Abstract

Training and mentoring are conducted for Kumba hamlet residents, especially among housewives in Jagoi Babang District. This mentoring program involves the lecturers and students of KKN STKIP Singkawang. A method that is used is the identification of the programs is socialization, training, and mentoring directly resulted in the form of the manufacturing practice of toman fish Abon. Toman fish processing into Abon is one way to utilize the potential of toman fish as a skills program to maximize innovative, creative and economic empowered business opportunities. The results of this socialization activity are students can play an active role in the activities and participants involved in Kumba Village can be understood the material presented. Overall, community empowerment partners can understand and practice material related to how they are created, the benefits, and marketing management. However, more intensive assistance is needed for business management related to business planning and financial management.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a variety of cultures, ethnicities, and races. This diversity is characteristic of the Indonesian state and the assets of the Indonesian people, in accordance with the motto of Unity in Diversity. Therefore, it is important for every citizen to have a sense of patriotism as a form of pride in the country of birth and shelter. The love of the motherland is not only implemented in the world of education, but also must be in the community, one of which is by conducting socialization to the community about the importance of the love of the motherland and then proceed with the screening of the Indonesian film titled "Merah Putih Memanggil (Red and White Calling)". This activity was carried out on Thursday, January 17, 2019, located in Jagoi Village, Jagoi Babang District. Participants in this activity were children and residents of Jagoi village and several members of the TNI from the Task Force Yonif 511 / DY. Through these activities, the aim is to further instill a sense of patriotism for participants who basically reside in the border area, namely the village of Jagoi, Jagoi Babang.

Abstract

The level of education of the people is still low and the number of illiterates and Arabic letters for the Muslim community is still high. There are still many people in Gresik Village in Jagoi Babang District who cannot read Hijaiyah letters. Conditions that occur in a society consisting of age -up and children. In order to eradicate the illiteracy of the Hijaiyah letters , various methods are carried out so that it is easy and can be learned or understood by every Muslim who has not been able to read the Holy Qur'an,. Effort undertaken to face these challenges include the illiteracy eradication program for people who already have a low level of formal education. Therefore, one of the initial steps done is to implement a program of socialization eradication Arabic letters on the community, especially the W arga Coarse sand . Activity is more effectively facilitate Villagers Coarse sand in order to foster interest for who can not read the letters hijaiyah mempelaj ari how to read the Quran. The objectives of the PKM-M program include eradicating Arabic illiteracy, increasing insight andknowledge, increase the ability and awareness of self potential in the community of Gresik Village and provide motivation for Hijaiyah letters. The implementation of community service includes several methods, namely lectures, questions and answers, practice and evaluation. with the socialization of a good impact on the understanding of the letter hijaiyah and foster interest in reading al-Quran with easier-aided guidance . the conclusion of the activity had a good impact on the understanding of hijaiyah letters from the people of Gresik Village. With the community service activities of STKIP Singkawang, the people of Gersik Village felt helped.

Abstract

The purpose of this public service activity is to provide information and knowledge to people in the border areas of the electoral procedure in 2019 which will be held in April 2019. To achieve Reviews These goals, do the "socialization of the Implementation Rules of Voting In Election 2019 Indonesia-Malaysia border in the Regions ", Socialization activities undertaken include the exposure of the material on the stages of the election 2019, 2019 election of participants, how to vote, how voting (voting) and Also the practical activities of voting ballots. These socialization activities Carried out in the village of socialization of Sekida The number of participants is about 77 persons. The results of this socialization that the activities of participants socialized mostly already understand how voting procedures, how voting (voting) and Also was Able to understand the practical activities of voting ballots. Fewer constraints faced by the participants are still a lot of participants who do not understand each other's differences ballots for representatives of the people are like District / State, Provincial Councils, Parliament, and Council.

Abstract

The lack of residents’ awareness to advance their study to University in the border area of Jagoi Babang District, West Kalimantan, Indonesia made the pupils around the border area almost less educate or stagnant both in the numbers and quality of their education. There are many residents of the high school age was drop out or did not advance their school to university level. But ironically, almost all resident has android cellphone but it functional as calling and messaging only.This program offers an alternate solution for local resident to get access of higher education information by using their cellphones. This program called ad SMART e-Cons. This was private service that provide by our team for facilitate the local residents’ curiosity about process in higher education. Most of the local pupils has working as farmer, as cotter so it has been most difficulties for us to gather all of them in one time. Therefore, from 138 families only there are 34 family’s members had been volunteer for this program. And this was reasoning why our team has decided to deliver the SMART e-Cons sheets to their house (all of residents) include volunteer that present in main session.This program was implemented by using the method of coordination, implementation to reporting. These activities can also contribute to increase information about the importance of education in university which certainly has many entry channels including through scholarships.This program’s result that 53% resident able to access the link and able to give feedback for the team, 50% able to access the link only, and 100% resident able to give feedback only (doesn’t know to click the link).Finally, our purpose to give a brief explanation for local residents of Gersik Village about entrances university both in country and overseas university without worries about tuitions fee and sort of kinds.
