Gagasan jurnal LINIMASA hadir atas fenomena perkembangan ilmu komunikasi yang begitu pesat dan dinamis mengikuti perkembangan jaman. Dilihat dari definisinya, LINIMASA menggambarkan garis waktu atau suatu peristiwa penting dalam subjek tertentu yang ditampilkan dalam urutan kronologis. Jurnal LINIMASA mengakomodir berbagai hasil pemikiran/penelitian komunikasi mulai dari masyarakat bermedia konvensional hingga masyarakat bermedia kontemporer seperti saat ini.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has created quite a crucial problem for small business actors. These problems are in the form of hampered distribution of materials including, difficulty in finding raw materials, difficulty in the capital, hampered production, and declining sales. One of the Small Business actors affected by the sale is the Rajut Galleraj business. Galleraj focuses on the existence of product sales to be able to compete amid dynamic conditions in the new average era. To be able to maintain the market with a different strategy. However, along with the intense competition for buying and selling online, the researcher wants to analyze how the Integrated Marketing Communication strategy at MSME Galleraj. The specific objectives of this study are to 1. Map and describe the Integrated Marketing Communication Strategy at Galleraj in New Normal Competition 2. Abstract

Corporate social Responsility is a company program as a manifestation of the company's commitment to compliance with regulations and a form of concern for environmental conservation. Carrying out a sustainable CSR program will have a positive impact and greater benefits for both the company itself and related stakeholders. This research focuses on the form of CSR carried out by Faber Castell Indonesia which does not only carry out social responsibility programs, but is already a sustainable development program. The CSR program carried out by Faber Castell is a community empowerment program by making the community economically independent. This study uses qualitative research methods with a constructivist paradigm. The results of this study indicate that there are 3 areas of the community empowerment program carried out by Faber Castell in its CSR program, namely the environmental, educational and socio-economic fields. Of the three areas, the programs implemented all refer to sustainable community empowerment and are not programs that are only carried out once or for one period. It is hoped that the program will be able to become a means for the community to be economically independent.

Abstract

The election of Erick Thohir as General Chair of PSSI elicited various responses, both support and rejection from the public. This rejection was triggered because he was still the Minister of BUMN and was considered to have violated the rules on multiple positions. This study aims to determine the framing made by Republika Online and Kompas.com in reporting on Erick Thohir after the PSSI Congress on 16 February 2023, which inaugurated Erick Thohir as Chairman of PSSI for the 2023-2027 period. The research data comes from news reported by Republika Online and Kompas.com media for the period 16 February to 18 February 2023. The analysis uses the framing analysis method from Robert Entman which has 4 categorization elements, namely: Define problems, diagnose causes, and make moral judgments and treatment recommendations. The results of this study indicate that Republika Online has two news frames including Optimistic remarks from political figures for the election of Erick Thohir and the synergy between Erick and the National Police in forming the Anti Mafia Bola. Kompas.com has three news frames including Erick Thohir's promise after being elected, the issue of multiple positions that violate the rules, and the expectations of the coach figure.

Abstract

This study focused to investigate how the Gen Z in Surabaya receives the representation of Gen Z characteristics that are visualized in the Gojek advertisement "SOLUSI MASALAH OVERTHINKING PILIH MAKANAN, ADA DI VIDEO INI!". The advertisement attempts to portray Gen Z's characteristics, such as overthinking, commitment issues in relationships, job-hopping, and the tendency to believe in or use horoscope predictions. Previous literature suggests that Gen Z tends to exhibit these characteristics, which motivated the researcher to investigate how the Surabaya Gen Z population responds to this advertisement's portrayal of their traits. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with Stuart Hall encoding-decoding theory to analyze the reception. The informants consist of 11 Gen Z individuals with various backgrounds from Surabaya city. The research data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The study results indicate that the informants have different responses due to their varying backgrounds. Four informants, 1, 3, 8, and 10, included in the dominant-hegemonic position, while the other seven, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11, are in the negotiation position. Abstract

The implementation of online lectures due to the Covid-19 pandemic has created various problems for students, such as using lecture assignment jockey services among students to help complete assignments because there are many assignments with short deadlines. The rapid development of information and communication technology has made it easier for jockeys to offer their services, especially through social media applications. This research was conducted to determine the motives, actions, and meaning of the students who became task jockeys. The study was conducted using a phenomenological approach with a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that in the concept of motive, first, the reason behind jockeying online lecture assignments among students is the motive of helping, gaining a material benefit, and filling in spare time activities. Second, the motive is to obtain non-material benefits to improve and develop skills, abilities, and knowledge. The act of assignment jockey is carried out by waiting for other people based on friend recommendations, asking friends who have been assisted in recommending their services to others, and promoting their services openly through social media. Meanwhile, in a meaning, students who become jockeys for online lecture assignments are activities to help others in doing their coursework which was originally motivated by the aim of providing assistance, which then received material rewards, as well as a way for them to improve their abilities and skills, especially in the academic field.

