Abstract

Pteridophyta is a sub-concept on Plant (Plantae) material in the Biology subject for Grade X Senior High School. In this competency, students are expected to apply classification principles to classify plants into divisions based on observations of plant morphology and metagenesis and linking their role in the continuity of life on earth. However, most students still find it difficult to understand the concept. This Pteridophyta is due to the lack of local potential-based references that are directly related to student life, one of which is learning media. Learning media is one of the means to help teachers and students learn concepts in Biology more broadly. This encourages researchers to develop learning media in the form of a booklet on the Plantae material sub-concept of ferns (Pteridophyta). This study aims to describe the validity of the booklet developed on the types of ferns (Pteridophyta) on the riverbanks of the Wisata Alam Sungai Kembang. This research uses RandD method with 4D development model to develop learning media in the form of booklets. The results of the validity test of the developed booklet showed very valid results.AbstrakPteridophyta merupakan subkonsep pada materi Tumbuhan (Plantae) di mata pelajaran Biologi SMA Kelas X. Pada kompetensi tersebut siswa diharapkan dapat menerapkan prinsip klasifikasi untuk menggolongkan tumbuhan ke dalam divisio berdasarkan pengamatan morfologi dan metagenesis tumbuhan serta mengaitkan peranannya dalam kelangsungan kehidupan di bumi. Namun kebanyakan siswa masih sulit untuk memahami konsep Pteridophyta tersebut karena masih kurangnya referensi berbasis potensi lokal yang berkaitan langsung dengan kehidupan siswa, salah satunya yaitu media pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu sarana untuk membantu guru maupun siswa dalam mempelajari konsep pada Biologi secara lebih luas. Hal tersebut mendorong peneliti untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa booklet subkonsep tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas booklet yang dikembangkan tentang jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) di bantaran sungai Wisata Alam Sungai Kembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RandD dengan model pengembangan 4D untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa booklet. Hasil uji validitas terhadap booklet yang dikembangkan menunjukkan hasil sangat valid.

Abstract

Lingkungan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar langsung. Proses pembelajaran yang mempertemukan siswa dengan objek yang dipelajari dapat meningkatkan produktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa dengan memanfaatkan potensi lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan saintifik di lingkungan pesisir. Data minat belajar siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif dari angket observasi respon siswa sebanyak 5 orang dari masing-masing sekolah. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dianalisis berdasarkan hasil hitung N-gain skor evaluasi. Respon siswa di sekolah A memperoleh skor persentase 85,5% (positif) dan sekolah B memperoleh skor persentase 87,5% (positif). N-gain peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa di sekolah A adalah 0,42 (sedang) dan siswa di sekolah B adalah 0,79 (tinggi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar mampu meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa SMA.

Abstract

The forest areas with special-purpose (KHDTK) Lambung Mangkurat University is an important learning resource for many people, especially students. One of the biodiversity in the area that can be utilized is the diversity of Anura. For identified Anuran species, we need the field guide book according to complete with areas character, Anuran list, and supported by the content that is simple and easy to understand. Therefore the field guide book was developed in such a way using the development model by Tessmer. The result of an expert review shows that this field guide book has been very valid (88%) with criteria that can be used without revision. Attractive design, complex content, with simple language make this field guide not only can be used for students but also by the general people.AbstrakKawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) Universitas Lambung Mangkurat merupakan sumber belajar penting bagi banyak pihak, terlebih mahasiswa. Salah satu keanekaragaman hayati di kawasan tersebut yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah keanekaragaman Anura. Untuk melakukan identifikasi jenis diperlukan buku panduan identifikasi yang sesuai dengan karakter wilayah dan keanekaragaman anura di dalamnya serta ditunjang dengan komponen isi yang sifatnya sederhana dan mudah untuk dimengerti. Oleh karenanya, buku panduan lapangan identifikasi jenis anura ini dikembangkan sedemikian rupa menggunakan model pengembangan oleh Tessmer. Hasil penilaian ahli menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan lapangan ini memiliki kriteria sangat valid (88%) dan dapat digunakan tanpa revisi. Desain menarik, isi yang kompleks, dengan bahasa yang sederhana membuat buku panduan lapangan ini tidak hanya dapat digunakan untuk kalangan pelajar saja namun juga oleh masyarakat umum.

