Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize the physical, chemical, and biological properties of Sukosari land. The research was conducted via survey, evaluating the soil properties in agricultural areas to obtain 12 points at various altitudes. The results indicated that sand made up the most significant percentage of texture, ranging from 56 to 67 %. The analysis results of the soil's degree of acidity (pH) indicate that it is acidic, ranging between 4-5. The analysis of soil organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium yielded low values. The total number of bacteria and fungi in the soil, on the other hand, is relatively high. As a result, it can be concluded that Sukosari's soil fertility is still relatively low. Additionally, it is recommended that the microorganisms present in each type of soil and land use Sukosari are identified.

Abstract

A study on the effects of plant support and mulch on the yield plant of cucumber (Cucumis sativus, L.) var. oris was conducted in March - June 2015. The research was in Kembangkuning Village, District Windusari, Magelang. The altitude is 640 m, the soil type is latosol and soil pH is 6.5. The research is factorial (2 x 4) experiment arranged in a complete randomized block design with three replications. The first factor is kind plant support: bamboo and plastic net. The second factor is kinds of mulch, rice straw, black plastic, silveric black plastic and transparent plastic mulch. Plant support from bamboo may increase crop growt that cause higher the weight per fruit and fruit volume. Black plastic mulch and silveric black plastic mulch may increase plant height, leaf number, weight of the fruit, weight per fruit and fruit volume. The highest fruit volume is obtained from the growth of cucumber supported by plastic net on black plastic mulch and silveric black plastic mulch.

Abstract

A research on the effect of the number of leaves on cuttings and kinds planting media on the growth of lime (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle), conducted in July to November 2014.The research location is at Kaliboto Village, District Bener, Purworejo. The altitude is150, the soil is regosol soil and soil pH is 6.0. The method used is a factorial experiment (3x4) arranged in complete randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor is the number of leaf on cuttings 0, 2, 4 leaves. The second factor is planting media: soil; soil added cocopeat; soil added husk; soil added cow manure (1: 1). The analysis showedcuttingswithtwoleavesare able to providethe highest parameter son shoots length, number of leaves, root length, buds fresh weight, buds dry weight, root fresh weight and dry weight of root cuttings. Media of soil added husk isable to increase shoots length, number of leaves, buds fresh weight, bud dry weight, root fresh weight and dry weight of root cuttings. The different number of leaves on different kinds planting media indicate different growthon all parameters observed exceptroot length.

Abstract

The research studied the effect of dose Trichoderma spp. and composition media on growth durian seedling (Durio zibetinus, L.). Experiment conducted in August until Oktober 2016. Location of experiment in Perbotan, Kalisari, Tempuran, Magelang, Central Java. The latitude of 415 m above sea level, the soil type Latosol with a pH of 6,0. The research method used factorial experiment (3 x 4) are arranged in a complete randomized block design with three replications. The first factor was a goat manure of 1 : 0, 1 : 1, 1 : 2, and 1 : 3. The second factor was the Trichoderm spp. that was 0, 200 and 400 ml/plant. The result of the research a goat manure matter in 1 : 1 increased on lenght of shoots, fresh weight of shoots, dry weight of shoots, fresh weight of roots, and dry weight of roots. Most Trichoderma spp. 200 ml/plant increased on dry weight of shoots, fresh weight of roots, and dry weight of roots. Interaction a goat manure and Trichoderma spp. increased on dry weight of shoot, fresh weight of roots, and dry weight of roots.

Abstract

Research of Optimizing Natural Growth Regulatory on Red Onion Extract (Allium cepa fa. Ascalonicum) as a Growth Root of Tin Crop Fruit Cultivation (Ficus carica) was a study which aims to utilize red onion extract as a trigger of root growth in the multiplication of tin fruit plants through stem cuttings. Utilization of onion extract in various concentrations were 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%. This study used the method of Randomized Complete Random Design (RAL) with the analysis of orthogonal polynomial quantitative data from 25 plant samples. The results showed that all treatments had an effect on the number and length of root of tin plant. The 1% concentration provides optimum results against the observed parameters compared to control and other treatments. Achievement of longest root long optimum point was at concentration 1.14% while the optimum root number was at concentration 1.07%.

Abstract

Conversion of agricultural land is rife in agricultural countries like Indonesia, especially in areas bordering cities. Transfer of agricultural land functions is inevitable because of the welfare of farmers who are still neglected. This study aims to determine 1) the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural 2) determine the impact of the conversion of agricultural land. The research method used is descriptive analytic method. The data used is secondary data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency and the Land Agency. The data analysis method uses the net land conversion method. The data used is time series data. The location selection is purposive sampling based on the area bordering urban areas, namely Grogol Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency. Based on the results and discussion above, it can be concluded that the net land conversion is still negative in Grogol District, which means that the area of converted agricultural land is greater than the new paddy field mold. The positive impacts generated such as the availability of residential land for the community, the availability of new housing with relatively cool air, the existence of even distribution of the population and the development of the potential of the area that was previously minimal population. However, the negative impacts caused are more crucial, such as the reduction of food resources and water reserves, the change in the profession of the community, which initially farmers became factory workers, service sectors and others, reduced ecosystems and began to contaminate land, water and air from the activities of surrounding communities.  Keywords: Agraris, Conversion, Land, Agriculture Impact

Abstract

The traditional post-harvest handling of robusta coffee doesn’t provide good quality results, which then motivates the government to take steps by providing technological assistance in stages. The research was aimed to determine the adoption process of robusta coffee post-harvest technology and analyze the correlation between attitudes, risk-taking courage, and skills on the adoption of coffee farmers' technology in Temanggung Regency. The location of this research was determined purposively. The number of respondents was 94 samples using Slovin method and taken from three villages, consist of Giyono, Jamusan, and Jombor. The post-harvest technology used by farmers in Jumo District were wet processing, dry processing, roasting, and coffee bean packaging technology. The results showed that farmers in Jumo District have gone through five stages of adoption in adopting the post-harvest technology assistance provided, namely awareness, interest, evaluation, trial, and adoption. Significantly, there is a very close relationship between attitudes, courage to take risks and skills towards technology adoption with correlation coefficient values were 0.896, 0.929, and 0.900, respectively. There needs to be more intensive assistance to improve farmer skills in using post-harvest robusta coffee technology, especially for farmers in the older age group and farmers with low education. Keywords: behavior, post-harvest, robusta coffee, technology adoption.

Abstract

Research on productivity caisim (Brassica juncea, L.) due to cultivation soil and frequency of planting, conducted from May to August 2015 in the village of Lebak District Grabag, Magelang. Altitude of 500 meters with Latosol soil type and soil pH 6. The research was conducted in a factorial experiment ( 3 x 3 )arranged in a complete randomized block design with three replications. The first factor is tillage frequency: once, twice and three times. The second factor is the frequency of replanting: the first, second, and third planting. The result showes that tillage do not influence crop yields. Frequencies of replanting increase the number of leaves and fresh weight of consumption per plot. Tillage frequency on planting frequency responded similarly to the parameters.
