Abstract

Production activities are closely related to business actors or economic actors who must apply economic principles. It is from this principle that the optimization problem arises. This problem can be solved in various ways, one of which is linear programming. The transportation method is one of linear programming. This method is used to adjust the distribution from sources that provide the same product to the destination optimally. The method of transportation is an important component in its operations because it greatly affects the costs incurred in product distribution. The transportation method has two stages of completion, the first is determining the initial solution and the second is determining the optimal solution. KSAM is a new method formulated to solve transportation problems. The KSAM (Karagul-Sahin Approximation Method) method that was recently introduced is said to provide fairly good performance compared to other methods. From the transportation problem that is addressed in this article by comparing several methods, it is found that the KSAM method provides the best solution with a fairly large solution deviation. then this method can be used as a reference to get the optimal solution.

Abstract

Caries is one of the dental and oral health problems caused by the Streptococcus genus. The control of dental plaque has been done with brushing teeth and using mouthwash based chemicals that pose a risk to the stomach. The purpose of this study to determine the active compounds contained in extracts and inhibitory activity as well as the power to kill a minimum of guava leaf extract on growth Streptococcus sp.. The method of this research is MIC and MBC test. Data of MBC test was using one way ANOVA. Based on the research is showed guava leaf extract containing the active compound. MIC test concentration 20% showed a decrease in OD values and MBC not significantly (p = 0.065> 0.05). Conclusion active compounds contained in extracts is alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. MBC statistical tests showed that the leaf extract of guava can’t inhibit the growth of Streptococcus sp..

Abstract

Phytotelmata are plants that hold water in one or more parts of their body of plant. The water that is collected in the body parts of the phytotelmata is used as a breeding habitat for Aedes spp. This study aimed to determine the diversity of phytotelamata species in Kediri, which is one of the cities with the highest DHF cases in January 2019 in East Java. This research was descriptive observational. The sampling point was determined using purposive sampling method. The results showed that there were nine species of phytotelmata which were used as breeding sites for Aedes spp. in Kediri, namely Musa paradisiaca, Colocasia esculanta, Neoregelia spectabilis, Bambusa sp., Neoregelia charm, Aechmea fasciata, Xanthosoma sagittifolium, dan Bromelia sp. Species of Aedes founded were mostly Ae. albopictus. The average volume of water contained in one part of the phytotelmata is 90.11 ml with a water temperature ranging from 25-26oC and pH of water is 6-7.

Abstract

Boranan rice is a traditional and typical food from the Lamongan city and can only found in the Lamongan area. Boranan rice, consisting of rice, spices, side dishes, and peanut crips; which is a type of cracker made from rice flour with seasoned and fried. One of special side dish from Boranan Rice is smoked Sili Fish. Sili Fish is a tropical river fish that usually used to ornamental fish and also cosumed by Lamongan people. The purpose of this study was to identify the type of Sili Fish that used as a complement to boranan rice and to describe the history of Sili Fish that used for side dishes of boranan rice. The research was conducted using interviews and direct field observations. The type of Sili fish used in the side dish of boranan rice is Macrognathus aculeatus (Order: Synbranchiformes, Family: Matacembelidae). Sili fish is used as a typical side dish of boran rice because no community has yet processed sili fish as food, so that the Lamongan people, especially those who sell boran rice, take advantage of the presence of sili fish which is found in the Bengawan Solo river by making it a special side dish in boran rice.

Abstract

5G technology is expected to start spreading in 2020. Underlies the need for study and research on this technology. This study aims to design an antenna that can be used for Fifth Generation (5G) mobile communication transmission. Designing an appropriate antenna design to provide antenna characteristics by the expected working frequency needs to be done so that antenna performance can be maximized. The manufacture of the antenna is carried out with the stages of the process starting from the study of the material, making the antenna design, then this design is analyzed using the CST Suite 2017 software. The analytical methods used include FDTD, FEM, and, MoM. The simulation with the software aims to get the working frequency in the 5G range, radiation patterns, polarization, gain and, return loss. The results of the simulation are then performed the VSWR characterization, return loss, reflection coefficient, radiation pattern and, gain. Furthermore, comparisons and conclusions can be made. Antennas that have been designed, fabricated and, carried out characterization have concluded that the antenna is capable of working at a frequency of 28 GHz. Characterizatio of the antenna are VSWR 1.295, Return Loss -19.01 dB, Directional radiation pattern and, Gain of 13.2 dBi.

