Abstract

Critical thinking skills are very important to deal with problems in the life of the 21st era. Students' critical thinking skills are honed to help solve a problem that will affect student achievement. The low critical thinking skills of students in solving and analyzing a problem shows that students have not been trained in critical thinking so that learning innovations are needed, one of which is the LKPD student activity sheet in electronic form. The purpose of this study was to describe the practicality of e-LKPD environmental pollution materials developed to train critical thinking skills. The type of research used is formative test based on the Tessmer model. The results showed that the implementation of the E-LKPD got a score of 90.4 with very good criteria and the results of student responses got a score of 98.0 with the criteria of strongly agreeing. This shows that the developed E-LKPD is practical to practice critical thinking skills.Abstrak Keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat penting untuk menghadapi permasalahan dalam kehidupan era ke 21. Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang terasah dapat membantu dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan yang akan berpengaruh terhadap prestasi peserta didik. Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan dan menganalisis suatu permasalahan menunjukkan peserta didik belum terlatih dalam berpikir kritis sehingga diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran salah satunya dengan lembar kegiatan peserta didik LKPD dalam bentuk elektronik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan E-LKPD materi pencemaran lingkungan yang dikembangkan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah uji formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil respon peserta didik mendapatkan nilai 98,0 dengan kriteria sangat setuju dan keterlaksanaan E-LKPD mendapatkan nilai sebesar 90,4 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan praktis untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century is marked by the development of technology and information, one example is the use of electronic Student Worksheets, which usually use paper worksheets, now we can find on the internet. Electronic Student Worksheets has become one of the essential learning technologies, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of electronic LKPD expectations on the concept of Animalia. Students are expected to be able to improve critical thinking skills through the implementation of electronic LKPD in the learning process. The research method used Tessmer's Formative Evaluation design, through stages 1) self-evaluation; 2) expert review; 3) one-to-one evaluation; and 4) small group evaluation. Data obtained from the research instrument in the form of an assessment sheet of validity and practicality of expectations. The results of research on the development of electronic LKPD are include in the valid category with a score of 3.78, the practicality of expectations is included in the very good category with a percentage score of 95.54%, and the effectiveness of expectations is included in the very good category on critical thinking skills of interpretation, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation, while aspects of analysis and inference have increased to very good.AbstrakPerkembangan abad ke-21 ditandai dengan berkembangnya teknologi dan informasi, salah satu contohnya adalah penggunaan LKPD elektronik, yang biasanya LKPD menggunakan kertas sekarang dapat kita jumpai di internet. LKPD elektronik menjadi salah satu teknologi pembelajaran yang esensial, terlebih saat kondisi pandemi Covid-19 saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan validitas, kepraktisan harapan, dan keefektifan LKPD elektronik konsep Animalia. Peserta didik diharapkan mampu untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui implementasi LKPD elektronik dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian memakai desain Tessmer, terdiri atas: 1) self-evaluation; 2) expert review; 3) one-to-one evaluation; 4) small group evaluation. Data diperoleh dari instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian validitas dan kepraktisan harapan LKPD elektronik. Hasil penelitian pengembangan LKPD elektronik termasuk dalam kategori valid dengan skor 3,78, kepraktisan harapan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan skor persentase 95,54%, serta keefektifan harapan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik pada keterampilan berpikir kritis interpretasi, evaluasi, eksplanasi, dan pengaturan diri, sedangkan aspek analisis dan inferensi mengalami peningkatan menjadi sangat baik.

