Jurnal Eksperimental merupakan media ilmiah pendidikan bagi guru madrasah ibtidaiyah yang diterbitkan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah STI Tarbiyah Al-Hilal Sigli. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali setahun yaitu pada bulan Juli dan Desember. Selanjutnya, jurnal ini diterbitkan dalam dua versi, yaitu cetak dan online. Fokus jurnal ini memuat artikel-artikel penelitian tentang Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/Pendidikan Guru SD/MI/SD, seperti analisis kompetensi, strategi pembelajaran, teori pembelajaran, pengembangan pembelajaran, profesionalisme pendidik, dan hasil penelitian. Reviewer akan meninjau setiap makalah yang dikirimkan ke redaksi jurnal eksperimental.

Abstract

Character is a behavior which is showed by a person in his environment either utterances, writing, performance or the way to express himself to face social character in daily life. So, character can be refers to the way of thinking and acting which is a typical in life and cooperating in family, society and nation. The qualified individual is one who can make decision and be responsible to consequence he already did. Furthermore, the character also means individuality, behavior, moral, or personality which is formed from internalization of various virtues and is believed and used as base to view, thought, act and behavior.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the implementation of experiment method to increase students’ understanding on concept in Konsep Dasar IPA II course. The kind of research done was Classroom Action Research. Which consisted of two cycles. The subject of the research was The undergraduate students of PGMI semester III class 1. The number of the students were 37. The result indicated that the students got improve in each cycle. In cycle I, Activity 1 and 2 the students were in the fair level, while in activity 3 until 6 stepped up into good level. Next, in cycle II, activity 1 until 4 the students got good, while four other activities got very good. Meanwhile the students understanding got improve from cycle 1 to cycle 2 with the mean score of the test was 77.0 while cycle II was 77.45. The improvement from pre test to cycle I was 11.55 point, for cycle II the improvement was 12 point. So, the conclusion is the experiment method can improve students’ understanding on concept.

Abstract

Tests are a series of questions or exercises that are used to measure skills, knowledge, intelligence, abilities or talents possessed by individuals or groups. A test is said to be of quality if it meets the requirements, namely validity, reliability, objectivity, practice, and economics. Determining the validity of the test using the Product Moment correlation formula, to determine whether the overall test in the form of choice is reliable is used Spearman-Brown formula, while to determine the reliability of the test in the form of essay used the formula of variance. Learning achievement is the result achieved by students during the teaching and learning process. In learning a teacher must understand the subject matter and also must be able to carry out evaluation (assessment) through the right and correct procedures. Therefore, each teacher must understand how the test criteria are correct and correct in order to measure student achievement well.

Abstract

This research wanted to identify whether the implementation of Cooperative Snowball Throwing could increase the achievements of the fourth grade students of MIN 42 Pidie in learning the topic sound and hearing sense. This research was a Classroom Action Research. It was done in three cycles. The data was collected by involving four main steps : Planning, Implementing, Observing and Reflecting. The results described in qualitative data analyzing. It was found that the average scores of the students increased significantly in each cycle. Cycle I : 70.23, cycle II : 81.36 and cycle III : 87. 27. Moreover, the students’ participation in learning was also gradually growth. Thus, the implementation of Cooperative Snowball Throwing could improve the students’ achievements in learning.

Abstract

This purpose of this research is to increase students’ interest at the elementary level of SD Negeri 4 Sigli by using Pictures in learning Indonesian Language. The type of researched was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The object of the research was the students’ interest at SD Negeri 4 Sigli using pictures as media. The technique of collecting data was observation. The observation was used to identify the fact about students’ interest. The data Analysis used was qualitative description and percentage of students’ learning interest. The result showed that through pictures media the students’ learning interest increased. The earlier observation had 50 %. After doing treatment in cycle 1 the mean value was only 51,1. Most of the students still got lower value in learning achievements and also below the standard criteria i.e. 75 %. Thus it had to be continued to the next cycle. In the cycle II the students’ mean value increased 98,12 %. Most students got highest score in this cycle i.e. 100%. The conclusion was the use of pictures media gave the improvement in students’ learning at SD Negeri 4 Sigli.

