Abstract

UPTD Puskesmas Rendang has not applicated a medical record tracer (exit instructions) so that there are still misplaced or no medical records found on the storage rack that caused missfile. Based on a preliminary study conducted in December 2021, it was found that the percentage of missfile events was 10.53% of 1,680 medical records. Puskesmas Rendang  requires a medical record tracer that could overcome the problem of medical record missfiles. The purpose of this study is to design a medical record tracer and measure the effectiveness of the application of the tracer. The research design used is One Group Pretest-Postest Design, which is to measure the number of missfile events before and after the application of the medical record tracer. The results of this study are using a questionnaire test with a Likert scale, the results obtained are 85% whose feasibility can be categorized as "Very Eligible". The results of hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test obtained a significance value of 0.000 so that 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results, it concluded that there is an effectiveness of the application of tracer to control the incidence of missfile medical records in the UPTD Puskesmas Rendang. It suggests that the development of an electronic-based medical record tracer is needed so that the service process can run effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, retention is also required.

Abstract

Kepuh plant (Sterculia foetida L.) is one of the plants that have the potential as a source of new medicines which are rich in compounds used as modern medicines, pharmaceutical intermediates, and main compounds in natural medicinal ingredients. Traditional medicine in Bali is often called Usada which contains the science of diagnosing diseases, medicinal ingredients, and prayers. The community is also familiar with Ayurveda, namely the use of herbal medicines and yoga therapy. The development of traditional medicine into herbal medicine requires an analysis of the activity of primary metabolites present in the Kepuh plant (Sterculia foetida L.). In addition, it is also necessary to know the effect of yoga therapy on traditional medicine. This study uses a descriptive method using a structured article review method. Based on secondary data obtained from several scientific journals, it is known that the biological activities of secondary metabolites in the Kepuh plant (Sterculia foetida L.) are antibacterial, antioxidant, antifungal, antiprotozoal, cytotoxic, thrombolytic, anti-rheumatic, analgesic, antipyretic, antidiabetic, insecticidal, antifeedant, and microbicidal effects. So scientifically the Kepuh plant (Sterculia foetida L.) can be used as a source of new drugs which are rich in compounds used as modern medicines, pharmaceutical intermediates, and main compounds in natural medicinal ingredients. Likewise, the effect of giving yoga therapy to traditional medicine which is a non-pharmacological treatment can help the healing process in patients with certain diseases. However, it is necessary to carry out further research on the use of the Kepuh plant as a herbal medicine in combination with yoga therapy.

Abstract

A lifestyle that tends to be positive and healthy will have a better quality. One of the organs of the body that is very influential when a person's lifestyle is unhealthy is the part of a person's lungs. The lung organ has an ability that is supported by two factors in it, namely the volume of oxygen that will enter the body and of course another one in the vital capacity of the lungs to accommodate this oxygen. One of the factors that can influence the increase in lung vital capacity is prāṇāyāma practice. Prāṇāyāma is a regulation of good breath in and out of the lungs through the nostrils with the aim of spreading Prana (energy) to all parts of the body and increasing the vital capacity of the lungs. This prāṇāyāma practice technique can be practiced at Santi Srama Bulaki Yoga Studio. The research method used is quantitative with a research design "One group pre-test-post-test Design", with a total sampling technique. The samples in this study were 17 young women aged 14-24 years who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and measurements (Spirometric measuring instrument). The collected data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21 for Windows application with a statistical test, namely the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The output statistical test results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test obtained an Asymp.Sig.(2-Tailed) value of 0.000. This value of 0.000 indicates that 0.000 < 0.05. This shows and proves that the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that there is an influence of prāṇāyāma on increasing lung vital capacity in adolescents at Santi Srama Bulaki Yoga Studio. So the conclusion is that Prāṇāyāma has an effect on increasing the vital capacity of the lungs.

Abstract

Tirtha is one of the elements that is always present in the Hindu religious ceremony. This paper aims to review the implementation of Ngukup Tirtha from a chemical and health perspective. This research is a descriptive review that was compiled based on studies and analysis of various online-based scientific articles, namely Google Scholar in 2017-2022 using the keywords Tirtha, water in Hinduism, Ngukup Tirtha, methods of sterilization, and water disinfection. The results of a review of various scientific articles show that water or equipment sterilization methods can be carried out using various methods including heating, steam or hot smoke, chlorination, ozonation, and using ultraviolet (UV) light. Ngukup is a process of preparing water for Tirtha by smoking water using frankincense or pasepan. Of these various methods, hot smoke or steam The method of sterilization with hot steam is identical to the process in Ngukup Tirtha in which the process uses hot smoke from burning some leaves and wood which gives aromas such as agarwood, sandalwood, pandan and others. The Ngukup Tirta process, in addition to providing advantages in the form of a fragrant aroma, can also improve the hygiene and sterility of the water used for Tirtha.

Abstract

Nonverbal communication in the form of hand gestures has been used by humans for thousands of years. Before language was developed and before the appearance of writing, hand gestures were a way of human interaction. Therefore, in historical artifacts in various civilizations and religions around the world, hand gesture is a dominant role. When choose this study, the authors focused on the form of the mudra dewata nava saṅga and its symbolic meaning as a non-verbal communication in dealing with the gods. This research on mudras as non-verbal communication in the watukaru tradition uses a qualitative descriptive approach that focuses on social phenomena, giving voice to the feelings and perceptions of the participants. The research procedure carried out produces descriptive data which includes sentences and images originating from the research object. The data analysis process used is data analysis in the field model Miles and Huberman. Activities in data analysis is data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. In Hinduism, hand gestures (mudras) are considered sacred gestures representing various gods and their manifestations. The mudra dewata nawa saṅga in the tradition of pasraman seruling Dewata, Watukaru Bali is unique because it is a combination of hasta mudra and kaya mudra. Mudra dewata nava saṅga is practiced each day differently depending on the deity doing yoga on that day. This mudra dewata nava saṅga is practiced by chanting a stava as the urip (sum of value) of the deity worshiped. Hand gestures in meditation position become a medium for communicating with the gods to balance the vital organs in the body with the universe which is the stana of each god. It is hoped that the theoretical and practical contributions from this qualitative descriptive research on mudra dewata nava saṅga can provide information as a basis for consideration, support, and contributions to yoga practitioners and sadhakas in their routine sadhana. Research on the mudra dewata nava saṅga also needs to be developed by other researchers.
