Abstract

Effective learning is when students are actively involved in the learning process, so they can gain an understanding of the learning process carried out and can improve learning outcomes on the concept of learning. Archaebacteria and Eubacteria are biological concepts that are relatively difficult, abstract, and tend to memorize. Therefore research and development of fun learning media are carried out in the form of a Question Wheel game "KARUNIA". This research and development are to describe the validity of the "KARUNIA" Question Wheel learning media. This type of research is research and development with 4D models. This research is limited to the Develop stage. The results of research and development carried out on the "KARUNIA" Question Wheel learning media on the Archaebacteria and Eubacteria concepts are classified as very valid with a value of 88%.AbstrakPembelajaran yang efektif adalah apabila siswa ikut terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga dapat memperoleh pemahaman dari proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada konsep pembelajaran. Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria merupakan konsep Biologi yang relatif sulit, abstrak, dan cenderung menghafal. Maka dari itu dilakukan penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan berupa permainan Question Wheel “KARUNIA”. Tipe penelitian R&D ini untuk mendeskripsikan validitas media pembelajaran Question Wheel “KARUNIA”. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model 4D. Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap Develop (pengembangan). Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan pada media pembelajaran Question Wheel “KARUNIA” pada Konsep Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria tergolong sangat valid dengan nilai 88%.

Abstract

The community of Gunung Bunder Dua Village, Bogor Regency is one area that still has plant knowledge and local wisdom in their daily life. This research aims to reveal the local wisdom of Gunung Bunder Dua villagers, Bogor Regency. The method used in the form of direct observation in the field with interview by selected speaker. This research was conducted from 17th June to 17th July 2019 at the village of Gunung Bunder Dua, Bogor Regency, West Java. The observations recorded were 72 species and 40 plant families, with some varieties of uses, namely 19 species of food plants, 56 species of medicinal plants and 3 species of economic value plants. The  result of this reseach are used as source of biology learning such as a video containing ethnobotany information.Abstrak Masyarakat Desa Gunung Bunder Dua, Kabupaten Bogor termasuk salah satu daerah yang masih memiliki pengetahuan tumbuhan dan kearifan lokal dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap kearifan lokal masyarakat desa Gunung Bunder Dua, Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang dilakukan berupa observasi langsung di lapangan dengan wawancara kepada narasumber terpilih. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari tanggal 17 Juni – 17 Juli 2019 bertempat di Desa Gunung Bunder Dua, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Terdapat 72 spesies dan 40 famili tumbuhan, dengan beragam kegunaan yaitu tumbuhan pangan 19 spesies, tumbuhan obat 56 spesies, dan tumbuhan bernilai ekonomi sebanyak 3 spesies. Hasil penelitian ini dijadikan sumber belajar biologi berupa video yang berisikan informasi etnobotani.

Abstract

Learning outcomes have not achieved, there is no textbook that fits the distinction of the study program under the term medicinal herbs and integrated learning of Islamic values. So it is necessary to develop textbooks that are valid, effective, and practically used in learning. The research method used is Research & Development, in its development using the ADDIE model.The results derived from experts’ validation has shown that the validity of the textbook materials is in excellent or highly valid category (96.32%), the design is in authentic category (87.62%) and from the aspect of Islamic integration is in excellent or highly valid category (98.14%). The control class effectiveness was 52.3 which is classified into considerably success category and the experimental class effectiveness was 81.6 with an excellent category. The gain control class was 0.21 with low criteria and the experimental gain class value 0.71 with high criteria. The practicality of the textbook developed received a positive response from students on the large scale of the experimental class was 98.75% with very practical criteria. The textbooks developed are valid, effective and practical so that they are appropriate to be used in botanical course learning.AbstrakHasil pembelajaran belum tercapai, belum ada buku ajar yang sesuai distingsi program studi yaitu tentang tumbuhan obat dan pembelajaran terintegrasi nilai keislaman. Sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan buku ajar yang valid, efektif, dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research & Development, dalam pengembangannya menggunakan model ADDIE. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai kevalidan ahli materi 96,32% dengan kriteria sangat valid, ahli desain diperoleh 87,62% dengan kriteria valid, ahli integrasi keislaman diperoleh 98,14% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Efektivitas kelas kontrol sebesar 52,3 dengan kategori cukup baik dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,6 dengan kategori sangat baik. Nilai Gain kelas kontrol sebesar 0,21 dengan kriteria rendah dan N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,71 dengan kriteria tinggi. Kepraktisan buku ajar yang dikembangkan mendapatkan respon positif dari mahasiswa pada skala besar kelas eksperimen 98,75% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Buku ajar yang dikembangkan valid, efektif dan praktis sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran botani tumbuhan.

