Sadharananikarana: Jurnal Ilmiah Komunikasi Hindu is an academic journal has been published since 2019 twice annually (May-November) by Program Studi Magister Ilmu Komunikasi Hindu IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. This journal publishes original researches in multi concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms and methodologies on communication studies. The Focush and scope of Sadharananikarana: Jurnal Ilmiah Komunikasi Hindu : Mass Media and Journalism (this field examines journalistic activities and media production which includes print, radio, television, and internet); New Media and Communication Technology (a new field of communication study that continues to develop along with technological advances and community needs, this field includes digital media, virtual, interactive, hypertextual and networking); Public Relations (this field of communication examines Public Relations which include internal and external relations within an organization or institution, as well as the creation of public opinion in society); Political Communication (communication involving messages, media, and political actors or those related to power, government, and policy); Marketing Communication (a field that examines ideas, information, opportunities, and challenges through various symbols to achieve company goals); Hindu Communication (communication applied in dharma wacana or Hindu preaching activites using media or occured in society); Sociology of Communication (the process of sociological communication, as a form of social interaction involving individuals or social groups).

<![CDATA[The occurrence of dialogue between artists, works of art, and devotees, makes works of art become an important medium in a communication process. The communication process that occurs in the activity of interpreting works of art is called aesthetic communication. The term aesthetic communication is an option in the activity of interpreting the use of a work of art. Although a work of art is a personal expression of every artist, after the work is born, it will become a form that is ready to be enjoyed by the art public. To capture the value contained in existing works of art, the aesthetic communication process is very important, as we can see in I Wayan Pengsong's painting. One of the strengths of Pengsong's painting lies in his efforts to build and record various aspects of the culture on the island of Lombok as the subject matter of his work. The aesthetic communication process in Pengsong's painting is in the process of using the cultural and visual values that exist in the artist's work, which is presented in a work. The process of meaning that exists in Pengsong's works is handed back to all appreciation in an effort to interpret and give meaning to these works, based on various aspects of the process of interpreting the works of art.]]>

<![CDATA[Social media is one of the new media which in addition to having a positive impact as technological advancement. The ease and speed of interacting and disseminating information is the main attraction of this service. In addition to having a positive impact, social media also has a negative impact as a medium for disseminating information. The negative side of technological progress through social media creates a new phenomenon in the midst of this digital era called post-truth. Post-truth as a new era is marked by the exclusion of truth and putting forward emotions. In simple terms, post-truth can be interpreted that people are looking for justification rather than the truth. This paper aims to find out how social media literacy is in the post-truth era. Social media literacy is a person's skill in finding, selecting, and applying information sources on social media. These skills are needed to remain able to carry out social media activities wisely and safely so that audiences are critical of the media as well as determine the information needed from the media. In addition, the government's efforts through the regulation of the ITE Law are an important way to combat post-truth on social media.]]>

<![CDATA[Nowadays, English lesson becomes important subject that has been taught for all educational sectors. Learning English was not only focuses in improving four essential skills (speaking skill, listening skill, reading skill, and writing skills) but also it was needed to understand the cultural aspects. Regarding the phenomenon, this article described the synergisity of intercultural communication in English teaching and learning process at University. The introduction of target language culture would be helped the students to improve the language skills. Furthermore, by discovering the language culture could minimize the students’ interference during the communication. In the English lesson, university students are expected to be able to find the cultural material which suitable with English material. English lecturer could support that activity by providing English text that is written by native writer and showed the real phenomena in those areas. Besides, table manner activity helped the students to catch the tradition of western culture about cutlery, technique and also dining etiquette. The conversation practice with native speaker could also increase the student ability in speaking skill. Thus, the students were able to respect the world’s culture through intercultural communication.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic has had a very significant impact on Hindu religious life in the city of Mataram, especially with regard to the implementation of a yajňa ceremony involving the presence of a number of Hindus. This phenomenon affects the social bonds that have been built for a long time. In this regard, in this research, a study was conducted on ritual communication strategies in order to strengthen social solidarity of the Hindu community in Mataram City during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study was designed in a qualitative descriptive type. The data are presented and analyzed using narrative texts to find answers to the research focus. This study found that there are at least four ritual communication strategies in order to maintain the social ties of the Hindu community. First, intensify communication through social media. Second, to regulate the implementation of religious rituals by complying with health protocols. Third, participating in Hindu religious enlightenment activities online so that it is expected to maintain communication even though it is through a virtual face-to-face process. Fourth, build harmonization of interpersonal communication in the family environment.]]>

<![CDATA[During the Covid-19 pandemic requires that every component of education and communication carry out the online learning by using various educational platforms such as Google Classroom as the media. So, the purpose of this research is to identify the problems encountered by the third grade students of elementary school Number 2 Menyali with a frequency of 30 students. The sampling was carried out by applying the saturated sampling technique, which was the whole of the population members who were used as research samples. Data collection in this research was obtained through an instrument in the form of questionnaire consisting of 4 indicators with 9 questions. The Guttman scale was used as an instrument in this research with alternative answers of “yes” and “no”. Then, the data that had been obtained were re-analyzed with quantitative descriptive anyalysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. Quantitative descriptive analysis that is done by determining the average percentage of each dimension of the research instrument which is then categorized into a percentage category table from each research instrument dimension which is then categorized into a percentage category table. Followed by use of descriptive qualitative analysis, that is describes the percentage result data and relates it to the results of previous studies. Based on the results of the imaging, it is found that there are four main problems in the process of using google classroom including the lack of student adaptability, low ability to use applications, lack of availability of devices and low ability to understand material during learning activities which in communication science are expressed as noise.]]>

