Abstract

This research focuses on the detection of human facial expressions using the Histogram of Oriented Gradient algorithm. Whereas for the classification algorithm, Convolutional Neural Network is used. Image data used in the form of seven different expressions of humans with the extraction of 48x48 pixels. The use of Histogram of Oriented Gradient as a feature extracting algorithm, because Histogram of Oriented Gradient is good to be used in detecting moving objects. Whereas Convolutional Neural Network is used because it is an improvement of the Multi Layer Perceptron algorithm. Of the three epoches done, it produced the best accuracy of 77% re-introduction of human facial expressions. These results are quite convincing because it only uses three epochs.

Abstract

STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang was established in the year 2000 as an information technology-based tertiary institution which has three study programs, namely under graduate of informatics engineering, diploma three informatics engineering and under graduate of information systems. The three study programs always strive to improve the status of accreditation by continuously improving internal quality and making accreditation a strategy to compete with other universities. To maintain quality, STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang, especially the undergraduate informatics engineering study program routinely monitors and evaluates the performance of lecturers. The problem that is often faced in routine monitoring and evaluation of lecturer performance is the performance evaluation process that is still objective so that to overcome these problems, a decision support system is needed that can assist in evaluating the performance of lecturers at STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang. The purpose of this study is to make a decision support system for the assessment of performance of lecturers of the first-degree informatics engineering study program at STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang using TOPSIS method. The results of this study are in the form of a desktop-based application that can facilitate the monitoring and performance evaluation teams of lecturers in evaluating the performance of lecturers of study programs.

Abstract

The problem in determining the selection of soybean seeds for replanting, especially in East Nusa Tenggara is still an important issue. The thing that affects the quality of soybean seeds is found broken seeds, dull seeds, dirty seeds, and broken seeds due to the process of drying and shelling. Determination of soy bean quality is usually done manually by visual observation. The manual system takes a long time and produces products with inconsistent quality due to visual limitations, fatigue, and different perceptions of each observer. This research was conducted using comparison of image texture extraction with statistical methods of order I (color moment) and order II statistics (GLCM) for soy bean selection. Order I statistics (color moment) show the probability of the appearance of the value of the gray degree of pixels in an image, while the order II statistics (GLCM) show the probability of a neighborhood relationship between two pixels that form a cohesion matrix from the image data. This research is expected to help the classification process in determining soybean seeds. The k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) algorithm used in previous studies to classify the image objects to be examined. The results of this study were successfully conducted using k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) with euclidean distance and k = 1 with the results of color moment extracts getting the highest accuracy of 88% and the results of GLCM feature extraction for homogeneity characteristics of 75.5%, correlations of 78.67% , contrast is 65.75% and energy is 63.83% with an average accuracy of 70.93%.

Abstract

East Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the tourist destination areas, one of its prima donnas is Komodo Island which was included in the list of The New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2012. But not only that, there are still many stunning tourist destinations. Kupang City is the main destination before accessing the natural beauty of the East Nusa Tenggara region. In the Kupang City and the Regency of Kupang itself holds many tourist destinations, but the terms of promotion that are still catalog and social media are deemed inadequate. High cost of catalog production and data costs for accessing social media are not cheap either. But by using a router and access point, it is expected that these costs can be eliminated. The router is used to create a hotspot login page. The login page can be modified into a digital catalog (website page) while the Access Point is used to distribute catalog. Hotspots can be accessed free of charge by tourist attractions. Digital catalog can be changed according to the development of tourist attractions. This digital catalog also provides alternative tourism in the Kupang City and other areas in East Nusa Tenggara Province

Abstract

Tourism is very important in sustaining local income. Tourism Department also required to develop tourism in the region, so as to attract tourists to visit the tourist attractions there. False one that should be developed is a geographic information system for the geographic information system of the tourists easily find tourist attractions. Ende, Flores Island is located in the central part has a beautiful natural scenery both sea and land, as well as tourism. Ende is known for a wide range of fascinating natural attractions, but the tourism potential has not been known by tourists who want to visit, because the Department of Tourism Ende in promoting tourist places are still using manual systems such as brochures, posters and books. Media is not sufficient to inform the tourist attractions widely. Because the Department of Ende requires an adequate promotional media such as web GIS so that travel is better known by local and foreign tourists. Researchers aim to build a location information system applications Ende tourism web based making it easier for travelers to find tourist spots in the district of Ende. Based on the above problems, the writer intend to design and build an information system of tourist sites in the district of Ende-based web, to help the Department of Tourism Ende in promoting tourist places in the district of Ende.

