Abstract

This study used qualitative descriptive reseach method with a literature review approach or literature review The puspose of language development for young children is able to communicate with others. Communication can be done with reading activity. Through a literature review. This research can be a reference for parents and teacher in providing reading activities to early childhood during their development and development. The result of the literature review show that reading activities can be stimulated by paying attention to the tempo in the development of early childhood language.

Abstract

The applicability of theories at times are occasioned by societal norms as it is a known fact that theorist are influenced by their immediate society. Hence, situation where most classes are overcrowded, one would begin to wonder if theory like Blooms mastery learning could be applicable Hence, this study investigated the applicability of mastery learning in public senior school as perceived by teachers. The study used descriptive survey research type. Two hundred and thirty teachers were sampled from public senior secondary schools in Kosofe local government area of Lagos. Teachers’ perception on the applicability of Mastery Learning (TPABML) was designed by the researcher to measure teachers perception, the instrument was validated with reliability index of 0.84. Data collected was analysed using mean score, percentages and independent t-test of significance. Findings showed that mastery leaning is not practicable in public senior secondary as perceived by teachers. The study also finds significant difference between teachers with post-graduate qualification and teachers with first degree, but no significant difference was found based on teachers experience. The study recommends that teachers should change their orientation and make efforts to apply mastery learning as it has recorded positive results when used. Abstract

The teacher is a key element in the education system, especially in schools because of the teacher's role in transforming knowledge in education. Therefore, schools can improve teacher performance in order to achieve predetermined educational goals. This article will analyze the influence of psychological capital and person organization fit on teacher performance by mediating organizational commitment. This research uses quantitative analysis. The population in this study were 108 teachers of Junior High School in Bantarbolang District. Analysis of data techniques used regression analysis. The results of the research on model 1 show that psychological capital and person organization fit have a positive effect on organizational. In model 2, psychological capital and organizational commitment have a positive effect on teacher performance while organizational people do not. The results of the mediation test show that organizational influence does not mediate the effect of psychological capital on teacher performance, but organizational commitment mediates.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) learning responsibilities and; (2) positive, negative and accompaniment impacts that occur after learning statistics using the heutagogy approach. This study uses an impact evaluation method with a goal free evaluation model. The population of this study was 104 students who took the Statistics course in the Odd Semester 2020. The sample was selected using a systematic technique as many as 82 students. The research data were collected from grades and assignments documents, interviews and learning responsibility questionnaires. The quality of the instrument was controlled using item validity and reliability with a halving technique. The validity of the qualitative data was controlled by means of document triangulation and interviews. The results showed: (1) the highest learning responsibility was in the learning effort, followed by discipline, independence, motivation and honesty; (2) the positive impact is felt by students in the upper group because they are more successful in learning anytime and anywhere, the negative impact is felt by the lower group because it opens up opportunities to look for examples of friends' answers. The impact of the accompaniment is that there is cooperation in the face of difficulties

Abstract

The 21st century has a major impact on the world of work, where students are required to have 21st century skills. Students must be able to plan a career, be able to adapt and be able to master today's technology (21st century career adaptability) (Y). Factors that influence are self actualization (X1) and communication skills (X2). This study aims to determine: (1) Description of X1, X2, Y, (2) Relationship of X1 to Y; (3) Relationship of X2 with Y, (4) Relationship of X1 and X2 with Y. This research is an Ex Post Facto using quantitative research methods. This study uses a saturated type purposive sampling technique as many as 97 respondents. Variables X1, X2 and Y have the level of reliability in sequence are 0.903, 0.831, and 0.885. The Effective Contribution Value at X1 and X2 is 46,92% and 27.98%. The Relative Contribution Value at X1 and X2 is 63% and 37%. The conclusions of this study are (1) Positive and significant relationship between X1 and Y, X2 and Y; (2) positive and significant relationship between X1 and X2 simultaneously with Y. Abstract

