Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of personality traits and psychological empowerment on proactive behavior of start-up company employees. The research used quantitative method with 350 participants. The instruments were Big Five Inventory (BFI), Psychological Empowerment Scale (PES), and Proactive Work Behavior Scale (PWBS). With multiple regression we predict effect of personality traits and psychological empowerment on proactive behavior. The results were there were significant effects of personality traits and psychological empowerment on proactive behavior of start-up company employees.

Abstract

Anger is one of the major triggering factors in violence commited by adolescent. Anger usually become a mediator of domestic violence behavior, especially for adolescent who have problems in regulating and expressing anger. One of the interventions for reducing anger is Teen Anger Management Education (TAME), which implementing cognitive-behavioral approach. This study was aimed to investigate the effectivity of anger management group intervention based on TAME. Design of this study was quasy experimental, which involved 6 male adolescents who have high level of anger, known from their scores on the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire scale, specifically on anger subscale. They were given TAME intervention which was modified into 6 sessions. It took 45-90 minutes for each session, with 3-4 days gap in between. Post-test was taken at the last session and follow-up was taken a month after the last session. Result showed that the scores from 5 out of 6 participants have been decreased statistically significant from before compared to after intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that anger management group intervention was effective to reduce anger in the majority of participants, Z (-2.04).

Abstract

This research aims to develop a social desirability scale in Indonesian. The method used is mixed method. Participant in the exploration stage amounted to 400 subjects. Whereas, in the second stage, which purposed to identify a psychometric properties (reliability and validity), participant amounted to 501 subjects. Data analysis in the first stage was open coding. For the second stage data analysis consisted of reliability estimation using Cronbach’s Alpha and test of construct validity using factorial validity with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and convergent validity. The Result shows that the scale has a high reliability coefficient 0.76 alfa cronbach. Whereas, the test of model fit with CFA shows that the scale fits with the data with index of fit value of Comparative Fit Index (CFI) is 0.92, Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) is 0.93, Root Mean Square of Approximation (RMSEA) is 0.059, and Standardized Root Mean Residual (SRMR) is 0.052.  A convergent validity also tested by correlating social desirability Indonesian scale with social desirability scale by Reynolds (1982).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of family support perception on fatigue and subjective well-being of the bus drivers.  The research method used was a quantitative research with 125 bus driver participants. The instrument were Perceived Social Support from family or PSS-Fa (Procidano and Heller, 1983) to measure family support, Fatigue Measurement Scale or SPK to measure fatigue, Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) instrument and Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) to measure subjective well-being. Technique of data analysis was used simple regression. The results of this study indicated that family support affected fatigue with a significance level of 0.000 and family support influenced subjective well-being with  significance level of 0.01

