Abstract

The work aims at clarifying how the growth mindset plays a vital role in quality management at the Islamic school. As an active response towards industrial revolution 4.0, an Islamic school is faced with complex external challenges, from the issue of radicalism, anti-multiculturalism to tight competitiveness with the public (general) school. An Islamic school tends to feel satisfied with the output that school graduates are Al-Quran memorizers, while the school seems to ignore the input and process. At the same time, the government has stipulated the regulation dealing with national education standards being followed by educational stakeholders. Eight national educational standards become a reference in Islamic school quality management. The school is urged to provide human resources to meet the requirements. Library research was intensively carried out. Growth mindset becomes an essential basis in Islamic schools in developing quality concern as a total quality management philosophy requires continuous improvement tradition. Without a growth mindset in quality management at Islamic schools, quality improvement and school competitiveness are difficult to reach. This manuscript employed some theoretical references, such as mindset and quality.

Is it just visual elements or a way to use the inner space? Whatever the answer is, we will use the term Islamic architecture in this paper. To search and dig out the identities of so-called Islamics. This paper is seeking after these identities and their relations with Islamic culture to solve international architecture concepts without modifications or adaptation. The main goal is to extract the sociocultural aspects that define that architecture to be called Islamic Architecture. An analytical research method uses some attempts to interact the environmental conditions and social aspects with cultural and religious values to define Islamic architecture's identity. The study result and summary could be used to evaluate the satisfaction of the built environment of Muslims when and wherever they are. As a comprehensive result, Islamic Design Principles, Islamic Planning Principles, and Islamic Urban Design Principles could be extracted from Islamic sources and used everywhere at any time by anybody. These design principles may be used to upgrade the workability of the existing residential buildings simply by revising the opening's location, heights, and treatments. As a result, many businesses have been forced to stop and lay off their employees. Not to mention the other impacts besides business, namely health and education. The current economy is more dominated by the capitalist economic system, emphasizing the benefits of bringing a country's economic system's fragility. It is undeniable that the capitalist economic system has created prolonged problems, especially in creating social welfare. Even now, the world has seen the economic system's weakness and fragility, which has been used as the basis for economic development in every country, mostly European and western countries, that exist in the capitalist economic system. At the same time, people see an alternative system that has been proven to create social welfare, namely the Islamic economic system. The Islamic economic system has proven to be an anti-crisis system, be it economic, monetary, or financial crises. It is time for the ummah or society to leave the fragile economic system of Capitalism, to be replaced by an Islamic economic system that has been proven both conceptually, historically, and empirically while in a glorious Islamic civilization from the time of the Prophet Muhammad to the time of the Ottoman Turks.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the low character of students in responding to 21st-century globalization. Because of this, it is important to ask whether curriculum policies have prepared students to be adaptive to these dynamics. This article aims to analyze the character content and the gradations of student social development in the domain of attitudes in the applicable educational curriculum in Indonesia. This study used a qualitative content analysis method with a directed type design and a framework of eight character strengths that took the coding, theoretical approach, findings, and analysis stages of the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia document number 20 of 2016 concerning Basic and Secondary Education Graduate Competency Standards (SKL). The research found: first, the character content is in the attitude domain; spiritual and social, aimed at shaping the character strength of students to become religious, honest, caring, lifelong learners, and physically and mentally healthy; second, the gradation of student social development still focuses on real social development, and has not included the gradation of virtual social development of students as an effort to respond to 21st-century globalization. Therefore, this study recommends the Indonesian government revitalize the character content of SKL in educational curriculum policies by considering two forms of gradation of both real and virtual social development of students as the next generation of the nation.

Therefore, this study aims to describe the strategy of the revitalization of Islamic values in the family. To achieve this goal, a descriptive analysis method is used. To obtain accurate results, this study was conducted in three steps. First, the provision of data with the method of conversation with questionnaire techniques about Islamic values in the family which one of the members is the student. Second, the analytical method used is the eclectic SWAT-functional method. Using SWAT-analysis as one of the methods, the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and challenges of the family to revitalize Islamic values in the era of disruption can be mapped, while using the functional analysis, it can be given the principles of Islamic families. Then, the analyzed data is compiled as a strategy to revitalize Islamic values in the family. Third, the presentation of data informally, namely providing a straightforward explanation of optimizing Strengths-opportunities and strategies to overcome weaknesses (weakness-threats) to revitalize Islamic values in the family. The results of the study were found two types of Indonesian families based on the eight family functions in the Qur'an. Type-A, a good family and strong, namely the fulfillment of family functions between 70% to 90%. The type-B family is not good and not strong because religion and education are not good. This research implies that a strategy is needed to optimize the value of Islamic values in the type A family and strengthen the religiosity function and educational function in the type B family.
