Darmabakti: Jurnal Inovasi Pengabdian dalam Penerbangan merupakan jurnal nasional yang diterbitkan dua kali setahun pada bulan Juni dan Desember dalam bentuk elektronik dengan E-ISSN: 2775-5568 dan dalam bentuk cetak dengan P-ISSN: 2776-2009. Jurnal nasional ini merupakan suatu bentuk publikasi hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM), dimana hasil PkM berdasarkan SN-DIKTI dapat berupa: (1) penyelesaian masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan keahlian sivitas akademika yang relevan; (2) pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna; (3) bahan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi; dan (4) bahan ajar atau modul pelatihan untuk pengayaan sumber belajar. Darmabakti: Jurnal Inovasi Pengabdian dalam Penerbangan pada umumnya memuat berbagai kegiatan tenaga pengajar dan taruna di lingkungan Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang, dalam menangani dan mengelola berbagai potensi, kendala, tantangan, dan permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Jurnal ini juga terbuka luas untuk penulis dari luar Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang yang ingin turut berpartisipasi mempublikasikan hasil dari kegiatan PkM yang telah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Several cases of violations against the Limited Security Area are still frequent, showing that there is a need for efforts to increase the security of the limited security area through the addition of facilities, as well as training for personnel who handle aviation security. Therefore, the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic in collaboration with UPBU Ranai-Natuna carried out community empowerment through security awareness training for UPBU Ranai-Natuna honorary employees. The purpose of this training is that the participants are able to raise awareness of the importance of security, recognize all forms of threats and anticipate/overcome threats in the airport environment. The activity was held for 3 days, from 1 to 3 December 2020, at UPBU Ranai-Natuna, which was attended by 20 honorary UPBU Ranai-Natuna employees. The results of this activity, it can be concluded that the security awareness training went well and succeeded in achieving the training objectives, as evidenced by all the participants having passed. The results of the evaluation obtained from the questionnaire for the participants received good ratings on the instructor element, and sufficient on the service elements of the organizing committee and the training curriculum. This shows that the instructor is the main determining factor for the success of the participants in participating in the training and the quality of the organizing committee's service still needs to be improved.

Abstract

The study of human factors is about understanding human behavior and performance. When applied to flight operations, human factors are used to optimize the relationship between humans and the system they work in to improve safety and performance. An overview of the effects of human factors in aviation and the importance of self-awareness will be explained in this training. Satisfactory training results were achieved by 16 people, 8 very good people, and 2 people with good credentials with the highest score range of 94.70 and the lowest score of 74.25.

Abstract

Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) is mandatory for 5 flight operators, one of which is the airport as mandated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO Doc 9859, 2019). Palembang Aviation Polytechnic as a work unit in charge of providing training in aviation, through community service activities, implementing Safety Management System Training for 25 participants with different work backgrounds from UPBU Gusti Syamsir Alam, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province. This training is given using lecture methods, project-based learning and group presentations. The training provides increased understanding in the field of the Safety Management System with the result of obtaining a comprehensive exam with 84.96 as the average score. 36% of participants successfully passed with honors, and 64% with Good honors.

Abstract

The awareness of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to Increase working productivity. There are many cases caused the human error and disregard the standard operational procedure related to OHS. This accident may decline of efficiency due to unexpected operational cost. This issues also affect the inefficiency and ineffectively working circumstances. Furthermore, construction project is one of the highest of risk of accident such OHS. Also, this community service activity encourages the awareness of OHS in construction project. This activity target is library construction’s labors in Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. However, it is not limited to workers, this action involves the owners, managers, and supervisors to commit to OHS. The result is to escalating the understanding of OHS procedure in particularly personal protective equipment.

Abstract

In realizing Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services at airport, it must be supported by competent and superior Human Resources (HR). Airport operators must ensure that all personnel employed at that airports receive adequate education and / or training to meet the airport personnel competency standards set by the Director General of Civil Aviation at PM 55 of 2015 concerning airports. To meet the requirements required by the regulation, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic as an organization engaged in education and training collaborates with the Batam Concession Agency in carrying out community service activities through ARFF recurrent basic training with 37 participants. The training aims to improve and refresh the skills and knowledge possessed by ARFF basic level personnel. All participants successfully passed with an average value of 81,10. Then, based on the results of the evaluation of the implementation of the training as well as a whole well.