Abstract

Sekolah dengan sistem homeschooling membantu siswa meraih akademik dan interaksi sosial. Implementasi pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir analisis dan komunikasi setiap siswa, Salah satu cara yang tepat untuk menerapkan CIRC. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan analisis dan komunikasi siswa kelas XI Homeschooling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek adalah siswa homeschooling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Indikator kemampuan untuk menganalisis dan berkomunikasi dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) Model CIRC dapat meningkatkan keterampilan analitis siswa di kelas XI IPA. Rata-rata siklus 1 adalah 71 dan siklus 2 adalah 76,83, tetapi hanya satu siswa yang dikategorikan lulus sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan. 2) keterampilan komunikasi dikategorikan baik.

Abstract

Students are expecting to receive contextual material to make it easier for them to understand what they have learned. The solution to support this method is a teacher must make the teaching material with local wisdom. Booklet "Keanekaragaman Lepidoptera di Hutan Mangrof" is an example of a book containing material with insight into local potential. The existence of a pocketbook with local potential will expect to make students easier for learning because the small design makes the book practical for students to use. This study aims to evaluate the practicality of the Booklet "Keanekaragaman Lepidoptera di Hutan Mangrof." The research is development research with Tessmer's formative evaluation model that focuses on the practice of the developed Pocket Book. The technique of collecting data is with the practicality of pocketbook practicality tested by students in a small group test and the actual practicalities of data collection in a field test using a student response questionnaire. The data of the practicalities questionnaire instrument has filled in then analyzed quantitatively by calculating the total score for all indicators that then analyzed with a formula to find out the practicality value. Based on the results of the practicality test, it shows that the media developed are included in the category very practice.AbstrakSiswa diharapkan menerima materi yang bersifat kontekstual agar lebih memudahkan mereka memahami pembelajaran. Untuk menunjang materi diperlukan sebuah bahan ajar yang bermuatan potensi lokal. Buku saku Keanekaragaman Lepidoptera di Hutan Mangrof merupakan salah satu contoh buku yang berisikan materi berwawasan potensi lokal. Adanya buku saku yang bermuatan potensi lokal diharapkan dapat mempermudah siswa dalam belajar karena desainnya yang kecil akan membuat buku tersebut praktis digunakan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kepraktisan Buku Saku Keanekragaman Lepidoptera di Hutan Mangrof. Penelitian ini merupakan peneltian pengembangan dengan model evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang berfokus pada kepraktisan Buku Saku yang dikembangkan. Untuk. Teknik pengumpulan data kepraktisan harapan melalui angket uji kepraktisan buku saku oleh siswa pada uji kelompok kecil dan pengumpulan data kepraktisan aktual pada uji lapangan dengan menggunakan angket respon siswa. Data pada instrumen angket uji kepraktisan yang telah diisi kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan melakukan perhitungan skor total untuk seluruh indikator yang kemudian dianalisis dengan rumus untuk mengetahui nilai kepraktisannya. Berdasarkan hasil uji kepraktisan dapat diketahui bahwa media yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat Praktis.

