Abstract

Indonesia has various kinds of problems, especially the character of the younger generation who are increasingly far from the values ​​of Pancasila. Civic education is the solution to the crisis of youth character in Indonesia because it is a study that develops three competencies, namely civic knowledge, civic disposition, and civic skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the development of civic education in building the character of the nation and the role of civic education in formal education. This study uses a qualitative approach by utilizing library research methods. The data collection technique with documentation and data analysis used is content data analysis. Since the founding of the Indonesian state, civics education from year to year has changed the material covered in it to be taught to students and always changes in the use of terms. Civic education can be provided in every educational path, from informal, and formal, to non-formal education, because civic education is the spearhead in instilling Pancasila values. Civic education can also be used as a vehicle for democratic education so that it can form citizens who have a democratic character based on Pancasila and UUD 1945. Through civic education, it is hoped that students will be able to master and apply the values ​​of Pancasila so that they can become good citizens.

Abstract

Mahasiswa sebagai agent of change dituntut bisa berpartisipasi aktif dalam membangun bangsa. Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MB-KM) memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengambil bagian terjun langsung ke masyarakat menyelesaikan permasalahan negara. Kampus Mengajar merupakan salah satu program MB-KM dengan tujuan menuntaskan masalah literasi dan numerasi pendidikan di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap program kampus mengajar dalam mengembangkan keterampilan partisipasi kewarganegaraan mahasiswa. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, metode studi kasus, dan analisis data menggunakan triangulasi data dari hail observasi, wawancara dan catatan lapangan selama program kampus mengajar. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa program kampus mengajar dapat mengembangkan keterampilan partisipasi kewarganegaraan mahasiswa. Mahasiswa dapat mengaktualisasikan kemampuan partisipasi kewarganegaraannya melalui gerakan yang nyata berupa inovasi dalam pembelajaran sehingga pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan. Mahasiswa dapat membantu meningkatkan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi generasi bangsa serta membantu melakukan adaptasi teknologi khususnya bagi pengajar ataupun sekolah yang belum terlalu mengenal teknologi.

Abstract

At the tertiary level, Citizenship Education is not only aimed at fostering a sprit of nationalism in students, but also developing the soft skills and character needed to face the world of work. However, there are many obstacles that occur in the implementation of civics education in tertiary institutions, one of which is the saturation of students facing civics education material, the lecture’s lack of creativity in presenting civics education courses, such as too often using conventional learning systems, too conceptual and too little linking material with real problem. Conditionc that occur in society, conditions like this certainly make the goals of citizenship education increasingly difficult to realize, because it can reduce students’ interest in learning, skills and critical thingking abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of citizenship practice on students’ critical thingking skills. The research usede a qualitative approach with the case study method, them analyzed data by triangulating data from the results of observations, interviews and field notes during the citizenship practice process. The results of this study indicate that citizenship practice is able to make the civics education learning process more interesting, generate creativity and be able to develop students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

To make Civic Education learning more functional, it is best to change the paradigm of Civic Education, which was originally a teaching program and transfer of civic knowledge to a means of legal Education. Civic education learning is felt to be less than optimal because the concept of Civic education learning is just a delivery of information from teachers to students, and students only memorize material instead of interpreting and understanding the content of the material, so it's time for the paradigm to be changed to maximize the function of Civic Education. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study design, namely activities to collect information relevant to the topic or problem that is the object of the research. Implementing Legal Education in Civic Education is one of the efforts to create law-abiding citizens so that they can carry out their rights and obligations as citizens. This condition is very relevant to what is the goal of Civic Education. So Legal Education in Civic Education is an effort to achieve the goals of Civic Education. Legal Education is not limited to Legal Education which prepares professionals to build a national system. For this reason, Education, especially Civic Education, must be developed within the framework of legal awareness, both in formal and non-formal Education..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia Daerah (KPAID) Sumatera Utara dalam memberikan perlindungan bagi anak berkonflik dengan hukum. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Penulis mengambil lokasi penelitian di KPAID Sumatera Utara. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini hanya 5 orang yang merupakan Komisioner di KPAID Sumatera Utara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa kasus anak berkonflik dengan hukum yang masuk ke daftar pengaduan KPAID Sumatera Utara didominasi oleh kasus pencurian, pelecehan seksual dan perkelahian. KPAID memiliki misi untuk menjauhkan anak dari penjara dengan mengedepankan penyelesaian masalah di luar proses formal peradilan (diversi) dan lebih menawarkan bentuk sanksi pembinaan bagi anak berkonflik dengan hukum guna kepentingan masa depannya. Pembinaan, pengawasan dan koordinasi dengan segenap pihak yang terkait dalam masalah perlindungan anak terus dilakukan demi menyadarkan mereka dalam hal perlindungan anak.

