Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in early childhood independence based on the mother's employment status in MDA Kampung Durian, Medan Perjuangan District. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using descriptive qualitative data analysis, namely data collected in the form of words, pictures and not numbers. The data used in this research is primary data. Namely data obtained directly from the field. In this study, primary data was obtained by observation and interviews. The results of this study are that children whose mothers work have a high level of independence compared to children whose mothers do not work and the status of mothers who work or not can also be a factor of a child's independence.

Abstract

Global challenges and competition require quality human resources to compete in society with 21st-century skills. Critical thinking skills are competencies to be able to solve problems needed to answer a challenge in the present as well as challenges in the future. The application of learning models is very influential in triggering critical thinking, one of which is the discovery learning model. The discovery learning model assisted by the Moodle platform helps students get the distribution of the material being taught. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' critical thinking skills by applying the Moodle-assisted discovery learning model in the biology learning activities of the immune system. This research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method. The results of the N-Gain test get the N-Gain value of the experimental class more significant than the control class. Students' critical thinking skills are significant before and after using the Moodle-assisted discovery learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the extent of the effects of principals’ transformational leadership in terms of teachers’ perception, work motivation, and discipline on the career development of elementary school teachers in Godean District, Sleman Regency. This research is a type of non-experimental quantitative approach, The subjects were teachers in the Unit Yandik Godean districts, teachers involved in the study were 173 persons. The descriptive results of the study show that principals’ transformational leadership is in the high category with a mean of 3.44, teachers’ work motivation is 3.46, teachers’ discipline is 3.36, and teachers’ career development is 2.94. The results of the regression analysis show that principals’ transformational leadership has a significant effect of 18,1% (p<0.05) on elementary school teachers’ career development, teachers’ work motivation has a significant effect of 7,9% (p<0.05) on elementary school teachers’ career development, and teachers’ discipline has a significant effect of 8,4% (p<0.05) on elementary school teachers’ career development. The results of the analysis show that principals’ transformational leadership, teachers’ work motivation, and teachers’ discipline as an aggregate have a significant positive effect of 24,8%, indicated by the statistical test showing F = 19,955 (p < 0.05), on the career development of elementary school teachers in Godean District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Territory.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how learning media with media made from loose parts are an effort to build independent early childhood learning. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research. Research data collection techniques are by observation and interviews. The research was conducted at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Kindergarten Wonosegoro with a total of 16 research subjects consisting of 11 female students and 5 male students. The research steps started from lesson planning to learning evaluation and follow-up. The results showed that learning with loose part media can provide freedom to play and learn so that it can build independent early childhood learning. This can be seen from increasing children's creativity, encouraging children to be active in their learning, increasing children's independence, training children's ability to work together, and building self-confidence in children. The teacher's strategy is to use loose teachers to arrange a comfortable play environment for children. Part of learning is that children are free to determine the play activities and materials they want.

Abstract

The literacy movement is a movement in an effort to improve abilities and insights in reading, writing, and so on so that learning can be created in everyday life. This study aims to describe the school literacy movement implemented by the school and identify the obstacles it faces. In this study using descriptive qualitative research type. This research technique was carried out by collecting data from various sources, namely teachers and students. This data collection was carried out using field observation techniques, documentation, and interviews followed by note taking techniques. The data analyzed consisted of data collection then described and a conclusion was drawn. From these conclusions it can be explained that MIM PK Kertonatan Kartasura is working hard to increase students' interest in reading, one of which is by implementing the 15-minute reading literacy movement. With this reading literacy movement, students will feel closer to literacy and books. In addition to the 15-minute reading literacy movement, MIM PK Kertonatan Kartasura also has a literacy movement such as reading the Koran, reading Iqro' and muroja'ah hadiths and short letters. Abstract