Abstract

Media in biology learning is one of the means so that students understand the concept of biology in a broad sense. Most students still find it difficult to understand the concept of biology, especially in the Bryophytes sub-concept because of the lack of local potential-based references that are directly related to student life. This encourages researchers to develop learning media in the form of booklets on the Bryophytes sub-concept Plantae. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the validity of the Bryophytes booklet on the banks of the wisata alam Sungai Kembang as a high school learning medium for Grade X. This study used descriptive research methods and 4D model development methods. The validation test was carried out by experts consisting of 2 validators with an overall validity value of 84.21% with very valid criteria and suitable for use as a learning medium.Abstrak Media dalam pembelajaran Biologi merupakan salah satu sarana agar peserta didik memahami konsep pada Biologi secara luas. Kebanyakan peserta didik masih sulit untuk memahami konsep Biologi terutama pada sub konsep Bryophyta karena kurangnya referensi berbasis potensi lokal yang berkaitan langsung dengan kehidupan siswa. Hal tersebut mendorong peneliti untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa booklet materi Plantae sub konsep Bryophyta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil validitas booklet Bryophyta di bantaran sungai wisata alam Sungai Kembang sebagai media pembelajaran SMA untuk Kelas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan metode pengembangan model 4D. Uji validitas dilakukan oleh para ahli yang terdiri dari 2 validator dengan nilai validitas keseluruhan yaitu 84,21% dengan kriteria sangat valid dan layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media belajar.

Abstract

The species of shrimps in the estuarine areain Batanjung Village have great potential for the academic field, and have not been used as a supplementary module for Biologyon animalia concept, phylum Artrophoda in crustaceas class, for the tenth grade ofsenior high school. This research aims to produce avalid module for Biology on the shrimp species in the estuarine region of Batanjung Village for the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Basarang. Theresearch type used is Research and development (R & D). There are 9 steps in this activity.The result of the field research shows that there are 11 species of shrimps, namely Harpiosquilla raphideae. Peneaus monodon, Peneaus merguensis, Peneaus indicus, Peneaus Vanamae, Metapeneaus monoceros, Palaemon adpersus, Palaemon concinnus, Macrobrachium nipponse, Macrobrachium equidens, Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Furthermore, the species of shrimp were designed to be a supplementary module for Biology for the tenth grade of SMA. The teaching materialswere validated by three experts, and the legibility test were done by the tenth-grade students of SMAN-1 Basarang. The results of validity and legibility test shows that the created teaching materials can be used as the supplementary materials for Biology of the tenth grade of SMA.

