Abstract

In Magetan the number of gadget use and gadget dependence on children is relatively high. The results of a 2019 study showed that most children play gadgets for 5-10 minutes without their parents' assistance. A small number of children play traditional games, watch TV and play at home. The results of the preliminary interviews show that the majority of children are not familiar with board games, some do but have never played them. Some parents never buy toys for their children because according to them, children play enough at school. On the other hand, stimulating the growth and development of children is the responsibility of the community so that parents must be involved and participate and be active in its implementation. Data from the Magetan Health Office shows that part of the stimulation of development has been carried out by mothers for their children. From the results of the interviews it was found that 54.5% of mothers stimulated by inviting them to sing, ride bicycles, but not regularly every day, when they are free while watching TV. Some other mothers never do stimulation because they don't know how to do it so that their children develop as they are. To increase community participation, the solutions offered are counseling, outreach, training for mothers of toddlers, and health cadres. This activity collaborated with village midwives, health centers and facilitators from universities. The main objective of the activity is to use the media to play board games in order to reduce gadget dependence on children. The fundamental contribution of this activity is increasing the application of science and technology in the community, increasing understanding and skills of the community. The community can realize that there are health problems that must be handled independently as early as possible.

Abstract

Exhibition is a sub-sector of the creative economy and part of the tourism industry that developed well in Indonesia before Covid-19. Exhibition activities, which were actually gathering large numbers of people, became one of the industries hardest hit and even stopped completely, even though alternative technologies that facilitated online meetings began to develop at that time. Currently, after the handling of Covid-19 has improved considerably, the concept of hybrid exhibitions has begun to emerge and provides an alternative for industry players in conducting exhibitions. Unfortunately, many industry players do not understand how the concept of hybrid exhibitions does not try to completely replace conventional exhibitions. In addition, there is a need for training and guidance that will facilitate industry players in carrying out hybrid exhibitions. Community Service with this community partnership program (PKM) scheme helps ASPERAPI (Exhibition Organizer Association) DPD West Java as a partner in making Hybrid Exhibition Organizing Guidelines and training its members. Another objective is to provide additional skills and knowledge for ASPERAPI members in facing the challenges of present and future exhibition activities. The challenges facing partners today are how to restore business while at the same time reaching more audiences by utilizing hybrid technology/applications. The implementation method is mentoring, training and making guides with the outputs of intellectual property rights and scientific articles and service articles as activity reports.

Abstract

Waste cooking oil is heated at a high temperature of 160-250°C for a long time, causing oxidation, hydrolysis, and polymerization to produce ketones, aldehydes, and polymers that are detrimental to human health. Therefore, it is not recommended for reuse. Waste cooking oil in Amol Village was abundant and accommodated, often used repeatedly and then dumped into the environment without any further treatment. The initial survey showed that most of Amol Village's people do not yet know about the dangers of reusing used cooking oil or the dangers to the environment. On the other hand, high free fatty acids have the potential to be converted into soap through the saponification process with a base. Thus, the socialization of the dangers of waste cooking oil for human health and the environment and training on making solid soap from used cooking oil was carried out in Amol Village to assist the community in dealing with used cooking oil waste and save spending on soap purchases. Problem-solving was carried out through several stages of activities, namely observation, preparatory activities, socialization; manufacture of solid soap product from used cooking oil. Those stages were carried out through demonstrations and practices independently by participants, followed by monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The knowledge and skills of participants have been improved, regarding to handling the used cooking oil and its processing into solid soap.

Abstract

The beef cattle population in Bacukiki District experienced a low growth rate from 2015 to 2019. This was due to the absence of an empowerment program or model of cooperation that brought together relevant stakeholders and the lack of information regarding beef cattle farming technology. Farmers really need an increase in livestock and institutional capacity through technological innovation in overcoming problems and utilizing the potential of available regional resources. The Hasanuddin University Community Service Program-Partnership-Community Program (PPMU-PK-M) which was held at the Liae Livestock Farmers Group, Watang Bacukiki Village aims to increase the capacity of farmers through training. There were two solutions offered in this activity: 1) conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGD) in order to apply the Quadruple Helix concept and 2) providing technical training related to Good Breeding Practice in terms of feed management and processing. The results of the FGD were in the form of agreements and consolidation regarding the application of the Quadruple Helix model and the role of each stakeholder. Farmers carefully and enthusiastically participated in feed processing technology training in an effort to achieve Good Breeding Practice. The application of the Quadruple Helix model in Bali cattle breeding can support the achievement of Good Breeding Practice in Parepare City so that it can become a model for other areas in the vicinity.
