Abstract

Development must be carried out in every nation. Change from bad to better is development. There is a close relationship between development and the surrounding environment. Development affects the environment and is influenced by the environment. Development will be successful if the environment is maintained, such as not littering, not cutting down trees, planting trees, and sorting waste. Environmental sustainability can only be achieved through environmental protection. As development actors, the environment that is not maintained and cared for will be damaged and can result in various disasters such as floods, erosion, and other threats to human life. Likewise, when the rainy season begins in Bandar Lampung City, floods occur everywhere. This is because there are still many people who do not know how important it is to protect the environment. One example is throwing garbage in the river so that it clogs the flow of the river and garbage is thrown away in the wrong place. With this community service, it is hoped that the community will be more aware of the need to protect the environment by not littering, not cutting down trees, and sorting waste

Abstract

The orphanage is a social institution that aims to shape the development of children, such as orphans, orphans, orphans, abandoned children.  Children will feel safe, receive support, attention if they feel their presence is accepted by all parties.  However, in reality these expectations are difficult to achieve due to lack of attention from caregivers, facilities, unable to form warm relationships with other people.  Through service activities, students do service to the children of the Al-Washliyah Orphanage, Kec.  Binjai City, Binjai.  Beginning with institutional observations.  There were several problems with children, such as frequent fights, bullying, harsh words to others, and lack of hygiene.  The intervention method used in this service is the Mezzo Intervention by Zastrow consisting of: Intake/Engagement, Assessment, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Termination.  The results of the service are able to foster good character behavior through sharing session programs, self-introspection letters, learning groups, socializing the impact of bullying, making rules, sanctions.  The implications of this service activity are able to contribute to forming a good personality, attitude, tolerance for orphans.

Abstract

The tourism industry is currently growing rapidly. The tourism village program, which is currently being promoted by the government, encourages young people who are members of youth organizations to be able to promote tourist attractions in their villages. In a tourism village program, ideally young people among village cadets serve as guides, guides and even determine the success of this program. Youth in Karang taruna need to have basic English for Tourism in order to be able to describe and promote the tourism of the village to tourists who visit later. However, the facts found in the field that there are still many  Karang  taruna members who are unable to communicate  English. They are not at all familiar with English. Based on that phenomenon, this activity aims to  help  introducing and maximizing  basic English learning for Karang Taruna  members in the Sintoga District, Padang Pariaman. The target to be achieved is that the Karang Taruna members of the youth group understand the basics of English and can properly promote tourist attractions in their village. The method used in this community service is a communicative approach method, by training Karang Taruna members to be able to communicate in English contextually. The results of this training show that  the enthusiasm of the Karang Taruna members  to learn and improve their English skills. Their responds are  positive.Next,  it is hoped that this program can be continued regularly in the future

Abstract

Arabic language program management has been widely applied to formal education in Indonesia, however, there are differences and similarities in program management in actuating between one formal institution and another. For this reason, the objectives of this study are to describe the differences in Arabic language program management; to describe the similarities of Arabic language program management; to analyze Arabic language program management at in terms of actuating (objectives, approaches and strategies, methods, materials and learning resources, as well as class division). This research uses library research with descriptive method. The results of this study are the similarities of formal educational institutions, namely in the objectives, although there are innovations from the institutions themselves, methods, and class divisions; the differences are in the methods, materials, and approaches and strategies used; the objectives namely: GBPP there are also those who adopt from other institutions, approaches and strategies using teacher-centred only and on teachers and students, methods mostly use the tarjamah grammatical, reading, memorization, and others, on learning materials and resources using books which was printed by the founder and based on Arabic subjects, and the class division was only two divisions (the ula class and the wustho class).

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 outbreak, many learning activities have been carried out online. Learning uses online media, exam questions can be made using technology that utilizes the internet as a medium, such as using the Google Form application. Besides that, Google Forum has a feature that is easy to use for uploading and downloading questions and answers. This community service is carried out with the aim of adding insight and increasing technological skills to educators and education staff in utilizing the Google form to make questions. The methods used in community service activities are lectures, demonstrations and questions and answers. The conclusions that can be drawn from this training activity are 1) it can increase the knowledge and insight of teachers and employees in understanding the Google form application as a medium for making questions. 2) Improve skills in applying google form media. 3) Increasing the ability of educators and educational staff in carrying out learning activities and using the Google Form application to help smooth learning activities in schools.

Abstract

The soul and values ​​of nationalism are very important to apply to students. In an effort to develop a spirit of nationalism in students, Rumah Pintar the Dolok Marsait Foundation, builds during a pandemic, which is one of the activities carried out for the children of the nation's generation, with the hope that it will foster a sense of love for the motherland and instill the values ​​of nationalism and Pancasila. The purpose of carrying out this activity is to instill a spirit of nationalism by introducing national and national anthems to students, sharpening the meaning of Pancasila as the basis of the state so as to foster a sense of love for the motherland and instill nationalism and Pancasila values ​​in students as the next generation of the nation so that created morals and morals in accordance with existing values. The target of this activity is students studying at the Dolok Marsait Foundation's smart house to build in order to create a generation of nations who have character with the spirit of defending the country and love for the motherland. This activity lasts for approximately 3 months which is carried out at each learning meeting. From this activity it can be seen that a sense of togetherness and nationalism grows within the students.

