Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cognitive conflict approach on the conceptual understanding of senior high school students in class X on straight motion material. This type of research is a pre-experimental research design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA State Senior High School 1 Narmada. The research sample was obtained using a positive sampling technique, obtained class X MIPA 1 as experimental class 1, class X MIPA 2 as experimental class 2, and class X MIPA 3 as experimental class 3. Data collection on conceptual understanding used multiple-choice tests of 15 questions. Hypothesis test analysis used a statistical paired sample t-test and showed that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This shows that the cognitive conflict approach affects students' conceptual understanding of straight motion material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Motivasi Belajar Sains Siswa Terhadao Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) berbasis studi kasus. Metode yang digunakan dalam peelitian ini metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui metode obeservasi, dokumentasi, serta wawancara. Wawancara di lakukan kepada guru. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran Sains selama adanya pandemi Covid-19 di SDN Sidomukti Bojonegoro dilakukan dengan cara daring/online dari rumah, Metode pembelajaran dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar yang dialami peserta didik selama mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Seperti dalam hal ini, metode pembelajaran daring/online yang digunakan selama pandemi covid-19, dan saat guru memberikan soal kepada mereka, mereka terkesan kesulitan menjawab soal tersebut. Sehingga dengan tidak adanya motivasi belajar dari siswa, siswa tidak dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir tingkat tingginya pada saat guru menyampaikan materi dan memberikan soal

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang penggunaan audio-visual sebagai media pembelajaran Biologi untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas dan respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berbentuk audio-visual. Produk dirancang untuk siswa kelas XI pada mata pelajaran Biologi dengan materi anatomi tumbuhan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Tahap diseminasi hanya dilakukan terbatas pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Randudongkal Pemalang. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian ini adalah ahli media, ahli materi, dan calon pengguna. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuisioner. Hasil validitas penggunaan media audio-visual sebagai media pembelajaran mata pelajaran biologi sangat valid dengan nilai rata-rata persentase 90%. Untuk perolehan nilai dari respon siswa sebesar 84%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media audio-visual sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

This paper consist of research and development of assessment based on game education “Smart Pirates” to facilitate educators in assessing the material of Hydrostatic Pressure and create a fun learning atmosphere for students. The research has been conducted using a research and development theory adapted from Borg and Gall design and consisted of three stages. The research subjects were students of FMIPA UM. The instrument used was a questionnaire and quantitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the assessment developed has met the eligible criteria. "Smart Pirates" can help educators in making assessments effectively and optimally and make students relax in working on the questions well.

Abstract

Assessment can be interpreted as the process to obtain information in any form that can be used for the basis of decision making about students, whether it concerns the curriculum, learning programs, school climate or school policies. This research aims to know how the form and feasibility of assessment to measure the ability of problem solving in the material interaction of living beings with the environment in junior high school in Bengkulu. The type of research used is Research and Development. The development model used is the Borg and Gall models adapted by Sugiyono with 8 stages. Based on the results of expert validation obtained expert assessment score of 88.20%, material expert score of 86.14, linguist score of 88.25%. Based on the results of research in junior high schools in Bengkulu, there are 13 valid questions, SMP B has 13 valid questions, SMP C has 14 valid questions, while the reliability of junior high schools in Bengkulu get good criteria, while the different power of junior high schools in Bengkulu gets 4 groups of items, with categories very difficult, difficult, easy and very easy. while the difficulty level of SMP A item category problem is very difficult there is 1 item, difficult 9 items, easy 3 items, and very easy 2 items. While SMP B category item problem is very difficult there is 1 item, difficult 9 items, easy 1 item and very easy 3 items, while SMP C category item problem is very difficult there is 1 item, difficult there are 8 items, easy there are 4 items and very easy 2 items. While the person fit order from SMP A fit, SMP B there is 1 misfit and SMP C 3 there is misfit.

Abstract

Science learning must oversee the daily life of students. Students are given the opportunity to ask questions, generate ideas, build curiosity about everything in their environment, build the necessary skills, and raise students' awareness that learning science is indispensable for learning. The purpose of this study was to describe and explain the effect of the CLIS (Children Learning In Science) learning model on improving elementary students' scientific literacy. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental research and data analysis techniques using the statistical model Independent Samples T Test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the CLIS (Children Learning In Science) learning model on the increase in scientific literacy of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Banaran Kertosono. In other words, the CLIS (Children Learning In Science) learning model affects elementary students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Observations on the efficacy of yellow bamboo in Wuluhan Village, Jember have been carried out since May-June 2021, this study aims to find information on local knowledge of the people of Wuluhan Village about the properties contained in yellow bamboo plants that can be used for traditional hepatitis treatment. This research uses two stages, namely the first to seek information by exploring the potential of the surrounding community by using participatory observation methods and open interviews that we carried out with several community leaders in Wuluhan Village, the second data collection process that we carried out was using a sample collection technique, namely the snowball technique. sampling and purposive sampling, if the data collection technique that we do is deemed insufficient, we ask for recommendations from sources to find other reliable sources of informants. Analysis of the data used is a literature study with the method of collecting data in the form of open interviews, based on the results of this study it is known that 88% of the people of Wuluhan Village use yellow bamboo shoots as a traditional treatment that can cure hepatitis.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the mastery of concepts activated by respondents when answering questions related to Pascal's law and Archimedes law. This study used a survey method with a test instrument of 10 multiple choice questions on the topic of static fluids using Quizizz. The subjects used to research were physics students from semester 6 to high school students who had received static fluid material. The research was conducted online with a period of 10 days and obtained 34 respondents. The data analysis techniques used were quantitative and qualitative analysis with 51% of the results obtained showed that students were still low in mastering the concept of Pascal's law and Archimedes' law.

Abstract

Wedang Pokak or Pokak syrup is a traditional drink. This drink is made from a mixture of ginger, cinnamon, lime leaves, lemongrass, sugar, and other spices. The people of Probolinggo usually serve this drink during Eid. Pokak syrup is believed to be useful for warming the body, eliminating body odor, and containing natural antioxidants. This ethnographic research was conducted with data collection techniques in interviews and questionnaires as secondary data. Interviews were conducted by purposive sampling, namely producers and consumers of Pokak syrup. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive techniques. The results showed that from 7 types of plants as the main ingredients of Pokak syrup, it could be obtained easily around the community yards of Clarak Village. The most widely used plant organs in making Pokak syrups are the stems and leaves. The materials used belong to different families, including spices, and are angiosperms division.

Abstract

The essence of Natural Science consists of products, processes, and attitudes. The scientific method at the elementary school level is learned gradually. One of them is by involving students to observe their surroundings. One of the science materials at the elementary school level is the ecosystem. Students' understanding of ecosystem material will be very good if students observe directly at the surrounding environment. However, the concept of food chains and food webs is very rarely found directly in the environment at one observation at a time. For that, a website-based learning media is needed on ecosystem materials for fifth grade students of SD Brawijaya Smart. School. This research is a research and development research with the Dick and Carey development model. The subject of this research validator involved one material expert, design expert and learning expert respectively. In addition, this study also involved 25 fifth grade students of SD Brawijaya Smart School to assess the attractiveness of the website application for students. The ecosystem material website application in class V SD Brawijaya Smart School fulfills the feasibility test of several validators. The results of the validation of material experts were 96%, design experts 96%, and learning experts 92%. These results indicate that the website developed is feasible / valid for use in the learning process. This research is limited to the process of developing a check dam to test the validity of the ecosystem website application in class V SD Brawijaya Smart School. Therefore, further research is needed to test the effectiveness of the ecosystem material website application on students' conceptual understanding.
