Abstract

Various negative phenomena carried out by our children require serious handling with various strategies, including strengthening character education. Therefore, this activity aims to provide theoretical and practical assistance to strengthen character-based positive parenting patterns for parents in Depok City. This activity adopts the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which involves the participation of participants. Participants in this activity were parents from Cilodong District, Depok City, totaling 115 people. This activity was carried out in the Meeting Hall of the Character Genius Islamic School Elementary School, Depok City. The results of this mentoring show that parents as activity participants are increasingly understanding: 1) their roles and functions in the family environment, namely providing serious and sustainable assistance to children's growth and development, so as not to be eroded by negative factors of technological development; 2) positive parenting for children has 3 positive impacts, namely: making the relationship between parents and children closer; make parent-child communication more effective and increase the child's self-confidence and happiness. The conclusion of this activity has a positive impact on parents because it is given strengthens parenting patterns in the family both theoretically and practically.

Abstract

Indonesian until now has been taught to foreigners in various institutions both at home and abroad. This learning program is known as the Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA).  This study aims to give an assistance of Indonesian language learning for foreign speakers of turkey. During the Covid-19 pandemic, BIPA learning was carried out online. Turkey is one of the countries whose citizens have a considerable interest in studying Indonesian. The researchers used Service Learning (SL) approach (Felten, & Clayton, 2011). It as a medium for integrating voluntary community service with active reflection which is expected to enrich and strengthen the material about bringing oral storytelling in developing students and teachers. The method of this study is by giving an assistance of Indonesian language learning. The BIPA program at the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara Turkey has been going on for 2 periods. In the 2nd period, which was implemented from October 9 to December 15, 11 classes and 4 BIPA levels have been carried out well. This is evidenced by the results of the final examination of the program obtained by the learners, namely by increasing the Indonesian language competence of  the learners. The results obtained by   the learners at the  end of the program showed that their Indonesian language  competence was improved. Thus, in the future this program is expected to continue so that more learners can take part in the BIPA  program  implemented at the  Indonesian Embassy in  Ankara, Turkey either  online or in-person learning. Thus, the BIPA learning program can continue to be implemented in the future.

Abstract

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, learning evaluations generally used question sheets in printed form which were done by students and supervised by teachers. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to use the evaluation sheet in printed form. Evaluation sheets using paper are less effective in their implementation. This makes a demand that Arabic language teachers or educators must be able to optimize the use of website-based applications as an easy means of evaluating learning so that the learning process can be more interesting and challenging. Therefore, the article gave the training of Using Quizezz Application to Increase the Arabic Teachers Quality in Pandemic Time. This Community Service uses the ABCD (Asset-based community development) approach. Through the ABCD approach, community members are facilitated to formulate a change agenda that they consider important and useful. Elementary or Madrasah Ibtidayah Arabic Subject Educators in Metro City as partners have scientific assets and expertise in the Arabic language field who will be assisted to learn about the quizizz application as an effort to become innovative educators. The Quizizz application makes it easy for educators to give questions or exercises online to be more effective and efficient. This training is carried out by the Arabic language teacher community at the elementary/MI education unit level in Metro City. This training prioritizes the utilization of the potential and assets that already exist in Arabic teacher educators

Abstract

Marriage is one of the developmental tasks of early adulthood. The tendency of individuals to have families is a genetically inherited instinct. Living together between individuals is not an easy matter, because everyone has a different background so that differences in character, perspective and decision-making become a challenge in itself. Frequently these differences become conflicts in marriages that lead to divorce. The article aimed to conduct pre-marital assistance through Group Guidance services as preventive efforts to minimize divorce rates in the future. Pre-marital guidance was given to 10 Metro City IPPNU cadres who had entered early adulthood. In this service, The method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR). The result of the dedication is that pre-marital guidance needs to be given to individuals who enter early adulthood long before marriage is carried out so that insight into knowledge, understanding and skills can really be prepared carefully.

Abstract

Assessment is always carried out in every teaching and learning activity. Assessment is the collection of information to measure the achievement of a person's results after participating in teaching and learning activities. Assessment in learning activities is not only the final achievement but the process also needs to be assessed. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the assessment is now done online. Teacher assessment during the COVID-19 pandemic is the most important point that must be explored and studied. The goal is that teachers have a deep understanding to carry out assessment techniques during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The researchers used Participation Action Research (PAR) in giving assessment and  The assessment given to students by the teacher is not only a cognitive assessment, but also includes affective and psychomotor aspects. The implementation of this community service would be carried out in March 2021 online via zoom. The target of the activity is elementary school level teachers. Assessment techniques that can be carried out by teachers in online learning vary. Knowledge assessment can be done through written tests, oral tests and various assignments. Skills assessment can be done through practice, products, projects and portfolios. The attitude assessment technique in online learning can be done by self-assessment through questionnaires and journals filled out by students.

