Abstract

Secara etimologi, pendidikan multikultural terdiri dari dua kata kunci, yaitu pendidikan dan multikultural. Pendidikan secara sederhana adalah proses pengembangan sikap dan perilaku seseorang atau kelompok melalui pengajaran, pelatihan dan pembinaan. Sedangkan multikultural sendiri diartikan sebagai keanekaragaman budaya yang terdiri dari nilai-nilai, keyakinan, dasar asumsi, sikap, dan perilaku yang dimiliki oleh sekelompok orang. Sejak masa perjuangan meraih kemerdekaan dan hingga merdeka pada tahun 1945, para pendahulu bangsa Indonesia menyadari bahwa Indonesia adalah negara yang memiliki keanekaragaman yang begitu tinggi. Pada Sumpah Pemuda, disebutkan bahwa meskipun Indonesia sangat beragam, tetapi memiliki satu bangsa, satu tumpah darah dan satu bahasa persatuan; Indonesia. Dari sini pula lahir lah "Bhineka Tunggal Ika" yang berarti kesatuan dalam keragaman. Tulisan ini merupakan studi pustaka mengenai pelaksanaan pendidikan multikultural di tingkat sekolah dasar dan menengah di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia berdasarkan tujuh penelitian terdahulu. Hasil dari tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan multikultural di Indonesia pada saat ini ditunjukkan beberapa kelemahan dan kekurangan yang berlaku. Peningkatan terintegrasi baik dalam kuantitas dan kualitas multikultural pendidikan masih sangat diperlukan. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Multikultural, Bhineka Tunggal Ika

Abstract

Speech in humor can be found in various cultures, including Sundanese culture. Sundanese culture controls humor as a content that cannot be separated from everyday speech. One of the humor that often colors the speech is cawokah, which is a style of humor that raises the theme of marriage and genitals but is packaged implicitly. The results of this study elaborated on the cawokah that has been analyzed by using the theory of politeness strategy. In the analysis of politeness strategy, each speech will be analyzed by using Saving Face theory. This theory analyzed utterance and its honor that is attached to each individual. This approach is intended to find out the purpose of the realization of each speech. Then it was known that the purpose of the realization of the cawokah utterance was mostly intended as facial glorification and a small part was intended as facial contempt.

Abstract

This article was written to review a dictionary named Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (CALD) especially the entries start from actor to adhere. In order to fulfill the readers’ need, some words need to be deleted, revised, and added based on the ways of the dictionary provide the meaning of the words or the ways of the words combine with other words. The consideration of word deletion, revision, and addition was also based on the frequency of the words used by people in in English speaking countries provided by COCA (Corpus of Contemporary American English) and BYU (Brigham Young University). There are three entries should be deleted, 17 entries should be revised, and two entries should be added to CALD.

Abstract

This article explores the implementation of writing captions on Instagram towards students of SMAN 6 Bogor. According to basic competencies of English subject in Curriculum 2013, one of the competencies that the students of grade XII of SMA are able to compose captions. Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, story-sharing, and video-sharing. It is one of the social media tools widely used by teenagers. This study is intended to reports how the implementation of EFL students’ writing competency in using Instagram and whether the learning activity can boost students’ interest and encourage students to write from what they know. Further, the discussion also takes into the issues of the problem that may exist during the application of Instagram as a learning tool and the solution proposed by the teacher to solve the problems will also intensively investigate. Employing a qualitative approach, observation and interview use as the instrument of this present study. The students at SMA 6 Bogor choose as the informant of this study. The students are under the researcher's supervision. Activities are designed in accordance with the course objectives to share information about the students and the phenomenon.

Abstract

Multiple intellegences are instructions of Indonesian National Anthem, Indonesia Raya, “.... “Bangunlah Jiwanya, Bangunlah badannya, untuk Indonesia Raya””. To construct multiple intellegences must to be done from childhood, because this is gold periode. The implementation of multiple intellegences in BCCT or Center learning model in childhood education consist of linguistic, logical mathematic, musical, bodily kinesthetic, spatial, interpersonal, intra personal, naturalistic, extensional and spiritual intelligence. These intelligences are implemented in playing activities in centers or BCCT (Beyond Centers and Circle Time) learning model which consist of Block Center, reading and calculating center , creativity center, micro and macro role play center, praying center and natural center.
