Abstract

Achieving production targets is the goal of all companies, especially manufacturing companies. PT Ganding Toolsindo is an automotive component manufacturing company that aims to provide a high level of service and is committed to its clients, so achieving production targets is essential. However, it is unfortunate that there are still problems regarding the non-fulfillment of production targets. In addition, issues regarding rusty raw materials and waste also occur there. The cause of this problem is the advantages and disadvantages of raw materials because production planning and control have not been appropriately implemented. Therefore, this Community Service (PkM) aims to assist partners in solving these problems through training, production planning, and control assistance. The PkM series is carried out with a preliminary survey, material preparation, training, and mentoring. The material given in this PkM activity is about "Introduction to Production Planning and Control" and "Production Planning and Control Systems for Make to Order (MTO) Type Companies.” In addition, assistance is provided to solve problems that are the company's focus, namely making Side Tube part products by making dual kanban for the parts. Based on the evaluation results, this PkM activity has been carried out well and received a positive response from PkM partners, namely PT. Ganding Toolsindo.

Abstract

The waste bank management program aims to help the residents' economy and maintain environmental cleanliness by processing waste in the environment. The improvement of the residents' economy is done by selling inorganic/plastic waste that has economic value and converting organic waste into compost. Because of this background, the waste bank program was chosen as a community service activity for 2022 ITK by considering the appropriate location and partners. RT 56 Kelurahan Baru Ilir, West Balikpapan District is a densely populated area with the majority of its residents making seasonal livelihoods such as washermen and construction workers, so with the aim of helping the residents' economy, we decided to make RT 56 a partner for the waste bank program. The waste bank program is implemented in stages, namely coordination with the local government, socialization, waste collection, waste weighing, recording, selling waste and payments to customers. The processing of organic waste consists of refining organic waste, mixing in composting, ripening, harvesting compost. The Waste Bank program was implemented for 3 months, namely in March-May 2022 and obtained 23 customers with total customer funds reaching Rp564,324.00. The organic waste treatment program is carried out by making a composting prototype made from drums that is able to reduce the unpleasant odor produced during the composting process, so that in 1 month, ready-to-use organic fertilizer can be produced.

Abstract

Covid-19 health protocol regulations cause limited space for people to move, which has an impact on the social and economic life of the community. This condition gives rise to new habits, people must always maintain cleanliness which causes an increasing people's consumption of cleaners such as hand sanitizers, soaps, disinfectants, and others. In addition, people also often consume nutritious foods such as vegetables and fruit, thereby increasing the amount of household waste. However, housing conditions with limited yards and far from Final Disposal Sites (TPA) create a new problem, namely the accumulation of household waste. This condition is also experienced by the people of Mekarsari Village. The technique of converting organic waste into eco-enzymes plays an important role in reducing the amount of organic waste that ends up in landfill. Through community service activities, the team held an Eco-enzyme Making Training as an Alternative Hand Sanitizer during the Covid-19 Pandemic for the people of Mekarsari Village. Community service activities have been carried out and have been able to educate the public in processing household waste, especially organic waste, into eco-enzymes. Furthermore, the eco-enzyme can be used as a hand sanitizer.

Abstract

Data Scientist is a trending career in recent years. The survey results show that the need for a data scientist is high, but the availability is very low with limited capabilities. A data scientist needs statistics and programming skills. But, from a student's point of view, statistics is considered the same as mathematics, so it is less desirable because it is mathematical and is considered difficult. Students as prospective workers need to have insight into how to work and skills in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Failure to adapt to this new era will lead to increased unemployment of working age in the future. It is important to make the younger generation understand about statistics and data science skills, including the opportunities and job that exist, so efforts are needed to disseminate them. It is hoped that after understanding it, the younger generation will be interested in choosing a profession related to digital. The target audience is students of SMAN 3 Jember. The method used is presentation, then evaluation using a questionnaire. More than 79% of students rated the material presented as important, interesting and up to date. Students can also understand most of the material given, and the level of student interest in both fields is very high. This activity was generally successful.

Abstract

Building a website requires reliable skills that can be learned self-taught or through formal training institutions. The PKM implementation team plays a direct role in building the village through coaching and mentoring for the younger generation in Jambur Village, Perbaungan Island, who have been active in youth organizations. The rise in crime rates, the distribution of drugs, and the disinterest of village youths in continuing their education to higher education raise problems that must be addressed as soon as possible. PKM from STMIK Pelita Nusantara involves members of the Pemuda Pemudi Sejati youth group, the Jambur Pulau Village office and village craftsmen, later resulting in a partnership collaboration to produce an artificial intelligence-based village online shop website. Stages of PKM implementation, Stage-1: web programming training next Stage-2: website creation. Fundamental contributions to the target audience include developing a website for selling village products which is managed directly by members of the Youth Organization, so that it can suppress social problems in the younger generation. The members who are trained can develop the web so that later they are able to maintain the sustainability of the finished web site. The performance achievement of 98%-100% of service implementation is completed, resulting in youth youth websites, online promotion assistance to craftsmen partners.

Abstract

Landslides are one of the natural disasters that have had a wide range of social and economic consequences, including damage to public infrastructure, transportation, and telecommunications, as well as deaths Public understanding of disaster prevention, early sign of a disaster, how to handle it during, and after a disaster occurs is still low so it is necessary to educate the public to minimize losses. Preparing a young generation who is strong in dealing with landslides must be done early so that the community has preparedness when this disaster occurs. The students of  SMP PGRI 2 and SMP Negeri 4 Balikpapan City were chosen to receive education, considering that the location of this school is in an area that has a high potential for landslides because the area has a steep contour and is a densely populated area. Before and after education, a test was conducted to determine the level of students' understanding of the prevention and management of landslides.

Abstract

The Geospatial and Mining Geology Expertise Program at SMKN 1 Balikpapan has limitations in terms of facilities and infrastructure, the workshop building uses a former automotive workshop building which is not sufficiently representative as other skill program workshops. In terms of Geomatics practice equipment, two skill programs with resource sharing with very minimal facilities, where the equipment owned are as follows: 3 units of PPD, 1 unit of Digital Theodholite, and 2 units of TS where 1 battery unit is damaged, not proportional to the number of students with geospatial skills as many as 165 people with 6 teachers and 248 skill students with 8 teachers being less than optimal during geomatics practice. The assistance and training of the simulation tool survey and stake out guide carried out by the PkM Poltekba team is an alternative tool for the teaching and learning process in the field of measurement, making it easier for teachers and students to facilitate basic measurements and surveys in the field and reduce the risk of using limited tools so that the teaching and learning process becomes more optimal.