Abstract

Based on the initial observations made by the author that most teachers do not understand the concept of gradation and have not been able to apply color gradations in pictures. The article aims to give an assistance of Training of Color Gradation for Teachers’ Early Childhood Education and Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Maarif at Metro City to develop teachers’ competence. The method used ABCD (Asset Based Community) to maximize the potential assets, which includes individual assets, communities, infrastructure, community, et al. This activity is specifically for Early Childhood Education teachers and Raudhatul Athfal Teachers Maarif in Metro City for 2 days. The implementation stages include carrying out an initial test through the process of coloring pictures, after that training is carried out, then practice and evaluation of the coloring results. The result shows that the teachers understand coloring techniques using color combinations, teachers can be creative with more interesting and sharp images and colors, teachers' fine motor skills have increased, so they are more confident when receiving personal drawing and coloring services Keywords:  Training of Color Gradation, Developing Teachers’ Competent, Color Gradation

Abstract

The pandemic conditions since two years ago have left people vigilant about economic security, especially food security. Another problem is that the reduction of agricultural land and the density of residential housing has encouraged the emergence of a new concept of gardening on limited land. Agriculture in urban areas with minimal land is called Urban Farming by the agricultural community. This service aims to provide knowledge to partners about alternative strategies to strengthen family food security through microgreen cultivation. The method used in this service is the Community Based Research (CBR) approach, which prioritizes the utilization of assets and potentials that are around and owned by the community or society.  This activity was carried out in 3 stages; training, cultivation preparation and implementation of microgreen cultivation. Many people got the benefits and virtues of microgreen cultivation.  The partners of this service are community groups who are members of the WES (Women and Environmental Studies) Payungi community which focuses on women and environmental issues and actively participates in spreading knowledge about the environment to the surrounding community. By conducting this training to the partner group, the partners can practice growing microgreens for themselves and participate in introducing it to a wider community environment. Abstract

This article aims to increase community empowerment by exploring the potential and mentality of children can be trained in instilling religious values and train children's mentality in communicating in public through competitions Al-Quran Learning Center (TPQ). The method used ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. It is as a model approach in which it contains community empowerment and development. The ABCD approach is made to invite the community to recognize and explore the potential possessed by a community. The retrieval of these informants is done by interviews, observation and documentation. The data used research directly accommodated by Mataram Udik and taken from several articles from the scientific publication database Publish or Perish. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are great children who have mastered the competition materials. From these results, it can be seen that public awareness to improve human resources is still very lacking. The lack of mental training of children makes children hesitate to show their talents in public. From the competition activities, it is hoped that the people of Mataram Udik Village will start paying more attention to the importance of mental training and developing children's potential to shape children's behavior and character for the better.

Abstract

The service activity of UMALA Metro lecturers and students in Tanjung Harapan Village is "Internalization of Ahlusunnah Wal Jama'ah Values in Forming Community Character and Empowering Creative Economy Based on Local Potential", while producing work that will be useful and memorable for the community in Tanjung Harapan Village, Seputih Banyak District. The aim of this activity is to provide an alternative to the waste problem that exists in society, especially inorganic waste so that it has economic value and usefulness, as well as to increase the creativity of children in the village, especially students at TPQ Al Ikhlas in making handicrafts from water bottle caps. mineral. The community service program carried out is intended to reduce waste scattered everywhere, which is then processed into handicrafts. Method: PAR (Participatory Action Research), namely service based on problems that are discovered and then provide alternative solutions. Results: The use of this waste makes a craft to increase creativity for students at TPQ Al Ikhlas, using the recycling method to produce a work of artistic and economic value. Conclusion: The introduction of the PAR method using the 5T method (To Know, To Understand, To Plan, To Action, To Reflection) to find alternative solutions to a waste problem makes crafting a form of student creativity

Abstract

Plastic waste management is the main focus of community service in Tanjung Harapan village, Seputih Banyak sub-district, Central Lampung. Plastic waste is identified as a crucial problem with significant negative impacts on the environment. The aim of this service is to gain an understanding of the concept of plastic waste management, creating a clean environment and providing a positive impact on local residents. Through the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle), this service aims to reduce plastic waste in the village. Using the CBPR (Community Based Participatory Research) method which is a mixed method for researching community aspirations and needs. Participants in this activity were 15 PKK women from Tanjung Harapan village. This activity was held at the Tanjung Harapan Seputih Banyak Village Meeting Hall. The results of this service show that PKK women as activity participants increasingly understand how to manage plastic waste. The conclusion of this activity had a positive impact on PKK women because they were given strengthened insight into how to manage plastic waste.
