Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is felt in various sectors, including education, so that learning activities are limited by implementing online learning. Likewise with SMAN 06 Merangin. This study aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of online biology learning at SMAN 06 Merangin. The subject of this research is a biology teacher. Data was collected using interviews. Data analysis was performed using the Miles & Huberman analysis technique. The results of research on the implementation of blood-based biology learning at SMAN 06 Merangin show that (1) the lesson planning is carried out, namely: determining the application, recording conditions and student phone numbers, preparing online learning tools; (2) implementation of online learning, namely preliminary activities in the form of filling in attendance via Google Form, Google Classroom or Whatsapp and submitting learning objectives to Google Classroom or Whatsapp. The core activities are in the form of delivering material, question and answer sessions via Classroom or Whatsapp. Closing activities in the form of drawing conclusions and assignments; (3) evaluations of online learning, namely, assessment of knowledge seen from the results of assignments, discussion of questions, and online exams. Skills assessment is seen from the results of project assignments and online practicum. Meanwhile, the attitude value is seen from the presence. Weak supervision of students, lack of strong signals in remote areas, and not all students have Gadgets are obstacles in the implementation of online biology learning at SMAN 06 Merangin. AbstrakDampak pandemi Covid-19 sangat terasa pada berbagai sektor, termasuk pendidikan, sehingga pembatasan aktivitas pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pembelajaran daring. Begitu juga dengan SMAN 06 Merangin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran biologi secara daring di SMAN 06 Merangin. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru biologi. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran biologi berbasis daring di SMAN 06 Merangin menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perencanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan meliputi: menentukan aplikasi, pendataan kondisi dan nomor telepon siswa, menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran daring; (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring terdiri dari kegiatan pendahuluan berupa mengisi absensi melalui Google Form, Google Classroom  atau Whatsapp dan penyampaian tujuan pembelajaran pada Google Classroom atau Whatsapp. Kegiatan inti meliputi penyampaian materi, sesi tanya jawab melalui Classroom  atau Whatsapp. Kegiatan penutup berupa penarikan kesimpulan dan penugasan; (3) evaluasi pembelajaran daring meliputi, penilaian pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap. Nilai pengetahuan diperoleh dari penilaian tugas, diskusi dan ujian online. Nilai keterampilan diperoleh dari tugas proyek dan praktikum Online. Sedangkan nilai sikap dilihat dari presensi. Lemahnya pengawasan terhadap siswa, kurang kuatnya sinyal di daerah pelosok dan tidak semua siswa memiliki Gadget menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran biologi secara daring di SMAN 06 Merangin.

Abstract

Jumlah mahasiwa di program studi biologi berjumlah 35 orang yang terdiri dari 91,43% berasal dari lulusan kelas IPA, 8,57% dari lulusan kelas non IPA (keagamaan, adminstrasi, IPS). Keterampilan Proses Sains yang dimiliki mahasiswa tersebut belum maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan data yang akan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diukur secara kategorikal. Data penelitian berupa nilai tes keterampilan proses sains yang diambil dari nilai hasil belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Biologi Umum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan KPS yang dimiliki mahasiswa cukup memuaskan yaitu pada aspek mengamati/ observasi sebesar 65,23% kategori “baik”, mengklasifikasi sebesar 69,28% kategori “baik”, menafsirkan data sebesar 64,20% kategori “baik”, meramalkan/memprediksi sebesar 60,43% kategori “cukup”, berhipotesis sebesar 41,50% kategori “cukup”, menganalisis sebesar 67,25% kategori “baik”, merencanakan percobaan/penelitian sebesar 41,50% pada kategori “cukup”, menggunakan alat/bahan sebesar 41,50% kategori “cukup”, menerapkan konsep sebesar 41,50% kategori “cukup”, dan berkomunikasi sebesar 41,50% kategori “cukup”.

