Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena keunikan, yang disusun dengan berbagai variasi gaya bahasa, serta menceritakan tentang kisah seorang anak yang bertahan dalam keadaan yang sangat miskin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa perbandingan yang terdapat dalam novel jalan pasti berujung karya Benyaris Adonia Pardosi. Pendekatan dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel jalan pasti berujung karya Benyaris Adonia Pardosi ditemukan 44 gaya bahasa perbandingan, dengan rincian yaitu 10 gaya bahasa personifikasi, 29 gaya bahasa asosiasi/simile, 1 gaya bahasa metafora, dan 4 gaya bahasa alegori. Novel ini termasuk jenis novel avonuter karena hanya dipusatkan pada satu lakon yang ceritanya dimulai dari awal sampai akhir, dan mengalami berbagai rintangan dalam mencapai maksudnya.Simpulan pada penelitian ini ialah gaya bahasa yang paling banyak dipakai dalam pada novel tersebut yaitu gaya bahasa asosiasi/simile, pengarang lebih cenderung menggunakan gaya bahasa asosiasi/simile karena dalam menyampaikan sesuatu sering membandingkan dengan keadaan lain serta memiliki persamaan sifat, sementara gaya bahasa yang paling sedikit dipakai adalah metafora. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan kepada guru dan calon guru Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia agar menjadikan hasil penelitian ini sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan materi gaya bahasa.

Abstract

The uniqueness of the characterization system in the collection of stories from ParlindunganMarpaung's Half-Pecah Half-Utuh is the background of this research. This study aims to describe the character of the main character analytically and dramatically in the collection of short stories Half Pecah Half Utuh by Parlindungan Marpaung. Disposition is the description of a character or character that tells the events or events of the story picture. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of data in this study is data from documents. Data collection technique in this research is documentation technique. The data analysis technique used in this study is the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model by carrying out the steps, namely Data Reduction (Data Reduction), Data Display (Data Presentation) and verification (drawing conclusions). The results of the study show that there are four main character traits analytically, namely loyal, great in leading, brave, and firm and fair. There are seven main character traits that are dramatic, namely committed, caring/understanding, loyal and obedient, intelligent, brave, firm, and willing to sacrifice. To students of the Indonesian language and literature education study program to continue to improve their ability to appreciate short stories as a part of developing literary works. To teachers/educators, to continue to contribute understanding and thoughts for the development of literary science, To readers, to continue to learn to increase knowledge and insight about literature and to share knowledge with the wider community, To other researchers to conduct further research.