Abstract

Every nation is seemed to be qualified to have quality and leadership which can create more dynamic solidarity and unity. It aims at having capability to persist in various competitions and even it is expected to create more competition and superiority. It is also means in the context of broader community, which every nation is demanded to take part actively and positively either in national, regional or international. But, it should keep in mind that in every process of leadership, we will always face the chain which is complete from top to down or even to side to side. Thus, understanding and development in the view and perspective of leadership are important to improve strategy and competition. Especially to create national quality and productivity which are full of solidarity and unity.

Abstract

As the time goes, it has had a big effect to knowledge and learning. One of the changes of the paradigm was earlier learning orientation that focused on teacher (teacher center). Nowadays it is concentrated in students. The earlier methods were more dominated by expository, while at present is participatory. The approach used earlier were more textual but now contextual. A learning process is not only studying about concept, theory or fact but also daily application. Hence, the materials of learning are not only consisted of simple entitities such as memorizing and understanding but also concerning on more complex materials which needed analysis, application and synthesis.one of innovations which is interesting is the raise of Innovative progressive learning or better known as learning practice. The research statements were what Innovative progressive learning is. What is the characteristics of Innovative progressive learning. What are the examples of Innovative progressive learning. How are the implications of Innovative progressive learningin learning components. To find the data the researcher employed qualitative methods i.e literature study. the result indicated that Innovative progressive learning means the innovation of learning designed to aid students to understand theory or concepts through learning experience.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the capability and learning outcomes of the older students of Primary Education Department in learning English as a basic course. The researcher wanted to see and explain the real image of their learning in their current ages. The participants of the study involved three older students of first year in Primary Education Department. Regarding the technique of collecting data, the researcher used three instruments i.e observation sheet, interview guide and test. The data were analysed qualitatively and quantitavively by using words and statistic descriptive. Results indicated that the competences of the two of three older students in English class were not effective any longer. Their learning outcomes also showed their weakness of absorbing input presented in learning process. On the other hand, another older student showed an improvement after giving strong effort.

Abstract

The competence of lecturers as educators has a very good position, which has a direct influence on the learning process, quality of graduates and competitive output patterns. The purpose of this study was to determine the program of coaching, implementation of coaching, and competency development of lecturers to improve student achievement at the Tarbiyah Al-Hilal Sigli College. This research was conducted at STIT Al-Hilal Sigli. The resource persons consisted of the Chairperson, lecturers and students of STIT Al-Hilal Sigli. This research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study indicate that the long-term lecturer competency development program includes syllabus development, evaluation of lecturer performance, lecturer development that is relevant to the subjects taught through. The development of lecturer competence, especially by sending lecturers to continue their education to the Masters and Doctoral levels in various universities. The implementation of lecturer competency development is not only focused on further education, but is also carried out through activities by inviting tutors from outside, holding scientific seminars and discussions, comparative studies and partnerships, which are carried out with several Islamic universities, such as IAIN on the Java island. The existence of knowledge that is built positively can add to the experience of lecturers, thereby increasing their competence as teaching staff and educators. Obstacles in developing lecturer competencies, limited student programs, there are still many lecturers who do not master foreign languages, especially Arabic and English.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the implementation of the PAKEM strategy on the science learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of MIN Labui and to determine whether there was an effect of the PAKEM strategy on the science learning outcomes of the fourth graders of MIN Labui. This study uses classroom action research, using Kurt Lewin's model, which states that: in one cycle consists of four main steps : planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The results of the CAR research through the Influence of the Implementation of PAKEM Strategy on Science Learning Outcomes in Grade IV Students of MIN Labui in cycle I showed the average value of student evaluation was 6.42%. Student learning outcomes in cycle II were also not good, but the second cycle meeting students have had a slight change, students have dared to ask the teacher about natural resource material that they have not understood, the average value of students in cycle II is 7.10%. Teacher and student learning activities are maximized and in cycle III student learning outcomes already optimal, 8.17%