Abstract

Learning in the 2013 curriculum requires a learning process that refers to the scientific approach. The teacher becomes the centre of learning in the current educational problems, students accepting learning as an abstract does not have the opportunity to develop their thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to develop a valid, practical, and effective Educator Worksheet (LKPD). This study uses the Tessmer design method, which consists of (1) expert review; (2) one-to-one; and (3) small group. Subjects of expert opinion research included two biology education lecturers and one high school biology teacher. Individual test subjects were three students educated. The small group test subjects were six students who were educated. The type of data obtained includes data effectiveness expectations. The results obtained from the effectiveness of expectations based on students' critical thinking skills in working on LKPD have very good categories (including analysis, reference, and exploration) and have good categories (including interpretation and self-regulation). Interpersonal skills (collaborating) and intrapersonal skills (conscientious) students have very good categories with scores of interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills 86.33%.AbstrakPembelajaran pada Kurikulum 2013 menuntut adanya proses pembelajaran yang mengacu pada pendekatan saintifik. Guru menjadi pusat pembelajaran pada persoalan pendidikan yang terjadi saat ini, peserta didik menerima pembelajaran secara abstrak tidak memiliki kesempatan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikirnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain Tessmer, yang terdiri dari: 1) expert review; 2) one-to-one; dan 3) small group. Subjek penelitian pendapat pakar meliputi dua orang dosen pendidikan biologi dan satu orang guru biologi SMA. Subjek uji perorangan adalah tiga orang peserta didik. Subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah enam orang peserta didik. Jenis data yang didapatkan meliputi data keefektifan harapan. Hasil didapatkan dari keefektifan harapan berdasarkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mengerjakan LKPD memiliki kategori sangat baik (meliputi analisis, inferensi, dan eksplanasi) serta memiliki kategori baik (meliputi interpretasi dan pengaturan diri). Keterampilan interpersonal (bekerjasama) dan keterampilan intrapersonal (teliti) peserta didik memiliki kategori sangat baik dengan skor keterampilan interpersonal dan keterampilan intrapersonal 86,33%.

Abstract

The crabs are organisms that have a major role in the mangrove ecosystem. The preservation of the mangrove ecosystem cannot be separated from the roles and responsibilities of humans. This can be started by creating awareness and practicing thinking skills to provide solutions to various existing environmental problems. According to the results of the TIMSS study, the low scientific ability of Indonesian students, especially its implementation in the form of scientific literacy, has not shown a good improvement so that learning innovations are needed, one of which is the manufacture of environment-based teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to describe the practicality of the teaching materials "Crab Types in the Mangroves Area" in training students' critical thinking skills at MAN Tanah Laut. The type of research used is the Tessmer formative test. The research data were analyzed descriptively, practical data included the feasibility of using teaching material and student responses, indicating that the teaching materials developed were practical for use in learning and could improve the critical thinking skills of MA students.Abstrak Kepiting merupakan organisme yang memiliki peran besar dalam ekosistem mangrof. Kelestarian ekosistem mangrof tidak luput dari peran dan tanggung jawab manusia. Hal ini dapat dimulai dari menciptakan kesadaran dan melatih keterampilan berpikir agar dapat memberikan solusi-solusi dari berbagai permasalahan lingkungan yang ada.  Hasil studi TIMSS menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan sains siswa Indonesia terutama implementasinya dalam bentuk literasi sains belum menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang baik sehingga diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran salah satunya dengan pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan Bahan Ajar “Jenis Kepiting di Kawasan Mangrof” dalam melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa MAN Tanah Laut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji formatif Tessmer. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif, data kepraktisan meliputi kepraktisan penggunaan bahan ajar dan respon siswa, menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa MA.

Abstract

Learning is currently using the scientific approach, through direct interaction with lea rning resources. The educator or teacher at the school are expected to use appropriate learning resources. Local potentials that are spread around in the form of learning resources should be of concern to organized, so empowering positive for all students' learning. Not much research to develop teaching materials based on local potential. The amount of biological material that can not be observed directly, such as materials about protists, monera, one-celled animals, make the learners have difficulty to understanding. Research types of phytoplankton can be used as a learning resource to overcome these problems. This research aims to (1) Produce teaching materials of research types of phytoplankton in Panjaratan River (2) Examine the feasibility of teaching materials that are based on research on the type Phytoplankton Panjaratan River. The results showed (1) teaching materials produced are teaching materials enrichment entitled Type Phytoplankton in the River Panjaratan, consisting of 3 BAB, teaching materials prepared in accordance competencies and according to the terms of teaching materials quality that meets aspects of the display, the aspect of the presentation of the material and aspects of language , (2) Eligibility teaching materials in the river Panjaratan Phytoplankton type of expert validation result is quite valid with an average score of 80,43%, readability test students strongly agree with the assessment statement as much as 53,1%, 45,03%  agree and 1,87% disagree . Assessment of teachers partners on quite valid with an average score of 76,12%. Results responses of teachers and students each showed a good response. Learning outcomes after using teaching materials in the river Phytoplankton type Panjaratan increase seen from the posttest and normality test Gain (n-gain) with an average value of 83,7 and a gain of 0,81 postest with high improvement category.

