Abstract

Tourism schools must have a good and structured student acceptance flow. In this activity, it is assessed that the target of prospective students every year will be fulfilled with the help of competent human resources, namely marketing assistant. There are three things affecting each and every marketing assistant such as motivation, work environment, and job performance. This research aims to determine the influence of motivation (X) to work performance (Y) with work environment (Z) as a moderate. The research methods used is quantitative descriptive and the tool is SPSS 24. Data analysis uses simple linear regression analyses and multiple linear regressions with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) tests. The samples in this study were marketing assistants of Trisakti School of Tourism, Jakarta. The questionnaire given using random sampling techniques and measured with a questionnaire of 33 statements. The result shows that the work environment is not a moderation variable. It is found out that both motivation and work environment are influential together in determining performance. These results also prove that the working environment is as independent variable in conjunction with performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of how much online ordering of food and beverages on sales at Pokke Sushi. This research method uses decriptive correlational method. The population in this study were consumers or buyers at Pokke Sushi from various groups ranging from students, university students, entrepreneurs and others. The technieque of collecting data is by distributing accidental questionnaires, observing and reading books or journals related to the tittle. The results of this study are (1) Online food ordering applications can affect sales at Pokke Sushi by 58% (2) the average respondent is satisfied with what Pokke Sushi provides, with a correlation value of 0.851 which means there is a very strong relationship. Abstract

One of the antiquities of tourism is that MICE have benefit from various parties as well as the Indonesia Convention Exhibition which is the largest exhibition building in Southeast Asia. Many people have rented rooms especially for weddings at ICE BSD. In this case the existence of an interest in buying on a wedding package, can not be separated with sales promotion activities and personal selling carried out at the company and it is important to be owned by the company in terms of attracting interest in buying a wedding package. Therefore, the authors conducted research to determine how much influence the sales promotion and personal selling carried out at ICE BSD on the purchase intention of wedding package. The method used is descriptive quantitative, the data obtained from the distribution of questionnaries totaling 88 respondents. The sample collection method uses non-probability sampling technique. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaries using a Likert scale online using Google Forms. Analysis of the data in the study using SPSS. This study used a simultaneous test with 2 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. Likert scale uses with 4 scores. The results of the analysis through the test of determination show that sales promotion and personal selling variables have an effect on buying interest by 52,9% while the remaining 47,2% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Airlines compete with each other to provide the best service in order to increase the number of customers. One of the domestic airlines including Low Cost Carrier is AirAsia Indonesia which is based in Tangerang, Banten, and serves domestic and foreign flight routes. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of AirAsia Indonesia staffs’ service quality towards the customer satisfaction. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. Primary data of this study were collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who use the airline. Data analysis uses validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistics, correlation test, coefficient of determination, and simple linear regression test. It is found that R Count> R Table so all statements in the questionnaire distributed to respondents were valid. From the results of data processing, it can be seen that the quality of service has a fairly high influence on customer satisfaction at AirAsia Indonesia, as much as 65.9%.

Abstract

The study aims to discover the development of sport tourism in Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatra. The study uses qualitative method in which data gathered using interview, observation and documentation. The data is analyzed using SWOT. The result shows that although the potential of sport tourism in Lubuk Linggau is very good, but there are some factors that make it hard to develop. Those three factors are the lack of good human resource in tourism, the inability for the local government to cooperate with other parties in pentahelix, and the inability to make an attractive packaging for the market. Therefore, it is suggested to develop a better access to tourism destinations and to improve the skills of tourism human resource as well as to improve the tourism-based services and increase its marketing.

Abstract

This study was aimed at knowing the occupancys of room at Imara Hotel Palembang and finding out the suitability of the room attendant quantity. This study is quantitative descriptive method with observation, interview, and questionnaire data collection techniques. Based on the results of research, the room occupancy rate at Hotel Imara Palembang for the period January to July was 41% with information on the number of rooms available (15,264 rooms), occupied rooms (6,272 rooms), empty rooms (5,613) and empty rooms (8,989 rooms). Based on the results of the formula, the suitability of the number of room attendants at Hotel Imara Palembang is not in accordance with the occupancy rate of rooms, because has two room attendants, while requires three room attendants to carry out the operational process of cleaning guest rooms efficiently.

Abstract

Since hosting the Sea Games and Asean Games, Palembang has become one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia. To support its role as a tourist destination, the existence of accommodation is clearly needed. The study was conducted to find out the standards of public toilet hygiene, which is one of the most important parts of a hotel. There are five hotels that are used as qualitative research objects. Data is taken through interviews, surveys and literature studies. The results obtained state that the standard in each hotel is perfect with a value of one hundred each. The advice given is that the cleanliness that has been achieved should be maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Instagram social media in improving the image of Anyer beach tourism through organizing the Anyer Krakatau Culture Festival event and promoting it to the public through the Instagram account @akcf_official. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The determination of the informants was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with three informants as key informants and one informant as secondary informants. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The validity technique is done by data triangulation. The theory used in this study is the CMC (Communication Mediated Computer) theory and using the PR Transfer Process model.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the Tunda Island as a maritime tourism destination. It was reviewed by using SWOT analysis. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, documentation studies, and focus group discussion. Results of research conducted shows that the Island Tunda as a maritime tourist attraction has the power in the form of underwater beauty. Besides, it also has a big opportunity in terms of strategic location and not far from the center city. But Tunda Island has several weaknesses in the form of human resource and low tourism awareness, as well as waste problem. The challenges faced by Tunda Island is the preservation of underwater parks that can be threatened when many tourists who come and tourism activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of word of mouth intensity, positive valence word of mouth, and word of mouth content partially and simultaneously to the decision of domestic tourists visiting Peucang Island tourism object in Pandeglang. The population in this study were individuals who had made tourist visits at Peucang Island at Ujung Kulon National Park in Pandeglang. This research uses non probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique, and the sample used is 120 people. The result of data analysis shows that: 1) Word of mouth intensity has a positive and significant influence on the decision of domestic tourists visiting Peucang Island in Pandeglang District; 2) Word of mouth positive valence through social media instragram has a positive and significant influence on the decision of domestic tourists visiting Peucang Island in Pandeglang; 3) Word of mouth content through social media instagram have a positive and significant influence on the decision of domestic tourists visit Peucang Island in Pandeglan; 4) Word of mouth intensity, positive valence word of mouth and word of mouth content, meaning word of mouth intensity, positive valence word of mouth and word of mouth content through social media instagram simultaneously has a positive and significant influence on the decision of domestic tourists visiting Peucang Island in Pandeglang.
