Abstract

The quality of goods or services is one of the factors that influence the consumer's attention. Improvements to the quality of the production process is done continuously to minimize product defects, one method that can be used to control the quality and overcome the number of defective products is with the Six Sigma method. From the calculations, the defective products caused by 3 decay, which amounted to 9520 due to a broken, 7598 defects due to underdonebricks and about 6,740 defects due scorched. Percentage of bricks defective to total of production is about 36%. This percentage is huge, given the controls used is 1%. From the causals diagram, there are factors that affect the defective products which are human, the burning process and materials. By using six sigma obtained DPMO value of 124,888.23 and the number six sigma of 2.69.Keywords: Six sigma, quality, defective products.

Abstract

Inventories have an important role in business operations. In fact, problems in controlling inventory is the most important thing we've come across in any company. Inventories have enormous influence for a smooth production process. PT Ima Montaz Sejahtera (PT IMS) is one of the companies engaged in the manufacture beverage Bottled Drinking Water. PT IMS is distributes its products throughout NAD. The main raw material used was water purchased from PT. PIM. The company ordered a bottle of the product medium, glass cup on products, lids, labels and cartons were booked from Medan which become relationship with them. But in reality, the bottle material is not always available because raw material ordering is not efficient, thus inhibiting the production process and increase the use of cost. In the years 2015-2016 from September to August happens 18 times a monthly ordered are ordering frequency from 1 to 2 orders with the amount of raw materials that different every month. Based on preliminary research shows that ordered data in September, October, November, December, January and February each performed two times ordered, while March, April, May, June, July and August each time is 1 ordered. Additionally in 2015 there were eight times the idle time in the production department Bottleline due to the absence of Safety Stock thus automatically no production activities in the production department Bottleline to incur losses for the company. Based on this it needs to be analyzed at the company's inventory control. The results showed that the frequency of the purchasing of raw materials by using the EOQ method which is 3 times the total cost of supply of raw materials companies amounted to Rp12,041,404. Where the company must hold safety stock to expedite the process of production by the number of 407.685 bottles, with reorder point of 362.961 bottles.Keywords: Inventory, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Reorder Point, Safety stock

Abstract

Has done a simulation for system queues at gas stations with observation for 3 hours. From the calculation of the data, obtained the arrival rate of 115 customers per hour and service levels for three fueling facilities as 140.48%. By performing simulation using ProModel software, obtained total customer arrival as 540 customers over 3 hours of simulation. With a utilization rate of 7.17% for the first facility; 6.42% for the second facility and 5.48% for the third facility. The average time of arrival at the first facility is for 0.9 minutes, a second facility for 0.6 minutes and the third facility for 0.4 minutes.Keywords: Simulation, Utilization, Queue System.

Abstract

and eliminate waste. CV. Hidup Baru is a company that manufactures Bottled Drinking Water (bottled water) systems make to stock. The company set a number of production based on rough estimates of consumer demand in the previous periods. This causes the total production exceeds the amount of consumer demand for 6 periods within the range of the last 12 periods derived from historical data of the company. According to these data, too, can be seen an average of the final product inventory in the warehouse at 280% of the final product in each period. Stacking sizable inventory of this course will cause the cost of carrying cost is high. Therefore, this study aimed to optimize the amount of inventory in the warehouse by using the concept of lean manufacturing, in which the system uses the reorder point (amount of safety stock) as the minimum inventory that should be there in the shed, so companies can plan production quantities which should be generated in the next period. The results showed that with the proposed inventory system obtained total cost savings reached 716.100 cardboard carrying cost and inventory turnover value of 2 times is also larger than the current inventory system.Keywords: Lean Manufacturing, Safety Stock, Carrying Costs, Inventory Turnover

Abstract

Increased demand for medical materials, triggering research into alternativemedical materials. Alternative materials should have the same characteristics for the patient's body. Sericin is a protein that has biocompatible, biodegradable and other important properties. Sericin is widely used in biomedical applications, it is thought that sericin is a promising natural resource as an alternative medical material. This study analyzed pore diameter in sericin-bioplastic biocomposites by Taguchi method. Bioplastics of 3 variations of tapioca starch were 16 g, 14 g, and 10 g, mixed 80 ml of aquades and 6 ml of glycerin. Sericin was determined 0.03%, 0.1%, and 0.3% by weight of tapioca starch. The biocomposite undergoes freeze drying process and is frozen at -25oC, -45oC, and -80oC for one day. SEM test to see pore diameter and biocomposite structure. Optimal analysis was performed for optimal combinations of sericin-bioplastic biocomposites. The SEM results showed pore diameters qualified for regeneration of skin tissue on freezers C -C, F, and I -25oC biocomposites of 41.94 μm, 33.416 μm and 32.743 μm respectively. Calculation of average response and maximum SNR at 16 g tapioca starch, 0.03% sericin and -25oC temperature. The predicted and confidence interval values for averages are large from 11,656 μm and small from 54,602 μm, SNR is large from 31,940 μm and small from 33,642 μm. The optimal experimental conditions for confirmation of large pore diameter for averages were large from 32.342 μm and small from 34.206 μm, large SNR of 32.342 μm and small from 34.206 μm.Keywords: Composition optimization, alternative medical materials, sericin- bioplastic biocomposites, Taguchi Methods, SEM