Abstract

AbstractThe global pandemic occurred at the end of 2019 caused by the corona virus or now commonly called as Covid-19. This pandemic has destroyed almost all companies in the world. Individual readiness for change is an important factor in organizational success to make changes. One important factor in readiness for change is organizational commitment. The purpose of this research to analyze the impact of organizational commitment on readiness for change in Geoff Max Footwear.co employees in Bandung City. This research uses a quantitative approach method with 140 respondents. The results of this research indicate the impact of organizational commitment which consists of three dimensions, there is affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. Each dimension shows a significance result of 0.000 smaller than 0.005 which means there is an impact of organizational commitment on readiness for change.   AbstrakPandemi global terjadi pada akhir tahun 2019 yang disebabkan oleh virus corona atau sekarang biasa disebut dengan Covid-19. Pandemi ini menyebabkan hambatan hampir seluruh perusahaan di dunia. Kesiapan individu untuk berubah merupakan faktor yang penting dalam keberhasilan organisasi untuk melakukan perubahan. Salah satu faktor yang memainkan peran penting terhadap kesiapan untuk berubah yaitu komitmen organisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap kesiapan untuk berubah pada karyawan Geoff Max Footwear.co di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan responden sebanyak 140 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh komitmen organisasi yang terdiri dari tiga dimensi yaitu  komitmen afektif, komitmen berkelanjutan, dan komitmen normative. Setiap dimensi menunjukkan hasil signifikansi 0,000 kurang dari 0,005 yang berarti adanya pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap kesiapan untuk berubah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors of Subjective Well-Being of students of LPKA. The research used two approach with participants from LPKA Tangerang and LPKA Bandung. In the first research, 90 students filled the questionnaire and the second was qualitative method by Focus Group Discussion (FGD) technique. FDG was performed to 40 juvenille offenders (ABH) that had high subjective well-being. The result were that the factors that affect subjective well-being were the ability of children to cope stressfull situation, ability to adjust in difficult situations, spirituality and social support from family, peers and officers. Based on the results, the researchers concluded the factors that affect subjective well-being of LPKA students includes internal and external factors.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah menggali faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subyektif anak didik LPKA. Penelitian dilakukan dua tahap dengan partisipan dari LPKA Pria Tangerang dan LPKA Bandung. Tahap pertama dilakukan dengan menyebarkan angket kepada 90 anak didik LPKA dan tahap kedua dilakukan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan data dengan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). FDG dilakukan kepada 40 orang anak berkonflik dengan hukum (ABH) yang tingkat kesejahteraaan subyektifnya tergolong tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subyektif anak didik ini antara lain kemampuan anak untuk mengatasi situasi stressfull, kemampuan menyesuaikan diri dalam situasi sulit, spiritualitas dan dukungan sosial yang bersumber dari keluarga, teman sebaya dan petugas lembaga pembinaan khusus anak. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut peneliti menyimpulkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subyektif anak didik LPKA meliputi faktor internal yang bersumber dari dalam diri anak dan faktor eksternal yang bersumber dari lingkungan.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the role of academic self-concept in mediating the relationship between self-regulation learning and commitment to career choice in high school students. This research focuses on the dimensions of vocational exploration and commitment, namely openness to explore career choices before committing to a particular career choice. This research uses quantitative approach with 315 students of high school students of X-XI class. Measurement of commitment to career choice is done by measuring tool Commitment to Career Choices Scale sub scale vocational exploraton and commitment. Measurement of self-regulation in learning using Motivated Strategies and Learning Questionnaire, while the academic self-concept was measured using the Academic Self Concept for Adolescents Scale. The result shows that self regulation in learning affects commitment to career choice through academic self concept. The self-regulated skills in applied learning consistently will shape the positive academic self-concept and impact on the increased commitment to career choice among high school students.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran konsep diri akademik dalam memediasi hubungan antara regulasi diri dalam belajar dan komitmen terhadap pilihan karier pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada salah satu dimensi dari komitmen terhadap pilihan karier, yaitu dimensi vocational exploration and commitment (VEC). Penelitian ini meng­gunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan partisipan penelitian berjumlah 315 orang siswa SMA kelas X-XI.  Pengukuran komitmen terhadap pilihan karier dilakukan dengan alat ukur Commitment to Career Choices Scale sub skala vocational exploration and commitment. Pengukuran regulasi diri dalam belajar menggunakan Motivated Strategies and Learning Questionnaire, sedangkan konsep diri akademik diukur dengan menggunakan Academic Self Concept for Adolescents Scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi diri dalam belajar memengaruhi komitmen terhadap pilihan karier melalui konsep diri akademik. Keterampilan regulasi diri dalam belajar yang diterapkan dengan konsisten akan membentuk konsep diri akademik yang positif dan berdampak pada meningkatnya komitmen terhadap pilihan karier dimensi vocational exploration and commitment pada siswa SMA.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the predictions of imaginary audience and personal fable to the aggression behavior of adolescents in the city of Bandung. Participants of the study were 395 adolescents that range 13-18 years old, selected by cluster random sampling techniques. The research data was collected by the New Imaginary Audience Scale (NIAS), the New Personal Fable Scale (NPFS), and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire that had been adapted into Indonesian. Processing data research using simple and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there was significantly effect of imaginary audience and personal fable on agression behavior. Simultaneously the contribution of imaginary audience and personal fable to adolescent aggression behavior in Bandung is 12 percent. The contribution of imaginary audience to adolescent aggression behavior is partially higher than personal fable contribution.