Abstract

Biology learning in schools still experiences several problems. The learning process carried out has not optimally fulfilled the demands of the Education Curriculum, including in helping students to have critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills can be optimized by developing learning modules. This study aims to obtain a valid biology module based on critical thinking skills for SMA/MA students. The module development method uses Tessmer's research and development design model that focuses on formative evaluation. The module developed refers to six kinds of critical thinking skills according to Facione, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. Data obtained from the validity test by three validators. The percentage of expert validation data was then categorized. Data analysis used the descriptive technique.  The biology learning module based on critical thinking skills that were developed as a whole obtained very valid criteria.Abstrak Pembelajaran Biologi di sekolah masih mengalami beberapa permasalahan. Proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan belum secara optimal memenuhi tuntutan Kurikulum Pendidikan, diantaranya dalam membantu peserta didik untuk memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat dioptimalkan dengan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan modul biologi yang berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis pada peserta didik SMA/MA yang valid. Metode pengembangan modul menggunakan model desain penelitian pengembangan dari Tessmer yang fokus pada evaluasi formatif. Modul yang dikembangkan mengacu pada enam macam keterampilan berpikir kritis menurut Facione, meliputi interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, eksplanasi dan regulasi diri. Data diperoleh dari uji validitas oleh tiga validator. Persentase data validasi ahli kemudian dikategorisasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kategorisasi. Modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dikembangkan secara keseluruhan memperoleh kriteria sangat valid.

Abstract

Biology learning process that occurs in SMAN 2 Muara Teweh still using devices based learning and student handbooks with the curriculum SBC devices are arranged in the Subject Teachers Council (MGMP). Student handbook based curriculum SBC used as basis for the preparation of such devices in general. Learning with the inquiry model of bacterial material has never been used by teachers in order to improve the learning spirit of students to learn. The material of bacteria is one of the materials related to the scientific attitude. The aim of this study is to produce a software development learning inquiry model with the concept of high school students of class X bacteria valid and practical and can study the implementation of the concept of bacteria using a model of an effective inquiry. Samples were individual trials that test 3 and test experts legibility on 6 students, small groups of test class numbered 19 students and class field tests totaling 24 students. The instrument of this research is the syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, assessment sheets, key pieces of assessment, teaching materials, process observation sheet, psychomotor skills, critical thinking, character, social behavior and the activities of teachers and students. Data retrieved student learning outcomes through pretest and posttest in learning the concept of bacteria using inquiry model. Activity observation sheet obtained under observation while the activities of the skills assessed by sheets of skills. It can be concluded that Practicality learning device has been reached. the enforceability of RPP and either categorized student activity, student responses almost all the students are very happy. The effectiveness of the learning device has also been met, it is based on the cognitive learning products and cognitive processes has reached mastery that students get the value of N-gain with high category, the assessment results psychomotor skills, assessment of social attitudes and attitude of the character, as well as critical thinking has been included in both categories, research can produce development tools through inquiry model valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

