Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of word choice official letters that are not appropriate for class X students. The prpose of this study is to ini this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data sources are student worksheets. Data collection techniques, interview and documentation. The findings of the study indicate that in official letters wrriten by class X students, there are errors in word choice in terms of word accuracy. The dominant words are errors in the use of synonymous words,errors in the use of words with similar spellings, errors in changing meaning. This is due to the inadequate vocabulary that affects students’ ability to express their ideas through official letters. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that class X students do not understand the use of word choice correctly. Researchers suggest (1) students are more carefulin choosing words used in official letters, especially in using the correct language (2) further researchersto continue this research and develop it so that student’s ability to write formal letters becomes better.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the uniqueness of using language styles, especially in satire language style with nuanced criticism in the form of satire against certain people so as to create a state or feeling of the heart, whether it is a pleasant impression or a bad impression. One of them is the satire language style contained in the album, the satire language style is a language style that uses sentences or words that are meant to be satirical. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of satire language styles contained in the Album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea; describe the satire language style contained in the album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea irony, cynicism, sarcasm, antifrasis. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Based on the results of research in Yunus Gea's S'nada Trio album Volume 3 that there is a satire language style, namely the satire language style in the album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea, namely irony there is 1 quote, cynicism is 1 quote, sarcasm is 3 citations, antiphrases there are 2 quotes, and in all there are 7 quotes. In the album S'nada Trio Volume 3, Yunus Gea's work can be used as a guide or illustration for the community, and as learning at school, one of which is for students. This can be applied in Indonesian subjects, especially material on literature. Suggestions, to teachers and prospective teachers of Indonesian Language and Literature, Indonesian language subject teachers should make the album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea as a source of student learning in literary learning, the authors of the S'nada Trio album should use more language styles so that the lyrics of the song are more interesting, further researchers should use this research as a reference material to conduct relevant research.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the uniqueness of the novel story that makes researchers interested in knowing the character of the characters contained in the novel Meeting Two Hearts by Nh. Dini. The purpose of this research is to identify the character or character of the protagonist, antagonist, and tritagonist as well as to describe the analytical and dramatic depiction of the character or character of the protagonist, antagonist, and tritagonist in the novel Meeting Dua Hati Karya Nh. Dini. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The research findings show that the character of Bu Suci in the novel Meeting Two Hearts is the protagonist, while the character of Waskito is the antagonist. And the tritagonist character is played by Grandma Waskito. The character's character is described by the author analytically and dramatically. It can be concluded that Bu Suci has a protagonist character or character, which is often relentless, easily moved or affectionate, kind, helpful, and caring, while Waskito has an antagonistic character or character, namely nosy, mischievous, annoying, evil, rude, likes hitting, ruthless, cruel, angry, rebellious, mischievous, always argues and refutes advice, never wants to be asked, is rude, and lies. The novel of Meeting Two Hearts is very good as reading material and as a reference for teaching materials, because the novel contains many positive and good life values ​​if used as experiences and examples. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that this research can be used as reading material and as a reference for teaching materials.

Abstract

It is stated that one of the materials studied in the subjects Indonesian in class VII is to write a license at the School. The use of spelling in the form (writing letters, words and absorption elements), and punctuation marks (dots, colons, commas, and slashes) is still minimal so that the results of writing are poorly understood. The purpose of this study is to describe the error of writing letters, writing words, on permits in schools, written by students of grades VIII-1 of State Junior High School 1 Amandraya and Describes the error of the punctuation point, comma, on the license at school. The research method used is a qualitative research method with documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed some mistakes made by students of class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya with a total of 23 students, there were 3 people who had never been alpa and 20 people had been alpa. From 20 student letters, there were 72 errors. The most grammatical usage errors are letter writing there are thirty-seven errors, letter writing there are twenty-five errors, the use of points there are five errors, and the use of commas there are five errors. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the permit written by students of class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya, there were 72 errors from 20 pieces of student permits. The dominant mistake is the use of spelling in letter writing there are 37 and word writing as many as 25 errors, and the non-dominant error is the use of point and comma punctuation marks, each of which has 5 errors. In addition, almost all students have not been able to write letters according to their structure. In this study, researchers suggest: Students can understand the use of good and correct grammar and continue to practice in writing letters by paying attention to spelling and punctuation elements and continue to learn to multiply vocabulary so as to facilitate the language spoken clearly.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the error in using punctuation marks in the narrative essays ofclass X IIS-A private students at Teluk Campus in the 2020/2021 academic year which is still not fully in accordance with the general Indonesian spelling guidelines (PUEBI) describe errors in the use of.punctuation marks in students' narrative essays.this research approach is a qualitative research with descriptive type.the data source in this study is the result of narrative essays by class X IIS-A students at private high school, Teluk Campus in the 2020/2021 academic yearThe results of this study show that the use of punctuation errors in students' narrative essays is 143 errors, and the use of correct.punctuation marks is 99 punctuation marks.the total number of punctuation marks used is 242 punctuation marks. The use of a comma is 69 errors. Then, errors in the use of periods in student narrative essays that were found by researchers were 34 errors. .furthermore, errors in the use of hyphens that were found by researchers in student narrative essays were 15 errors Next, the errors in using exclamation marks that the researchers found were 14 errors. .furthermore, the errors in using quotation marks that the researchers found were 8 errors..based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that in writing narrative essays students make mistakes due to lack of mastery of the use of punctuation marks, limited vocabulary and students'.inaccuracy in writing narrative essays to teach students about the use of punctuation in narrative essays and expand students' vocabulary. (2) for students, they should expand their vocabulary, in order to produce good and correct writing