Abstract

AbstractThe world is currently experiencing a pandemic due to COVID-19. Indonesia is one of the countries affected and affected by this virus. Government policies as a measure to prevent and handle COVID-19 ranging from Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to policies in the New Normal Era. This policy has an impact on employees who were previously Work From Home (WFH) to Work From Office (WFO). Working in pandemic conditions and situations raises worries at work so that it has an impact on mental and emotional status which affects work productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the emotional mental status of the Bhakti Kencana University employees while undergoing a work form office. This research method uses descriptive method on employees who undergo Work From Office as many as 69 people using the SRQ 29 instrument. The results show that long Underwent work from office as much as 29.0 percent experienced symptoms of anxiety and depression, 15.9 percent experienced psychotic disorders, 68.1 percent experienced post-traumatic stress disorder, 17.4 percent did not experience changes in mental emotional status and none experienced any disturbances. psychoactive and drug use. The mental and emotional changes of employees during work from office will affect employee work productivity, besides the physiological impact when the body experiences psychological disorders will reduce immunity, thereby increasing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The results showed that there was a change in the mental emotional status of employees during work from office. Improved coping mechanisms by increasing knowledge about Covid 19, health protocols at work, flexibility at work and health insurance for employees can reduce the psychological impact while working from office in the era  the COVID-19 pandemic  AbstrakDunia saat ini mengalami pandemic akibat COVID-19. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang terkena dan terdampak akibat virus ini. Kebijakan pemerintah sebagai langkah pencegahan dan penanganan COVID-19 mulai dari Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) sampai kebijakan di Era New Normal. Kebijakan ini berdampak pada karyawan yang sebelumnya Work From Home (WFH) menjadi Work From Office (WFO). Bekerja dalam kondisi dan situasi pandemic meberikan kekhawatiran saat bekerja sehingga berdampak pada status mental dan emosional yang mempengaruhi produktivitas bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui status mental emosional karyawan Univeritas Bhakti Kencana saat menjalani work form office. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif pada karyawan yang menjalani Work From Office sebanyak 69 orang menggunakan instrument SRQ 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukan selama menjalani work from office sebanyak 29,0 persen mengalami gejala cemas dan depresi, 15,9 persen mengalami gangguan psikotik, 68,1 persen mengalami post-traumatic stress disorder, 17,4 persen  tidak mengalami perubahan status mental emosional dan tidak ada yang mengalami gangguan psikoaktif dan penggunaan narkoba. Perubahan mental dan emosional saat menjalani work from office akan berpengaruh secara fungsi fisiologi sehingga meningkatkan kerentanan penularan dan berdampak produktivitas pekerjaan. Sehingga institusi harus meningkatan mekanisme koping dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang COVID-19, mempertahankan protokol Kesehatan, fleksibilitas dan jaminan kesehatan saat bekerja di era pandemic COVID-19.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of psychological student's sensitivity to the facial expression of children. Facial expression is the symbol of emotion, when the child has a problem, their face showed the expression of their emotion. Whether the adults can guess what emotions of the children? A number of children are asked to view a number of images that can arouse their facial expression of their emotions to the images. Emotions that arose from the images were smiled, fear, sadness, anger, and disgust. Emotions of children arouse in 1 to 3 seconds, which is then photographed. The photos are selected based on the facial expression that best suits the emotions. The subject of this research was 222 students of Faculty of Psychology, with ranged 20-23 years old. The 60 male and 162 female students were asked to guess the emotions of one male child pictures and one female child which displays the five emotions in the face. The guesses of the students on the emotions of female child faces tend to be wrong on the expression of disgust that they guessed as sad. While in the male model photo, they failed to guess precisely the expression of the fear that they guessed as disgust.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kepekaan mahasiswa Psikologi terhadap ekspresi wajah anak. Ekspresi wajah seringkali menjadi fokus emosi, saat anak mengalami masalah, sangat tergambar sekali pada ekspresi wajahnya. Namun apakah interpretasi para orang dewasa tersebut sesuai dengan yang ditampilkan anak-anak tersebut. Sejumlah anak diminta melihat sejumlah gambar, agar memperlihatkan ekspresinya secara alami. Emosi yang timbul dari sejumlah gambar tersebut, adalah senyum, takut, sedih, marah, dan jijik. Emosi para anak timbul berkisar 1-3 detik, yang kemudian difoto. Foto-foto tersebut diseleksi, manakah foto ekspresi wajah paling sesuai dengan emosi yang timbul. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 222 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi, dengan kisaran usia 20-23 tahun. Terdapat 60 laki-laki dan 162 perempuan, mereka diminta menebak emosi 2 gambar pada anak beda jenis kelamin yang menampilkan dalam bentuk 5 emosi di wajah. Tebakan dari para mahasiswa pada emosi wajah perempuan cenderung tidak tepat pada ekspresi jijik yang cenderung ditebak sebagai sedih. Sedangkan pada foto model laki-laki cenderung tepat menebak ekspresi emosi takut yang cenderung ditebak sebagai jijik.
