Abstract

In 2017, there were 26,540 drug users in Riau Islands. 3 out of 10 people who undergo rehabilitation has experienced relapse. If drug users can use coping strategies effectively, self-efficacy or confidence can develop well. The implication is that drug users can control themselves so as not to relapse. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between coping strategies and self-efficacy of drug users during rehabilitation. This research is correlational research. The instruments used in this study were the coping scale and self-efficacy. These instruments were used after being tested and declared as valid and reliable. The sample in this study were 35 people who were undergoing a program in the primary program and re-entry program at the Rehabilitation Workshop in BNN Batam which taken by cluster random sampling technique. The findings of this study are (1) the majority of the coping strategies of respondents are at a moderate level with a percentage of 88.57%; (2) the majority of respondents have high level self-efficacy with a percentage of 80%; and (3) there is a relationship between coping strategies and drug users' self-efficacy during the rehabilitation period with p value 0,011. It is expected that drug rehabilitation institutions can increase the level of coping strategies and self-efficacy of drug users in the rehabilitation period by teaching the coping skills and relapse prevention as well as exploring sources of self-efficacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the difference in problem-solving skills in social arithmetic material is reviewed from the learning style and which learning style has the best problem solving ability. The type of research used is the QUASI experiment. This study was conducted at MTS Putri NW Narmada 2018/2019 school year. The population in this study is all students of MTS Putri NW Narmada. Sampling techniques using Cluster Random Sampling, the sample used is Class VII F. Data collected with tests and tested with ANAVA one way. The results of the study stated that: Students with auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic learning styles have different mathematical problem solving skills. To further need a further test post Anava with Scheffe method. From the average comparison test results The average between the row and the column obtained the conclusion as follows: (1) in a double-comparison test between students with visual and auditory learning style of Ho received. Because Ho is accepted, students who have a visual and auditory learning style have the same problem solving skills. 2 In the double comparison test between students with auditory and kinaesthetic learning style is accepted by Ho. Since Ho is accepted, students with kinaesthetic and auditory learning styles have the same problem solving skills. 3 In the double comparison test between students with visual and kinaesthetic learning Styles Ho was rejected. Because Ho is rejected, there is a difference in problem solving skills between students with kinaesthetic learning style with students of visual learning style.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of android applications as a medium of mathematics learning in Indonesian educational institutions using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) method both among teachers in delivering mathematical material and students in experimenting or completing school assignments. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a four option Likert Scale questionnaire as a research instrument. Surveys were deployed using the Google Form-based Black Box system throughout Indonesia through Social Media. Based on the results of data analysis obtained information that the application of android applications as a learning media for mathematics in Indonesia is still below 50%. The effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence on behavioral intention is illustrated by the regression equation Y1 while facilitating the regression equation Y2 represents conditions and behavioral intention towards use behavior.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of role playing methods on the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students in Christian education subjects, as an effort to counter zeitgeist of self-centered. Role playing method can give a strong and durable sense of learning in the students' memories, be a fun learning experience that is difficult to forget, make the classroom atmosphere more dynamic and enthusiastic, arouse passion and spirit in students and foster togetherness, allow students to plunge into the role of something that will be discussed in the learning process. This study is a quantitative research, with simple linier regression. Respondents are students of Public Junior High School 1 Wagir. From field trials and data processing that role playing implementation models have an impact of 34.8% while 65.2% are influenced by other factors. It is recommended role playing method as one of the appropriate method and practices in Christian education.

Abstract

This research is concerned with The Effect of Outdoor Classroom Activity to the Writing Skill for student’s English department Universitas of Dharmas Indonesia. The objective of this research is to find out whether there is a significant difference in teaching writing skills between the students who are taught by using outdoor classroom activity and those who are not taught by using outdoor classroom activity. The implement of outdoor classroom activity in teaching learning process especially in writing skills can be assumed students' knowledge through the solid situation such as caring students outdoor the classroom so that the students can analyze their minds through what they observe and examine precisely. Hence, this research used an experimental research that was taken at first semester students' English Department. The experimental research involved two classes of students. The sample of this research was taken randomly. Both classes were provide pre-test and post-test. Next, the students of the group were learned by proving outdoor classroom activity at the same time the control group is learned beyond outdoor classroom activity. The occur of this research, as chases: The analysis occur of the experimental class offers that the mean count of the pre-test is 45.47 and the means count of the post-test is 71.82. Abstract

The material in mathematics learning is considered boring and monotonous. This proves that there are students who have not been able to reach the minimum success rate. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to know the increased motivation and learning outcomes of students through Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research is a class action research implemented over two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, action, observation, and reflection phases. The research instruments used are observation sheets, tests, and polls. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. While data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the action showed an increase in motivation and student learning outcomes through the implementation of a problem based learning (PBL).  The student's learning motivation increased 75% well-endowed in cycle I increased to 87.5% which was very well-endowed in cycle II. While the results of learning in pre-action, the learners showed an average of 78.20 increased to 81.05 in cycle I, and increased to 88.50 in cycle II. The conclusion of this study is problem based learning (PBL) can significantly increase the motivation and learning outcomes of students

Abstract

The ability to read, in this case is the ability to understand English-language texts (reading comprehension), is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in a college. This relates to their academic activities that require them to struggle to find sources to support lecture activities. The number of reference sources is present in the form of articles, books, journals and proceedings which are often written in English. Interviews were conducted with several students of University of AMIKOM Purwokerto, Department of Informatics, finding out how to overcome the problem, and trying to provide alternative improvements. To overcome the difficulties experienced by students in reading English texts are by discussing a method of learning reading comprehension. This research is a descriptive study, which describes the facts of difficulties experienced by students in the difficulty of understanding the English text. The instrument used in data collection was a matter of English text. In this study, data analysis used consisted of three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and completing conclusions or verification.