Abstract

Thanks to the addition of copper (Cu) metal into black rice (Oryza sativa L. indica) dye as an active material, It has been successfully developed Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC). The structure of the sample as a sandwich consisting of the working electrode (TiO2), dye, electrode of platinum (Pt) and the electrolyte sandwiched between two electrodes. Extraction process of black rice Dye was stirred for 30 minutes, then mixed with copper metal (Cu) and be waited for 24 hours. Cu metal was obtained by stirring Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate for 2 hours. The Current and voltage (I-V) of the sample was characterized by using Keithley 2602A. The measurement results showed that the inserting Cu metal of 2 g (0.36 M) was reached the highest efficiency of 0.0217%.

Abstract

Control of plant pests by using biological agents is one way to create higher quality plants. One of the biological agents used to control pests and plant diseases is microorganisms. Specific pest control, cheap, also has a lower risk of environmental pollution. Entomopathogenic fungi are organisms that live as insect parasites, fungi, including microorganisms that generally live in the soil. Soil is one of the places to see the presence of fungi in nature. One of the entomopathogenic fungi that has the potential to control several species of insect pests is Beauveria bassiana. This fungus is very effective as a biological agent that can infect insect pests such as the Lepidoptera order. The fungus Beauveria bassiana is a microscopic fungi with somatic structures that form fine thread hyphae (septal hyphae). Entomopathogenic fungi can be obtained by exploration from various locations with the insect feeding system method. Fungus isolates can also be obtained through the insect bait method.

Abstract

The Lecanicillium lecanii is an entomopathogenic biological agent that can be used to control plant pest organisms. This study aimed to determine the use of liquid media derived from boiled potato water as a propagation material for the Lecanicillium lecani. The propagation of the fungus starts from propagation on PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) sloping agar media, propagation or inoculation of the fungus on solid media (rice), then propagation of the fungus on liquid media (potato boiled water). The results of this activity showed that liquid media (potato boiled water) can be used as a medium for propagation of the Lecanicillium lecanii because potatoes have a starch content with good nutrients and carbohydrates to be used as growth media for entomopathogenic for example is Lecanicillium lecanii.

Abstract

As an agricultural country, Indonesia relies on the agricultural sector in almost all of its territory, including in Solokuro District, Lamongan Regency, East Java. The agricultural sector is the mainstay sector because this sector plays a role in providing food for the community. The plant that is widely cultivated as well as a staple food in Indonesia is corn. Corn is the second food crop after rice, even in some areas growing corn is more profitable than growing rice. In Solokuro Subdistrict itself corn is a superior crop, to find out the amount of harvest in the future, you can use the trend moment method. The trend moment method is a method used for forecasting or prediction. The data used in this study is corn harvest data in Solokuro District in 2017-2019 to predict maize yields in Solokuro District in 2022.

Abstract

This study aimed to determining how the production process of Azotobacter sp. using liquid media as the biological agent of Azotobacter sp. Azotobacter sp. is a nitrogen fixing bacteria as fertilizer of soil. Azotobacter sp. including natural biological agents that are environmentally. The process production of the biological agent was used liquid media from soybean which carried out in the coordinator office of PTPH bojonegoro. The result showed that propagation of Azotobacter sp. can be done with the stages of making bacterial isolation on Natrium Agar (NA) and making liquid media with soybean (based ingredients). The calculation method using the TPC method is done by counting the number of bacterial colonies that appear on the petridish. From the results of the calculation of the TPC the average number is 3,8 x 108, showed that is feasible to be used as an effective growth regulator fertilizer.