Abstract

Work Station, human Work Factor contains a high hazard potential so we need a preventive effort to prevent accidents and illness due to improper working posture. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship postures with complaints system muscoloskletal workers agate grinding process so that the system can meminimalisirkan complaint musculoskletal workers agate grinding. To determine the posture disorders occurring in workers then used method of REBA (Rapid EntireBody Asssessment). That is the method used to analyze the workers based on the position of the body. This method is designed to evaluate the work or activities, where such work has a tendency to cause discomfort such as fatigue in the neck, spine, arm. From the observations that have been made are not ergonomic working position. It is necessary for improvement of working methods by the company.Kata Kunci: Work Posture, Work Station, Musculoskeletal, REBA, Gems Stone.

Abstract

PT. Lafarge Cement Indonesia (LCI) Lhoknga, have produced their products to reach 1.78 million tons per year onwards. PT. Lafarge Cement Andalas (LCI) Indonesia Lhoknga has port facilities themselves in Lhoknga, also some bag terminal contained in Lhokseumawe, Belawan, Batam, and On the distribution of bagged cement in Lhoknga packing stasiun is not maximized because of the overall quota provided only 60% per month which taken by the distributor of the sales target. Distribution scheduling methods do by using Visual Basic 2010 facilitated program Semen RF Ugha 68. An initial simulation results can be used to analyze the amount of the distribution and the distribution shifts per day with a certain amount of quota that is not the same each month or per day depending on the number of working days will be used. In the program Ugha Cement RF 68 just counting the number of quota per month, per day, the amount of the effective time, the number of maneuvers the truck, and the number of bags per day to be distributed. The final results of how the amount of the actual time required to distribute the total quota Based on the results waiting time machine the bag terminal caused by several things including, the quota system, scheduling less well planned, distributors do not consistently take the cement appropriate amount of quota per day that has been allocated, and the determination of the day working up to 30 working days to reach the number of hours worked two shifts.Keywords: PT. Abstract

Efficiency is one of the important performance indicators in measuring the performance of an organization, determination of process efficiency by comparison to some of the units of measurement into a proportional response to the question of overall performance object pengmatan unit. This study aims to determine the value of the relativity of a banking organization's efficiency through approaches diunit Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Values relative efficiency of a unit obtained by the ratio of input and output used to see the amount of weight of each unit when there is a process of comparison (benchmarking). Adapaun data used in this study are primary data derived from Bank BRI branch office unit that Meulaboh Cut Nyak Dien office units, office units and office units Johan Pahlawan Teuku Umar in the form of annual financial reports for two years (2014 and 2015). For the study variables divided into two input variables consisting of the number of employees, the number of deposits, the number of customers and the amount of operating costs (BOP) while the output variable is the number of loans and total income (revenue). By using the DEA method can know the amount of the value of the relative efficiency of the three units of Bank BRI branch offices in Meulaboh, for the year 2014 Cut Nyak Dien office units, office units and office units Johan Pahlawan Teuku Umar obtain efficient relative value = 1, which means efficient. Whereas in 2015 the office unit Johan Pahlawan obtain the relative efficiency value = 0.81, which means less efficient. Abstract

Purpose of this study is to determine the quality of services in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) minimum service standards Pertamina Pasti Pas gas stations and to determine the degree of influence the quality of services provided Pasti Pas Meureubo gas stations to customer satisfaction. Method used to analyze the quality of service to satisfaction costumer is Servqual method which is the method used to measure the quality of service of the attributes of each dimension, so the value will be gap (the gap) is difference between consumer perceptions of the services that have been received with expectations to be received. The measurement method is to measure the quality of service of the attributes of each dimension, so that would be obtained value gap is the difference between consumer perceptions of service received by the consumer expectations on the services that will be received. However, in general there has been no uniformity limitations on the concept of quality servive (servqual). Data analysis Pearson correlation coefficients were processed through a computerized statistical software. Based on the findings of the research data, can be obtained by the correlation coefficient (r) of rhitung of 0, 886 were identified at the level of 0.01. Based on the statement that if r> 0, then the hypothesis is accepted and positive direction. Because calculations show that rhitung r (0, 886)> rtabel (0.198), meaning Ha (alternative hypothesis) Ho accepted and rejected. Abstract

Analysis of the work program of BPJS can be utilized to determine the applicability of the program to fulfil the needs of the patients as the direct beneficiary of the program. This study is intended to be the basis for management of BPJS, hospital and government to improve the quality of services. The research is a descriptive-qualitative field study and using SERVQUAL method that considers BPJS beneficiary satisfaction in terms of principle, Confidence, Reliability, Tangibility, Empathy and Responsiveness. A total of 30 questionnaires were distributed to the patients of BPJS from diverse educational background, occupation, age and gender. Based on the analysis, patient satisfaction with services obtained by BPJS are as follows: low satisfaction (10%), medium (66,7%) and high (23,3%).Keywords: End-user computing satisfaction, user satisfaction, evaluation of information systems.