This research aims to develop electronic supervision which consists of elecctronic supervision hardware, step by step electronic supervision, working procedure electronic supervision, feed back and follow up electronic supervision, and to describe teacher performance after developing electronic supervision. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach. The design is action research. The informan are the teachers and school principal of SD Negeri 02 Percontohan Bukittinggi West Sumatera. The method of data collection: interviews, observations, and documentation. The technique to determine data validation: credibility, transferability, dependabilitu, and confirmability. The data analize: data redection, data display and data conclusion. The result proved that before development: electronic supervision hardware only can be used in principal room with one computer, supervisor don’t understand about step by step electronic supervision, supervisor have no working procedure of electronic supervision, feed back and follow up the electronic supervision haven’t done rapidly. Teacher performance is no so good in class room management, learning and teaching activity, and communicating with the student. After development: electronic supervision hardware developed rapidly, supervisor can supervisi the teacher in all over the school with some computer, laptop, and handphone also. Supervisor understood electronic supervision procedure, feed back and follow up of electronic supervision done by making agreement with the teacher. And teacher performance is good enough especially in class room management, learning and teaching activity and communicating with the student.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how the implementation of classroom management in thematic learning on the basis of google classroom. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a online method. This research was conducted in odd semester of fifth grade students at Al-Ulum Elementary School Medan. Sources of data in this study were teachers, thematic learning materials and lesson plans. Data collection techniques were by using observation, documentation and interviews. While the results of this study was thematic learning using the use of the google classroom application has proven to be very effective for teachers and students of fifth grade elementary school in a virtual system. Thematic learning by using the google classroom application was don by dividing into subjects.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires learners to be able to think of high levels or HOTS that suit the needs of competence in the 21st century. Based on the results of the study stated if, the ranking of learners in Indonesia is still relatively low because learners are still weak in solving problems that require reasoning and analysis. So it can be concluded that the purpose of this research is to develop HOTS-based SPLSV problems in SMP / MTs that are valid, practical, and effective. This research is a research development (research and development). The test subjects in this study were class VII students at MTS I Attanwir, with a population of 40 students, and to focus the data, selected 3 students who represented from high, medium, and low abilities. The analysis used in this study is a test of validity by expert material, validity of the problem, differentiating power, difficulty level, rehabilitation test, and t-test testing. The results of the study suggest that a set of SPLSV problem instruments can be used to train high-level thinking skills in learners.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the cognitive aspects that must be introduced to children at an early age to achieve a standard of cognitive development called the Child Development Achievement Level Standard (STPPA) as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 137 of 2014. One of the basic learning Mathematics is a child recognizes the concept of numbers and understands numbers. So that children's understanding is in accordance with the concept, children must learn mathematics from concrete objects and by playing. the introduction of values ​​and numbers in children aged 2-8 years children need concrete objects, because at this age, children recognize concepts using symbols. This study aims to find a strategy for learning mathematics to recognize values ​​and numbers through play and concrete objects in early childhood. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with literature study method. As for the results of the research, the strategies that can be used in introducing children to numbers through play and concrete objects are: (1) Singing; (2) Flannel Board Media; (3) Calendar Games; (4) Number Card; (5) Counting Things in Daily Life; (6) Dice; (7) Write Numbers (8) Number Fishing Media; (9) Snakes and Ladders Game; (10); Congklak Game; (11) Finger Method.

Abstract

Education plays a role in character building. This study aims to determine, analyze, and describe the implementation of the Islamic Studies program, character values, and the implications of the Islamic Studies program on student character building. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. Data collection used: observation, interviews, documentation studies, and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: 1) in limited face-to-face learning, the implementation of the Islamic Studies program went well, 2) the character values ​​in the Islamic Studies program included: religious, hard work, responsibility, fond of reading, disciplined, independent, love peaceful, appreciative of achievement, and communicative, 3) the implementation of the Islamic Studies program has significant implications for the character building of students with 84% of students responding correctly and 16% of students answering incorrectly. The Islamic Studies program is recommended for other schools as an effort to build character.