Abstract

The development of a popular scientific book that is developed based on the local potential of a region is one solution that can be used to overcome problems that often arise such as a lack of student reading interest due to boring teaching materials and learning medifications in the Low Plant Botany course, especially in several studies of shrub diversity that require students to make direct observations. This development research aims to describe the practicality of the popular scientific book prototype entitled "Diversity of the Mangrove Shrubs in Tabanio Village." The research method used was the development model by EDR which was limited to the formative evaluation phase based on the Tessmer model. The results showed that the results of the feasibility test for popular scientific books got an average score of 88.9% with very good criteria and the results of student responses to popular scientific books got an average of 89.18% with criterion strongly agree. This shows that a popular scientific book entitled "Diversity of Mangrove Shrubs in Tabanio Village" is very practical to be used as an enrichment material in learning Low Plant Botany.AbstrakPengembangan sebuah buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan berdasarkan potensi lokal yang dimiliki sebuah daerah merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang sering muncul seperti kurangnya minat membaca mahasiswa karena bahan ajar dan medifikasi pembelajaran yang membosankan pada mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi khususnya pada beberapa kajian keanekaragaman semak yang mengharuskan mahasiswa untuk melakukan pengamatan langsung. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan prototipe buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul “Keanekaragaman Semak Mangrove Desa Tabanio” Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah model pengembangan Education Design Reserch (EDR) yang dibatasi sampai pada fase evaluasi formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil uji keterlaksanaan buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 88,9% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil respond mahasiswa terhadap buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan rata-rata 89,18% dengan kriteris sangat setuju. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Keanekaragaman Semak Mangrove Desa Tabanio” sangat praktis digunakan sebagai bahan pengayaan dalam pembelajaran Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi.

Abstract

Effective learning is when students are actively involved in the learning process, so they can gain an understanding of the learning process carried out and can improve learning outcomes on the concept of learning. Archaebacteria and Eubacteria are biological concepts that are relatively difficult, abstract, and tend to memorize. Therefore research and development of fun learning media are carried out in the form of a Question Wheel game "KARUNIA". This research and development are to describe the validity of the "KARUNIA" Question Wheel learning media. This type of research is research and development with 4D models. This research is limited to the Develop stage. The results of research and development carried out on the "KARUNIA" Question Wheel learning media on the Archaebacteria and Eubacteria concepts are classified as very valid with a value of 88%.AbstrakPembelajaran yang efektif adalah apabila siswa ikut terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga dapat memperoleh pemahaman dari proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada konsep pembelajaran. Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria merupakan konsep Biologi yang relatif sulit, abstrak, dan cenderung menghafal. Maka dari itu dilakukan penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan berupa permainan Question Wheel “KARUNIA”. Tipe penelitian R&D ini untuk mendeskripsikan validitas media pembelajaran Question Wheel “KARUNIA”. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model 4D. Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap Develop (pengembangan). Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan pada media pembelajaran Question Wheel “KARUNIA” pada Konsep Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria tergolong sangat valid dengan nilai 88%.

Abstract

The latest data stated that the rate of deforestation has reached 2.83 million hectares per year during 1997 to 2000 and was reduced to 1.08 million hectares per year 2000-2005. It included the population ofironwood, population of ironwood is thinning because of the loggers who are logging ironwood as a good effort. Ironwood has been classified as endangered, but in the District of Kintap there are still many loggers of stump ironwood. Respondents need to have knowledge about the population of ironwood plant to measure the extent of respondents understanding related to their habits, especially in terms of ironwood conservation. People’s habit to use the ironwood plants in the district Kintap is the behavior of the villagers who live in the area near the forest who are not concerned about the reduction in the plant population. The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the knowledge and the habitof the loggers and collectors about the scarcity of the ironwood plantpopulation in Kintap district (2) Create public information material that is made by the results of the research know ledge and habits of loggers and collectors of the population ironwood plants in Kintap district as leaflets. The results showed (1) Knowledge of the loggers and the collectors about ironwood plant population, they knewabout the breeding, growth, utilization, distribution and conservation, but not very aware of the rules. Loggers and collectors habit on logging and selling is always done without making purchaselicense. In addition, they did not care about the preservation of ironwood (2) the result of the leafle treadability assessment of loggers, collectors and the public are rated high. Result of the validation by the three validators categorized as very valid.