Abstract

One of the problems faced in education in the 21st century is the critical thinking skills of students who are still considered lacking. One of the learning tools that need to be improved to help improve students' critical thinking skills is the Student Worksheet (LKPD). This study aims to describe the effectiveness of LKPD on the concept of Structure and Function of Plant Tissue Based on Critical Thinking Skills. The validation subjects were 3 experts, individual test subjects were 3 high school class XI students and small group test subjects were 6 class XI high school students. This type of research is development research to produce valid, practical, and effective products. The results showed that the effectiveness of LKPD expectations based on the assessment of students' critical thinking skills in working on LKPD had both categories (including interpretation, analysis, inference, and explanation) and very good categories (including self-regulation). Interpersonal skills (collaborating) and intrapersonal skills (meticulous) students have very good categories.AbstrakSalah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pendidikan pada abad ke-21 ialah  keterampilan berpikir kiritis (KBK) peserta didik yang dianggap masih kurang. Salah satu perangkat pembelajaran yang perlu diperbaiki untuk membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik ialah Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan LKPD pada konsep Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan Tumbuhan Berbasis Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis. Validator adalah 3 orang ahli, subjek uji perorangan adalah 3 orang peserta didik kelas XI jenjang SMA dan subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah 6 orang peserta didik kelas XI jenjang SMA. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan untuk menghasilkan produk yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan harapan LKPD berdasarkan penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mengerjakan LKPD memiliki kategori baik (meliputi interpretasi, analisis, inferensi dan eksplanasi) dan kategori sangat baik (meliputi pengaturan diri). Keterampilan interpersonal (bekerjasama) dan keterampilan intrapersonal (teliti) peserta didik memiliki kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This development research is intended to describe the results of the development of a popular scientific book on shrimp species in the coastal waters of Tabanio, including validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The development design used was a design of Tessmer adaptation, including self-evaluation, expert testing, individual testing, and only up to small group tests. The object of research was a popular scientific book developed. Simultaneously, the research subjects consisted of 3 lecturers of Master Education of Biology, Lambung Mangkurat University, and five senior high school students of Abdul Kadir Panyipatan. Data were collected using the techniques of observation, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed that a popular scientific book was declared very valid based on expert validation results, while based on individual tests, the popular scientific book was declared very good. The popular science book that has been developed was considered practical because the results of student responses are 96.5% with very practical criteria. The result of the implementation of the popular science book was an average of 93.3%. The popular scientific book was declared effective because students' critical thinking skills increased in the Small Group, with 94.5% and N-Gain of 0.8 on high criteria. This popular scientific book has a systematic and structured writing flow. This book contains a discussion with high values of local potential. The design used is simple but easy to understand, and includes species identification, and displays original images taken directly from the coastal forest of Tabanio. All of these are the hallmarks of this popular science book.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan pengembangan buku ilmiah populer jenis udang di perairan pesisir Tabanio. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp dan Nieveen yang dibatasi pada tahap prototyping phase dimana evaluasi formatif berdasarkan Tessmer yang terdiri dari evaluasi diri, pendapat ahli, uji perorangan, dan hanya sampai uji kelompok kecil. Objek dalam penelitian ini ialah buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan, sedangkan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 dosen Magister Pendidikan Biologi ULM dan 5 siswa SMA Abdul Kadir  Panyipatan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan buku ilmiah populer dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, sedangkan berdasarkan uji perorangan buku ilmiah populer ini dinyatakan sangat baik. Buku ilmiah populer yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan praktis karena hasil respon siswa sebesar 96,5% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan hasil keterlaksanaan Buku ilmiah populer rata-rata 93,3%. Buku ilmiah populer dinyatakan efektif karena hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mengalami peningkatan pada Small Group dengan rata-rata 94,5% dan N-Gain sebesar 0,8 pada kriteria tinggi. Oleh karena itu, buku ilmiah populer “Jenis Udang di Perairan Pesisir Tabanio” ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengayaan untuk melatihkan kemampuan  berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

Abstract

Competition in the field of education globally is increasingly competitive, but it has not been directly proportional to the development of education in several regions in Indonesia. Students still have difficulty in critical thinking, including the concept of classification of living things, because the teaching materials used are not fully related to the experience and environment of students. This study aims to develop teaching materials for the concept of classification of living things based on local potential. The development is carried out using Tessmer's formative model which includes five stages; 1) self-evaluation (self-evaluation); 2) expert opinion (expert review); 3) Individual trial (one to one); 4) small group trial; and 5) field test. The results showed that by developing a prototype of contextual teaching materials based on local advantages, it was able to increase students' interest, activity, and thinking skills which could be measured by increasing their learning outcomes.Abstrak Persaingan di bidang pendidikan secara global semakin kompetitif, namun belum berbanding lurus dengan perkembangan pendidikan di beberapa daerah di Indonesia. Peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam berpikir kritis, diantaranya pada konsep klasifikasi makhluk hidup, karena bahan ajar yang digunakan belum sepenuhnya berkaitan dengan pengalaman dan lingkungan hidup peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengambangan bahan ajar konsep klasifikasi makhluk hidup berbasis potensi lokal. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model formatif Tessmer yang meliputi lima tahapan; 1) evaluasi diri (self-evaluation); 2) pendapat pakar (expert review); 3) Uji coba perorangan (one to one); 4) uji coba kelompok kecil (small group); dan 5) uji lapangan (field test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan dilakukan pengembangan prototype bahan ajar kontekstual berbasis keunggulan lokal mampu meningkatkan minat, aktivitas, dan kemampuan berpikir siswa yang dapat diukur diantaranya dengan meningkatnya hasil belajarnya.

