Abstract

Today's urban society is inclined to buy practical, ready-to-cook food and ready to eat. Ready of cook means thatit takes less time to prepare food. One form of food that is ready to cook is a nugget. Fish nuggets are very easy to processand the raw material of tuna is easily obtained in Lere urban village. aims to empower communities around the campuswith a commercial business orientation and accelerated the development, coaching, creati on of network marketing results,continuously. Using Community Education methods with Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA/ RRA), training methods,demonstration experiments, and coaching and evaluation of small business partner groups. The demonstrationdemonstration demonstration demplot was conducted with the introduction of technology covering fish nugget processingtechnology. The result of this training activity is the Improvement of ability in running the partner business through thetraining activity that is held. Increasing the capability and income of community partners activities with the existence offish processing technology into nugget is one of food diversification and food preservation

Abstract

Access to the Internet, as well as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in general, is nowincreasingly needed by the wider community, including by the pesantren community. The community of pesantren needInternet media to expand access to sources of knowledge, publish the activities of pesantren, as well as a medium ofpesantren da?wah in cyberspace. Due to the lack of use of ICT in pesantren, then not all ICT components can be utilized.This community service partner is Pesantren Yasin Kudus, who wants to apply ICT to support learning for students(called santri), by providing smooth and healthy Internet access at affordable cost. The problem faced is Internet accessthat only depends on one Internet Service Provider (ISP), so if the connection on the ISP is failed then Internet accessbecomes disturbed. The solution offered is the use of two ISP connections as an Internet access network, by applying loadbalancing technology using Per Connection Classifier (PCC) method so that loading of traffic on both ISPs can bebalanced. With this program, partners can utilize Internet access from both ISPs optimally

Abstract

Feed and animal waste aspects are an important component and become the main problem of beef farmers inBantaeng District. The potential of agricultural and livestock waste is very large, however, until now has not been fullyutilized. The objective of this activity is to increase the capacity of beef farmers to utilize the potential of agricultural andlivestock waste into feed and organic fertilizer products. In addition, it is ?Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi?. The ?Ipteksbagi Masyarakat (IbM)? programs become one of the solution to the problem. IbM programs for beef farmers has beenimplemented in Ulugalung village, Eremerasa Sub-district, Bantaeng District, South Sulawesi province. Partners of beeffarmer group involved are Livestock Farmer Group (LFG) "Samaturu" and "Cappa Buri". The method of application oftechnology program was implemented in the form of training program and technology assistance. Some of the technologypackages that have been implemented are: 1) straw ammoniac technology processing, 2) complete silage fermentationtechnology, 3) liquid organic fertilizer manufacturing technology (biourin) and local microorganism manufacturingtechnology (MOL) and 4) Urea Molasses Block (UMB) supplement feeding technology. The results of the activities canincrease the capacity of partner members in processing agricultural and livestock waste as animal feed and organicfertilizer

Abstract

The art of chisel mask is developed in Tumpang Malang area as part of dance costume fairs, puppet show andcultural ritual, although in its development, this mask sculpture is also sold and become a tourism commodity. The potentialsales of mask sculptures is increasing, especially because of the demanders are foreign tourists, cultural enthusiasts andcomponent of tourism activities. That is, Topeng Malangan has the potential to be developed as an export commodity. Thesales system is still limited to cultural events or when there is a visit of education and tourism to the arts-padepokan. Thisprompted some people around the padepokan to start a home industry to meet the availability of the mask. In general, theproblems encountered by the craftsmen are (1) availability of raw materials, especially for suitable wood species, (2)production equipment, especially for pre-carving process and preservation of product, (3) there is no standard marketingscheme, (4) does not have a business management system, and (5) highly skilled craftsmen are still very limited. The solutionsoffered are divided into three stages: (1) technological strengthening, including strengthening production process technologyand increasing the number of craftsmen; (2) establishing business management; and (3) establishing trademarks, copyrightsand product marketing expansions

