Abstract

Background: A well-organized hospital will determine the kind of service it will render to its patients. This diverse mix of objectives determine the nature of the hospital, its organizational hierarchy, the scope and volume of activities, the number and size of departments, staffing patterns, etc.Objective: The study seeks to examine the health workers and in-patient’s relationship building and to identify the importance of organizational structure in delivering quality services to in-patients.Method: The researchers considered a total of 35 management, and 70 in-patients together in all 105 as the sample size. These consisting of both males and females working in the various functional areas, and operations in the Hospital. This sample size was chosen because it formed a fair representation of the population. Simple random sampling was the sampling technique used for the study.Result: This output also shows that Patients satisfaction have a high positive relationship with Environment & physical ambience, Payment process & Discharge process ,Information flow to family about patient condition & treatment, Janitorial (daily cleaning), and Doctors information about treatment & concerns (administrative polices).Conclusion: It was also recommended that; Management should reduce the number of health workers working under a superior and should also reduce the number of superiors’ management reports to. It was further recommended that, management should, improvement the clarity of communication and information giving to patients’ relatives on patients’ condition and Management should also paste the vision and mission statement of the hospital on walls and vantage points for reminder.

Abstract

Background:Primary school age children are children aged 6-12 years. During school age, growth continues even though it is not as fast as the growth that occurred earlier in infancy or later in adolescenceObjective:Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem in children characterized by a shorter height compared to children their age. Children who suffer from stunting will be more susceptible to disease and as adults are at risk for degnerative diseases, the impact of stunting is not only on the health side but also affects the level of intelligence of the child.Method: This research is an analytical study which aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and environment on the incidence of stunting in school age children at SD 186 Lemahabang, Patoloan Village, Bone-Bone Kab, Luwu Utara in 2019Result:This study shows the nutritional status of the definition of stunting variables, the data obtained are those that are not stunting, 73.33% and those who are stunting 26.2%, The environment of the variable understanding of stunting is obtained by data on students whose respondents are 70% and who are not sufficiently 30%.Conclusion:To produce good performance, the hospital needs to From the results of the data obtained from all of the variables above, it is generally concluded that there is a relationship between the level of nutritional status and the environment on the incidence of stunting

Abstract

Background: MOP (Male Operation Method) is an alternative family planning method for men who have decided they don't want to have more children by undergoing minor surgery on the sperm duct by blocking or blocking the way for the sperm to prevent fertilization.Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of the use of MOP (Male Operation Method) / Vasectomy contraception in Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency.Method: This research is quantitative research with analytics method by using cross sectional study,The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling with a sample size of99 respondents. The data collection employed was a questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using the chi-square test.Result: The results showed that there was an influence between income (p = 0.002), knowledge (p = 0.003), attitude (p = 0.004), wife's support (p = 0.004) with the use of MOP contraception and there was no influence between age (p = 0.082), education (p = 0.465), the number of children (p = 0.204), the number of children wanted (p = 0.876), PLKB (p = 0.267) with the use of MOP contraception.Conclusion: This study is expected to gain a clear understanding of contraceptives and can easily determine their choice of family planning, especially male FP (Male Operation Method).

Abstract

Background: To improve safety and health in the work environment, prevention needs to be taken with attention to psychosocial in the workplace. This is because the workplace is a source of psychosocial risk and also an ideal place to deal with these risks in protecting the health and well-being of workers.Objective: This research aims to know the picture of values in the workplace,interpersonal and leadership relationships, work for an organization, and work content in the workplace at the employees of Hotel X Makassar City.Method: The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. Sampling was conducted by the Total Sampling method of 56 respondents.Result: The results of the study found that 19.6% of categories lack values in the workplace, 12.5% of employees have fewer interpersonal and leadership relationships and the organization of work and work content is 12.5% less.Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that values in the workplace have not been fairly distributed, the lack of social support from colleagues in aspects of interpersonal relationships and leadership, work organization, and worker work content is still lacking in contributing to the organization in the workplace. Therefore, it is expected that the company adjusts between working capacity and workload

Abstract

Background:Medical error is a threat to every patient who wants to take care, therefore the importance of patient safety culture is applied in every hospital to keep patients safer in terms of health careObjective:This research describes the overview of role teamwork dimension, adequate staffand health workers’ perception of patient’s safety culturein the hospitalization unit of Dr. Tajuddin Chalid Hospital of MakassarMethod: It uses a descriptive quantitative approach to explain the issue. The research samples consist of 107 health workers stationed at the hospitalization unit by utilizing the purposive sampling techniqueResult: The findings show that the patient safety culture falls into a moderate category (57.0%). Teamwork on moderate category 55,1%, adequate staff on moderate category (65.4%), and health workers’ perception of patient’s safety on moderate category (77.6%)Conclusion: This research concludes that the safety culture in the hospitalization unit of Dr. Tajuddin Chalid Hospital of Makassar is classified moderate, signifying that the health workers have practiced the patient safety culture by the Patient Safety Standards (PSS) despite some lacking in several areas. It also encourages following the SOP by conducting training and workshops for the health workers.

