Abstract

The 2013 curriculum was developed with several updates, including student-centered learning and critical thinking learning. Science learning in SMP / MTs in 2013 Curriculum is carried out in an integrated manner in accordance with Permendikbud No.35 Year 2018. This study aims to develop Integrated Science Learning Unit based on Integrated Problem Based Learning based on critical thinking for grade VIII SMP / MTs and reveal the level of validity and practicality from the developed LKPD. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4-D model consisting of four stages, they are the Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate step. But the dessiminate stage is not carried out due to time and cost limitations. LKPD validated by 3 lecturers of Natural Sciences Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP using a validation sheet instrument. The practicality test was conducted by 2 science teachers and 30 students of 24 Padang Middle School using a practicality sheet instrument. Based on research conducted obtained LKPD in the category of very valid with a value of 92.85%, and practical categories LKPD with a value of 88.46% according to the teacher's assessment and 88.90% according to the student's assessment.

Abstract

In the ever-changing world today, improving students’ literacy skills has become urgently needed. However, in reality most students still lack of interest in literacy. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid and practical Science Process Skills (SPS) – oriented learning material on Global Warming that is suitable for VII grade in secondary school. This research and development (R&D) study used ADDIE model, which consists of five steps namely: Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation. A set of questionnaires to test validity was distributed to three validators and another set of questionnaires to test practicality was distributed to seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 24 Padang in the academic year of 2019/2020. The result shows that the developed learning material is valid and highly practical to be used in secondary school science lesson. Moreover, this learning materials helped stimulate students’ scientific literacy skills in understanding the lessons.

Abstract

Critical thinking activity, is one of the capabilities of the 21st century that wants to be accomplished in learning with scientific approaches through the teaching materials used by teachers. One of the recommended learning models is the Discovery Learning model, and the teaching material used by the teacher is the Learners ' worksheet (LKPD). The problem is, how is the form of Model Discovery Learning LKPD that can be developed for the learning IPA SMP/MTs in the city of Padang? This research aims to produce the LKPD Discovery Learning model to develop the students ' critical thinking activities on vibration, wave, and sound materials for SMP/MTs SCIENCES in Padang City through a method of Research and Development (R&D), by implementing models 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate) that are reduced to the stage of Develop). The products produced in this research in the form of model LKPD DL activity oriented critical thinking after being validated by expert judgment consisting of 3 lecturers of SCIENCE education faculty and 1 teacher of IPA study with an average score of 88.61% on valid category.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education aims develop the potential of students who can be done through the learning process. Learning aimed at students can study independently, actively, and creatively according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum. Learning process is not separated from the teaching materials used. So it is necessary to teach a module that can guide learners in the learning activities. This research is a development research by using a PLomp model with three stages: preliminary investigation, prototype development stage, and assessment stage. The object of research is guided Discovery learning module on human digestive system material for students of class VIII. The research subject is a student of class VIII SMPN 26 Padang. Module validated by 3 lecturers majoring in IPA FMIPA UNP. The result of the evaluation itself was obtained that the module is developed according to the assessed aspect. The results of the validity test are obtained the average validity value of the content feasibility aspect, the linguistic, the presentation and the graphing with an average value of 87.5% with valid criteria. It is thus concluded that the learning modules of human digestive systems with guided discovery learning are developed to have a valid Krieria.