Abstract

The problem in this study was the error of using the punctuation on X-IIS B of SMA Swasta Kampus Telukdalam in the 2020/2021 that still didn't quite fit the general guidelines of the Indonesian spelling (PUEBI). The purpose of this study is to describe the error of using the punctuation on the student's expose essay. This research approach is qualitative work with a descriptive type. The source of the data in this study is a result of student exposure. Based on this study there 61 the errors use and the correct used is 43. The total number of punctuation used is 105. The most widely used punctuation errors are the stop mark it was 23 errors. Then the next one is the use of a coma sign on the student's exposed account that researchers found was 15 of the errors. Furthermore, the errors that the researcher found on the student's expose was hyphen mark with 11 errors. Next, the researchers have found the error in the used of the exclamation mark as many as 7. The last one is the researcher have found the error in the use of quotation marks with 5 errors. Based on the result it shows that in the writing of the student's expose the error can be occured because of the lack of punctuation, limited vocabulary and student inattention in writing the book of expose. The researcher's suggestion (1) for teachers, they should teach more the students about the use of the punctuation in the exposition essay and also expands the student vocabulary. (2) for students, they should enrich their vocabulary in order to be able to produce the good and correct writing

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan pilihan kata dalam surat resmi yang kurang tepat pada siswa kelas X. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan penggunaan pilihan kata pada surat resmi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data berupa lembar kerja siswa. Teknik penggumpulan data, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa didalam surat resmi yang ditulis siswa kelas X terdapat kesalahan pilihan kata dalam hal ketepatan kata yang lebih dominannya adalah kesalahan penggunaan kata-kata yang bersinonim, kesalahan penggunaan kata-kata yang ejaan mirip, kesalahan penggunaan kata umum atau khusus, kesalahan perubahan makna. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perbendaharaan kosakata yang dimiliki tidak memadai sehingga mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa dalam menuangkan gagasannya melalui surat resmi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas X kurang memahami penggunaan pilihan kata dengan tepat. Peneliti menyarankan (1) siswa lebih teliti memilih kata yang digunakan dalam surat resmi, terutama dalam penggunaan bahasa yang benar. (2) peneliti selanjutnya agar melanjutkan penelitian ini dan mengembangkannya agar kemampuan siswa dalam menulis surat resmi menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya keunikan dengan penggunaan gaya bahasa terkhusus pada gaya bahasasindiran yang bernuansa kritik berupa sindiran terhadap orang tertentu sehinga menciptakan keadaan atau perasaan hati baik itu kesan yang menyenangkan maupun kesan yang buruk. Salah satunya adalah gaya bahasa sindiran yang terdapat dalam album, gaya bahasa sindiran merupakan gaya bahasa yang menggunakan kalimat atau kata yang bermaksud menyindir. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis gaya bahasa sindiran yang terdapat dalam Album S’nada Trio Volume 3 Karya Yunus Gea; mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa sindiran yang terdapat dalam album S’nada Trio Volume 3 Karya Yunus Gea ironi, sinisme , sarkasme, antifrasis.Penelitianinimenggunakanpendekatankualitatifdenganmetodedeskriptif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dalam album S’nada Trio Volume 3 Karya Yunus Gea bahwa terdapat gaya bahasa sindiran, yaitu gaya bahasa sindiran dalam album S’nada Trio Volume 3 karya Yunus Gea, yaitu ironi terdapat 1 kutipan, sinisme terdapat 1 kutipan, sarkasme terdapat 3 kutipan, antifrasis terdapat 2 kutipan, dan semuanya terdapat 7 kutipan. Di dalam album S’nada TrioVolume 3 Karya Yunus Gea tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai pedoman atau ilustrasi bagi masyarakat, dan sebagai pembelajaran