Abstract

Online learning is a learning system that is carried out in a network that is connected through a computer network, the internet which is done not face to face but visually, which can help the teaching and learning process that is carried out even though it is far away. Online learning has an effect on student achievement. Learning achievement that is focused on in this study is student achievement in Indonesian subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of online learning on student achievement in Indonesian class VIII subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Toma for the 2020/2021 academic year. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with descriptive statistical methods. The population in this study were all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Toma for the 2020/2021 academic year, because considering the large population, the researchers drew a research sample of 62 people using a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The instrument in this study used questionnaires, interviews and documentation in the form of a list of grades (reports) for odd semesters. The data analysis technique uses data description, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The test results in this study indicate that there is a significant influence between online learning on student achievement in Indonesian subjects, where taitung is 1.983> [tabet 1.67065. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an influence between online learning on student achievement in Indonesian subjects. From the results of this study, researchers suggest that students should be able to learn independently, so that online learning will make it easier for students to achieve good learning achievements.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the uniqueness. One of the unique things found in the "Analysis Daily" newspaper in 2020, among others, is that the newspaper has an editorial column. Which in this editorial news has similarities or mutually supportive harmony between facts and editorial ideas, so that in harmony makes readers more interested in reading the news because the opinions conveyed by the editors are in accordance with the facts that actually happened. In addition, the researcher saw and found that in newspapers, especially editorials, there were a lot of news in the form of facts and opinions. The purpose of this study is to describe the content of factual news in the 2020 editorial "Harian Analys", to describe opinions in the 2020 editorial "Harian Analys", and to describe the correspondence between facts and opinions in the 2020 editorial "Harian Analysis". This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results of the study show that in the 2020 "Daily Analysis" editorial, there are 61 facts and 74 opinion quotes. Conformity between facts and opinions in the 2020 “Daily Analysis” Editorial, namely having similarities and mutually supportive harmony between facts and editorial ideas.So the summary of facts and opinions in the 2020 editorial “Daily Analysis” is more opinion than facts. The data of the findings of this study can be implied in everyday life, namely as reference material or guidelines in understanding news content for the news reader community. In addition, the research findings can be used by teachers as reference material in learning for students at school, especially for high school students. In this way, students are able to know and distinguish between factual news and news that are still in the form of opinions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan peneliti untuk mengidentifikasi makna konotatif pada kumpulan puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara karya Kahlil Gibran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan makna konotatif yang digunakan pada kumpulan puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara karya Kahlil Gibran. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara karya Kahlil Gibran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, makna konotatif yang digunakan pada kumpulan puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara karya Kahlil Gibran dari 9 puisi yang dipilih, ditemukan makna konotatif secara keseluruhan berjumlah 71 penggunaan, di antaranya pada puisi yang berjudul Cinta, ditemukan makna konotatif berjumlah 8, puisi yang berjudul Demi Surga, Jantung Hatiku berjumlah 6, puisi yang berjudul Gita Cinta berjumlah 15, puisi yang berjudul Musim Panas berjumlah 4, puisi yang berjudul Musim Gugur berjumlah 5, puisi yang berjudul Musim Dingin berjumlah 8, puisi yang berjudul Pandangan Pertama berjumlah 7, puisi yang berjudul Ciuman Pertama berjumlah 8, dan puisi yang berjudul Pernikahan berjumlah 10 penggunaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa setiap larik pada kumpulan puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara karya Kahlil Gibran mengandung makna konotatif di setiap syairnya. Saran yang dapat diberikan peneliti khususnya bagi guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, melalui kumpulan puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara karya Kahlil Gibran dapat dijadikan sebagai materi pembelajaran sastra untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menganalisis dan mengapresiasi karya sastra. Bagi siswa, hendaknya memperluas wawasanya pada materi mengenai makna konotatif, sehingga mampu membedakan makna konotatif di dalam sebuah karya sastra khususnya dalam puisi Ketika Cinta Bicara. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam mengembangkan penelitian selanjutnya yang masih dalam ruang lingkup yang sama

