Abstract

Transformation geometry is one of the subjects in the curriculum structure of the Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University Mathematics Education Study Program taught in semester 4. One of the goals of learning transformation geometry is for students to comprehend transformation geometry in depth and be able to formulate concepts in a problem. Of course, to achieve this goal many problems are faced. This article seeks to conduct an objective descriptive analysis of the problems in building students' understanding of the geometry of transformation concepts based on the teaching experience of transformation geometry courses. Next we will try to find a strategy to overcome all problems in building understanding of the concept of transformation geometry.

Abstract

Cooperative learning is a model of learning that create the students in a small group. The group formed consist of four to six students and heterogeneous characteristic. The results of examine showed that cooperative learning can be develop interaction and communication between teachers and students, between student and student also. In the other word, cooperative learning very effective to apply in classroom that have less of interaction and communication. Interaction is social activities that have feedback between teacher and student. Communication is procces to convery the message by teacher to the students by using media that create effectiv learning. Cooperative learning that can develop interaction and communication is cooperative learning STAD (Student Team Achievement Division), TPS (Think Pair and Share), TGT (Teams Games and Tournament), and NHT (Numbered Heads Together). In this article explanation the basic reason why cooperative learning can develop interaction and communication?

Abstract

Facing the era of disruption that is happening right now, learning done for students must lead to the development of higher-order thinking skills. This abilityis one of the provisions for participants to face competition in the future. Mathematical creative thinking ability is one of the higher order thinking abilities in mathematical ability.

Abstract

The main problem faced at SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi is the low activity and student learning outcomes due to less varied learning methods. Therefore, this study aims to improve the activities and learning outcomes of Mathematics using NHT type cooperative learning models on Trigonometry material for SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi students. This research was conducted to 34 students of class XII Science 4, in this study tested the use of NHT type cooperative learning models on Trigonometry material to determine their effects on student learning outcomes. The study was divided into 3 cycles by collecting data using cognitive tests and student attitude questionnaires obtained from each cycle, the results were analyzed whether there was an increase in each cycle. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in learning outcomes 20% from cycle I to cycle II and an increase of 27% from cycle II to cycle III, while student activity has increased from cycle I by 78, to 81 in cycle II and 83 in cycle III, activity asessment indicators in the form of discipline, cooperation, courtesy and tolerance in learning

Abstract

This study aims to improve economic learning activities and outcomes using the Jigsaw learning model on international economic cooperation material for class XII IPS 3 students of SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi in the 2018-2019 academic year. This research is a classroom action research, which was conducted to students of class XII IPS 3 of SMAN 3 kotabumi in the 2018-2019 academic year. In this study tested the use of Jigsaw learning models on international economic cooperation material to determine its effect on student learning outcomes. The study was divided into 2 cycles, namely for the material of cooperation between countries in the economic field and the multilateral economic cooperation body. Data collection techniques with cognitive tests and student attitude questionnaires obtained from each cycle, the results were analyzed whether there was an increase in each cycle. The results of this study indicate that, the use of Jigsaw learning models on international economic cooperation material can improve student learning outcomes in class XII IPS 3. Student learning outcomes have increased by 58% from cycle I to cycle II, while student activity based on questionnaires has increased in cycle II where students, more disciplined, cooperative, polite and tolerant in learning. Thus the use of Jigsaw learning models in the material of international economic cooperation can improve the economic learning outcomes of students of class XII IPS 3 at SMAN 3 Kotabumi in the academic year 2018-2019.

Abstract

This research was investigated about the effectiveness of colaborative learning on Mathematics based Informatics which aimed at probing whether the use of Colaborative Learning in Mathematic Departement of University of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi is effective to be used on Mathematics based Informatics subject. The method used was decriptive quaitative. The colaborative learning was implied on the lesson plan design and during the learning process in 8 meetings consisting of 16 students as the research sample. Based on the research result, it was found that the use of colaborative learning is effective to be used on Mathematics based informatics subject.

Abstract

This research was aimed to investigate the influence of implementation collaborative learning with ispring presenter toward linear programing outcomes. This research was quantitative research. This also used the pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample were all students of the 4th of mathematic departement of Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi in academic year 2017/2018. The sample was taken using purposive sampling. The instruments used was linear programing outcomes test. The conclusions of this research was that there is positive influence of implementation collaborative learning with ispring presenter toward linear programing outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model with a realistic mathematics education (PMR) approach to students' affective aspects of mathematics. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. This study consisted of independent variable namely jigsaw cooperative learning model with realistic approach and one dependent variable namely the affective aspects of students' mathematics. The population in this study was the eighth grade students of State Junior High Schools in North Lampung Regency. Sampling was carried out by stratified cluster random sampling technique and obtained 9 classes from 3 state junior high schools in North Lampung Regency, consisting of 3 experimental classes I, 3 experimental classes II, and 3 control classes. The instrument for collecting data is a questionnaire on the affective aspects of mathematics, Testing the hypothesis in this study using a t-test. The results showed that there was an influence of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model with the PMR approach to the affective aspects of students'mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of mathematical representation through an open-ended approach to functional material in class VIII MTs. Sirajul Ulum Pontianak. The research method used was the experimental method with Quasi experimental research and the design used in this study was posttest-only control design. The results obtained were (1) the average ability of students' mathematical representation after being taught with an open-ended approach was 72 with the criteria classified as good; (2) The average mathematical representation ability of students is 57 with criteria classified as sufficient; and (3) The ability of mathematical representations given to the treatment of open-ended approaches is better than students given the treatment of conventional learning models, this can be seen from the average results and has been proven using inferential statistics. Every student in the control class or experiment experiences problems on each indicator, which is what distinguishes the average.

Abstract

Education curriculum in Indonesia focuses on the ability of hard skills and soft skills. Both of these capabilities must be synergized and balanced in their implementation in realizing learning goals and also curriculum objectives. Hard skills have several types, namely: mathematical understanding, mathematical reasoning, mathematical problem solving, mathematical communication, mathematical connections, mathematical logical thinking, mathematical critical thinking, and mathematical creative thinking. Each of these types has an indicator so that learning objectives are achieved.