Abstract

One of the problems of life that are happening right now is the problem in education. Three skills need to be improved including 1) the field of cognitive skills, 2) interpersonal skills, and 3) intrapersonal skills. The purpose of this study is to improve the Student Worksheet (LKPD) so that it has effective criteria. The use of LKPD in the learning process is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is the Tessmer design using a small group test. Critical thinking skills refer to Facione 1990 while the structure of LKPD development refers to Daryanto & Dwicahyono. The small group test subjects were six high school class XI students. This research is development research using Tessmer design. The study was conducted for one semester, namely in the 2019-2020 school year. The results showed that the effectiveness of LKPD based on the assessment of students' critical thinking skills in working on LKPD had a category of at least good, interpersonal skills had a very good category, and intrapersonal skills had a very good category.AbstrakSalah satu permasalahan kehidupan yang terjadi saat ini ialah permasalahan pada pendidikan. Terdapat 3 keterampilan yang perlu ditingkatkan diantaranya 1) bidang keterampilan kognitif, 2) keterampilan interpersonal, dan 3) keterampilan intrapersonal. Tujuanudariupenelitian ini ialah memperbaiki Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) sehingga memiliki kriteria efektif. Penggunaan LKPD dalam proses pembelajaran diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu desain Tessmer menggunakan uji kelompok kecil. Keterampilan berpikir kritis mengacu pada Facione 1990 sedangkan struktur pengembangan LKPD mengacu pada Daryanto & Dwicahyono. Subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah 6 orang peserta didik kelas XI jenjang SMA. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan desain Tessmer. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu semester yaitu pada tahun ajaran 2019-2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan LKPD berdasarkan penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mengerjakan LKPD memiliki kategori sekurang-kurangnya baik, keterampilan interpersonal memiliki kategori sangat baik, dan keterampilan intrapersonal memiliki kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Learning using popular scientific books based on the local potential of an area is one solution that can be used to overcome problems that often arise such as a lack of student reading interest due to boring teaching materials and learning media in Ethnobotany courses, especially in some ethnobotany studies that require students to interact directly with the community. This development research aims to describe the practicality of a popular scientific book prototype entitled " Etnobotani Tumbuhan Mangrove Genus Avicennia Desa Tabanio". The research method used is the development model by Plomp and Nieveen which is limited to the formative evaluation phase based on the Tessmer model. The results showed that the results of the feasibility test for popular scientific books got an average score of 88.9% with very good criteria and the results of student responses to popular scientific books got an average of 91.56% with criterion very agree This shows that the popular scientific book entitled "Ethnobotany of Mangrove Plants Genus Avicennia Desa Tabanio" is very practical to be used as an enrichment material in ethnobotany learning.Abstrak Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan buku ilmiah populer berdasarkan potensi lokal yang dimiliki sebuah daerah merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah yang sering muncul seperti kurangnya minat membaca mahasiswa karena bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran yang membosankan pada mata kuliah Etnobotani khususnya pada beberapa kajian etnobotani yang mengharuskan mahasiswa untuk berinteraksi langsung dengan masyarakat. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan prototipe buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul “Etnobotani Tumbuhan Mangrove Genus Avicennia Desa Tabanio” Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah model pengembangan oleh Plomp dan Nieveen yang dibatasi sampai pada fase evaluasi formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil uji keterlaksanaan buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 88.9% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil respond mahasiswa terhadap buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan rata-rata 91,56% dengan kriteris sangat setuju. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Etnobotani Tumbuhan Mangrove Genus Avicennia Desa Tabanio” sangat praktis digunakan sebagai bahan pengayaan dalam pembelajaran etnobotani.

Abstract

The evaluation of students' creative thinking has not been optimal, the use of books in the Higher Plant Botany course at the Biology Education Faculty of ULM in the Poaceae family sub-material based on creative thinking is still limited, so enrichment teaching materials are needed by utilizing local potential and using aspects of thinking creative. The scientific book development model adapted Tessmer's formative evaluation which was limited to self-evaluation, expert review of 3 ULM Master of Biology Education lecturers which included material experts, linguists and media experts, one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation which included 8 undergraduate students of Biology Education FKIP ULM who have passed the Higher Plant Botany course. The assessment given by experts to scientific books obtained valid criteria (3.59). Respondents' assessment of the practicality of the content obtained very good criteria (88.89%). Respondents' assessment of the practicality of expectations obtained very good criteria (83%). The observer's assessment on the fulfillment of expectations obtained very good criteria (82%). Assessment of the effectiveness of expectations obtained high criteria (80.80) and increased creative thinking skills at three meetings obtained moderate N-gain criteria. Scientific books are declared valid, practical and effective.Abstrak Belum optimalnya evaluasi berpikir kreatif mahasiswa, penggunaan buku pada mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi di S1 Pendidikan Biologi FKIP ULM pada sub-materi Famili Poaceae berbasis berpikir kreatif yang masih terbatas, sehingga diperlukan bahan ajar pengayaan dengan memanfaatkan potensi lokal dan menggunakan aspek-aspek berpikir kreatif. Model pengembangan buku ilmiah mengadaptasi evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang dibatasi hanya pada self evaluation, expert review dari 3 dosen Magister Pendidikan Biologi ULM yang meliputi ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media, one-to-one  evaluation dan small group evaluation yang meliputi 8 mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Biologi FKIP ULM yang telah lulus mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi. Penilaian yang diberikan ahli terhadap buku ilmiah memperoleh kriteria valid (3,59). Penilaian responden pada kepraktisan isi memperoleh kriteria yang sangat baik (88,89%). Penilaian responden pada kepraktisan harapan memperoleh kriteria sangat baik (83%). Penilaian observer pada keterlaksanaan harapan memperoleh kriteria sangat baik (82%).