Every human being who lives by nature has basic rights within himself which are called Human Rights, including in the field of education. In this case, the requirement that the children's convention be enforced in Indonesia is to protect children and safeguard their rights to education, including in North Jakarta City. With the realization of a children's convention in North Jakarta City, it will be a good incentive for millennial generation children in this 4.0 industrial revolution era. This study aims to find a solutive solution to improve the fulfillment of human rights in an educational perspective for high school students in North Jakarta. The findings from the research are one form of solutive solution to increase human rights in the educational environment of North Jakarta City in the form of the right to attend education for every community which has broad implications in fulfilling rights. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of character education in the social studies education of SDNI05 BaringinIand to explore the facilitators and hindrances in the process of character building of students. This research is qualitative research. The results are as follows: (1) Character education is carried out through curricular activities and extracurricular activities. (2) Implement character education and social studies instruction in learning spaces from teacher preparation to classroom conditioning including arriving at school on time to shake hands and I recite the Quran. including opening and closing classes. (3) Most sociology teachers adopt the classroom teaching method in character education teaching which does not maximize students' iresponseItoIthe implementation of character education. I(4) Factors conducive to the implementation of character education in which the principles taught in every classroom Capcentrian values ​​of school culture and the support and foundation of principals and teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of coaching learning techniques to implement the Pancasila student profile strengthening project in Indonesian subjects at SMPN 1 Muara Bungo. The theme of a sustainable lifestyle with the topic of sustainable tourism was chosen because Muara Bungo Regency has tourism objects and potential for environmental-based tourism. This research is development research using the Borg & Gall development model and adapted to the coaching technique and the Guide to the Development of Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Projects published by the Education Standards, Curriculum and Assessment Agency, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The results of the study found that the coaching technique was suitable to be applied in extracurricular activities of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project in Indonesian subjects for persuasive speech material. Because it met the principles of implementing P5, those are; holistic, contextual, learner-centered, and exploratory.

Abstract

This study is aimed to analyze the educational philosophy of Islamic boarding schools at the Pondok Pesantren Sabiilunnaja, Cipeundeuy, West Bandung Regency. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive method. Interviews and observations are research data collection techniques. The results of the study show that Pondok Pesantren Sabiilunnaja is based on educational philosophies in terms of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. Ontologically, the educational goals of Pondok Pesantren Sabiilunnaja are aligned with the essence of pesantren education in a comprehensive manner, including increasing cognitive, psychomotor and affective competencies. As for epistemology, education is carried out by using the traditional methods such as balagan, sorogan, muhafazoh, and muhadloroh methods which are centered on kyai and santri and tend to be bayani and irfani processes. Then axiologically, Pondok Pesantren Sabiilunnaja education has ethical and aesthetic values. The typology of educational philosophy at the Pondok Pesantren Sabiilunnaja is based on neo-modernist philosophy which has the principle of al-muhafzatu ala al-qodiimi ash-shalih wa al-akhdu bi al-jadid al-ashlah which means preserving the good things that already exist, and developing new things that are better.

Abstract

Socioemotional competencies are based on self-knowledge, self-regulation, social awareness, relational skills and responsible decision-making, presenting a close relationship with the efficient management of behaviours in the classroom. In collaboration with 3 schools in the interior of Portugal, an exploratory socio-educational intervention project was developed over a period of 3 months, with the purpose of promoting the socioemotional competencies of 41 primary school children, as a basis for building classroom behaviour management strategies that would facilitate the teachers’ educational action. The intervention involved a process based on collaborative work between teachers, psychologists and educologists, having been able to produce 8 activities that promote socioemotional competencies. Ethnographic procedures, namely, the use of participant observation, field notes and informal interviews, were used to produce scientifically valid and socially useful knowledge. The results show that each activity works on more than one socioemotional skill. The data allowed to outline 6 efficient strategies to manage classroom behaviour. This exploratory project, besides contributing to enriching the educational project of these schools, proved to be a production of knowledge capable of contributing to filling the gap in terms of guidelines for socioemotional education in Portugal based on field evidence.