Abstract

Validation of teaching materials is needed to see the suitability of the teaching materials developed with learning outcomes, so that these teaching materials are suitable for use in learning. One type of written work that can be used as teaching material is popular scientific books. Popular scientific books are used by students to increase knowledge about the material being studied. The purpose of this study was to analyze the validity of the popular scientific book Diversity of Fish Species as Enrichment Material for Vertebrate Zoology Courses. Descriptive quantitative research method, to find information on the validity of popular scientific books compiled based on research results. The subjects of the validity data are 3 validators (expert judgment). Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that popular scientific books were compiled for aspects of coherence 95.8%, readability 83.3%, vocabulary 87.5%, active and passive sentences 100%, systematics 83.3%, writing method 100%, applications and implications 100 %, definitions and explanations 91.67%, and other styles of devices 87.5%. Based on the results of the study, the average validity score was 92.13% with a very valid category.Abstrak Validasi terhadap bahan ajar diperlukan untuk melihat kesesuaian antara bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan capaian pembelajaran, sehingga bahan ajar tersebut layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Salah satu jenis karya tulis yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar adalah Buku ilmiah popular. Buku ilmiah populer dimanfaatkan mahasiswa untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang materi yang dibelajarkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis validitas buku ilmiah populer Keanekaragaman Jenis Ikan Sebagai Bahan Pengayaan Mata Kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata. Metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, untuk menemukan informasi validitas buku ilmiah populer yang disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian. Subyek data validitas yaitu 3 orang validator (expert judgement). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa buku ilmiah populer yang disusun untuk aspek koherensi 95.8%, keterbacaan 83,3%, kosa kata 87,5%, kalimat aktif dan pasif 100%, sistematika 83,3%, metode penulisan 100%, aplikasi dan implikasi 100%, definisi dan penjelasan 91,67%, serta gaya lain perangkat 87,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan untuk rerata skor validitas 92,13% dengan kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

The people of Kandangan Baru Village have traditional wisdom in utilizing plants. The plants are used as medicine or economic materials. One of them is Claoxylon indicum in the Bukit Tamiang Forest, Tanah Laut Regency which can be used as a value of local wisdom for the local community. The purpose of this study was to describe the validity of the ethnobotany scientific work of Indian geranium as supporting material for ethnobotany. This study uses a development research method with the Educational Design Research (EDR) model and formative evaluation of the Tessmer exam. Teaching materials are in the form of a Popular Scientific Book entitled The Ethnobotany Study of Claoxylon indicum Plants in the Bukit Tamiang Forest Area in the expert test by two validators with a score of 94.4% as well as the practicality of the content for the individual test (one to one) by 3 biology education students of FKIP ULM Banjarmasin who had passed the ethnobotany course had very good results with a score of 3.7.Abstrak Masyarakat Desa Kandangan Baru memiliki kearifan tradisional dalam memanfaatkan tumbuhan. Tumbuhan digunakan sebagai obat atau bahan ekonomi. Salah satunya adalah Claoxylon indicum di Hutan Bukit Tamiang Kabupaten Tanah Laut yang dapat dijadikan sebagai nilai kearifan lokal bagi masyarakat setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan validitas karya ilmiah etnobotani geranium India sebagai bahan pendukung etnobotani. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model Educational Design Research (EDR) dan evaluasi formatif ujian Tessmer. Bahan ajar berupa Buku Ilmiah Populer yang berjudul Kajian Etnobotani Tumbuhan Claoxylon indicum di Kawasan Hutan Bukit Tamiang pada uji pakar oleh dua validator memiliki hasil validasi sangat valid dengan skor 94,4% serta hasil kepraktisan isi untuk uji perorangan (one to one) oleh 3 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi FKIP ULM Banjarmasin yang telah lulus mata kuliah etnobotani memiliki hasil sangat baik dengan skor 3,7.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the cognitive skills that are necessary for learners in the 21st century. The government implements the 2013 curriculum to improve learners ' critical thinking skills with one of its components of teaching materials in a student's worksheet (LKPD). The problem is that the use of LKPD is still lacking in facilitating learners ' critical thinking skills. This research aims to develop the LKPD on the concept of biodiversity that is valid, practical, and effective. The research methods used are Tessmer design, which includes: expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The LKPD structure was developed referring to Daryanto & Dwicahyono and critical thinking skills referring to the Facione 1990. Subject validation includes three experts, one to one evaluation subjects are three learners of class X SMA, and a small group evaluation subject is six students of class X SMA. The results showed that the effectiveness of expectations seen from the assessment of critical thinking skills of learners in completing the LKPD belongs to a very good category.AbstrakKeterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu keterampilan kognitif yang perlu dimiliki peserta didik pada abad ke-21. Pemerintah menerapkan kurikulum 2013 untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan salah satu komponennya bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Permasalahan yang ada adalah penggunaan LKPD masih kurang dalam memfasilitasi keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain Tessmer, yang meliputi: 1) expert review; 2) one-to-one evaluation; dan 3) small group evaluation. ­Struktur LKPD yang dikembangkan mengacu pada Daryanto & Dwicahyono dan keterampilan berpikir kritis mengacu pada Facione 1990. Subjek validasi meliputi 3 orang ahli, subjek uji perorangan adalah 3 orang peserta didik kelas X SMA, dan subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah 6 orang peserta didik kelas X SMA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan harapan yang dilihat dari penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan LKPD tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Based on clinical supervision at Loban 1 Public High School, most of the teachers have not developed their own learning tools, so that relevance to learning in schools needs to be addressed. This research & development uses the ASSURE development model on the Mushroom concept using the guided inquiry learning model and the 5M approach. The purpose of this study is to develop a mushroom concept learning device using a model of guided inquiry in high school that is valid, practical and effective. The subject of research & development is a learning device while the object of research is students of SMA 1 Loban River, Tanah Bumbu Regency. Individual trials were carried out in the X-MIA3 class, and small group tests in the X-MIA2 class and field tests were carried out in the X-MIA1 class. Data on the validity of learning devices include validation by three experts, data on the practicality of learning devices including assessment of the implementation of lesson plans, student responses to learning, observation of teacher and student activities during learning activities and the level of effectiveness of learning devices including a) cognitive and product learning outcomes. b) results of the assessment of performance skills, c) results of the assessment of social attitudes, d) results of spiritual attitude assessment, and e) results of the assessment of critical thinking skills. The results of the study showed that the learning devices that had been developed had fulfilled the indicators of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, thus the Mushroom concept learning tools developed by using the guided inquiry model and the 5M approach could already be used in learning activities.

