Abstract

Electrical energy is a primary need in modern human life. However, with the increase in fuel prices, the right technology is needed to overcome it, in the form of battery and inverter innovations which are combined to produce an output of 220 volts ac which has the same capacity as PLN electricity. This PkM DPRM activity was held in Manggar Village for 3 days, namely @ u on July 30, August 3 and August 4, 2020 which was attended by fishermen, fried food traders and Manggar Village employees themselves. The equipment is designed with a capacity of 300 watts and 1000 watts, tailored to the needs of the residents. The benefit greatly eases the use of diesel generator sets for fishermen, which from Rp. 108,000 / month, has now become Rp. 0, -. Likewise for fried food traders, who originally paid Rp. 70,000 / month for electricity for lighting at night, now it is Rp. 0, -. Based on the results of the questionnaire, participants are very grateful for the presence of this technology in their village. Abstract

The air conditioning (AC) system affects the performance, comfort and health of the vehicle operator/passenger. The increasing use of AC equipment in vehicles causes the need for skilled AC workers also increase. The absence of AC practice equipment in technical vocational schools causes the implementation of learning to be not optimal. Through the Community Service (PKM) activity of Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan (Poltekba) in 2020 an AC practice tool will be made, which will then be applied to service partners. The activity of manufacturing and assembling AC practical equipment is divided into three parts, manufacture and assembly of the frame, assembly of AC components, and electrical installations. The application of AC practice tools will improve the service partners learning facilities, especially in AC practice activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to train teachers to have knowledge and skills in designing and developing learning with E-learning based on Moodle LMS. This training was given to SMP Maria Goretti Sungailiat Bangka teachers. The method of implementing the service is carried out in three phases: phase 1. preparation; phase 2. implementation; and phase 3. Evaluation. The service is carried out face-to-face and online. Through face-to-face training, lectures and demonstrations were held for 3 meetings in July 2020 with 10 teachers participating in this training. Online provided using the Moodle application. The results of the training showed that the knowledge and skills of teachers in designing and developing learning using the Moodle LMS E-learning application increased. Furthermore, from the Moodle application that has been developed by the servant for learning that the teacher provides to students, it can be applied properly.

Abstract

The management of Mentawir Tourism Village in Panajam Paser Utara Regency is carried out by community who are the members of the Tiram Tambun Tourism Awareness Group. In developing Mentawir Tourism Village, one of the requirements that must be fulfilled is the availability of accommodation or lodging facilities in the form of a homestay. Tiram Tambun has started to develop several houses to be used as homestays. However, the lack of knowledge and skills about the homestay causes the management to be not optimal. Therefore, in this community service activity, training and assistance were given to Tiram Tambun regarding homestay management. The results of this activity are in the form of increased insight and knowledge also skills about homestay management. This is indicated by the addition of the number of homestays and the existence of efforts to meet several standard homestay criteria.

Abstract

This article provides an analysis of the situation and the need for solutions to businesses founded by employees who were affected by the layoffs. The business that was established was a new business that was categorized as Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). The business established by this partner has so far not been going well because it has not generated a stable cash flow. Even SME partners stated that they are still losing money. Many products that are marketed experience a return because the sales system is still in the stalls / shops and does not sell well. Abstract

SMKN 1 Losarang is a vocational education institution where the level of mastery of skills is the main point in graduate output. Completeness of learning facilities and practical facilities in achieving competence in the automotive sector is certainly a necessity that must be fulfilled. By looking at a large number of students in the Automotive engineering department while the practicum facilities are still very minimal, the limited practicum facilities in supporting competency in the automotive field become an obstacle considering the ratio of the number of students to car AC trainer machines is 1:36 so that a solution is needed, namely increasing the number of facilities in the form of car AC engine trainers to improve student competence at SMK N 1 Losarang. With the application of car AC engine technology, the competence of students majoring in Automotive has increased by 20.5%. This is based on the comparison of the free test value to the post-test score that has been done

Abstract

The geographical condition of Indramayu, which is in the lowlands, is not the right land for cultivating strawberry plants. But it is not impossible for this plant to grow and develop well. The purpose of this community service program is to provide technical guidance to improve the knowledge and skills of Pangkalan Village young people in cultivating strawberry plants by applying climate engineering technology. The equipment given in this activity is water cooling, air conditioning, temperature and humidity control, and spray machines. This activity can be said to be successful as seen by the skills of the participants in managing tools and growing and developing strawberry plants well.

Abstract

One of the big problems in Indramayu regency is that there is still a large number of unemployed, especially from school and college graduates, while the demands of the need or availability of skilled workers in the industry have not been able to absorb the results of these graduates. Based on data from BAPPEDA in Indramayu regency, the labor force data three years earlier has reached 782,856 around 63.25% is TPAK (Labor Force Unemployment Rate). Answering the important problem above, there needs to be concrete efforts of Polytechnic State of Indramayu (POLINDRA) in realizing Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi, namely Community Service Activities (PKM), in this case conducting an entrepreneurial program for Polindra graduates by creating a service unit in the field of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning (R-HVAC) to help overcome productive labor unemployment. The purpose of this PKM is to produce competent young educated technopreneurs in the field of R-HVAC who are able to work independently in order to improve the standard of living and reduce the number of unemployed productive age, especially in the Indramayu regency. This program is conducted by involving graduate students, especially those majoring in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning who have entrepreneur interests and have competence in their fields. Then they are educated their knowledge and skills, entrepreneur insights and work ethic, so that when running a business can be done professionally and responsibly.

Abstract

The source of electricity for public facilities at the Green Open Space Park in Balikpapan City, which is used as a tourist spot, is very dependent on PLN sources, resulting in the problem of an electrical energy crisis. The purpose of this activity is to disseminate Smart Bench technology products with the generation of solar cell electricity, which functions as a seat and a place to charge mobile electronic devices as well as a source of electricity for lighting to increase public participation in using parks as tourist areas in the city. The method of implementing this service is applying solar cell technology for the supply of electric energy for park bench facilities, socialization and training to partners regarding the operation of intelligent benches, counselling about mapping the tourism potential of city parks. The result of this activity is the availability of a multifunctional park bench product as a seat, a mobile phone charging station, and a source of lighting for the garden area. In addition, there is an increase in partner knowledge in identifying the potential for park tourism in the city of Balikpapan.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country which has enormous potential in terms of fishery productivity. One type of fishery productivity in Indonesia is shrimp farming productivity. However, despite having high potential, not a few cultivators experience crop failure. This is due to several factors, including the lack of understanding of the cultivators who do not observe the important parameters of the pond, cultivation methods based on hereditary techniques that do not see the real condition of the pond, and so on. Therefore, to overcome these problems, this community service program aims to implement a technology utilization for monitoring, management and automatic control so that aquaculture ponds are always in optimal condition. This system is called the fishtech platform which implements Internet of Things technology. With Internet of Things (IoT) technology, it is possible for users (cultivators) to know in real time the condition and quality of aquaculture ponds.