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that each language has its own uniqueness, namely the Nias language has a word class like the word class in Indonesian, one of which is a conjunction class. It turns out that the Nias language uses conjuntions like those used in Indonesian. In addition, the researcher wants to introduce Nias Conjunctions to Nias language user. The purpose of this study is to describe (coordinative and subordinating conjunctions) the Southern Nias language in Hilizihono, Fanayama District. Thi study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Based on the results of the research, the researcher found several coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions in the Southern Nias language in Hilizihono, Fanayama District. The coordinating conjunctions found were 9 quotes and the subordinating conjunctions were 11 quotes. So, the Southern Nias language in Hilizihono, Yanayama District, consist of 20 quotations. In conclusion, the types of conjunctions with 11 quotations. The data of the findings of this study can be used as a guide for the community and as learning in school students. This can be applied to lacal content learning materials (mulok), especially the Nias language. Suggestions for teachers and prospective theachers should use this research as a lesson to increase students’ knowledge about coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions in the Nias language. For the community, this research can serve as a guideline for studying the Nias language. For further researchers, it is better to use this research as a reference material for relevant research.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of word choice official letters that are not appropriate for class X students. The prpose of this study is to ini this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data sources are student worksheets. Data collection techniques, interview and documentation. The findings of the study indicate that in official letters wrriten by class X students, there are errors in word choice in terms of word accuracy. The dominant words are errors in the use of synonymous words,errors in the use of words with similar spellings, errors in changing meaning. This is due to the inadequate vocabulary that affects students’ ability to express their ideas through official letters. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that class X students do not understand the use of word choice correctly. Researchers suggest (1) students are more carefulin choosing words used in official letters, especially in using the correct language (2) further researchersto continue this research and develop it so that student’s ability to write formal letters becomes better.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the uniqueness of using language styles, especially in satire language style with nuanced criticism in the form of satire against certain people so as to create a state or feeling of the heart, whether it is a pleasant impression or a bad impression. One of them is the satire language style contained in the album, the satire language style is a language style that uses sentences or words that are meant to be satirical. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of satire language styles contained in the Album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea; describe the satire language style contained in the album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea irony, cynicism, sarcasm, antifrasis. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Based on the results of research in Yunus Gea's S'nada Trio album Volume 3 that there is a satire language style, namely the satire language style in the album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea, namely irony there is 1 quote, cynicism is 1 quote, sarcasm is 3 citations, antiphrases there are 2 quotes, and in all there are 7 quotes. In the album S'nada Trio Volume 3, Yunus Gea's work can be used as a guide or illustration for the community, and as learning at school, one of which is for students. This can be applied in Indonesian subjects, especially material on literature. Suggestions, to teachers and prospective teachers of Indonesian Language and Literature, Indonesian language subject teachers should make the album S'nada Trio Volume 3 by Yunus Gea as a source of student learning in literary learning, the authors of the S'nada Trio album should use more language styles so that the lyrics of the song are more interesting, further researchers should use this research as a reference material to conduct relevant research.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the uniqueness of the novel story that makes researchers interested in knowing the character of the characters contained in the novel Meeting Two Hearts by Nh. Dini. The purpose of this research is to identify the character or character of the protagonist, antagonist, and tritagonist as well as to describe the analytical and dramatic depiction of the character or character of the protagonist, antagonist, and tritagonist in the novel Meeting Dua Hati Karya Nh. Dini. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The research findings show that the character of Bu Suci in the novel Meeting Two Hearts is the protagonist, while the character of Waskito is the antagonist. And the tritagonist character is played by Grandma Waskito. The character's character is described by the author analytically and dramatically. It can be concluded that Bu Suci has a protagonist character or character, which is often relentless, easily moved or affectionate, kind, helpful, and caring, while Waskito has an antagonistic character or character, namely nosy, mischievous, annoying, evil, rude, likes hitting, ruthless, cruel, angry, rebellious, mischievous, always argues and refutes advice, never wants to be asked, is rude, and lies. The novel of Meeting Two Hearts is very good as reading material and as a reference for teaching materials, because the novel contains many positive and good life values ​​if used as experiences and examples. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that this research can be used as reading material and as a reference for teaching materials.

Abstract

It is stated that one of the materials studied in the subjects Indonesian in class VII is to write a license at the School. The use of spelling in the form (writing letters, words and absorption elements), and punctuation marks (dots, colons, commas, and slashes) is still minimal so that the results of writing are poorly understood. The purpose of this study is to describe the error of writing letters, writing words, on permits in schools, written by students of grades VIII-1 of State Junior High School 1 Amandraya and Describes the error of the punctuation point, comma, on the license at school. The research method used is a qualitative research method with documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed some mistakes made by students of class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya with a total of 23 students, there were 3 people who had never been alpa and 20 people had been alpa. From 20 student letters, there were 72 errors. The most grammatical usage errors are letter writing there are thirty-seven errors, letter writing there are twenty-five errors, the use of points there are five errors, and the use of commas there are five errors. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the permit written by students of class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 1 Amandraya, there were 72 errors from 20 pieces of student permits. The dominant mistake is the use of spelling in letter writing there are 37 and word writing as many as 25 errors, and the non-dominant error is the use of point and comma punctuation marks, each of which has 5 errors. In addition, almost all students have not been able to write letters according to their structure. In this study, researchers suggest: Students can understand the use of good and correct grammar and continue to practice in writing letters by paying attention to spelling and punctuation elements and continue to learn to multiply vocabulary so as to facilitate the language spoken clearly.