<![CDATA[Almost all mass media, especially online media in Indonesia, take advantage of eroticism or pornography news as one of the main attractions for reporting. Kompas.com is among those who consistently report on the immoral video scandal of Dea Onlyfans in the period March-April 2022. The purpose of this study is to describe the pattern and construction of the news that was carried out by kompas.com in the pornographic case of Dea Onlyfans which various parties have highlighted. Kompas.com's spirit of quality journalism doesn't seem to be in line with kompas.com's exploitation of exaggerating or framing immoral news compared to other important news in the midst of the post-Covid-19 crisis, until the government's policies in Indonesia have been criticized. This study uses a qualitative method with a constructive approach. Researchers analyzed the presentation of the results of news construction using the framing model of Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. As for the results of the analysis, namely Syntax, kompas.com relied on sensational and chronological news titles in exploiting immoral news; The script, Kompas.com is able to build interesting stories and make readers "addicted" in every news series that is broadcast. Thematically, kompas.com is able to connect and decipher facts so that they become stories that attract readers. <![CDATA[New media is a term to describe the convergence of digital communication technology that is computerized and connected to a network and cannot be separated from the use of information technology, both network-based and telecommunications. as an example of media that is very representative of new media is the internet. New media is present as a new medium of communication at this time. All the ease of access provided by new media began to shift conventional media as communication media. This study aims to determine the implications of new media as a medium of communication and information technology. The implications of new media as a medium of communication By using new media it is easier for the audience to access things, such as news information that can be accessed in real time, the ease of exchanging information with relatives only by using internet-based devices. The internet is also a form of change in new media. However, the presence of new media as a medium of communication in this era in addition to providing positive implications also has negative implications. The implication of the presence of new media as a communication medium is that with the presence of new media, people's dependence on old media has begun to be replaced by a more real time, effective media, this is one of the positive sides of the new media as communication media and information technology. On the other hand, the negative implication of the presence of new media is that it often results in humans themselves forgetting and ignoring the real world and actually paying more attention to the virtual world, besides that new media are vulnerable to users, especially if new media is consumed by children without adult supervision.]]>

<![CDATA[Kebudayaan dalam bentuk kesenian seperti tari topeng sidhakarya dapat dipahami dengan berbagai pendekatan atau sudut pandang dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dan teori sebagai piranti analisis dan penjelas. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil telaah kesenian tari dalam perspektif komunikasi seni dengan akar ilmu komunikasi. Menempatkan seni dalam konteks komunikasi dapat menjadikan seni sebagai media atau sistem komunikasi, hal ini menegaskan bahwa eksistensi seni selalu menyatu dan tidak dapat lepas dari dimensi kehidupan manusia. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan model fenomenologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan temuan penting bahwa komunikasi bersifat omnipresent sebab komunikasi hadir dimana-mana termasuk dalam peristiwa seni. Komunikasi estetik dalam kesenian tari topeng sidhakarya dalam praktek keagamaan masyarakat Hindu Bali di Kota Mataram merupakan proses pertukaran nilai-nilai estetik sebagai pesan yang menyimpan makna atau nilai antara seniman (komunikator) dan masyarakat pendukung seni tersebut atau publik seni (komunikan) sebagai peserta komunikasi. Pementasan kesenian tari topeng sidhakarya dalam praktek keagamaan pada masyarakat Hindu Bali di Kota Mataram tidak hanya dilihat dari keindahan tampilan seni yang dilakukan oleh seniman semata, melainkan sebagai sesuatu yang dimaknai dan dinilai sesuai dengan kehidupan.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine and describe the Communication Pattern of Nurses and Patients at the Jakarta Hajj Hospital. Researchers use Communication Accommodation Theory to see the occurrence of interactive communication between nurses and patients, each individual tends to make accommodations to achieve certain goals. This study uses a qualitative approach through observation and in-depth interviews, which are then described descriptively. Based on the analysis of researchers who focused on interpersonal communication patterns showed communication between nurses and patients at Haji Hospital Jakarta. seen from the positive attitude indicators, support and equality have gone well. However, the indicators of openness and empathy have not been done well, because there are still patients who are not open to nurses and the relationship between nurses and patients is only on the outermost layer or not intimate.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to conduct a study of the practice of oral traditions used as a medium of communication in the transformation of religious culture values at the Balinese-Hindu community in Lombok. This phenomenon is related to the decrease in the intensity of the practice of oral traditions in the midst of the modern communication media flow as a consequence of technological developments, especially information technology. This research is designed in an interpretive qualitative type in order to study the shift in the use of traditional cultural communication media, especially in practices of oral traditions. This study found that the influence of modern communication media which is increasingly widespread in the midst of people's lives with technology that is constantly evolving provides flexibility for people to access religious messages conveyed to the public. The development of modern information technology has a significant impact on the preservation of oral traditions created by past civilizations which have been handed down to the Balinese-Hindu society nowdays. In this regard, it is necessary to participate in cultural activists and related parties in order to build awareness about the importance of preserving oral traditions as a medium for communicating noble values in religious culture.]]>
