Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze factors affecting the decisions of the students in selecting courses (Y) with a focus on Brand Equity factor (X1) consist ing of Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty, Perceive Quality, Brand Association and Factors of Reference Group (X2 ) which are Normative and Informational. Then, they are analyzed using factor analysis resulting in the formation of new factors at the Department of Business Administration, State Polytechnic Banjarmasin. This research method used explanatory research by distributing questionnaires to the samples of respondents, students of the Department of Business Administration. The department consists of three study programs: Business Administration, Informative Management and Banking. The number of samples were 100 people (purposive sampling). Then the data were analyzed using factor analysis which resulted in the formation of new factors that indicated factors of brand loyalty (X1), Normative and Informational reference groups (X2), brand awareness (X3), Brand Asosiation (X4), the influence of external environment (X5), quality of human resources (X6), and atmosphere and learning facility factors (X7), and then the analysis was followed by multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effects simultaneously and partially of the newfactors to the decisions in choosing a study program at the Department of Business Admninistration, State Polytechnic Banjarmasin. The results showed that factors of of brand loyalty (X1), normative and informational reference groups (X2), brand awareness (X3), brand association (X4), the influence of external environment (X5), quality of human resources (X6), and atmosphere and learning facility factors (X7) simultaneously gave significant effects on the decisions in choosing study programs in Business Administration Department, State Polytechnic Banjarmasin. Partially, brand loyalty (X1), normative and informational reference groups (X2), brand awareness (X3), the influence of external environment (X5) significantly influence the decisions in choosing study programs (Y). and brand asosiation (X4), quality of human resources (X6) and atmosphere and learning facility factors (X7) partially did not affect the decisions in selecting a study program (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on student satisfaction, the influence of service quality on student motivation, the influence of service quality on student loyalty, and analyzing the mediation of student satisfaction on the influence of service quality to student's motivation and loyalty. This research is a quantitative research. This research method used questionnaire with 157 students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin Level II Diploma III program and has been selected from Population 260 students. Measurement of variables using Likert Scale technique. Data analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of the research shows that service quality has an effect on student satisfaction, student motivation and student loyalty, but student's satisfaction has no direct effect to student's motivation and loyalty and does not mediate the influence of good service quality to student's motivation and loyalty.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of service through the variable tangible, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy, to customer satisfaction PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Branch of Banjarmasin. This study is a qualitative study using data from questionnaires completed by a sample of 150 samples of the total number of service users PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Branch of Banjarmasin period from January to June 2015. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, with testing through Test f, t Test and Test Coefficient of Determination (R2). The results showed that partially and simultaneously, the five dimensions of service quality that is tested through variable tangible, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy, influence on customer satisfaction PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Branch of Banjarmasin with level of significant 5%.

Abstract

Gold jewelry is the type of products that are most frequently encountered in everyday life, many things that make someone decide to buy gold jewelry, this study aimed to analyze the factors that influence purchasing decisions gold jewelery, where environmental factors, psychological and individuals in hypothesize influence the purchasing decisions of gold jewelry. The population used is the buyers of gold jewelry in the city of Banjarmasin, 220 respondents drawn using purposive sampling technique. The analysis used in this study is the examination of the structural equation model to test the hypothesis by using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with statistical analysis tools AMOS 18. These results indicate that environmental factors have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, psychological factors significantly influence purchasing decisions and the individual factors also significantly influence the purchasing decisions of gold jewelry in the city of Banjarmasin. Based on this research, the advice of research that can be done is that marketers can consider psychological factors as a marketing strategy, especially in Banjarmasin. Based on the research development agenda of future research should examine other variables that have not been studied and is also directed at the sample and area larger studies eg all South Kalimantan region or on different objects such as agate, diamonds or other.

Abstract

Customers purchasing products is the main goal of marketing, so that factors that influence purchasing decisions are important to be known. This study aims to analyze factors that influence motorcyle purchasing decisions. It is hypothesized that external factors, internal factors and lifestyle influence motorcyle purchase decisions. The population used in this research was motorcycle buyers in the city of Banjarmasin. 150 respondents were taken as samples using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach. The analysis technique used in this research is a structural equation model (SEM) and the hypothesis is tested by using statistical analysis with 18.0 AMOS program. The results of this study indicate that (1) external factors have direct and significant effect on purchasing decisions; (2) internal factors have direct and significant effect on lifestyle; (3) internal factors influence the purchase decision through lifestyle; and (4) lifestyle has direct and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Based on the research results, it is suggested that external factors have the most dominant direct influence toward the purchasing decisions and the variables that have highest index are marketing activities with dimensions of price, product, promotion, and marketing place, so that the variable of the marketer should focus and pay deeper attention to the marketing strategies, but still considering the external and internal factors. Lifestyle factor with the indicators of activities, interest, and opinions have a strong influence to the purchasing desicion. This can help companies to match suitable products that are going to be sold with the lifestyle of the consumers

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify and analyze the effects of transformational leadership and job satisfaction simultaneosly and partially on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of the lecturers of STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin. This type of the research is a quantitative explanatory research with a population of 35 people, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and data collection technique applied by using questionnaires. Respondents who returned the questionnaire were 30 lecturers of STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin. The instrument used to test the hypothesis is multiple linear regression by utilizing SPSS software ver.18.0. The result of this study showed that (1) the variables of transformational leadership and job satisfaction simultaneously influence the OCB of the lecturers of STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin, (2) the transformational leadership has no effect on the OCB, and (3) job satisfaction has effects on the OCB of the lecturers of STIE Indonesia Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Effects of dividend yield (X1), dividend payout ratio (X2), and other factors, such as size(X3), debt to asset ratio (X4), growth (X5), and earning volatility (X) toward Share Price Volatility. The population in this study was mining companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchage in the 2010-2014 period. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Samples were selected based on predetermined criteria and so 10 companies were obtained as the samples. The research data were secondary data obtained from Indonesian Capital Market Directory and Annual Report in the2010-2014 period. The research hypothesis testing used the technique of multiple linear regression with Statistical Package for Social Science software version 22. The result of the research concludes that dividend payout ratio (DPR), size, debt to asset ratio (DAR), and earning volatility have negative and signicant effects on share price volatility. Other two independent variables, Dividend Yield and Growth, have no significant effect on share price volatility.The companies can influence and control the volatility of share price through dividend policy with higher payment dividend payout ratio.