Abstract

The target and output of this activity are to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education, community service for lecturers in the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic environment, South Sumatra. The activity method used is 1) religious lectures, namely spiritual guidance to the Aviation Polytechnic extended family and local residents; 2) The lecture in which the resource person explained to the Aviation Polytechnic extended family and local residents about the wisdom of sacrificing and following the shari'ah of Prophet Ibrahim AS, fostering awareness and participation of the Aviation Polytechnic family and local residents in fostering a love for others in the manifestation of gratitude and piety Allah SWT; and 3) evidence-based learning, in which the "sacrifices" and the implementation team were invited to work together on how to collect, slaughter, and distribute sacrificial animals. The results obtained from this activity can make the implementation team, the Aviation Polytechnic extended family, and residents 1) follow the shari'ah of Prophet Ibrahim AS; 2) Growing awareness and participation of Muslims (lecturers) in fostering a love for others in the manifestation of taqwa to Allah SWT; 3) Serve the community in strengthening ties of friendship to establish ukuwah Islamiah among residents.

Abstract

School activities during the Covid-19 pandemic forced teachers and students to carry out school activities in the form of learning at home. SD Negeri 05 Bengkulu Tengah uses the home learning method by requiring parents to come to school to collect and submit their children's learning documents. To anticipate this important school administration activity, digital administration training was held for schools so that these activities continued well even during the pandemic. The results of this administrative training are the creation of a school website, school profile videos, knowledge of K13 education report management through the Microsoft Excel application and the use of several online learning applications available on the internet network.

Abstract

The school that is being used as a partner for the Community Service activity that is being proposed is SDN 67 Surabaya District, Bengkulu City. The objectives in this PPM are as follows (1) to increase teacher knowledge about Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) learning approaches that can help students understand mathematics learning materials more easily, (2) to increase teacher knowledge about various mathematics learning media that are in accordance with characteristics of elementary school students, especially for the concept of building space and (3) to improve the skills of teachers in using manipulative learning media, especially for the concept of building space. The method used in this activity is training and mentoring. The training was carried out to increase the knowledge and insight of teachers in using manipulative learning media for the concept of building space in elementary schools. After the target teachers have mastered the knowledge and skills, they are then asked to apply the skills they already have in the actual learning process in the classroom. The result of this community service activity is the preparation of training tools for the application of manipulative learning media for the concept of building space for teachers at SDN 67 Bengkulu City. The Training Activity for Making Manipulative Learning Media for the Concept of Teacher's Space Building at SDN 67 Bengkulu City was held on Saturday, August 23, 2018 until August 28, 2018. 67 Bengkulu City has been implemented well. The purpose of this activity has been achieved.

Abstract

  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan agar meningkatkan pengetahuan  bagi masyarakat desa Marga Sakti Kecamatan Padang Jaya Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara perihal budaya hidup sehat, dengan adanya dampak dari corona virus 19 yang telah mewabah kepenjuru dunia. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan cara ceramah dengan pendampingan bersama narasumber yang berkopetensi yaitu dokter umum yang bertugas sebagai anggota satgas covid dilingkungan rumah sakit rafflesia Bengkulu dan tim dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui penguatan prilaku sosial dalam berinteraksi sehari-hari. Hasil pengabdian diketahui bahwa kesadaran yang tidak berkelanjutan atau konsisten dari masyarakat sehingga budaya menggunakan protokol kesehatan masih dijalankan tidak sesui kebijakan pemerintah yang telah disosialisasikan sehingga peran komunikasi dan interaksi yang intensif dilakukan dengan selalu melakukan sosialisasi dalam saling mengingatkan tatkala tidak menggunakan masker, mencuci tangan dengan air sabun serta menjaga jarak yang wajib dilakukan, diakhir kegiatan tim PPM memberikan keterampilan membuat masker instan.

Abstract

In this era of disruption, the world of education is required to be able to equip students with 21st Century Skills. Not only for students, teachers and lecturers must also be prepared to face these skills. Teachers and lecturers must have strong core competencies, have soft skills include: Critical Thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. To achieve 21st-century skills, learning trends and best practices must also be adjusted, one of which is by using an ICT-based learning model approach such as Learning Media in the form of Animated Videos created using the PowToon application. This activity aims to (1) describe the improvement of skills, especially digital literacy of teachers in making learning media using PowToon, so that later it can improve student understanding (2) increase teacher motivation in using Information Technology, especially using the PowToon application in helping to learn, especially for high school students 4 Kepahiang so that it can motivate teachers to use the latest learning innovations. Method Activities using RPA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) is an approach and method that allows the community to jointly analyze life problems to formulate real plans and policies. The form of this activity is in the form of training or workshops which are attended by 33 teachers of SMAN 4 Kepahiang. From the results of this service, almost all teachers who participated in this activity were enthusiastic and could absorb the material provided well. So it can be concluded that this training activity is running by the desired goals and can be followed up for the next service program.
