiswa tingkat I pada mata kuliah Asuhan Kebidanan kehamilan Prodi D-III Kebidanan STIKes Ranah Minang Padang tahun 2014. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilakukan peneliti langsung. Populasinya adalah mahasiswa tingkat I Prodi D III Kebidanan STIKes Ranah Minang Padang pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 34 orang, dan teknik pengambilan sampel total populasi. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor observasi siklus I (51,8%) dengan kategori sedang, meningkat pada siklus II (75,3%) dengan kategori tinggi. Hal ini juga didukung dengan hasil rata-rata skor angket keaktifan belajar mahasiswa siklus I (35,4 persentase 59,1%) dengan kategori sedang meningkat pada siklus II (46,4 persentase 77,4%) dengan kategori tinggi.