di sekolah salah satunya bagi peserta didik. Hal ini, bias diterapkan dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia khususnya materi tentang sastra. Saran, kepada guru dancalon guru Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia hendaknya guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia menjadikan album S ’nada Trio Volume 3 Karya Yunus Gea sebagai sumber belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra, hendaknya pengarang album S’nada Trio lebih banyak lagi menggunakan gaya bahasa biar lirik lagu tersebut lebih menarik lagi, hendaknya peneliti selanjutnya, dapat menggunakan penelitian ini sebagai bahan referensi untuk melakukan penelitian yang relevan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keunikan cerita novel yang membuat peneliti tertarik untuk mengetahui watak tokoh yang terdapat dalam novel Pertemuan Dua Hati karya Nh. Dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasikarakter atau watak tokoh protagonis, antagonis, dan tritagonis serta mendeskripsikan penggambaran karakter atau watak tokoh protagonis, antagonis, dan tritagonis secara analitik dan dramatikal yang terdapat dalam novel Pertemuan Dua Hati Karya Nh. Dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perwatakan tokoh Bu Suci dalam novel Pertemuan Dua Hati adalah protagonis, Sedangkan watak atau karakter tokoh Waskito adalah antagonis. Dan watak tritagonis diperankan oleh Nenek Waskito. Perwatakan tokoh tersebut digambarkan pengarang secara analitik dan dramatikal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Bu Suci memiliki karakter atau watak protagonis, yaitu sering mengalah, mudah terharu atau penyayang, baik hati, penolong, dan peduli, sedangkan Waskito memiliki karakter atau watak yang antagonis, yaitu usil, jail, suka mengganggu, jahat, kasar, suka memukul, bengis, kejam, pemarah, pemberontak, jail, selalu membantah dan menyanggah nasihat, tidak pernah mau disuruh, kurangajar, dan berbohong. Novel Pertemuan Dua Hati sangat baik dijadikan bahan bacaan dan referensi bahan ajar, karena novel tersebut mengandung banyak nilai-nilai kehidupan yang positif dan baik jika dijadikan sebagai pengalaman dan teladan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan bacaan dan referensi bahan ajar.

Abstract

Dikemukakan bahwa salah satu materi yang dipelajari dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas VII adalah menulis surat izin di Sekolah. Penggunaan ejaan berupa (penulisan huruf, kata dan unsur serapan), dan tanda baca (titik, titik dua, koma, dan garis miring) masih minim sehingga hasil tulisan kurang dipahami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Mendeskripsikan kesalahan penulisan huruf, penulisan kata, pada surat izin di sekolah, yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya dan Mendeskripsikan kesalahan tanda baca titik, koma, pada surat izin di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan beberapa kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya dengan jumlah 23 orang siswa, ada 3 orang yang tidak pernah alpa dan 20 orang sudah pernah alpa. Dari 20 lembar surat siswa tersebut, terdapat sebanyak 72 kesalahan. Kesalahan penggunaan tata bahasa terbanyak adalah penulisan huruf terdapat tiga puluh tujuh kesalahan, penulisan huruf terdapat dua puluh lima kesalahan, penggunaan titik terdapat lima kesalahan, dan penggunaan koma terdapat lima kesalahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa surat izin yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya, terdapat 72 kesalahan dari 20 lembar surat izin siswa. Kesalahan dominannya adalah penggunaan ejaan dalam penulisan huruf terdapat 37 dan penulisan kata sebanyak 25 kesalahan, dan kesalahan tidak dominannya ialah penggunaan tanda baca titik dan koma yang masing-masing keduanya memiliki 5 kesalahan. Selain daripada itu hampir semua siswa belum mampu menulis surat sesuai dengan strukturnya. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menyarankan: Siswa dapat memahami penggunaan tata bahasa yang baik dan benar dan terus berlatih dalam menulis surat dengan memperhatikan unsur ejaan dan tanda baca serta terus belajar memperbanyak kosa kata sehingga dapat memperlancar bahasa yang diucapkan dengan jelas.