The learning process in the 2013 curriculum has accommodated learning models that demand and facilitate Critical Thinking skills, but the role of teaching materials namely the Student Worksheet (LKPD) used in the learning process is still lacking in facilitating Critical Thinking skills students. With the existence of quality LKPD, it is expected that learning will be able to achieve the 2013 curriculum objectives. This type of research is a research development with the stages of expert review, one to one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The subjects of the small group evaluation were six students of class XI MIA 2 in SMAN 9 Banjarmasin. The results of the study show the effectiveness of expectations based on the assessment of the critical thinking skills of the participants enjoyed in working on the LKPD which has very good categories (including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and self-regulation) and good categories (including inference and explanation). Interpersonal (collaborating) and intrapersonal (meticulous) skills of students have excellent categories.AbstrakProses pembelajaran pada kurikulum 2013 sudah mengakomodir model pembelajaran yang menuntut dan memfasilitasi keterampilan Berpikir Kritis (KBK), tetapi peran bahan ajar yakni Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang digunakan pada proses pembelajaran masih kurang dalam memfasilitasi KBK peserta didik. Adanya LKPD yang berkualitas diharapkan pembelajaran mampu mencapai tujuan kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan LKPD pada konsep Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria berbasis KBK. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan tahapan uji pakar, uji perorangan dan uji kelompok kecil. Subjek uji pakar adalah dua orang dosen Pendidikan Biologi. Subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah enam orang peserta didik kelas XI MIA 2 SMAN 9 Banjarmasin. Hasil penelitiann menunjukan keefektifan harapan berdasarkan dari penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mengerjakan LKPD yang memiliki kategori sangat baik (meliputi interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi dan pengaturan diri) dan kategori baik (meliputi inferensi dan eksplanasi). Keterampilan interpersonal (bekerjasama) dan keterampilan intrapersonal (teliti) peserta didik memiliki kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Teaching materials in learning activities have an important meaning so that the learning process is easier and more effective. Local potential can be used as a source of learning to look at phenomena, events, and problems in an area or what is also called contextual learning. The handout is one of the teaching materials that is concise and makes it easier for students to understand learning. The research method used was to analyze the results of research on proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus) on Curiak Island by Zainudin and Rezeki, to be used as material for the development of proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus) handouts on Curiak Island with the Tessmer development model which was limited to the expert stage review (Expert Test). The validation test was carried out with experts consisting of 3 (three) validators with an overall validity value of 90.6% (very valid and fit for use without revision). Its validity is shown by the average assessment on the feasibility aspect of the content of 85.07% (very valid), the assessment of the feasibility of serving 91.25% (very valid), and the assessment of the language aspect of 87.14% (very valid).Abstrak Bahan ajar pada kegiatan pembelajaran memiliki arti penting, agar proses pembelajaran lebih mudah dan lebih efektif. Potensi lokal dapat dijadikan sumber belajar melihat pada fenomena, peristiwa, maupun permasalahan pada suatu daerah yang disebut dengan pembelajaran kontekstual. Handout merupakan salah satu bahan ajar yang ringkas dan memudahkan peserta didik memahami pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menganalisis hasil penelitian tentang bekantan (Nasalis larvatus) di Pulau Curiak oleh Zainuddin dan Rezeki, untuk dijadikan bahan pengembangan handout bekantan (Nasalis larvatus) di Pulau Curiak dengan model pengembangan Tessmer yang dibatasi hanya pada tahap expert review (Uji Pakar). Uji validasi dilakukan olehn para ahli yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) validator dengan nilai validitas keseluruhan yaitu 90,6% (sangat valid dan layak digunakan tanpa revisi). Kevalidan ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata penilaian pada aspek kelayakan isi 85,07% (sangat valid), penilaian aspek kelayakan penyajian 91,25% (sangat valid), dan penilaian aspek bahasa 87,14% (sangat valid).

Abstract

The concept of plant growth and development is important to learn, through a conceptual, contextual and scientific approach. The results of the analysis of the needs of Biology teachers and grade XII students of SMAN 2 Kintap show that there are still problems in making student worksheet on certain materials. As many as 91% of students are interested in student worksheet which is accompanied by lots of illustrations, concrete pictures, and easy to understand subject matter. Then, as many as 83% who like worksheet which looks colorful and attractive. This development research uses a 4D model which is limited to the Develop stage. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of the student worksheet subconcept of Inquiry-Based Plant Growth and Development. The research was carried out in grade XII MIA SMAN 2 Kintap and Biology Education Study Program FKIP ULM. The results showed that the student worksheet of the Plant Growth and Development subconcept obtained an average validity score of 97% from 4 aspects of the assessment that were assessed by 3 (three) validators and included very valid criteria (can be used without revision), while practicality obtained a value of 3.8 from the assessment. by 12 (twelve) students, included in the very good criteria, so it is practical to use.Abstrak Konsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan penting untuk dipelajari, melalui pendekatan konseptual, kontekstual dan ilmiah. Hasil analisis kebutuhan guru Biologi dan peserta didik kelas XII SMAN 2 Kintap menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan LKPD pada materi tertentu masih terkendala. Sebanyak 91% peserta didik tertarik dengan LKPD yang disertai banyak ilustrasi, gambar-gambar yang konkrit, dan mudah memahami materi pelajaran. Lalu, sebanyak 83% yang menyukai LKPD yang tampilannya warna-warni dan menarik. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4D yang dibatasi pada tahap Develop. Penelitian ini bertujuan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dan kepraktisan LKPD subkonsep Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan Tumbuhan Berbasis Inkuiri. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas XII MIA SMAN 2 Kintap dan Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP ULM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKPD subkonsep Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan Tumbuhan memperoleh skor validitas rata-rata 97% dari 4 aspek penilaian yang dinilai oleh 3 (tiga) validator dan termasuk kriteria sangat valid (dapat digunakan tanpa revisi), sedangkan kepraktisan diperoleh nilai 3,8 dari penilaian oleh 12 (dua belas) peserta didik, termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik, sehingga praktis untuk digunakan.

