Abstract

Political parties are political participation in constitutional democratic in an effort to realize the national ideals of Indonesian people. In a democratic party, electoral activities are an arena to express people's freedom in choosing and selecting their leaders. Therefore political parties as political machinery must have the best strategy in order to understand people's tastes to achieve party victory through legislative elections. This study aims to find out how the strategy of political parties in winning elections for legislative members in Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra Province. The study used a qualitative method with a case study approach (case research design study). All data taken through in-depth interviews to ten informants consisting of administrators of political parties, legislative members, political observers, and the public. The data obtained then analyzed thematically by means of being collected, reduced, presented and closed with conclusions. The results of the study found that there are four strategies carried out by political parties in winning legislative members at the time of the election, namely; first, utilizing the influence of party leaders, secondly, disseminating legislative candidates through print and electronic media, thirdly, procuring self-sufficiency by legislative candidates and fourth, direct socialization of legislative candidates to the public.

Abstract

This research is designed to identify English language needs in the hospitality and travel industry. The data was obtained from the General Manager of Garuda Indonesia Padang, the HRD Manager of Grand Zuri Hotel Padang, and 24 employees working in both those companies. The researchers used instruments; an interview and a questionnaire. Interviews were conducted with the two managers, while questionnaires were distributed to the employees of the companies. The interviews were transcribed and then analyzed using a descriptive approach. The questionnaires were analyzed Software SPSS for Windows release 22.0. This research reveals that, in the hospitality and travel industry, speaking (35%) and listening (33%) are the most needed of the four (4) language skills. These skills are primarily needed to greet customers (who are dominantly non-native speakers of English). In addition, the employees in the two companies are mostly required to serve customers whose English is basic. The findings of this research are expected to provide valuable information for ESP teachers and curriculum designers in organizing ESP syllabus and teaching materials

Abstract

Understanding of mathematical concepts is one of the abilities that must be possessed by students, because it’s the basic to achieve the aims of further mathematics learning. However, the fact is that the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade 8 students of Junior High School 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung is still low, so it needs to be improved. The learning is still teacher-centered in the classroom with the result that the students were not able to construct their knowledge. One of the learning models that can support students to actively construct their knowledge is MASTER learning model. This kind of research is both descriptive and quasi experiment, with Static Group Design. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded as follows: the first is the activites of students who learn with MASTER learning model is better than those who learn with conventional learning. The second is obtained P- values = 0.024 < α = 0.05, so that understanding the mathematical concepts of students who learn with MASTER learning model is better than those who learn with conventional learning.

Abstract

This research is focus to analyze teachers in implementing three domains that is cognitive, affective, and psychomotor that suggested by Bloom. Then problems that feced by teachers in implementing these three domian in teaching and learning process. this is qualitative research in case study approach. Data of this research were get from observation and interview three teachers whose teach English subject in Senior High School 5 Padang West Sumatra Indonesia. Base on data that researcher have got, researcher found that: first teachers are not well prepare lesson plan. This is seen in cognitive domain (36.6%) then affective (27.6%) and psychomotor (35.7%). In general from percentage above, result of education still not maximal. Second, there are three problems that faced by teachers in teaching and learning proces, they are: (i) limit of time implementing three domain, (ii) ability of each students in english subject and (iii) limitation of teachers in understanding in implementing this currriculum because of lack training.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with a majority Muslim population and at the same time being a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, should ideally have a good zakat management system. In fact, Indonesia only has regulations regarding the management of zakat. The purpose of this study was to find out and understand the implementation of the principles of accountability and transparency in ZIS management by BAZNAS of Tanah Datar Regency. The type of research used is qualitative research, by adopting case study research. Data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. This research is analyzed using the concept developed by Miles and Huberman. The researcher collected the necessary data, then reduced the data by focusing on the researcher's views on the implementation of accountability and transparency implemented by BAZNAS of Tanah Datar Regency. From research conducted in the field it can be concluded that BAZNAS of Tanah Datar Regency has implemented the principle of accountability in managing ZIS funds in accordance with the concept developed byIndonesia Magnifence of Zakat both in the decision-making process and in the policy socialization process. Furthermore, for the principle of transparency carried out by BAZNAS, Tanah Datar Regency has not fully implemented the principle of transparency. Of the five indicators of the principle of transparency, there are two principles of transparency that have not been fully implemented by BAZNAS of Tanah Datar Regency, namely the publication of reports on financial position through the mass media and auditing both sharia and finance.