Abstract

The Satera Jontal script can be said to be one of the literary cultures of the Sumbawa people which is still maintained today. one of the causes of the lack of knowledge of Sumbawa people about Satera Jontal is due to the degradation of the Sumbawa language, especially in villages. Many still use Indonesian when speaking so there must be a return to the language first and then Satera Jontal can exist like before. This topic is interesting to study because the existence of the Satera Jontal script is currently also experiencing serious problems because it can be said to be endangered so it is necessary to analyze how the communication network is formed in Sumbawa society in an effort to maintain their local script, namely Satera Jontal. Researchers used a qualitative approach and the type chosen was descriptive qualitative with the basis of communication network analysis research. This research uses snowball sampling technique to determine research subjects and then analyzed using Communication Network Analysis to see what kind of communication network is formed between research subjects in preserving Satera Jontal. Most of the Sumbawa community knows about the local script Satera Jontal, but only a few can read and write it. The survey results indicate that information about Satera Jontal is more often obtained from traditional leaders or community figures who have broader knowledge and experience of Satera Jontal. In addition, the community communication network related to Satera Jontal forms a large clique and a personal network model that has an interlocking personal network, which has centralized information exchanged and only spread to a few people within the network. Data analysis indicates that within the formed communication network, each subject plays a different role. Some serve as Hubs (central information sources), Components (part of the network), Bridges (connecting different groups), while others form Cliques (interconnected relationships). The proximity factor, both in terms of family relations and friendships, also influences communication among them.

Abstract

DOTA 2 is one of the E-sports that is officially competed and attracts millions of eyes worldwide. The development of technology can make sports not only in physical form but also in digital form. The purpose of this study is to explain the communication credibility that exists in Ceb regarding the development of the OG eSports team both in game and out game. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach to the OG eSports Team which won the Stockhold Major 2022 competition. The data analysis technique that the author does by analyzing the semiotics of the documentary film Ceb: The Greatest Comeback of Dota 2. The results of this study found that Ceb has two important factors that must be possessed by a communicator. Ceb has source attractiveness and source credibility factors, these two factors make Ceb very capable of influencing the team to increase motivation and morale. These things cannot be considered easy even though it is only the world of electronic sports, because the pressure in E-sport itself is as high as a conventional sports match usually.

Abstract

Currently, circulating health information aims to create awareness in the community about adopting healthy living behaviors. Social media which is included in the new media section is widely used by the public to obtain information. Social media has the advantage of being a digital communication tool capable of spreading health messages and information to the public, such as Instagram which is chosen and used by Indonesian people. Instagram users have the opportunity and freedom to produce, distribute and consume the content. Instagram account @fyindonesians as an active media user utilizes Instagram to share information and educate the public regarding sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs). Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) are still consumed by Indonesian people. The Indonesian Ministry of Health stated that excessive consumption of that product could increase the risk of cancer, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and even death. The intention of this research is to find out the effect of social media Instagram @fyindonesians on the information needs on sugar levels in ready-to-drink coffee. The theory used is the uses and gratifications theory. The research population was 2019 students of Communication, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, with a total of 81 students. The sample used in this study was 63 samples. The results show t count > t table (9,619 > 2,388) which means Ha is accepted. The results also show a significance value of 0.013, by this significance represents that this research has a significant effect.   Currently, circulating health information aims to create awareness in the community about adopting healthy living.

Abstract

Dissemination of information through campaign activities can be created with organized communication and of course it cannot be separated from conveying messages so that the contents of campaign messages can reach the public, of course they must be disseminated or published to the wider community. Submission and dissemination of information can take advantage of social media. The #Lihatdunialagi campaign created by Traveloka is an information dissemination that aims to influence the wider community to raise awareness and knowledge about cultural diversity in Indonesia, including cultural diversity in Papua. This research was made to find out how cultural diversity and the effectiveness of communication messages in Traveloka's #Lihatdunialagi campaign content with the title "Wasedaboys Enter the Interior of Papua! Meet the Dani Tribe”. The author uses a qualitative content analysis method with an interpretive paradigm. The data validity technique used is source triangulation and technique/method triangulation. The results of this study show that the content of Traveloka's #Lihatdunialagi campaign with the title "Wasedaboys Enters the Interior of Papua! Meet the Dani Tribe" contains a category of forms of cultural diversity and a form of the effectiveness of communication messages but with a different number of scores on the coding method.

Abstract

Communication within the family serves to foster a good relationship between parents and children, thus encouraging openness in children towards their parents. However, the role of a working father in society, focused on his job, limits the time available for communication with his children, hindering the child's openness towards their father. The role of the father, which significantly contributes to the development of his daughter, particularly during the early adulthood stage of 21-25 years old, a transitional period from adolescence to adulthood, has an impact. This study aims to determine how interpersonal communication between working fathers and their daughters can enhance the child's openness towards their father. The theory utilized in this research is interpersonal communication theory, focusing on the analysis of characteristics such as openness, empathy, support, positivity, and equality, as well as self-disclosure theory. The method employed in this study is descriptive qualitative research with an interpretative approach. The findings of this study indicate that interpersonal communication between working fathers and their adult daughters, aged 21-25 years old, possesses positive characteristics in terms of empathy, support, and positivity. However, there are still shortcomings in terms of openness and equality between them. To enhance the daughter's openness towards her father, improvements are still needed in terms of the dimension of time and the depth of conversation topics. Thus, it is necessary to enhance interpersonal communication so that the child can broaden their self-expression towards their working father. These conclusions are supported by data obtained through observation methods and in-depth interviews with key informants, resulting in detailed research findings. Expert informants also provided scientifically-based opinions to support the responses of the key informants and offered constructive suggestions regarding interpersonal communication between working fathers and their daughters to enhance the child's openness.