Abstract

Indonesian struggle since the pioneering Indonesian nationalist movement, the youth play an active role as the spearhead in delivering the nation of Indonesia is an independent, unified and sovereign. Youth has a function and a strategic role so that the need to develop the potential and its role through awareness, empowerment, and development as part of national development. Indonesia is a country with a large number of youth so that needs guidance. Youth is one of the appropriate container in building and preparing the younger generation and printing leadership cadres of our nation's future. Through various activities and programs that support employment and contribute positively to the nation's youth. including; (1) Routine Meeting, (2) Sports, (3) Spirituality, (4) Education and Training. All these activities are packed in order to print the character of the young generation intelligent leadership in thinking, strong in the physical, and noble.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan tentang nilai-nilai yang ada pada tradisi baayun mulud yang mana sebagai salah satu tradisi lokal yang bernuansa religius di kalangan masyarakat Banjar. Dengan melakukan penelusuran di berbagai literatur yang relevan dengan penelitian ini seperti; buku, jurnal, koran, media internet, video tentang upacara baayun mulud kota Banjarmasin (Kuin Utara), maka dapat ditegaskan bahwa meskipun terlihat jelas upacara baayun mulud ini dengan nilai-nilai seperti musyawarah, gotong royong, solidaritas, ketaatan (religi), nilai budaya, ekonomi. Datangnya agama islam ke daerah Kalimantan khususnya bagi masyarakat Banjar, di mana kedatangan Islam tidaklah menghapus habis seluruh tradisi budaya lokal yang pernah ada di tengah-tengah masyarakat, namun menggantikan nilai-nilai agama kedalam sebuah kebudayaan tanpa menghilangkan kebudayaan tersebut. Tradisi baayun mulud ini yang dipandang masih layak dipertahankan dan dilestarikan dan banyak mengandung nilai-nilai positif.

Abstract

Management quality school is a quality improvement rests on the school itself, implies a set of techniques based on quantitative and qualitative availability of data, as well as the empowerment of all components of the school to continually improve the capacity and ability of school organization to meet the needs of learners and society. This research method used survey method with quantitative research approach. Samples taken at random as many as 100 teachers spread of 30 majors of 10 Vocational High School in the Subang district education offices. While the research instruments in the form of a questionnaire enclosed with Likert scale. The analysis technique used correlation and regression. Based on the results of data processing can be concluded that 1). Y Variable quality of school or are in very high category, 2). As for the leadership to be in very high category, 3). leadership contribution to the quality of vocational schools in the district corms are very high 42.90%. Based on the research suggested there was still need improvement, especially in the aspect 1). school environment that is safe and orderly, 2). schools have a mission and quality targets to be achieved, the school has a strong leadership.

Abstract

This research was based on the increase of campaign attributes to welcome presidential election in 2014 which ruined the aesthetic of Bandung and ruined twitter usage by public, particularly the youth. Presidential election is one of the political participations used by Indonesian citizens. It goes every five years. Therefore, citizens need to know and recognize the figures of the candidates to prevent them from choosing the wrong one. But, this every-five-year democratic party frequently ruined the aesthetic of city. The campaign attributes brought by team success of candidates were often embedded randomly. People concerned it as a non effective way to introduce presidential candidates. The development of science and technology has apparently affected all of human aspects, including politics. One of the new phenomenon happened to global society is cyberspace communication (twitter). The twitter facilitates people to know every information, track record, and trending topic about Indonesian presidential candidates in 2014. Students, as youth, has also taken their part in this election. Their parts were very important. The widespread use of twitter among students who have the right to choose definitely influenced their preference as young voters. This research has three questions, (1) how are students’ presidential candidates preferences in Bandung?, (2) what are the biggest factors that influenced students’ presidential candidates preferences in Bandung?, (3) how much the influence of twitter among students or young voters in Bandung towards their presidential candidates preferences? The writer used several theories to analyze the data. First of all, the writer used persuasive theory from Dan Nimo for X variable. Next, the writer used voters’ preferences theory from Ridwan for Y variable. In addition, the writer also took the survey using quantitave approach to find out the correlation between twitter and students’ preferences in Bandung towards presidential elections in 2014. The results of this research indicated that (1) young voters or students’ preferences in Bandung were twitter figures and popularities. It took 86% coefficient of determination. (2) the biggest factor which was influenced students’ preferences in Bandung was peer group’s opinions. It took 88% coefficient of determination. (3) social network –twitter- as socialization media of presidential candidates in 2014 had influenced young voters or students’ preferences in Bandung. It took 72% coefficient of determination.

Abstract

Nilai-nilai keislaman dan kasundaan sangat tepat sekali dijadikan sebagai bagian dari isi pendidikan ilmu pengetahuan sosial yang disampaikan secara integratif melalui pengajaran Penglingsosbudtek. Metode dalam penelitian ini mengguganakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: 1) Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (PIPS) dalam hal ini pendidikan nilai, moral dan agama merupakan suatu program pendidikan yang harus dikenal, diresapi, diinternalisasi dan diamalkan oleh seluruh guru dan siswa, agar menjadi manusia yang utuh dan berjiwa sosial. Sehingga manusia yang utuh adalah manusia kaffah, dalam arti satunya niat, ucap, fikir, perilaku dan tujuan yang direalisasikan dalam hidup bermasyarakat dan itu semua diperhadapkan kepada Allah SWT. 2) Terjadi integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman ke dalam materi penglingsosbudtek. 3) Materi penglingsosbudtek tidak gersang dari nilai-nilai keislaman, materi penglingsosbudtek sesuai dengan central values. 4) Proses kegiatan belajar-mengajar integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman ke dalam materi penglingsosbudtek di samping memperhatikan perencanaan, juga memperhatikan beberapa hal berikut ini sehingga kegiatan belajar mengajar tersebut menjadi lebih efektif. 5) Hambatan pada mahasiswa yang kesulitan berinteraksi dengan dosen yang mengintegrasikan nilai keislaman ke dalam materi penglingsosbudtek karena adanya kesulitan memahami tafsir Al-Qur'an dan lain-lain, maka dosen memberikan kursus singkat tafsir Al-Qur'an untuk memudahkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap nilai keislaman yang terintegrasi.