Abstract

The success of an organization is determined by various aspects, including leadership, competence, cooperation and communication. In the aspect of communication, the intelligence organization of a person's interpersonal communication is a very important component. Interpersonal intelligence is one of the intelligences in which a person's ability to establish good social relationships with indicators such as empathy, pro-social attitudes, self-awareness, effective problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively. This intelligence is needed by a person in meeting the need for personal competence and social competence. The article aims to explore how important the intelligence of someone's interpersonal communication is in supporting the success of an organization. The methodology used in writing this article is content analysis, one approach to writing scientific work in qualitative research. All data comes from the results of the authors' reading of various theories, expert opinions and the results of previous research related to the issues discussed. All data is then collected, reduced, presented and closed with conclusions. The results of the discussion of this article are expected to be used as additional reference material for the community, academics, subsequent researchers who will discuss this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Saniri is part of the state government which has the duties, functions, and authorities which are listed and stipulated in the Regional Regulation of Central Maluku Regency Number 04 of 2006. Saniri is formed to support the administration of state government, nd and is domiciled as a supporting element for the administration of the state government and partners of the head of state government. Thus, in the state government, Saniri has a big role and occupies an important position, because it can determine the direction of development to be achieved by the community through the State Government. As part of the state government as well as the representation of the people of the country, the state Saniri must be able to synergize with the state government in carrying out its duties and responsibilities. Saniri must understand their duties, authorities, and responsibilities, with good performance. Because performance is success in carrying out tasks or work results that can be achieved by a person or group in an organization in accordance with their respective authorities and responsibilities or about how a person is expected to function and behave in accordance with the tasks assigned to him and the quantity, quality and time spent on the task. Indeed, achieving good performance is strongly influenced by various factors, both internal and external factors. This study uses a qualitative method that aims to examine and analyze the factors that influence the performance of the saniri in carrying out their duties, functions, and responsibilities in the country's government.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the coaching method used by the teacher in shaping the morals of the students at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah Baitul Makmur Padang. Sources of data were taken from six informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The six informants consisted of three coaches and three students. All the results of the interviews were then analyzed systematically through four steps of analytical activities, namely (data collection, data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions). Overall the results of the analysis show; Regarding the coaching method used by the teacher in instilling morals in students by using six methods, namely, i) discussion ii) story iii) advice iv) exemplary v) habituation vi) punishment. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future research in examining different issues related to this problem and other issues relevant to this context.

Abstract

Students of Islamic Studies as a candidate for religious teachers really need to be equipped with the ability to read the Qur’an. Religious teachers as the main person in charge of Al-Quran education for students in schools must have deep competence in the Qur'an. Among the competences of the Qur’an that must be possessed is proficiency in reading the Qur’an. That is, before an Islamic Religious Education student is assigned to become an educator at school, the student must be equipped with good competence, in the context of this study the author specifically discusses competence in aspects of reading the Qur’an. This study aims to determine the competency of reading the Qur’an for Islamic Religious Studies students in the Tashih Recitation of the Qur’an program. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. The data source was taken from thirty-two informants, namely students from class 2020-2021 using a questionnaire. All data were then analyzed descriptively using the SPSS Windows version 25 quantitative analysis tool (Statistical Package for Social Scrience Version 25) Overall the results of the analysis of this study indicate that the program tashih recitation of the Qur’an is a program that supports students in improving their reading of the Qur’an, bearing in mind that there are still students who are not fluent in reading the Qur’an so this program is a solution to this problem. Then there is an increase in the ability to read the Qur’an as a result of the implementation of this program with a percentage (12.5%) to (6.25%) in the very low category, (68.75%) to (15.2%) in the low category, (9.38%) became (62.5%) in the moderate category, (6.25%) became (9.38%) in the high category and settled at (3.12%) for the very high category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of education as seen from the mean year of schooling and literacy rate, health as seen from life expectancy and infant mortality rate on economic growth in Malaysia. This study uses the panel regression analysis method to see the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable as seen from data in 2016 to 2020 in Malaysia. By using the Classic Assumption Test and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis methods to see whether the independent variables can affect the dependent variable in Malaysia. The results of this study indicate that mean year of schooling, literacy rate, life expectancy and infant mortality rate have no significant effect on economic growth in Malaysia. From the research results, it is suggested to the government to be able to improve the quality of education and health in the community by providing facilities evenly throughout the country. The need to raise awareness that the importance of education and health as human capital investment. In addition, there is a need for good education and health planning in an effort to improve the quality of human resources.