Abstract

Implementation of the 2013 curriculum has generally used recommended models, but the role of the work-sheets used in the learning process still does not facilitate students' critical thinking skills. The research aims to evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the development worksheets on the microbial concepts based on urban wetlands to improve students' critical thinking skills. The development of work-sheets was carried out in 2 phases; preliminary research phase and prototype phase using the Tessmer design. Content validation uses a validation assessment sheet instrument. The practicality data of the contents was using an assessment sheet instrument on the worksheet structure. Practicality data (expectations and actual) were collected using a practicality sheet instrument obtained from students' responses to the contents of the worksheet. Effectiveness data (expectations and actual) are obtained based on the results of critical thinking skills, interpersonal skills (cooperation), and intra-personal skills (responsible). Data analysis techniques by calculating the percentage of validation refer to Akbar (2017), practicality test, and effectiveness test with criteria referring to Purwanto (2012). The results showed that worksheets for students were valid and were practical for users with the practicality of contents and practicality of expectations is good. Work-sheets was declared to be effectively used based on the results of the critical thinking skills, interpersonal skills (collaboration), and intra-personal skills (meticulous), and the value of the effectiveness of expectations is good categories too.AbstrakImplementasi Kurikulum 2013 umumnya telah menggunakan model-model yang direkomendasikan, namun peran LKPD yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran masih belum memfasilitasi keterampilan berpikir kritis (KBK) peserta didik. Penelitian bertujuan mengevaluasi validitas, kepraktisan,dan  keefektifan LKPD hasil pengembangan pada konsep-konsep dunia mikroba berbasis lahan basah perkotaan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Pengembangan LKPD dilakukan 2 fase;  fase penelitian pendahuluan dan fase prototipe dengan menggunakan desain Tessmer. Validasi isi menggunakan instrumen lembar penilaian validasi. Data kepraktisan isi menggunakan instrumen lembar penilaian terhadap struktur LKPD. Data kepraktisan (harapan dan actual) dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen lembar kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari respon peserta didik terhadap isi LKPD. Data keefektifan (harapan dan aktual) diperoleh berdasarkan hasil KBK, keterampilan inter-personal (kerjasama) dan keterampilan intra-personal (bertanggung jawab). Teknik analisis data dengan menghitung persentase validasi mengacu pada Akbar (2017), uji kepraktisan dan uji keefektifan dengan kriteria mengacu pada Purwanto (2012). Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa LKPD valid, namun LKPD yang dikembangkan praktis digunakan dengan kepraktisan isi dan kepraktisan harapan yang berkategori baik. LKPD dinyatakan efektif  digunakan berdasarkan hasil KBK, keterampilan inter-personal (kerjasama), dan keterampilan intra-personal (teliti) maupun nilai keefektifan harapan juga berkategori baik.

Abstract

Interactive learning resources contribute to the success of the learning process and students' critical thinking skills but have not been developed equally in every subject. This study aims to obtain the practicality of Macromedia Flash in improving the critical thinking skills of Kurau 1 State Senior High School students. This type of research is a Tessmer formative test with research subjects of 30 students of Kurau 1 State Senior High School. The research data were analyzed descriptively, practicality data included the use of instructional media and student responses, showing that Macromedia Flash was developed practical for used in learning and could improve the critical thinking skills of senior high school students.AbstrakSumber belajar interaktif memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesuksesan proses pembelajaran dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, akan tetapi belum dikembangkan secara merata pada setiap mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kepraktisan Macromedia Flash dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMAN 1 Kurau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji formatif Tessmer dengan subjek penelitian 30 siswa SMAN 1 Kurau. Data penelitian dianalisa secara diskriptif, data kepraktisan meliputi keterlaksanaan penggunaan media pembelajaran dan respon siswa, menunjukkan bahwa Macromedia Flash yang dikembangkan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA.