Abstract

One of the goals of Gerakan Literasi Sekolah was to develop the information literacy skills needed by students to be more critical in receiving and using information because along with the progress of the information age it becomes infinite. This study aims to determine the relationship between inquiry learning models and information literacy of students at SMP Negeri 5 Banjarmasin on the classification of living things. This research is a quasi experiment that uses 7th grade as a population and the sample is selected based on purposive sampling. The data were collected by tests (pretest and posttest) and assessments on student worksheets. The analysis technique used: 1) paired t-test to determine differences in the test results of each class. 2) Unpaired t-test to determine the difference in postest between two classes. 3) correlation test to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results show that there is a significant increase in the test scores in the experimental class of 36.7 and 23.7 in the control class and the postest score of the experimental class is greater 2.97. The correlation test show that percentage of the relationship between the two variables is 88.6%, this means that inquiry learning models has a positive effect on students' information literacy skills.Abstrak Gerakan literasi Sekolah yang digagas oleh pemerintah memiliki tujuan salah satunya yaitu mengembangkan kemampuan literasi informasi yang diperlukan siswa agar menjadi lebih kritis dalam menerima maupun menggunakan informasi karena, seiring dengan kemajuan zaman informasi menjadi tak terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara hasil pembelajaran inkuiri dengan literasi informasi siswa di SMPN 5 Banjarmasin pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment yang menggunakan seluruh kelas 7 sebagai populasi dan sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes (pretest dan posttest) serta dilakukan penilaian terhadap hasil kerja siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Tahap analisis data diantaranya: 1) uji-t berpasangan untuk mendapatkan perbedaan pretest dan postest masing-masing kelas. 2) Uji-t tidak berpasangan untuk mengetahui perbedaan postest kedua kelas. 3) uji korelasi untuk mengetahui hubungan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan keterampilan literasi informasi siswa. Adapun dari hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan skor pretest ke postest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 36,7 dan 23,7 pada kelas kontrol serta terdapat perbedaan nilai postest kelas ekperimen sebesar 2,97 lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji korelasi, persentase hubungan pembelajaran inkuiri dengan keterampilan literasi informasi yaitu 88,6% sehingga hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan literasi informasi siswa.

Abstract

Learning in the 2013 curriculum has one component, namely the existence of teaching materials in the form of student worksheets. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of student worksheets based on critical thinking skills on the Protista concept. This study uses a formative evaluation design method from Tessmer. The student worksheet developed refers to the student worksheets structure according to Daryanto & Dwicahyono, while his critical thinking skills refer to Facione 1990. Subjects in expert review consist of three experts, subjects in one to one evaluation consist of three students in class X high school and the subjects in the small group evaluation consisted of six high school grade X students. The results of research conducted indicate that: 1) student worksheets have a valid category based on the validity test; 2) student worksheets have a good category based on content practicality tests and has a very good category on practicality expectations based on students' responses; and 3) student worksheets has a very good category based on the assessment of students' critical thinking skills on the effectiveness test and has a very good category on interpersonal skills (working together) and intrapersonal skills (thorough).AbstrakPembelajaran pada kurikulum 2013 memiliki salah satu komponen yaitu adanya bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan LKPD berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis pada konsep Protista. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain evaluasi formatif dari Tessmer Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang dikembangkan mengacu pada struktur LKPD menurut Daryanto & Dwicahyono, sedangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis nya mengacu pada Facione 1990. Subjek pada expert review terdiri atas tiga orang ahli, subjek pada one to one evaluation terdiri atas tiga orang peserta didik kelas X SMA dan subjek pada small group evaluation terdiri atas enam orang peserta didik kelas X SMA. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa: 1) LKPD memiliki kategori valid berdasarkan uji validitas; 2) LKPD memiliki kategori baik berdasarkan uji kepraktisan isi dan memiliki kategori sangat baik pada uji kepraktisan harapan berdasarkan respon peserta didik; dan 3) LKPD memiliki kategori sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada uji keefektifan serta memiliki kategori sangat baik pada keterampilan interpersonal (bekerja sama) dan keterampilan intrapersonal (teliti).