Abstract

The results of situational analysis were identified the product of shrimp paste produced by the partners of thiscommunity service activity has covered the region of Aceh and Sumatera, some cities in Java Island, and even toMalaysia. Unfortunately their products do not yet have a brand, good packaging design and business legality. Thiscommunity service activity aims to accompany the micro-business of shrimp-processing paste in Simpang Lhee Village inthe making of better brand and packaging design as an effort to strengthen their product competitiveness, and IUMKregistration as proof of the legality of business activity concerned. The implementation of activities begins withconsultation at Geuchik and Director of BUMG Simpang Lhee; then do socialization about the importance of businessbrand and good packaging design on product to the partners of activities;and, accompany partners to fulfill therequirement in handling IUMK business. The main output of this community sevice activity is the existence of businessbrand, better packaging design and IUMK registered number has been obtained as a sign of business legality, as astrengthening of the competitiveness of shrimp paste products belonging to each partner of this activities

Abstract

This independent community service activity is entitled the assistance of french travelers visits culture in theVillage of Arts and Culture Jelekong Bale Endah - Bandung. The head of the PPM and members of PPM were acted asFrench interpreter at various activities in the village of GiriHarja or better known as Village of Jelekong. The mainobjective of this activity is to introduce of Arts and culture village of Jelekong as potential tourism assets to Frenchtourists. With this activity, Jelekong is expected  as a center of art and culture which can not only preserve Sundaneseculture but can also be more widely known and be able to develop a variety of artistic and cultural potential that alreadyexists. The activities that have been done are Sundanese culinary cooking demonstrations, painting workshop, Jaipongworkshop, and martial arts workshop. These activities are considered successful because of Jelekong people and Frenchtourist?s participation were high enough in series of activities

Abstract

The development of plant cultivation technology is now growing rapidly. One of the new technologies is thetechnology of cultivation of plants without soil or by using hydroponic system. Many types of hydroponics as we know, one ofwhich is Nutrient Film Technique (NFT). The purpose of this activity is to introduce the renewable technol ogy of tomato cultivation to the community, so that people's knowledge about the new technology of tomato cultivation will increase. Thisactivity was conducted in Arjasari Village, Arjasari, Bandung City, with the method are survey and socialization of theintroduction of tomato cultivation technology through the NFT system to the community. The results showed that prior to thesocialization of NFT, the knowledge of the community in Arjasari about NFT technology for cultivation is still low, almost70% of respondents do not know the cultivation of plants in NFT or cultivation of plants without soil. They only know thecultivation of plants on the soil. With this socialization, there has an increased of knowledge and interest of the community todo cultivation of plants in NFT. 100% of respondents showed a desire to try cultivation of plants in NFT

Abstract

This program is designed to answer the problem of unavailability of potential human resources in processingand utilizing the potential of local raw materials as a business that can be developed to increase the income of localfarmers. With the implementation of this pioner program, the training is designed, Establishment of Joint Business Group"KUBE" and Opening and expanding partner marketing network for farmer group of Sungai Lueng village "TunasHarapan" and farmer group "Karya Bersama" Sukarejo village. Training materials include processing of nipah productssuch as dodol products, candied nipah, and nipah fruit syrup. The whole process of science and technology transferplanned to be implemented with the pattern of education and training and mentoring which include: socialization,training, and assistance to farmer groups of Sungai Lueng village "Tunas Harapan" and farmers group "KaryaBersama" Sukarejo village

Abstract

Ginger farmers in the Junrejo village, Junrejo sub district, Batu,  generally sell ginger in fresh form which hasa risk of low profit.  Storage of fresh ginger for a long time can reduce the content of essential oils resulting in decreasedquality and selling value.  One of techniques that can be used to minimize the risk is to process the fresh ginger into theessential oils. The purpose of this program was to provide counseling about post-harvest handling of ginger and trainingof fresh ginger processing into essential oils with distillation techniques. The target of this program was to improve skillsof  ginger farmers to distillate fresh ginger rhizome into essential oil. During the training, farmers showed enthusiasmand high spirits in following the training phase. The results of calculation of essential oil content of two types of freshginger used in the training was 0.15% in emprit ginger and 0.2% in red ginger. The results of laboratory analysis ofessential oil characteristic of ginger emprit  showed that the emprit ginger produced by Junrejo village farmers consisted of acid value, specific gravity (at 250C) and refractive index (at 250C) of 0.98% ; 1.498; and 0.98, respectively
