Abstract

In industry, conveyor is a means of transportation to move production materials. Conveyor not just move the goods but there are other processes such as counting the number of goods, filling the liquid and so forth because it is equipped with certain sensors and actuators. These processes can be automated by using PLCs as controllers by executing instruction programs in the form of ladder diagrams. The complexity of automation processes in conveyors requires the use of many relays in PLC programming and is difficult to apply to low-specification PLCs. Of course the procurement of PLC with high specifications require a lot of money. In order to overcome these problems it is necessary a method that can minimize the number of relays used so that the program becomes shorter. By using state diagram, the result of construction of ladder diagram is obtained by 32 rung and the program capacity is 3 KB.Keywords: Conveyor, Flow-Table/State Diagram, Ladder Diagram, PLC, Rung.

Abstract

Abstract— Drive system is an important role important role in industrial processes, especially in electrical control. Maintaining a DC motor speed is a control system task that requires several method. Generally, set-point is defined as point of demand, and its comparation against process value (current speed) resulted in error. Both error and delta-error are two parameters required to the control system to determine system behavior in correction action. Such system of controller is a useful component to suppress the error signal so that the desired performance can be obtained. This research designs system of DC motor rotation speed control using Arduino Uno microcontroller to meet control specification on laboratory scale, implementing control application and Fuzzy Control System as control system algorithm.Because of its ability to be easily modeled using human intuitive, adaptive, does not require complex mathematical equations, not limited to linear or constant systems, and easily adapted to human input, Mamdani Fuzzy Logic Control System is used. Keywords: Mamdani Inference Engine, Fuzzy Logic, Arduino Uno, Rotation Speed Control, DC Motor

Abstract

Vehicle Routing Problem is an issue in item delivery from depot to its customers using several vehicles which have limited capacity with a purpose to minimize transportation cost. The packing constraints exist because the vehicles which are usually used in item delivery have rectangular-box shaped container. Also, the items are commonly in shape of rectangular-box. Therefore, packing or loading method is needed so that containers could load all of the items without causing damage and could ease unloading process. The purpose of this final project is to develop a model and algorithm using metaheuristics method, especially genetics algorithm in order to minimize total delivery distance. A hybrid genetics algorithm and bottom-left fill algorithm also take place to solve the packing process. This algorithm delivered average solution 0.08% worse than ant colony optimization, but had 2.93% better solution than tabu search. Keywords: Routing, Optimization, Genetics Algorithm, Packing, Bottom-Left Fill

Abstract

Agent-based source seeking problem is addressed in this paper. This problem is relevant in, e.g., in hazardous gas leak in a chemical disaster.  In the cooperative search, agents develop a formation to effectively search the source by communicating one to another via a communication topology. The source, or the search target, is represented by a scalar field y which might describe a temperature level, hazardous concentration of substances or vapor. Every agent has the information on its own position and the value of y at any instance. The agents are identical modeled as single and double integrator. Consensus filter is used to control the agent formation and comparison three types of gradient estimation are employed to search the source.  Experiments show that the proposed schemes give good performance to solve cooperative search for source seeking problem Keywords: cooperative source seeking, source seeking, formation control, gradient estimation

Abstract

This paper developed a water-surface robotic vehicle that act as repeater station to assist the communication between ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) underwater robot and control station. The key issue here is how the robot can relay the data communication between the ROV and the control station. The communication between repeater Station and control station is based on wireless, whereas the communication between repeater Station and ROV is based on wire. Data that have transmit from control station is received by Repeater Station and continued to the ROV through wire. The Power needed is suplied by photovoltaic (PV) to the Repeater Station and the ROV. The position of Repeater Station is controlled, so the position of Repeater Station and ROV always in parallel. In practices, there are two way directly communication between control station with ROV, that are based on wireless and through wire. Nevertheless, wireless communication system never used to observed on the ocean or the deep waters because there is a high attenuation of a signal when cross the air-water boundary. Based on these problems, we make a Repeater Station that used a buoyant communication system models. Communication from control station to Repeater Station in the form of motion control and data. Whereas, communication from Repeater Station to ROV in the form of motion control, data, and power supply. Communication frequency is at 5,8 GHz for audio video and 433 MHz for motion control and telemetry. The connection wire between Repeater Station and ROV can go along and shorten with automatically roll as feature. Electricity from PV is strorage to a battery in the Repeater Station. Charging of the battery occur when battery power is not full and will cease if battery power is being full. Power of the battery must be full if want to operated the Repeater Station. The availability of the Repeater Station is expected to assist the communication between ROV underwater robot with control station, so ROV can be controlled remotely and can increase range of the reach. Keywords: Water-Surface Robotic Vehicle; Communication; Position Control; Repeater Station; Self Charging
