Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using scientific approach based learning model on students’ learning outcomes. The method is literature review. The data used in this study is secondary data. This secondary data was obtained from books and scientific articles. The research procedure was carried out through several stages, namely designing the topic and research objective, conducting review, analyzing data, and writing review. The result of this literature study show that the use of Problem Solving and Problem Posing learning models using tetrahedral chemistry representation has an effect on student learning outcome. Other learning models such as Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Constructive controversy, and Guided Inquiry that use tetrahedral chemistry representation do not have a significant effect on student learning outcome. In other words, these four models give the same good result to student learning outcome.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is a rules that makes students more active both in learning and in technological development. Teaching materials are called practical if the practitioner has stated that they can be applied in the field. This study aims to reveal the practicality of discovery learning-based e-modules on the reaction rate material equipped with a virtual laboratory for class XI SMA. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The research method used is the Plomp development model. The research was conducted at SMAN 14 Padang. Data were analyzed by Aikens’V formula. The results obtained at the one to one evaluation stage show that the e-module uses clear letters, covers and attractive designs., the language used is easy to understand, coherent presentation of material, videos and animations can help students understand the material. The results of the analysis of the practicality value obtained 87%. This data is evidenced by the ability of students to answer e-module questions by 78,9%. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the discovery learing based e-module on the reaction rate material equipped with a virtual laboratory was declared practical.

Abstract

Acid base material is a material that is quiet difficult to understand, because 75,5% of class XI science students at SMAN 7 Padang hae not been able to achieve the learning KKM that has been set. This is an indicator that there are still many student who have learning difficulties. Learning difficulties are inability of students to learn to achieve learning objectives and are characterized by low learning outcomes. This research is a descriptive research that aims to describe the level of learning difficulties of students and the factors that influence it in each indicator learning of acid base matter. The subject of this research is class XI IPA 6 SMAN 7 Padang TA 2021/2022 students who number 38 people. The instruments used are two-tier multiple choice diagnostic tests, questionnaire sheets and interviews. Data processing uses descriptive statistical methods. From the results of this research it was obtained that students have difficulty learning in acid base matter. Students' highest learning difficulties lie in the first indicator of analyzing soluble properties based on acid-base theory according to Arrhenius, Bronsted-Lowry, and Lewis by 77.2% with a high category of learning difficulty levels. Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews with students, the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in acid-base materials are seen from the internal factors of students are due to the student's less effective way of learning, namely not concentrating, not making schedules and carrying them out, not repeating materials, not taking notes and reading, and not doing assignments.

Abstract

The Amine is closely related to everyday life, especially the caracteristic and sampling. This subject is a part of the carbon compounds taught on the second semester of 3rd grade High School. But the implementation was transferred to first semester due to the student’s final exam, so the learning process was uneffective. Therefore it needs 2013’s curriculum compatible teaching materials as amine students woeksheet which help students study independently. The purposes of this research are to develop a Problem Based Learning Student Worksheet and determine its validity. The research implementation uses the R&D method. The development stage uses a 4D model consisting of define, design, develop and disseminate which is limited to development due to time and cost limitationsThe data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The research data by five expert validators were analysed using the Aiken’s V formula. Based on the a research data obtained the resulting a validity of 0,87 with a valid category.

Abstract

The material of molecular shape or geometry is chemical material that has abstract properties, resulting in students having difficulty understanding the material. Therefore we need a learning media that is able to help students understand the material and able to display modeling in the form of animations, videos and pictures of molecular shapes clearly. PowerPoint-iSpring ia a learning media that is able to display animations, videos, texts, images and quizzes that can help students understand the concept of learning materials correctly. This research aims to develop a valid PowerPoint-iSpring learning media on the material of molecular shapes in class X SMA. This research uses the Plomp model which was carried out until the prototype III stage (expert review and one to one evaluation). The validation of this learning media was carried out by 5 validators, 3 chemistry lecturers at FMIPA UNP and 2 chemistry teachers. The assessment was carried out on the content, contructs and media of the developed PowerPoint-iSpring learning media. The result of conten validity is 0,87. Construct validity is divided into 2 components, linguistic and presentationd components with average values of 0,83 and 0,86. While the validity of the media on the components of the media efficiency, button function and physical quality are 0,93:0,95 and 0,8. So that the result of the validity of content, constructs and media can be categorized as valid.