Abstract

Media in biology learning is one of the means so that students understand the concept of biology in a broad sense. This encourages researchers to develop learning media in the form of macroscopic fungi booklets. This study aims to describe the characteristics and identify the types of macroscopic fungi found on the banks of the Kembang River natural tourism river and to describe the results of the validity of the macroscopic fungi booklet on the banks of the Kembang River natural tourism river as a learning medium for high school students. This research uses the descriptive method and 4D development method. The results showed that the characteristics of macroscopic fungi can be seen from the shape of the hood, the surface of the hood, its hymenophores, the shape of the stem, color, presence or absence of annulus and odor, and the type of substrate where the fungus grows. Macroscopic fungi found on the banks of the Sungai Kembang Nature Tourism river are divided by taxon level into 2 divisions, 3 classes, 4 orders, 6 familia, 8 genera, and 17 species. Utilization of research results on types of macroscopic fungi on the banks of the Kembang River natural tourism river is then presented in the form of a booklet (learning media) which gets an average expert validity of 82.10% with very valid criteria and suitable for use as a learning medium.Abstrak Media dalam pembelajaran Biologi merupakan salah satu sarana agar peserta didik memahami konsep pada Biologi secara luas. Hal tersebut mendorong peneliti untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa booklet  materi jamur makroskopis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan mengidentikasi jenis jamur makroskopis yang ditemukan di bantaran sungai wisata alam Sungai Kembang serta mendeskripsikan hasil validitas Booklet  jamur makroskopis di bantaran sungai wisata alam Sungai Kembang sebagai media pembelajaran siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan metode pengembangan model 4D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik jamur makroskopis dapat dilihat dari bentuk tudung, permukaan tudung, hymenophorenya, bentuk batang, warna, ada tidaknya annulus dan bau, serta jenis substrat tempat tumbuhnya jamur. Jamur makroskopis yang ditemukan di bantaran sungai Wisata Alam Sungai Kembang yang terbagi berdasarkan tingkatan taksonnya menjadi 2 divisio, 3 kelas, 4 Ordo, 6 Familia, 8 genus, dan 17 species. Pemanfaatan hasil penelitian jenis-jenis jamur makroskopis di bantaran sungai wisata alam Sungai Kembang kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk booklet  (media pembelajaran) yang mendapat hasil rata-rata validitas ahli 82,10% dengan kriteria sangat valid dan layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media belajar.