Abstract

Based on the problems experienced by SMKS YPK Merauke, namely the low ability and interest in reading and writing of students and the existence of friendship patterns based on ethnicity and class so that conflicts between friends often occur, the Literature Workshop program to Strengthen Cultural and Citizenship Literacy was held. Literature workshops are a solution to the problem of the low ability and interest in reading and writing of students, while Cultural and Citizenship Literacy are to overcome problems where there are still classifications and disputes between students. Methods in the implementation of Literature Workshop are; 1) Open Workshop; the introduction stage of the Literary Workshop Program and the Cultural and Citizenship Literacy Movement, 2) Disassembling; the practice stage of reading and writing literary works with cultural themes, and 3) Patchy; the mentoring stage through consultation on student work and evaluation of Program Sustainability. The result of this activity; 1) Increasing students' understanding of the world of literature and cultural literacy and citizenship as measured through tests at the end of Open Workshop activities, 2) Increasing students' competence in reading and writing as measured through practice making short stories with the theme of Papuan folklore, and 3) Increasing social skills and mutual respect for cultural differences as measured by assignments using the case study method, 4) Drafts of folklore collection by students, 5) Drafts of Cultural and Citizenship literacy programs by teachers.

Abstract

The empowerment of society is conducted at a Vocational Boarding School, namely SMK Entrepreneur Al-Wasath. The school is located at West Lombok district. Based on the observation and interview, SMK has a lack of knowledge of plastic waste management and also out of environmental ethics; the school burns the plastic waste. This empowerment aims to explain and demonstrate an effective way to handle the plastic waste through making eco-bricks. Eco-brick is a packing clean and dry plastic waste into a clean plastic bottle.  There are three main stages in this empowerment; the first stage is before empowerment that is observing and interviewing the school to identify the issue of waste. The second stage is implementing the empowerment through  explaining the importance of plastic waste management and the economic value added of eco-brick, and demonstrating how to make the eco-brick. The third stage is evaluation through requesting the participants to complete the eco-brick. From these activities, the participants follow all the process clearly. The empowerment encourages the participants to implement the plastic waste management by making eco-brick in their daily life. Making an eco-brick is not only reducing the volume of plastic waste, but also getting an economic benefit.

Abstract

Teaching Campus batch 4 is one of the Free Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) programmes launched by the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, this programme has run for three semesters. The Teaching Campus allows students to practise learning outside of the classroom for one semester in order to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills in assigned schools. Students collaborate with teachers to develop learning models and strategies in the target education units. Three female students, accompanied by Field Supervisors, completed the Teaching Campus Program Batch 4 at SDN 03 Sukada, Ciawigebang District, Kuningan Regency. Pre-assignment activities, assignments, work programme implementation, and assignment completion are examples of activities. Students carry out work programmes with the approval of Field Supervisors and the school in order to strengthen literacy, numeracy, digital technology adaptation, and administration for students and SDN 03 Sukadana. The Campus Teaching Program Batch 4 results for students include: (1) being able to improve students' learning literacy abilities in grades 1-6. (2) The ability to improve numeracy learning for both low and high school students. (3) Can improve digital technology adaptation introduction and application in student learning in grades 1-6. (4) Assisting schools in the organisation of classrooms, libraries, and school administration. (5) Has the potential to improve students' character, will, interest, talent, and mentality in learning activities both inside and outside the classroom. Students and Field Supervisors' presence at SDN 03 Sukadana had a significant impact on educational progress; the benefits of the campus teaching programme batch 4 were felt by students, parents, and teachers.

Abstract

Regulations on the use of the budget by the Village Government are constantly changing. These changing regulations require village officials and the community to understand the latest regulations in order to be able to make development budget priorities, including for preparing programs that support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Community Service Activities aim as a forum to provide understanding and knowledge to village officials about (a) the Concept and Definition of SDG's; (b) The role of the village in realizing SDG's; (c) Development planning to realize SDG's. In order to achieve these goals, the solution is to carry out counseling to participants using the lecture method accompanied by discussion. This activity was said to have run well and was successful as assessed by several indicators, namely: (1) The participants who attended were village officials and community leaders had understood the material presented. (2) The village government has a superior development plan in order to encourage the achievement of SDG's. Suggestions regarding this activity are (1) Teams can carry out activities at the same location in the form of development planning technical assistance so that programs can be developed to achieve SDG's; (2) Public participation needs to be increased in development planning.