Abstract

Background: Performance is the result of work achieved by a person or group of people in an organization according to their authority and responsibilities. Good performance can be achieved by increasing work motivation. The higher a person's work motivation, the higher the performance produced. Objective : To analyze the relationship between Work Motivation and Performance in Inpatient Room Melati and Seruni Hospital Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu.Method: This study uses survey analytic with cross sectional design. Population in this study were all nurses at Inpatient ward of Melati and Seruni, Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu Hospital, with the amount of 43 nurses. Data analysis techniques were performed by univariate and bivariate analysis with the Spearmen Rank Test.Result: this study are based on the Spearmen Rank Test obtained significance value (sig) of 0.220 with p-value = 0.156. Conclusion: Because the value of p> 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between Work Motivation with Nurses Performance at Inpatient ward of Melati and Seruni, Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu Hospital.

Abstract

Background:Covid-19 can spread from person to person people through splashes from the nose or mouth which comes out when people who contract Covid-19 cough or exhale. People most at risk contracting this disease is a person who is in close contact with Covid-19 patients including those who treat. Objective:Covid-19 has been declared a pandemic world by WHO (WHO, 2020). Nationally it has been specified status of disaster emergency outbreak of disease due to Coronavirus in Indonesia.Method:The design of this study is a cross-sectional study with non-sampling techniques probability sampling is purposive sampling. Sample in this study, there were 50 people.Result: the results of the study showed that many respondents have a good knowledge category 44 people, and have positive behavior that's as many as 40 people. Next, the results of the analysis using fisher's exact test obtained results p = 0.000 (< 0.05) which means there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior of the community in applying social distance as a precautionary measure Covid-19.Conclusion:From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and community behavior in applying social distance as one of the Covid-19 prevention measures in Bawalipu Village

Abstract

Background:One indicator of the successful prevention of medical emergency patients is the response time of health workers. Response time A fast will reduce the incidence of death by about 30%, on the other hand, if the delayed response time is will have an adverse impact, resulting in permanent disability and death.Objective:This study aims to determine the factors related to the response time of nurses in handling emergencies in the Emergency Room(IGD), Operating Room (OK), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Ilagaligo East Luwu Hospital 2020. Method: Thestudy is a cross-sectional study. The population in this study were all nurses in the IGD, OK, and ICU Lagaligo I Hospital, East Luwu. The sampling technique was total sampling with a total of60 nurses.Result:The results showed that there was a relationship (p-value <0.034) between education (p = 0.05), years of service (p = 0.016), and training (p = 0.034) with the response time of nurses at Lagaligo I Hospital in 2020. It is hoped that the hospital will continue to encourage staff/employees, in this case, nurses, to continue their education and continuous training to support the professionalism of all nurses. Conclusion:The incidence of the response time of slownurses in patients is due to the absence of good cooperation with the patient's family.It is hoped that the hospital will provide support and motivation to nurses to improve their education by existing standards.

Abstract

Background: Currently PTM has become the biggest cause of deathin the world. As many as 38 million (68%) of the 56 million deaths in the world in 2012 were caused by PTM. Coronary heart disease is one of the non-communicable diseases with the largest mortality rate.Objective: This study aims to analyze the factors associated with a history of heart disease in the participants of the South Sulawesi Expo 2018.Method: The type of research used is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach.Sampling using purposive sampling technique so that the number of samples is 107 peopleResult: There is a significant relationship between a history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, stroke, and cancer in the family against a history of heart disease (p <0.05) in the 2018 South Sulawesi Expo participants, while there is no significant relationship between the history of asthma and cholesterol. smoking behavior, consumption of fruits and vegetables, physical activity, and alcohol consumption (p> 0.05) on the history of heart disease among participants in South Sulawesi Expo 2018.Conclusion: Government involvement is needed to provide education for the community related to the prevention of PTM, and for the community to continue to strive to improve patterns of life to avoid PTM.

Abstract

Background: According to the Indonesian National Standard number 03-3985-2000, fire is a phenomenon that occurs when a material reaches a critical temperature and reacts chemically with oxygen to produce heat, flames, light, water vapor, carbon monoxide, or other products and effects. Fires are caused by various factors, either due to human factors or technical factors.Objective: This study aims to determine the application of fire management system audits in RS X Regency Y. Method:With a qualitative method through a case study approach.Determination of informants using the snowball method. Data collection was carried out by observation and in-depth interviews which were processed using content analysis, and triangulation of sources and methods was carried out.Result:The results showed that RS X had formed a fire organization by-laws and regulations, fire procedures did not run well when a fire broke out, and during the simulation, there were still technical obstacles when using fire tools.Conclusion:It is hoped that the management of X Regency Y Hospital will pay more attention to planning, training, and providing fire disaster preparedness.