Abstract

Cattle are one of the livestock commodities that are a mainstay as a source of protein. Animal is meat that is quite well known in the community. Decent meat taken from healthy livestock and free from diseases caused by diseases suffered by cattle must be handled seriously. Beef cattle breeders in East Nusa Tenggara, especially young cattle breeders, are hard to find by medical personnel such as compilation veterinarians to find sick cattle. On the other hand, the Livestock Service Office of NTT Province annually collects cattle disease data to draw conclusions about animal diseases in the regency / city in East Nusa Tenggara. Through data from the Kupang District Animal Husbandry Service, East Nusa Tenggara with data mining techniques can predict livestock disease using the Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor (FK-NN) algorithm. Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor (FK-NN) algorithm works by receiving input of diseases as input, then it will be processed with FK-NN algorithm and the results of processing become diagnoses of diseases suffered and therapeutic suggestions for diseases in beef cattle So it can increasing the yield of beef collected from beef cattle and minimizing the costs incurred by cattle farmers to care for infected livestock to consult with veterinarians.

Abstract

Current technological developments, especially in the 3D field experienced a lot of progress. 3D Modeling is the process of creating 3D objects that want to be expressed in a real visual form, both in the shape, texture and size of the object. Making 3D models of objects or objects using a computer to make objects look more alive and in accordance with the original object. The method applied in PC assembly animation is the Modeling Box and Contoring Model using 3DSMax. The results of this study can provide a picture for beginners in assembling a PC.

Abstract

New Student Admission Information System at Karyadarma University has not used a web-based information system. This information system is an information system used to facilitate the registration administration process so as to make it easier for the Admissions Committee at the University of Kupang Karyadarma. In developing the New Student Admission Information System using the Laravel framework method. This information system uses the PHP programming language and MYSQL database server. The system testing method uses blackbox and usability testing. The results of this study are a website-based New Student Admission Information System that can help the ongoing performance. The results of testing the software that was developed obtained a functionality value of 1 (Good), testing the usability aspect obtained results with a percentage of 94.66% (Very Eligible).

Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of coronavirus. This is a new virus and a disease previously unknown before the outbreak in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. To suppress its spread, at the end of 2019 the government appealed to every educational institution to implement a home study program. In this regard, the development of a learning model in the Covid-19 emergency period is now an obligation that must be done by every educator in Indonesia. Nowadays information technology plays an important role in all fields, including in education. The right learning media to use now is certainly a choice that must be made, based on information technology. The development of information and communication technology has experienced rapid development, so that it impacts on human life. This development can be seen from the pattern of technology-based education. The application of technology in education better known as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has finally become the pulse in the world of education. It is clear that ICT has become an integrated part of learning through distance learning or internet-based learning (e-learning). During the Covid-19 emergency. at the end of 2019 after receiving an appeal from the government regarding home learning programs due to the Covid-19 pandemic, STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang felt the need to build a system to be able to help monitor online teaching and learning activities from home by utilizing internet technology or known as e-learning. The main purpose of iClass (e-learning that will be built) is to collect student attendance data online so that it can help the academic community to control lecture activities in real time. Presentation of data will be faster, more precise and accurate.

Abstract

One of the serious problems faced by the Institute of Higher Education, STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang in early 2020 was the replacement of the Corona Virus Covid-19 outbreak which involved all academic activities that were canceled and put into effect online teaching and learning processes or online lectures. Online lectures or online-based lecture systems also called e-learning or Online Courses are lecture processes using information and communication technology in this case the internet. Digital-based learning has been developed from E-Learning to M-Learning to U-Learning and to S-Learning or Smart Learning. The method of learning everywhere without difficulty by space and time has become important and breakthroughs in the field of education are often referred to as Ubiquitous Learning. Learning everywhere or U-Learning is a learning technology that can be carried out anywhere and at any time by integrating mobile technology as a supporting tool. an event, impact or things that cause changes to the process that is happening.
